This time the survivors have guns!
-
Depends on how well they play.
If they're good then nope.
-
It isn't looked down upon as much as NOED but is definitely a low effort perk that warps most games for the killer.
Pretty much every game, I play around the possibility of survivors having DS.
-
Please stop playing dumb.
The point of the video is that its possible for potato survivors to complete most of the objective with barely any interactions with the killer.
You can extrapolate this game to killers who aren't as experience as true3 going against non-potato survivors
-
Just want longer games with more interaction between killers and survivors. The short times of games don't allow for any creativity on both sides and pigeonholes the killers to a particular meta and playing the same repetitive playstyles over and over again.
3/4 genning isn't fun for both sides either.
I don't think the current survivor playerbase would be able to handle longer gen times so perhaps they can get something in return as long as the average length of games increases.
-
GhostFace - Strong but simple killer
Trapper - really satisfying when a survivor runs into your trap. Especially toxic survivors.
Nurse (Still not the best with her but I'm still winning games). Requires a lot of patience but still fun if you put time into her.
I'd like to play more of myers and billy and that's pretty much it.
-
Adrenaline is fine
NOED's closest equivalent is DS.
-
If they make the killer need a lot of skill to play then I don't see a problem why they shouldn't.
-
Penalties for DCs should also solve the problem
-
God forbid you play against a killer who forces you to play well and loop differently. You're not losing to doctor because he's OP, you're losing because you want to play the exact same way for every killer. Scratch that you want every killer to be an M1 only dummy that you can just pallet camp and run.
-
I agree

Spirit, Billy, Nurse, and Freddy are widely agreed on having good gen pressure.
Oni and Legion are more debatable but I'd say they have good gen pressure too.
Every other killer has issues that keep them from having good gen pressure.
This pretty much
There are perks and addons for killers that can increase your speed quite a bit and allow you to pressure gens.
-
######### is this post?
-
Requires way too much patience to play her.
-
Just add penalties for DCing more than x number of times within a y number of time and that'll solve multiple issues.

Dead Hard is not the biggest issues killers need to deal with. Decisive and Adrenaline are much more game changing, and while DH is very good, it's not oppressive.
Adrenaline isn't that bad. It can be strong in some situations but overall don't it needs a nerf at all.
DS does need to be reworked. It's really the only perk that 'warps' a game similar to ruin.
It also is a free win for survivors if it activates during EGC. It can also literally encourage survivors to be let themselves be downed to waste more time for the killer.
Thematically as a 'horror' game its also stupid, imagine someone who's never played the game watching a killer being scared of someone running into a locker.
-
I mostly play killer and I don't think deadhard is that big of a deal. Anticipating a deadhard isn't difficult either.
On nurse, dead hard is a little annoying but that's pretty much it.
-
Balance
Matchmaking
Reduce RNG aspects of the game
Make more killers and survivors free
-
its a good perk that rewards killer for doing objective.
Also bubba is a fun killer.
-
Head on is fine. Calling for nerfs for every perk weakens the argument for perks that actually should be nerfed.
-
It's crutch perk rework both ds and NOED. Remove NOED for all I care.
-
I think they're fine, you can usually read if you'll get hit as a survivor or get a hit as a killer before it happens.
-
Can killers also get dead hard as a perk plz?
-
I've already commented on this but let survivors know killer has NOED (Eg: all totems lit up) either instantly or after one gen has been done.
They do totems and it can be a decent anti-genrush perk as their attention is diverted from gens.
If they still don't do totems knowing the killer has NOED then they deserved to get punished in endgame.
-
I want to play against more nurses especially since I want to play her as a killer and understand her counterplay but I rarely see her as a survivor.
I think devs went too far in nerfing her.
-
After the game ends, I'll watch the vod.
Seeing myself from the survivors prospective and how they react to my play is interesting.
-
bring Blood warden and mori for extra scare

Tired of getting DS'd? Here's an idea..."Stop Tunneling and Git Gud".
I mean hell, they might have all gotten away... But at least you got Brutal Killer and not Entity Displeased. You could have gotten 1 or 2 of them, but you got greedy and lost all 4. You took a risk, and you lost. Learn from it and move on.
(Perhaps after Steve escaped/you hooked the second survivor/downed the third, you should have left the third on the ground and chased down 4th. The one on the ground may have crawled out the exit, but you could have possibly prevented that last Survivor from unhooking the other. Either way, you take a risk. It's up to you to analyze the situation and decide the best course of action.
The killer played alright, now that you've seen the video you know what the best approach was so that irrelevant. Most importantly, he wasn't tunnelling
The survivors on the other hand didn't put any thought into escaping because of DS immunity and were rewarded for it.
DS shouldn't work during EGC imo.
-
nerf them so you have to actually do something difficult during a game to earn their use. Mori and Keys should be used when you're completely dominating in a game rather Plan Bs for bad killers and survivors.

