If your argument for one perk is bringing up another perk, then you have zero argument. Which, I think is pretty obvious.

NOED isn't really a problem unless the killer manages to hook someone on the totem. You can find the totem, destroy it, and BT out the camped person. Worst case scenario you lose one person and 3 escape if you let them/they kill themselves. I don't see how being down an entire perk the whole game until the end is a big deal.

I'm not making an argument because this topic is brought up everyday. You'll probably find another NOED thread within the hour.

Anyway you seem to agree with me NOED isn't an issue.

  • T3 myers for me atleast.

I find oni worse only if you're completely out in the open/out-positioned.

you can be technically out-positioned in a loop but avoid going down with tight angles against an oni. He has also has that slight pause and that animation he does when he hits an obstacle.

  • If he's really good then it usually turns into a guessing game but the average PH is usually fine to deal with.

  • The only reason this game is relevant and has a following is the high skill cap that's based mostly on looping and also a few other things aswell.

Similar games that focus on horror and immersion usually die quickly or get relegated to party games you play once or twice with your friends.

Ever since crossplay has been added to dead by daylight the game has gotten so incredibly un-fun. I haven't been able to play a single game without getting bullied and getting zero kills because I'm going up against a four man swf on comp. I play console and matches were fine before this. And it would be a different story if you could turn it off and on but the option to do this doesn't work! So I'm stuck getting legacy survivors that have 10,000 hours in the game and do five gens in less than 3 minuets. Please remove the computer side of crossplay as it makes games for console players unwinnable and makes the game unbalanced.

You can opt of cross-play? It doesn't work for you?

Honest question is there a ######### point to giving suriviors perks that Directing impact and Control the game while Forcing the killers to react to Purely mistakes of the suriviors?

honestly, this sounds to me like they dont give two ######### shits about the game with you give DS DH BT UB AD SB LITHE.

and what does the killer get for perks? pop? something that is only allowed to be used if the surivior makes a mistake and you made the right call?

dead hard is a perk that your allowed to use weither or not the killer makes a mistake or not. so why isnt pop just you can pop a gen and you have to wait 40 seconds seems fair to me. or better yet make it where if you pop gen as a surivior then you get one min to use dead hard befor its no longer up. seems fair to me. i dont understand the need to have the killer be so weak objectively morally and factually.

its a Proven recorded fact suriviors live more then killers kill THIS IS A PROBLEM its not a horror game if your allowed to live when ever you want.

you wanna stop the dying player base from losing more players? stop avoiding what people have to say and start ######### thinking with your brain cells instead of thinking with your wallet.

yea im speaking too you mat quebecois.

You have an ability that you can use whenever you want. survivors do not.

  • SWF on comms would make the whole disguise aspect mostly irrelevant.

It would just literally be wraith except worse since I assume you'd be running at survivor speed in that form.

I'm just saying it would need more than that to be viable.

One pretty cool aspect is that it would be one of first killers to be able to use 3rd person view.

  • What killers are you playing though?

  • Just think they should address her bugs first. There are a bunch of deadzones in the new PH map for example.

  • only If you're okay with losing a decent number of games.

  • Think people are being overly pedantic about this. Yes some killers are uncounterable in theory. If you had an super- AI play a nurse then it would be gg but you as a survivor can still make actions that make it so that the killer has to be perfect in order to get you and for average and even alot of good killers that is enough to be called a counter. Going around LoS with a nurse player will increase their chance of making errors as opposed to not doing so. If they try to go around you can run perpendicular away from the wall as most will expect you to just go around. They still have the potential to make perfect moves but who cares?

This isn't even uncommon in any pvp game where you have diverse characters/classes or whatever. There's going to be a specific playstyle that is in theory unbeatable if played perfectly but if balanced with difficulty like with nurse they're usually not an issue in practice.

I would also add that this game isn't only a 1v1 its a 1v4 so again, I don't see the problem if chases aren't a 50/50 input battle.

  • 300 hours isn't that much tbh. You could try practicing 1v1 loops with a friend.

  • For me it feels like I've been robbed of grabs more times than I've gotten grabs.

  • He's perfectly balanced as he is.

  • Dead hard but for killers

  • Only a problem against SWFs who coordinate each others perks including DS.

For solo's I honestly think slugging is enough. Even if you don't slug I still think it's managable especially with good info perks so you can move on quickly to other non-hooked survivors.

    Just my opinon though.

  • Slugging for a 4k is a little lame but slugging when gens are going quick despite short chases is what you should do.

  • Deadhard is actually there when you need it whereas most sprint bursts you do are usually unnecessary.

  • Deathslinger is a low tier killer for me. Don't see how anyone could call him OP.

  • Don't think OoO is whats making SWFs hard to go against tbh. Its just the icing on the cake.

  • Well I do use it during loops but I mostly use it to sneak up on survivors doing gens to get a hit in or a grab if the dedicated servers let me.

I barely used stalk at all before but now I'm using it more. You just have to be more smart when you decided to stalk.

  • Good, all loops should have counterplay and god loops didn't have any. (Against people who know how to play the game)

You guys already have long loops where the survivor can see the killer! At least with those you can make the pallet drop quickly and just break it

And no moving on to another survivor is not a counterplay

Can't wait to read more survivor mains pretending to be rank 1 killers who can destroy people at god loops. 😂

  • Gen speeds are for sure a problem.

devs need to first fix matchmaking so good survivors are paired up with other good survivors. That way we we can find out how balanced the game actually is.

The bad matchmaking is whats making the state of the game unclear.

