It means your skill is superior to their skill. They want you to play worse so they can win.
-
Why make a sequel when they can just keep working on this one and avoid paying more for all the licensed content?

For me as a 5k hrs veteran player since release I still find the "moderately, slightly" more confusing than numbers up to this day.
BHVR probably thinks that most gamers are dumb and never had math class in school lol
Just putting that out there: most people I've seen think that a 50% speed increase is the same as a 50% reduction in time spent.
If anyone is interested, the wiki has numbers. https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Dead_by_Daylight_Wiki

Well it might be that they want to keep the billy "discourse" over in the ptb feedback category but I wouldnt put it past the devs to see a couple mean comments and just shut down a whole thread of legit criticism.
I would because that's never happened.

Either someone copied all those "liberate" movements from the USA, in that they were all spawned by people with a vested interest in the concept, or it's just one of those things that pops up every now and then.

Okay, then from the start of the trial there should be a notification status that NOED is active so that survivors are aware to actively cleanse dull totems.
Again, that would make the perk completely worthless. Why would the perk even announce itself before it comes into play? No other Hex perk works like that.
-
@Honkerton said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1429772#Comment_1429772
That's the thing though, usually you find out there's NOED when it's too late and half the team is downed. Make it so it's a regular hex totem that starts out from the beginning of the trial rather than changing a single dull totem into a hex totem.
That would make the perk completely useless if it wasn't actually usable from the start of the trial.
-
@Honkerton said:

That may be so but it doesn't function as a hex totem, I should've clarified on that one. Editing original post.
It does, though. Once it's active you just cleanse the totem and get rid of it.

Alright, done. Since 2017.

Wow, fast replies!
I see, thanks for clearing it up! I was genuinely curious about this so I'm glad there were answers
Yeah, I agree, it was a crappy way for the match to end. I would've preferred it if the player had picked me up and let me wiggle free and gave me a chance to try and escape, since all they'd been doing was watching my Bill (who I'm currently playing as to level up) squirm and crawl around until the Entity killed me.
Unless they were genuinely curious about what would've happened if the timer ran out. I don't see how that's possible though, you can't play DBD and not know what happens at the end of the ECG timer. So it was probably just out of spite. Then again each time I was being chased before ECG, I successfully dropped a pallet on the killer without either or getting injured or obtaining a second hit (if I had already been injured). Maybe it was payback for the pallet drops then. Still, that's about all I got in terms of BP, besides one unhook, skill checks on gens and healing.
I would've preferred it if the player had picked me up and let me wiggle free and gave me a chance to try and escape
And the killer probably would've preferred it if you'd stopped trying to escape and let yourself be killed. This is a PvP game - never forget that.

Why not? It's extremely rare for survivors to actually die to the EGC.
-
I was the last survivor and was held hostage until I was sacrificed at the end of EGC.
That's not how it works. Holding the game hostage means the trial cannot end unless one or more people disconnect. Your trial was on a timer - the EGC itself. You were not held hostage and this, while annoying, doesn't break any rules.
I also have a few screenshots of the occurrence for the report I could make if this a legit rule break. If anyone would like to see them to get a look at what happened, I'm not opposed to that.
Reports have to be filed in-game, always. Additional info can be given in a support ticket, but an in-game report is always required.
-
Yeah, no. Due to the asymetrical nature of the game, even if survivors could only avoid two killers each, they'd be able to avoid well over a third of all killers as a whole. Just learn to play better and provide feedback to the devs.
-
It is mathematically impossible to get 30k BP while camping. If that happens, it's because your team fed the camper. Stop feeding campers, go rush gens.

It’s just people who get offended by people going up and down I rest my case.
That's not an answer. Does intent matter, yes or no?

If people get triggered by people going up and down. Then those people who complain about it really have a problem. The only time I do it is when a teammate was not helpful and or the killer did it first to me so therefore I call it a victory dance on my way out.
So is that a yes or a no? As a reminder, this was the question:
But isn't the intention/meaning important?

Ignoring them? Oh you mean putting them in the place dedicated for feedback that the team can easily read? My bad clearly we have different opinions of ignoring.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1428233#Comment_1428233
But, they literally put it in a place deviated to ptb feedback.

Please for the love of everything sacred in this awful world learn that there are other sections to the forums than just General Discussions.
So true. Commenters would rather get attention from other commenters by posting in General Discussions than try to make sure the devs actually read what they wrote by posting in the proper sections, and then they get mad at the mods for trying to make sure the devs actually read what they wrote.