DS is fine. Seriously, all this whining about DS is sad. In the last 8 matches, I have come across 17 DS survivors. I was hit with it one time at the end of the game. I've 4k'ed in 5 of the matches. 3k'ed in the other 3.
If you are getting swarmed with DS, maybe you should think about the tunneling. DS is all but an anti-tunnel perk. It is intended to annoy killers who tunnel. It is working as intended.
Look at the triple tunnel thread, how is this an anti-tunnel perk?

NOED is a trash tier perk. If it was as good survivor mains described it I would be running it crutch or not.
-
NOED is a trash killer perk if you want to actually win consistently
-
DS shouldn't be active during EGC. Literally nothing the killer above could've done, I don't understand how survivor mains can defend this aspect of ds.
-
Don't use NOED as killer and it's annoying as survivor. Don't think it should be removed though.
-
Only problematic crutch perks for me are DS and NOED which should be reworked imo/

As a red rank survivor and killer, gens rarely get completed in any game I play on either side. Most of my escapes are hatch since the teammates I get paired with go down faster than a meth addict.
As killer, it's been days since gens were all completed. I don't even play the strong killers. Wraith, Legion, Doc. Most survivors drop like flies. Even Otz's recent video of gens popping left and right with toolboxes and coordination still resulted in a straight up 4k.
Learn to admit to yourself that you actually got outplayed once in a while instead of complaining about not having your ruin crutch to carry you against bad survivors. It's okay to lose from time to time.
Pack up everyone, debates over. This guy says he does really good as killer and not so good as survivor, our arguments has been destroyed.
-
He made mistakes but even then the chase weren't that long and even if he had ended it sooner, he would only have enough time to pressure one of the three gens which means two gens lost and there's also the possibility of the survivors hiding near a gen or If he finds a survivor at a gen he would have to get into another chase. He would be forced to either finish the next chase early or protect the third gen which is probably at 50%..This is also if he gets lucky and approaches a gen that's being done, he may go to a wrong gen and results would be similar.
Also Imagine he was trapper or hag.
-
These stats need to be in way more depth if you want to balance a game with them.
-
Survivors:David
Killers: GF, Nurse and Trapper
-
no
-
nah
-
They just salty, let them rant on then just say gg and leave.
-
DS during EGC can literally be a free win.
-
You don't have to instantly go to the other side of the map from a hooked player. Look around the area for any hiding survivors, use BBQ. Don't tunnel if it means going out your way to target someone for no reason but if they're playing stupid and you see them again feel free to go for them.
-
Nurse has debuff add-ons and she's the hardest killer in the game.
-
I made a thread about this but adding more bonuses for people who mix it up could help.
I know there already is a bonus but I think it should be way more substantial.
to be a good survivor you need to play killer and the other way around is also true
Barring people for playing how they like is stupid.
-
Don't mind flashlights at all as a killer main.

ragequitting.
the other issues are balancing problems that can be fixed, but rgequitting will probaply never stop.
DC penalities are a good start, yet they'll just lead to hook suicides.
the problem here is, that a ragequitter ruins the entire game for everyone he is playing with. the survivors lose a player early on and both sides miss out on tons of potential BPs and Emblem points (the killer more than survivors though).
its in the players heads, its extremely toxic behavior and it throws a bad light on those who DC due to legit reasons (no, facecamping / tunneling are NOT a valid reason! im talking about cheaters, exploiters, gamebreaking bugs, a legit connection loss, etc. - not a hurt ego.)
Can agree with that. A DC early game is usually gg.
-
usually 3k or more as killer
Getting no kills but still being a challenge for the survivors isn't that bad. As long as there's mutual respect for both side's skills.
