I don't get DS'd 3 times per game but I still have to play as if I might be.
-
if the game doesn't substantially change then nah.
-
I don't understand people who find playing as survivor difficult. With the game's speed, individually you're barely forced to 'loop' at all. You know the main skill curve of being a survivor. And what little looping there is nowadays, consisting of abusing the same strong loops, pallet camping etc. No real thought.
Currently, alot of survivor red ranks are just generator engineers.

Old ruin was a typical placebo effect and was just annoying for new players who couldnt do gens at all this way. Killers tend to rely on crutch, cause they refuse to accept that the powerrole isnt a nobrainer. Thats why it was used that much. There are just too many bad players.
Doesn't posting bait get boring?
-
Nah I can't find them. I just try to predict where they'll be.
If they're not too far then 3.8 chasing them until you see them more clearly can help.
But yeah it''s annoying.
I still think maps like hawkins and lery's are worse for her.

No, but knowing how to loop and mindgame the killer does.
Exactly! so lets increase gen times so survivors actually have to loop and mind game before the game is already half done.

Why did you play at rank 16 after 2-3 k hours in the game? It doesn't add up
Rank reset + Not playing regularly?

Increase his speed and he becomes viable.
-
For me
1) GF
2) Spirit
3) Nurse on a good day
-
So you don't want killers to maximize their chance of a 4k if they play really good and just depend on RNG and hope they find hatch first.
Hatches are already survivors crutches, you and your team have effectively lost and doing gens at this point is impossible so the game is being nice and allowing you one last chance of escaping. Get slugged before that? tough.
I already think they're not killer sided enough since a survivor can earn some escapes by doing no gens, hiding in a locker and being lucky to have hatch spawn near them.
So yes, If a killer is playing better than you and completely dominates you while you play like a potato then you're don't deserve to get an escape.
-
I agree remove survivors completely. replace them with bots or have this game be killer vs killer.
-
How about this, if you want a killer to be nerfed link a video of you playing against said killer and we'll see if your opinions are valid.

but your name

I just think there already was decent save potential with flashlights and body blocks. Hook saves were really rare for me as a killer but now it seems they're going to become more common.
I already know there are counters to it but why add another thing I have to play around. I'm already playing around DS, unbreakable, flashlight saves whilst also managing gens.
But I will say hangman is looking like a very strong information perk as well as a counter to hook sabo so if that doesn't get nerfed then I think it could be alright.
Again still PTB so don't know how it'll all turn out.
-
I don't think so. They probably have a hundred ideas for killer ability. We've seen crazy ideas floated about on here.
The problem comes with balancing. You can make a unique ability and have no idea how to balance them.
Or you can make slight alterations to abilities that some killers already sort of have.
Until the game's balance has improved I wouldn't expected any unique killers.
-
Anyone ever had chase music come on as a killer and not know where the survivor is?

I miss the days when Nurse was relevant.
Sure, the game was crappy for lower tier killers. But at the end of the day, you could always bring out old Sally and put the smack-down on survivors.
Good times, good times.
She still wipes the floor with survivors on people that are good with her.
Just think they need to fix her bugs and tone down the charge times
-
As much as I would like that as a killer. An entire gen added is a bit too much I think. Survivors would probably leave the game.
-
My opinion is that there is a huge discrepancy in the skill and thought needed to play killer compared to survivors.
This should be true to some extent after all you're putting your brain against 4 other brains and your role is what makes the entire match.
but its stupid how far you can get with no looping skills, no knowledge of map and barely any awareness of the killer perks and abilities etc as a survivor.
Edit: no idea why I voted killer sided on poll.
-
Needs more buffs tbh
-
Nice bait
-
Plague is fine
-
It will encourage tunneling especially in new killers. Taking someone out of the game is valuable as a killer.
-
Yeah i didn't notice my traps getting sabo'd that often tbh.
Only thing left I want for trapper is starting with atleast +1 trap as his base kit and being able to walk over your traps.
-
Doesn't sound too bad for survivors. If breaking a wall is like breaking a pallet then survivors will have enough time to run away.
Breaking probably primarily will be used for weakening strong annoying loops and forcing the survivors to move to another loop rather than ending loop chases.
I don't think breaking walls will be like nurse's blinks/ used to end loop chases and down survivors quickly.
If you're in a chase and decide to break a wall you're risking losing the survivor and the loop may still be usable and atleast have a pallet.
-
Go to basement
Alt tab
-
Nah you did nothing wrong.
-
The Juicer
-
Just let them hook you and move on to the next game ????
Eitherway I seriously doubt there's been an increase in killers camping/tunnelling you.
Just another serial dcer whining.
-
I think its fine.
Maps should present different challenges to killers and survivors.
-
No real point of smurfing since you're going against red ranks either way but I sort of understand smurfing if you want to try a new killer.
-
Depends on the difficulty of the killers you want to play.
If its a hard killer like nurse or weak killer like clown then I would recommend focusing on maining them instead of playing them between killers otherwise you'll get clowned on by good survivors.
Killesr like GF, Myers, spirit etc I find you can play inbetween other killers
-
What about nurse mains
-
killing a survivor is toxic. ######### let them go, they just wanna leave. What have they done to you, toxic killers.
-
@Oicimau said:
Toxic players will aways feel offended.
Healthy players know that its a game and sometimes you can get frustated and accept it.
I'll at least get a minimum of two toxic players a day playing this game.
Either post-game or during the game.

