It's something people want, but is inaccessible to many because they're so expensive. They'd probably make more money by lowering the per unit price and dramatically increasing the volume sold, but that's a longer term play, and companies these days can only see as far the current quarter's profit.
There's a lot of people on the internet that admit to buying video games and cosmetics instead of food and other bills. I think the desire of expression is strong and companies know this.
-
If you think they are overpriced don't buy them. Unfortunately most people don't agree with this logic which is why online games nowadays have these kind of prices. It just works very well.
-
Kindred for survivor.
Noed for killer
-
I tried a few games with it. The only time i got value out of it when was i was within a survivor being sacrificed so i can see the killers aura. This is probably a bug though.
The problem is this perk is just outclassed by Bond. has a wider range and shows you exactly where the team mates are, and it can't be prevented by killer being undetectable.
-
I can't remember why but i think they said they don't want to do a DBD 2 and would rather just keep adding to the first one for as long as people keep wanting more DBD.
Personally i don't think it's a good idea. Just look at Overwatch 2. Extremely popular from 2016-2018 and then it started slowing down with the content, eventually coming to a halt to say the following year they are going to make a sequel to this live service game that they have no idea when it will be out. Fast foward 2 years and they come out apologising for the lack of content and say they are going to release basically half the game and then start releasing the start of the other half next year. Whether their plan to revive overwatch will work remains to be seen.
Knowing this i don't think a DBD 2 would be a good idea. If they stopped content for years, i think people would get bored of the game quickly. It's a miracle DBD is even as popular as it is so i think it's better if they just kept with the game we have now and not push luck.
-
Yes. Dying all the time as survivor is not fun because then there is no tension on whether not you will escape. Escaping all the time makes you feel like the killers are underpowered.
Killing all of the time makes you feel like you are killing insects. Not killing anything makes you feel like you have no control and there's no point of a game if your input doesn't matter.
-
Instead they release most of their stuff with safe numbers.
We should be grateful that BHVR does not constantly want to release OP stuff all the time for money. yes it would shake up the meta but the game would eventually spiral out of control.

Isn't it 0.08m/s, since that would be 2% of 4.00m/s (the running speed of survivors)?
But I would still agree that the amount is so low that it helps in like 1% of matches for like one miss on a vault.
Yeah you're right. For some reason i was thinking half of 1% 😫
But yeah i still don't think it's valuable at all.
You would need to run 12.5 seconds to even get 1 meter of extra distance.

Yeah no, now its sonar, it lights up and even shows you the distance the killer is to you. I was excited to play my main Ghost Face but now I am stuck still playing huntress until they "nerf" it again.
It's a visual Terror radius indicator. It doesn't work against undetectable.
-
Number perk changes are possible to be reverted if the data and feedback is extremely negative.
Pharmacy and Calm spirit are unlikely to be reverted because it probably took a little while to code that they don't want to go to waste. It's why Hillbilly probably still has overheat despite negative feedback and data to suggest lower than expected pickrate and low kill rate.

Dark theory is one of my favourite perks in the game, think of it this way:
Think of any scenario where you just barely didn't make a pallet or window, with dark theory you would of made it.
Dark theory increases movement speed by 0.02m/s.
Those scenarios are non-existent to ultra rare
-
Never. It just feels wrong to.
-
I play like that too. The risk of getting sacrificed is never worth it because you lose like 7k survival bp and grade progress. Even worse you risk giving the killer more kills.

Distortion and its infinite token potential coming in clutch yet again. Crazy.
The buff to it is amazing. Distortion before could get burned through really quickly by certain things but you can get tokens so easily. Even if you go against a wraith you can still get tokens whilst being chased.
-
Scratch marks. Pools of blood. Grunts of pain, disturbed crows, game sense. There's plenty of ways to find survivors without perks or add-ons.
-
It's probably input lag and screen tearing. If it's not running at a consistent frame rate, so it hovers around 80-90 then the input lag will not be consistent either. If you don't have VSync on then you might have screen tearing as well which is when the image appears choppy.
-
This is an old version of the add-on, you can't do this anymore.
Devs consider blocking the box so a survivor dies a strategy. It's why there was changes in 6.0.0
But this particular strategy was unchecked for nearly 4 years.
-
They just released a mid chapter with big killer buffs and big survivor nerfs. Killer queues are now longer than survivor queues and you are still calling them survivor sided?
-
I finished yesterday
-
Whenever their fix for it stops working i guess
-
You are probably not going to like to hear this but i recently was made aware of a way that survivors can confirm if a killer has blood warden before it activates.
If you have Distortion and you go into the exit area and a token is consumed, it means the killer has it.
-
Kindred. If there was any survivor perk i would consider essential it's this one. Luckily it's a general perk.
-
The devs actually want an average of 2.4 kills in a match which means 60%. They concluded this based on research that shows most killer players would be satisfied with that number.
-
Not a complete rework. Just an add-on pass and a power update. Like they did with the legion.

Look closely at the leaf in the problem. There are two things that make it distinct. Look closely.
I blame the resolution 😡
-
Why isn't the answer 27?
You would multiply the leaves and the caterpillar first, 5 x 3 is 15, the apple with a caterpillar is 12, so that makes 27 no?

45 -

There's a reason MedKits are still the best items in the game.
But frankies though

Fall Guys. Very nice game but unfortunately once you finish the season pass there's pretty much nothing else to do until the next season.

