    I'm done arguing.

And it's also how "face camping" is defined.

You're not arguing, you're just trying to change definitions.

No, it was an action that unintentionally caused a bug where the survivors could not unhook each other.

"My" definition is the definition; the one adopted by developers and community alike way back when face camping started to become a problem. Trying to redefine terms won't change the fact that face camping is an exploit wherein the other Survivors do not get the "unhook" prompt. Everything else is just camping.

They removed an exploit relating to Facecamping.

As I mentioned above you can still Facecamp the survivor on the hook. The devs didn't remove the killers ability to camp the survivor less then a meter away from his face. You can still perform the action.

What don't you get about this?

Face camping was the exploit. What don't you get about that?

I am still able to perform Facecamping on survivors. I cannot block the hook prompt now when I do however.

Because It happens almost all the time I keep running into a Survivor + killer friends and I'm not talking about two people only there are dozens of people doing it .. using Perks like Bond .. and empathy to locate others .. and having his friend kill all the other survivors and they keep farming points after that .. now esp with Double XP 90 % of the games I end up with a bunch of cheaters .. it's infuriating and Breaking the game

Before 2.0 update I ran into a glitcher and he kept trolling me out of map I'd upload a video of it later

People with Speedhacks ... almost that seems like an infinite Dead Hard / Sprint Burst ..

And I do Realize Devs will have to go through a lot to fix and adjust many perks if they were to stop cheaters ... so you don't have to do that .

Just include some in-Game Mechanic where I could Block anyone whom I never wanna match up with... is it that Hard !! 😔

Teaming up with the Killer isn't cheating. It's just being an #########. As for the speedhack, that was fixed with the latest patch. As for blocking people, they tried that in another game and the good players were primarily the target of those bans; it really is "that hard", because it's easily abused by salty players.

    We can argue the community definition all we want but here's the reality of it;

    • Facecamping blocked the unhooked prompt.
    • Developers added options for the survivors for a multi unhook swivel
    • Facecamping now no longer blocks the unhook prompt.
    • Its is still possible to Facecamp, its not possible to Facecamp to block the unhook prompt.

I am still able to stand 1 meter away from a survivor and perform the Facecamping action.

It's not face camping if it doesn't block the unhook prompt. That's just "camping". Deal with it.

Only problem is face camping is still VERY possible.

With ONE Killer, and it requires an exploit that, according to you, takes some time to perform.

  • Any "alternative" to Self Care would have to be as powerful as Self Care or even more so, and any perk that's as powerful or more powerful than Self Care would just get absorbed into the Survivor meta of using any and all safety net perks.

Fact is, Self Care needs to be nerfed into oblivion if the game is ever going to be balanced.

Dont twist it, I fully meant it should be possible sand not oppressively difficult to perform perkless against a fully decked killer

What's your reasoning for that statement? Because as far as I can tell, you want Killer perks to be so weak that a Survivor can essentially ignore them.

Same reasoning your o so precious face camping is ok, cuz daddy devs said so. All perks should be the same strength, but shouldn’t trump entire mechanics, like bbq on billy.

Where did the devs say that a perkless Survivor should be easily able to counter any and all Killer perks?

Devstream in the 80’s, they stated both sides should be viable without perks at ALL times.

Haha! Well you know...4 Streamers by survivors, 1 secret mori offering. You get the point. But ok that was funny :P

So did I understand that correctly that if the killer brings a mori to a 4 man streamer offering party from teh survivors, then this is considered toxic?

    Quite interesting :P

Of course it is! What, are you going to claim the Killer didn't know the Survivors' offerings beforehand? Everyone knows that Killers check EVERY Survivor profile for their bio, written in real-time.

  • SWF groups in particular should have their loadouts locked the moment they start searching for a lobby. As for the rest of the Survivors, they should be locked at 30 seconds, to give the Killer time to adjust their own loadout.

    • Survivors in a SWF group receive penalties to movement and action speed proportionate to the number of Survivors in the group.

Do you really want this? It'll only make things harder for lower ranked killers.

Punishing everyone for playing with friends is a good way to lose players.

How will it make things harder for lower ranked Killers? SWF groups already purposefully derank to troll them.

So? Then you're helping them depip to troll new Rank 20s permanently.

On top of that, you'd slowly bring high ranking SWFs down to ranks where they shouldn't be. This goes against the purpose of the Ranking system, and the same issue will happen to the OP without them even knowing.

The point is to stop boosting, but point taken. Anyway, what do you think of the rest?

  • Survivors want the Nurse nerfed because, like SovereignKing and RSB said, she's the only Killer who can actually compete with Survivors. That makes her a threat, and anything that's a threat to Survivors makes them cry for nerfs.

DC ban should be dished out at 5%, and reset your record every month.

I say 4 disconnects per month, and if you exceed that, you can't play for the rest of the month. However, this assumes that the Killer has a "Concede" option. I'll explain:

    • You're not entitled to DC from a game just because it's going poorly. That ruins everyone else's fun. If you're playing Survivor, you have the option to ######### by letting the Killer hook you.
    • If your Internet is so bad that you disconnect often, then you clearly shouldn't be playing online anyway. You're ruining everyone else's game, period.
    • If you have stuff to do IRL, then you shouldn't be playing anyway. However, 4 DCs allow for one emergency per week, which I'd say is a fair assumption.

I think Exhaustion from perks that increase movement speed should slow Survivors by 10% for the same amount of time that they were sped up. This will incentivize them to use Exhaustion perks the way they should be used - to gain distance, break line of sight, and escape - and not to continue looping.