  • Sort of but only a few games.

It's not a matter of getting good either, watch any streamer who's really good play this game and they'll also be complaining about the same stuff.

  • Against an aware team or a SWF with comms you're still just an m1 killer.

  • Oh ffs, tunneling is not chasing you off the gens in any circumstance. what are you expecting killler to do when he finds you exactly? Oh sorry I'll let continue doing that gen!

  • Her main problem is that her power is inconsistent and thats due to a lot of different reasons Eg: Dedicated servers, Bugs, deadzones. Thats her main problem rn, she just doesn't play smoothly at all.

The cd should be reduced and regen slightly whist charging.

I'm also getting tired of people pulling out the skill card any time you want to talk about buffing a killer.

  • BBQ is a good perk. I've seen people says it overrated but I disagree. It can be inconsistent but the info it gives can be a complete game changer.

  • Wraith with correct add-ons and perks has alot more potential and depth imo.

Trapper is also a set-up killer which is also quite bad.

  • @OtakuBurrito said:

Gen rushing is not real because it is literally the only primary objective that survivors have to do in order to escape. DBD needs to implement a mix of totems, gens, and killer interaction with a thrill bar in order for survivors to escape that changes each match.

I'm a hard core survivor main and I feel this is the only way to stop games going so fast. Because I know I can choose to dick around with a killer but when ######### starts getting real just "gen rush" him and leave or die on hook.

    Give survivors more objectives.

You can say the same for tunneling though no?

My objective is only to kill off the survivors and if I do it quicker then better.

But yeah I agree with the rest of what you said.

  • I have no idea how to fix it but perhaps they could extend the time that a survivor is grabable to like half or even less than a second after they let go.

  • I agree, don't know why people are complaining here. It wouldn't change the game radically for anyone who's familiar with killer's hex perks and would add a little tension.

Don't know how this devolved into killer vs survivor discussion.

  • cooldown/recharge for her blinks to be reduced.

    Her bugs to fixed

The issue of blinking deadzones or obstacles that require longer blink charges than they really should.

dedicated servers and auto aim are also problematic for her but we won't get any solutions for those two any time soon.

Statistically in terms of killrates and number of people playing, she isn't doing that well from what I've seen. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

They just need to make playing her feel more smooth I guess is the best way to put it.

  • I think Oni is already balanced killer.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Its too hard to run the map to go on one of the free gens? Sorry, but thats basic gameplay a survivor should be able to do.

Wow even this guy disagrees with you

  • NOED isn't strong when you're playing one perk down for 90% of the game for a chance of 10% of speed and instadown when the survivors are a hair away from escaping.

It's really not as strong as people think. Most 4ks with it are due to ultra-altruistic survivors.

20 seconds is literally nothing and I would rather run a Perk that would actually do something like Corrupt.

You remove 20 seconds and it will continue to go down more than just 20 seconds as if you're smart you'll patrol that area or be in a chase nearby (usually from the survivors you found at the gen)

Sometimes for two red ranks one will get in a chase with you and the other will return to popped gen and continue. If you're good then you can down the survivor quickly and maybe even get another pop in.

The perk is nothing only if you don't pair it with good gen pressure.

The way you're describing it is as if you're just kicking a gen with pop then never going back to that gen for the rest of the game.

  • What are the stats for red/purple rank SWFs?

  • they are working on it I think

  • You just described the whole point of Oni, he can easily snowball.

He isn't that maneuverable , I play survivor much less but you can reliably dodge him so many times.

If you're out in the open then you would be right but on most maps that isn't a problem.

Denying an oni an early hit is also important.

To me things that need nerfs have no reliable counter-play. I don't think this is the case for Oni. I actually think he's one of the more balance killers in the game.

  • The guy is a genius clearly.

Seriously tho, why t-bag at gates. I'm not buying your "byee" story.

When I hit that survivors 3 times while he was on hook It was really a pat on the back and a good luck with your next game kinda thing.

  • Yes but you're going to encounter toxic people in this game. I would say more so then most other game tbh so I would get used to it.

Also hitting a survivor while hooked isn't the equivalent of T-bagging tbh. It just shows them you're salty usually.

Best move is just to ignore them.

  • Expand on totems,

I would like the killer to be able to restore totems after clearing semi difficult conditions.

That way it's sort of a tug of war type situation, instead of something you randomly lose and can't rely on. I think it would still be balanced since the killer would have to put time in fulfilling whatever conditions are needed to restore the hex, taking time off gens. Then the restored hex would spawn in a different location.

Make hexs more interesting and make them all token based including NOED.

  • She's not highest priority since technically she's still high tier but I think nurse should be worked on. Her bugs and reducing her cool downs. She's simply not fun to play as and barely anyone plays her atm. Also, I'm fairly sure the stats showed she has one of the lowest killrates across the playerbase (correct me if I'm wrong).

Playing as survivor, I will see more clowns and legions then I will nurse.

  • Nurse, although I haven't played her in a while so now I'm bad at her again.

My best games against people who actually know how to play survivor were with her.

  • I've played GF and the reveal mechanic is broken on both ends imo. He's still an m1 killer tho and keep in mind stalking slows him down. Sometimes survivors will get so invested in revealing me that they make stupid plays.

  • Was he expecting you to see him on a gen and be like "sorry i thought you were a different survivor continue with what you're doing!"

This is why I'm skeptical any time survivors talk about tunneling.

Camping is more blatant and obvious but they're starting to muddy that term with "proxy camping" and the killer not being on the other side of the map during an unhook.

  • entity bar?