Hey me too : D
So hyped for Splatoon 3

It's likely not been addressed because MM is a very old killer with very old code, and also it would feel wrong to remove this ability from survivors because tombstone has no counterplay otherwise. I know tuft of hair and judith's tombstone takes a long time but tombstone piece and j.myers memorial can get you a kill at 4 or 5 gens consistently if you have the right build.
-
It's mostly been like that for me since the update dropped. Although i started collecting data 2 days ago and in that time i have 24 survivor games and 5 killers games, 4 of them as wraith and 1 as executioner.
My escape rate is 45% which i was very suprised by because honestly i thought it was less than 10%. My kill rate is 80%. Not a big sample size but it definitely change my perspective on playing survivor. I highly recommend that people try collecting data, it might make you feel better about the game. Or worse... but hey data is good for getting closer to the truth.
-
Wraith - Best Stealth killer. Stat boost add-ons whilst cloaked make him easy to play and very effective. Also his design is great.
Executioner - Anti-loop and Anti-Anti Tunnel + Moris
Legion - Fun to play, great music, great add-ons.
Doctor - Easy to find people. Good anti-loop when you have a discipline add-on. Madness effects are really fun, lots of build potential.
Clown - Fun M1 killer. Great cosmetics.
Honorable Mention would be Cannibal. I like that he can instadown survivors all the time because it makes the game more punishing for survivors, and i feel like the game is sometimes too forgiving.
-
Nah i think the bleed is something in the new tome lore but i haven't read it

Circle of Healing still exists within DBD and you think Franklin's or Rancor is better? Be serious
Circle of Healing is strong but not OP. It's heal speed bonus is not that good. 50% means a heal takes 10.33 instead of 16. Not that good. The self healing is good but generally healing is not so strong right now because of the hit cooldown reduction and the speed boost reduction. Also against mangled and hemmorage it's often not a good idea to heal at all.
-
No. I think she's been in the game for far too long that removing her would be unfair to her dedicated players. There's plenty of ways that she could be nerfed without having to be reworked or removed.
-
I personally don't think any survivor perks are OP.
But killer i honestly feel like there is a lot of OP perks.
In alphabetical order...
Deadlock - Allows for camping to be very viable.
Franklin's Demise - I feel like this perk can take way too much away from survivors. It's also more available due to the progression rework so if you prestige bubba and play a random killer and see survivors with items you can always put this perk on whenever you want. I think this perk is the biggest reason why items aren't used that much.
Hex : Devour Hope - Can win you games. Combine it with other hexes like plaything, haunted grounds, retribution, undying, the survivors could have a really hard time finding it before they are killed.
Hex : Noed. - This perk did not get much weaker lets be real.
Hex : Plaything + Hex : Pentimento - Plaything does a lot. It is very debilitating for solo queue on indoor maps. Can make tunnelling very easy. It's devastating on Pig. And the amount of hexes it spawns it can really get in the way of boon perks. Combine it with pentimento and you get very oppressive slowdown.
Infectious Fright - On some slugging capable killers there is just no escape against this perk. Only way to counter it is to use Calm Spirit but nobody wants to use that perk.
Jolt - On Midwich and Game this perk can be very oppressive now.
Make Your Choice - Rusty Shackles Mint Rag Hag.
No Way Out - No Way Out combined with DS and OTR deactivating during endgame means that endgame builds are very strong with no way out. This perk can usually guarantee you at least 1 kill.
Rancor - There's sometimes no escape against rancor. Used against undetectable killers and you have no warning.
STFBL - This perk on demogorgon is ridiculous.
Pain Resonance - Best slowdown perk currently.
-
I think some survivor perks got way overnerfed. Killers currently have a plethora of strong perks and there's some killers with some add-ons that are just unbeatable. All of this can be remedied however, and i think the game is currently in a better state than it was before.
-
Replacing coulrophobia with Septic Touch and Unnverving Precense with A Nurse's Calling could also be interesting but not as good.
-
I suppose it is possible.
Nothing in Wraith's base and tome lore can de confirm that he had a family of his own at some point. It could just be a part of his story that's not revealed yet.
It's a great theory and even if it's not true i actually hope it does happen because i think that would be a really cool connection and i'd love to see fan art of Wraith and Joey being father and son ❤
-
If you check the 6th anniversary blog, you can see that the estimate for custom game bots is winter 2022.
Also, in a recent tweet they announced they are pushing back Game factor... reflow. Or something like that. And the wiggle escape system to q1 2023, to prioritise custom game bots, and the mori rework which should be coming next mid chapter.
-
Outfits i would like to see:
FNAF 1 Foxy - The Hillbilly
Molten Freddy - The Dredge
-
Phantom Huntress.
-
As long as Prove Thyself stays the same Discordance should as well.
-
Robin is a main character just like Steve and Nancy. She is also fan favourite since Season 3. She probably has perk potential and definitely has cosmetic potential. She would also be the first Lesbian character in the game so that would be good.
-
By not killing any survivor you can lose out on bloodpoints and grade progress, your MMR also becomes more innaccurate which is not good considering it doesn't seem to work well anyways.
-
I really like trickster but i hate his power. Feels pointless and a bit silly.
-
I don't think it would ever be balanced. It'll either be too weak, onryo's condemn, or you'll have the ability to kill someone at 5 gens, tombstone piece.
-
I haven't gotten any bloodpoints at least :/

The whole center of the map is just a line of double vaults. It is horrific. Came out of my worst nightmares. In the MacMillan realm.
Suffocation Pit? I know the name but i can't remember map layouts at all :p

I am not sure I would call his single vault with a 30 second cooldown perk very strong or very impactful. It is just alright. I will run it with Bam Bam, I suppose, but less because it is powerful and more because I hate the Flesh Pits stage.
Very strong, relatively anyway, compared to survivor perks.
I think it's a great perk mainly because when it activates, it stays active until you use it, so you can use it in unpredictable ways.
Btw i have no idea what the Flesh Pits stage is.