Again, itd ruin all spots for balanced landing, where the only one that breaks sight is the game. Definitly a bad idea

An exception could be made for specific perks, but I think the basic idea has merit.

How about if sprint burst is the problem, nerf freakin sprint burst. If looping is a problem, nerf looping; damn!

If you don't think the idea has merit, just say so. No need to get all pissy.

Any game can get boring, eventually. When that happens, I just play something else. IMO, if a game frustrates you or bores you more often than it amuses you, that's when you need to stop playing it.

  • @TheTimeMachine said:
@Orion I suppose this goes back to how do players find their enjoyment. The “toxic” players are perhaps just part of any game?
    Maybe I’m one of them.

I find my enjoyment in a game well played.
As a Killer, that means trying to kill the Survivors, assuming they put up a fight without being toxic #########. I can enjoy a game where I get zero kills if the Survivors completely outplayed me without being toxic. Back when Survivors weren't so toxic, I let many live because they played so well I thought they deserved to live. Nowadays, though, my goal is to kill as many of them as possible as efficiently as possible.
As a Survivor, that means trying to escape and evade the Killer, assuming the Killer also put up a fight.

  • A few QoL/Balance changes I'd like to see, coming from someone who only used to play Survivor with a group:

    • Survivors in a SWF group do not rank up. They can only rank down.
    • Survivors in a SWF group will only face a Killer whose rank is higher than the highest ranked Survivor in the group, no matter the wait time. Obviously, if the highest ranked Survivor is rank 1, then they'll only face rank 1 Killers; again, no matter the wait time.
    • Survivors in a SWF group receive penalties to movement and action speed proportionate to the number of Survivors in the group.

2/4 perks being common is boring? How come you didn't get bored of the Survivor meta?

As a Killer, you gain the ability to “kill” your opponent. When I was up against tough survivors; Were certain perks predictable? Sure.
But as “prey”, these Killers feel too predictable though. I always thought it was the Killer’s responsibility to “put on a show”. No re-runs.

You thought wrong. Killers are there to play the game. They're not there for the Survivors' amusement.

  • @TheTimeMachine said:

You're not supposed to report them. If they disconnect too many times, they get banned automatically.

But do you realize that veteran players (such as myself) fear no penalties because we have probably around 1000 matches stacked up? The DC ban is based on a percentage off your total matches I think.
Of course, I’m a dedicated player so you won’t see me trolling away my honor.

I am aware. That's an argument for changing the percentages; not an argument that nothing is being done to punish people who DC a lot.

  • The Survivor-speak term "Tunneling", known as "Playing smart/effectively" in English, is when you take out the weakest link first to increase your chances of success. It's no different from, say, going after the guy with 10% HP in an FPS instead of going for the guy at 100% with body armor.
For some reason, Survivors believe that a Killer is only skilled if he purposefully plays poorly/casually. Efficient plays are not encouraged unless they're on the Survivor side.

Rule of thumb: if a Survivor tells you not to play in a certain way that you have ascertained as being effective (in the sense that it gets you more kills), it's the right thing to do.

  • You're not supposed to report them. If they disconnect too many times, they get banned automatically.

I understand completely what he is trying to say, you don't have to try hard and 4k every round and play like a dick bag to pip or "win" as a killer. Did people even attempt to actually read the original post or see that it was likely a survivor main who posted and just immediately start shitting on it.

This is a perfect example of why I don't usually bother talking with Survivors. I read the OP and asked for clarification on what his intention was. In return, I get insulted. Killers, on the other hand, can usually have a conversation.

LOL rebuttal I don't need to. You can counter all that, except for Doc (which I said in my post). Again read what I wrote because you are just assuming my argument otherwise.

I'm not "assuming" jack. You made invalid points for three elements of Killer detection and refused to acknowledge the rest. You claim you don't "need" to rebuke them because you have no real argument is my guess.

NC + M&A then don't heal unless you KNOW where the killer is. Also Spine Chill. You can stealth killers I do it all the time dude. It's knowing how the killer sees things, line of sight, being able to predict what perks they have. You might not always pull off the stealth but I can assure you it's all beatable.

Spine Chill tellls you when the Killer is looking in your direction. If you're healing and you see it go off, and the Killer has NC, that doesn't tell you to hide. It tells you you've just been found. The best you can do now is get a head start.

Oh and if you are too close for BBQ, the killer has NO IDEA where you are. A circle with a 40m radius is huge, I could be anywhere. If you get within range and he can't see you, then you are completely free to go where you want. I get inside BBQ range then leave. Easy.

You're SERIOUSLY underestimating the size of a 40m radius lmao.

I'm rank 1 survivor, and against good killers with BBQ if you play smart you can stealth them.

Really guys, it's not that hard to avoid.

So you're saying because you, one singular man, can be stealthy, that makes it not only feasible, but viable and easily done.

Anecdotal evidence is a logical fallacy, just so you know.

If he can do it, that proves it can be done. This isn't a generalization of a group of people based on one's own interactions with them. This is a feat, and if one person can perform a feat, then it proves more people can do it. Either that, or you're saying he's the greatest stealth Survivor in the world, past, present, and future, and thus only he can do it.

  • You're the second person to think I'm disagreeing with them out of some personal vendetta. Here's the cold, hard truth: I don't read the usernames of people who comment unless they complain that I'm targeting them. So no, I didn't "bash your ideas because of things you've said in other threads".
Fact is, I have no idea who you are outside this thread. I don't know what you've said or where you've said it, because I simply do not care. I judge ideas on their own merit, which is apparently something you don't do.
