People don't want DS to nerfed, they want it to be adjusted to be an actual anti-tunnel perk. Things like working on a generator, or unhooking someone else should deplete the timer to zero.
Indeed.

Well, all I can say is it’s called adrenaline. Just like in real life, you get an extra energy boost with adrenaline. Even if you’re exhausted, adrenaline can rush in and push you to do more than you thought possible.
As someone who was chased by bees while riding a bike, I can confirm adrenaline ignores exhaustion.

I don't have notifications enabled, so @ing me won't do anything, just FYI.
I don't know of any bug, but then I haven't gone up against the Hillbilly that often (maybe two in the last month?), nor do I play him at all.
You should try to describe the possible bug a little so people can confirm if they've seen it or not.

In regards to "deny" I was referring to your post in a thread that said:
"yes, it is technically possible this is a heretofore unseen bug, I don't think it's worth considering"
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1394651/#Comment_1394651
That was about 14 hours before Tru3 experienced it. I know you guys cant believe everyone, thats a given, my point is how no one is really believed, including myself./
Indeed, it wasn't worth considering because of how common false claims of innocence are. Then evidence was actually shown, so I took that into account and reached a new conclusion. This is how people are supposed to behave when presented with new evidence.
-
@DrDeepwound said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1399085#Comment_1399085
Hence my point, despite KNOWING it has affected innocent people, people like you don't believe us anyway.
To you, I did something wrong, I am to blame, maybe I am a cheater or a hacker! But naaah couldn;t be a bug that needs addressing, it much easier to portray the victim as a liar.
With how often people who receive warnings and bans claim to be innocent? Yes, it's absolutely much more likely that you're a cheater or a hacker than an actually innocent person. These systems have a very small percentage of false positives (or else they'd be completely useless).

well that forum is filled with people complaining about "DC penalty" considering you denied the problem existed 2 days agop, then admitted it after Tru3 proved it, glad you have the proof now.
I said that everyone I saw complaining about the issue later admitted to DCing a lot more than they'd initially claimed, which is true.
I didn't "deny" or "admit" anything. I saw no proof for the issue, so I said I'd seen no proof for the issue. Then I saw proof, so I said I saw proof.
I'm also glad we have proof now so the devs can work on fixing it.

Its obvious you dont read this much https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/DPP_RankUpdateError
People hardly ever get repies and are left wondering what they even did.
Indeed, I don't. On the other hand, the issue described there is nothing compared to the issue that arose, which is that some people were somehow able to increase someone else's DC penalty at will.

expecting regular players to record every game in case an error occurs puts a level of evidence on users that is not exactly viable.
In my instance, I had a screenshot showing I was logged on, but got a DC penalty, so how would I disconnect and still be logged in the game? But yeah everyone without a video is lying
It's not that everyone without a video is lying, it's that the devs shouldn't auto-disable a key feature to prevent abuse just because someone says it's not working properly. The very idea is rife for abuse.

Can't I just report it as an issue? I hope those are recorded in game logs.
Sure, you can report it as an issue, but I doubt they'll have it fixed before the event is over. I really recommend just getting the crown again. Try to farm, that usually gets survivors to rush gens.

Wrong. They got rid of it because people were using bots to spam certain users with thousands of downvotes overnight.

Aside from playing it again and try to unlock it, any other way? I don't like playing as a killer because I'm not fond of chasing people(I'm just a casual player) and queuing time is very long.
There is no way to unlock crowns except by playing that character.

You can use a depleted key to open the hatch, yes. Broken keys cannot open the hatch, though.

Main volume: 4-6% (plus headset already set to 50%).
Menu music: 0%
I already have a sound sensitive headset. I hate the opening trailer is at 100% and I skip it all the time. Sometimes, I tab out too long and I have to take my headset off for how ludicrously loud it starts (never personally owned dual monitor). Game play is mostly fine minus the slug music. It's so obnoxious. I wish it was more subtle like the injured music.
Game play sounds:
- Free iron will when playing survivor. I don't know if the killer can or can't hear me at that point.
- No sound when falling from large heights when using iron will. Isn't that supposed to exclusively balanced landing?
- Not hearing foot steps or heavy breathing survivors when running.
Those are probably my top 3 sound bugs that I experience more often than others.
Sounds like your issue is just that the main volume is too low. A friend of mine who's an expert in sound said that you should always leave the in-game sounds maxed and then adjust your OS's settings.