My guess is there was something more than just "constructive criticism."
And asking for a refund on a live game that you've owned for 4 years or so is insane.
Your guess would be correct. I've yet to see a single "innocent thread" being closed for no reason.

Not only can this be easily bypassed by installing certain software on your PC, smartphones exist and have microphones as well. How will you monitor microphone usage if people are using their phones?

This is the same community that wanted removing noed, removing Oni flick, nerfing nurses base kit, nerfing hex:ruin saying that it used in every match(cough ds, bt, dh etc.) :9
So you agree it's a bad idea to listen to the tiny vocal minority of players who comment on the forum?

Comminity is not small and actually better than a balance team.
Well, the regular forum users are maybe a few hundred, whereas there are tens of thousands of players on Steam alone at any given time. So yes, the people who post here are a tiny vocal minority, and I highly doubt any of us are better than the people who literally do this for a living. That's the same logic that gets people to doubt doctors who (correctly) say you should vaccinate.

Just confusion but also a question why they haven't taken the oppurtiny to add prestige cosmetics on all the other cosmetics since a simple texture is working as we see now.
Maybe this is the test for that. After all, that's what the "T" in "PTB" stands for.

They already made 113 million dollar, they can do what we they want at this point. And they will obviously try to make it more and more casual friendly for survivors so they earn even more golden noses.
They already made 113 million dollar,
Source and an explanation for how that invalidates what I said? Money runs out, eventually.

Can I remind you that "THE DATA" was a reason that bhvr said "we are happy how Billy performs" and they still went out of their way to change him? You really think they evaluate feedback with data? They just do what they want. They don't care.
So you think BHVR, a capitalist company, is actively trying to push consumers away and drive themselves into bankruptcy?

These were always veeery minimal and 99% they never took feedback into consideration. Its just fixing bugs at best and maybe add a 1% buff on something.
If the feedback doesn't match the data, which do you think they'll take into account?

But a bug like that would be EXTREMELY noticable (as in 4 orbs instead of 2), and I haven't noticed that at all. In fact, if it was the case some areas could be like filled with the max amount of blood very easily.
I mean, I definitely notice that when injured survivors go work on gens. I always thought it was intentional, like the Plague's sickness speeding up when survivors were running, etc.
-
This happens to me sometimes because I'm trying to see where the survivor was hooked and end up getting distracted. It's especially bad with Madness skill checks.
-
Surge needs one of the following changes to be a "proper" perk:
- Applies the regression to every generator within its radius, even if that generator is already regressing.
- Applies the regression when a survivor is put into the dying stage, regardless of the method.
- An increased radius.
- An increased regression.
- No cooldown.
Any one of these things would make Surge a powerful slowdown perk. You could probably even combine a few of those, except the last one.
-
This is why we need to report every single one of those people until they get banned and leave the game. They make the game worse for everyone. However, you should never engage with them. They're not worth the effort.
-
Xenomorph has been recommended a lot, you know. It's just that we're currently having an influx of FNAF requests, for whatever reason.
-
Light from Death Note. I want to put that bastard on hooks. Also, it fits the lore of both the series and the game.
-
Stealth is not just hiding in a corner and hoping the killer doesn't see you. You're still learning about the game, you're going to find things you'd never seen before. As for this...
Let me put it this way, following your logic - You guys should always expect someone could sneak behind you and slap your head with baseball bat. You can duck, so you should be ducking all the time to prevent this from happening. And when i finally sneak behind you one day and hit you like that, you cant be mad at me, because you should expect i will do this, so it is your fault for not ducking this one time in the right moment.
This is what's known as "risk assessment". Here's an analogy: I don't expect to get into a car crash, but I always put on my seat belt and make sure everyone else has theirs on as well, because the minor inconvenience of having to put it on or having the people in the car be a little upset is worth it if the seat belt can potentially safeguard me from death (which it has, more than once, although I wasn't driving then).
So yes, unless you're impervious to baseball bats to the skull, you should absolutely be trying to dodge them because you know someone is actively hunting you to hit you with one. You should also cleanse totems if you're worried about NOED and get into lockers if you're worried about BBQ.

I’m not greeding pallets, I’m seeing a full stun animation and then getting hit. Besides, a stun should not allow a hit regardless. I started as killer and have branched out to survivor after maxing everyone our. Rank 1 in both but pallets are so hit or miss.
Sounds like latency. While it is possible that a stun happens at the same time as a hit, watching the full stun animation and then getting hit shouldn't be possible under normal circumstances.