I'm not sure what this is in response to. We have no said anything about nerfing the clown, and I don't think anyone else has in a very long time.
Right....sure
-
Nah penalizing that is going too far imo.

@LadyRahl said:
Before I say anything I'm saying that I play both sides of this game amd I enjoy both sides. I'm not being some whiney survivor main when I say this.
A mori should only be able to be used in my opinion after the second hook. To mori after first hook is a shameful thing I feel for the killer to do. It's the sign of an insecure and unskilled killer desperate to get a 4k at any cost who is afraid of a longer game.
Plus, one has to consider that you get less points as killer and lessen your chances of pipping when you do this. It makes no sense to me as a killer why anyone does this outside of desperation to meet their definition of winning. As a killer I have never used a mori, I see no point in it. I would rather play the game and have fun, and have the survivors I'm playing with enjoy it as well. I'm not going to farm mind you, my goal is points and to get the most points I need to kill them but i dont tunnel or camp or one hook mori to do it.
To many killers use it to shorten the game to get their win. Survivors do not have an option to shorten the game. Even if a key is brought they have to complete enough gens to get the hatch to spawn. So either all the gens need to be done or your entire team has to die.
Last night I played against a rank 2, one hook mori killer and found it shameful, not to mention insulting after I had to wait 20 minutes for a match.
Stop making excuses. Don't blame swf, ruin, keys, what have you. The new Ruin is far better than the old one of you understand how it works. Learn to really play killer. Remember it's a game and have fun. If you relax and just enjoy it you'll find you do a lot better ranking up than you did before.
Peace out.
Get rid of keys and Mori's and we fine.
or rework them both
Also no old ruin is still better than new ruin. new ruin is arguably better for killers who never really needed old ruin. Eg: billy
-
I agree NOED is a baby perk but I don't think it should be reworked on until DS is reworked aswell.
-
DC penalties are 100% good. There's no real reason to DC aside from glitches with the EGC glitch being an example. But people are exaggerating by acting like that glitch happens all the time.
And no even if the killer is difficult and is using annoying add-ons you shouldn't DC.
-
whatever you picked, it'd be helpful if you included your reasons.

how would this give them more second chances? if you're tunneling you're literally asking to get DSed, you know at least one person in the match has it . if you choose to tunnel it's your fault for getting stunned , this change would however prevent them from making stupid plays with it like unhooking in your face only for you to grab them and get DSed.
Tunnelling is when you purposely go for the survivor. Not every case of the killer meeting a hooked survivor again is tunnelling.
Your idea allows the survivor to not touch a gen, go straight up to a killer and T-bag him multiple times. Take hits for other survivors etc
Or perhaps I purposely leave a survivor and I happen to find him again. We're supposed to perpetually turn the other way now?
Every unhooked survivor would purposely not do gen and go straight to the killer to make full use of their perk.
-
There are not dozens of iri head hunteress's or anything like that. You're going to have annoying games as survivor, just play through it and move on. Just don't struggle on hook and go to the next game.
-
Your problem isn't insidious, its camping bubbas
-
Pressure killer by doing gens
-
Why are so many people posting threads against the DC penalties? They're good both as a killer and a survivor
-
Go for it
If you're a killer who won, don't listen to survivors post game unless they're actually giving you tips. If they're adding another 10 rules to the killer rulebook then just ignore them.
-
A lot of 4ks are from super altruism stupidity.
-
Instead of a bonus, can killers get all the BP the survivors would have earned if they hadn't dced?

I agree
We all see players in roles that are amazing
Examples:
Survivors who can loop for days, 360 and escape the killer...nail great skill checks, dodge hatchets constantly
Sniper huntresses...killer billies etc...
The answer is to work hard at those skills and roles until you get great at them.
The answer is NOT to want to change the game to make up for an under-developed skill.
Essentially you're saying git gud baby killers
I agree in general that skill/experience with the game has a lot to do with the complaining on here.
but you can't keep saying this every time anyone dares to complain about the game's balance.