The game might still have maaaaanyyy bugs etc. but if we take a look at the old DbD, noone would ever want to go back.
The devs improved (and still do) so many things and we still get and still will always get new content. And with the release of crossplay, the long quoe times will also most likeley be over.
I doubt that last part, about the queues, but we'll see.

If you want to solve camping, you need to do two things:
- Make it more rewarding for the killer not to camp than it is for the killer to camp, keeping in mind that survivors rewarding camping by not working on gens is what makes it worthwhile for the killer.
- Keep the pressure on survivors to unhook.
-
@Munqaxus said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1397325#Comment_1397325
The problem with camping is you don't realize they are camping immediately. If you knew the second they hooked the first survivor, that they would face camp, then 3 survivors can make it out by doing gens. However, survivors have no way knowing that a killer is going to face camp until some time into the face camp. At that point, the killer is definitely going to get 2 survivors.
Kindred.

@JustCats said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1397289#Comment_1397289
That's a very good point, but I do think it's addressable - and needs to be anyway as a committed gen rush is already a giant problem in terms of overall game balance. Hook pressure is more of a bandaid than a solution, and just encourage the exact kind of killer play nobody really enjoys.
I personally think Hex: Ruin 1 should be the default generator state and a weaker Pop should just be base kit. If virtually every killer needs to run gen slowdown perks as a default that's probably a sign that gen slowdown mechanics ought to be a default.
You can't damage gens that are already regressing. That also wouldn't solve the issue, which was well summarized by @Nurgling7.
-
@supersonic853 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1397243#Comment_1397243
Dont have time realistically to do all 5 gens and all 5 totems when someones being camped.
But you can find NOED after rushing the gens. Then you just need to do one totem. Meanwhile, stealth keeps you alive, because the killer isn't going to open one of the gates.
-
@Nurgling7 said:
So, hooks provide no pressure to get people off gens since they can just wait a bit and the person will eventually be free to also get back on gens?
This is why the idea would fail. Another idea was to have the first sacrifice stage last indefinitely, which removed all pressure to unhook and forced the killer to roam. It was a ######### show, with survivors having zero incentive to unhook, and thus could rush gens without a care in the world.
-
@supersonic853 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1396914#Comment_1396914
Its sad though when you do genrush but by the time 5 gens get done 2 survivors are dead to camping and then like 90% of facecamping bubbas run noed so they get a easy 3k. Noed:just do totems.
Facecamping:just do gens.
A little stealth and some perk changes (for example, adding Small Game to your build) go a long way.

If Tru3 was playing off stream and said this happened to him on the forum people would call him a liar just the same. Just like if anyone with video evidence brought up this problem it would be taken seriously
Exactly. The key difference between this streamer and random forum users is not the streaming bit, it's the fact that one ponied up some evidence, the others did not (and even admitted to DCing a lot more than they'd first claimed).
-
I am also tired of campers. It's too bad survivors won't punish them by genrushing, even when I have Kindred and it blatantly shows the killer is camping.
-
@DrDeepwound said:

This is the problem. Using phrases like "Every person who came to the forums" was lying about how many times they disconnected, while seeing the video proof of Tru3s problem is exactly why I mentioned it.
So everyone else is lying, but Tru3 has vid so only he had the problem.
Its just an odd way to rationalize or think. We know there's a problem, we have vid proof of said problem, but everyone who made threads was lying. LOL
Every person who came to the forum (that I've seen) eventually admitted to disconnecting more often than first indicated, yes. This streamer has proof, so now the existence of an issue is confirmed. That doesn't mean every other person was innocent, especially when they themselves admitted they weren't.
-
@Cele said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1396649#Comment_1396649
This.
Boggles my mind. Bugs can happen to anyone but apparently everyone that's not a popular streamer must be lying
Streamers can provide objective video proof of their statements. Every person who came to the forum complaining about this was extremely hostile and admitted to having disconnected a lot more than they'd first let on. Finally, it's laughably common for people to say "I was punished for X, but I'm actually innocent, I swear!", so excuse us if we don't take those people at their word and need proof.

Then either she spawned there, as @MadArtillery said, or she found a way to glitch up there. I recommend filing a bug report.

Yes.

Based on the fact that she's next to a box, I'm going to guess what happened:
- She had a trap on her head.
- While interacting with the box, her model started floating upward.
- After she removed the trap, she dropped on the wall there.
