I agree. Jake is probably my favourite male survivor but his cosmetics feel kinda random. Like this one:
I just want some shorts for jake (he has none) some cool t-shirts and some common hairstyles and different colours.
-
Hawkins is the best map in DBD history. It was fun to play on and looked the best.
-
Hex : No One Escapes Death. It's a really underrated perk and i think that's probably because it takes a lot skill to get value out of.

iirc, i think Not_Queen commented back during all-kill's release that while it's not something they're currently working on, it's not a possibility that they're ruling out could happen at some point down the line.
The thing is, they would never have the time to add a map like this. Because they're too busy working on future maps for future chapters. The only way i ever see getting an all-kill map is if the chapter got a sequel but based on the lore of the chapter i don't think that's gonna happen.
-
I hope that the AA nerf is temporary to keep nurse from getting any stronger. Hopefully this has made them realise they need to nerf her but because they don't have enough time for it right now so they are just doing this temporarily.
I still think AA will be alright. Them removing the linger effect is not a deal breaker for me.
-
I don't want a new game mode... they can barely maintain the game mode we have now as it is.
-
Personally the matchmaking has felt extremely broken ever since 6.1.0.
I think it's because there is a lack of survivor players.
-
Default killer outfits are always the most popular because most people don't buy killer outfits. Because you can only see them in first person.

Then use Boon: Shadow Step.
You have options to deal with aura reading. Bite The Bullet doesn't need to do everything. Making both injured and the sound of healing completely silent is a strong effect as is.
Bite The Bullet doesn't need to do everything but i guess it's totally fine that meta perks like Off The Record and Circle of Healing can:)
If this is such a fine perk why is no one using it? "Because people don't want to try it/they are bad" is not acceptable answer
Sounds like to me everyone in this comment section is disagreeing for the sake of it.

@GoshJosh said:
Absolutely not. It would legitimately kill A Nurse’s Calling, which is already a niche and seldom seen perk. Run Distortion with it if you want to hide your aura too.
Before you say "Just use Distortion". A Nurse's calling reveals auras of survivors who are healing AND being healed. And in solo queue you have no way of knowing if a team mate has distortion.

@jesterkind said:
I dunno, man, Bite the Bullet is a pretty damn good perk so I'm not sure if it's wise to start buffing it necessarily.
Besides, it's countered by any other source of tracking too. You'll be revealed by any aura perk, you'll still trigger Killer Instinct, heck, I think you even still scream if you're facing Doctor or someone running Infectious Fright.
That's different. You know when your survivor screams and only powers can trigger killer instinct so you should always be able to predict them.
Using BTB and still getting found by the killer and not know if they have ANC is very frustrating.
The perk is barely used for a reason y'know. Before it was because iron will was way better and right now it's probably because it's not good on it's own anyways and Off The Record is still better than it.
-
The new sound effect they added for Distortion. It's very nice.
-
Because they need to always make 20 add-ons for killers so the bloodweb works as intended. coming up with 20 add-ons for certain killers is very hard because some powers just aren't very customisable.
-
Who said you couldn't play that way?
-
Yep whenever i do it's never alligned properly.
This likely won't be a problem when moris are reworked in the next mid-chapter though.
-
Open Handed doesn't work with :
- Situational Awarness/Better Together (never has)
- Dark Sense
- Inner Focus
- Wiretap on the PTB, was not acknowledged as a bug
-
Pig is exactly what she is in the movies. First, she sneaks up to the victims, then captures them, which is emulated through her crouch and ambush. Then, she makes them play a game, all the whilst just killing them in the process. It's perfect for Amanda Young.
-
People tunnel because it's easier than not tunnelling and it's more rewarding. It's not rocket science. It's human nature.
Some people will not tunnel because they care about their community reputation and the other people's experience but i have a hard time believing those people are genuinely happy and not just afraid of social pressure.
-
Wraith because i like stealth killers and wraith makes it very easy to be stealthy. I like that he is a basic killer outside of cloak because the game is easier that way and he can make use of many perks.
I'm also excited for The Mastermind because his power looks very fun to use and i like that he can slowdown survivors with the infection and also his add-ons look strong.
-
Since legion mid-chapter update i think they have been listening to feedback a lot more which is great.
-
Yep. Hopefully it's something they will revisit in the future, along with Resurgence and Solidarity.
At least Low Profile went from being on of the worst perks in the game to a pretty decent one.
Reactive Healing is probably the only perk in this DLC that i think is pointless, every other perk there is a reason to run them and there is synergy to be had. So 8/9 is very very good by DBD standards.

That would still be tunneling since an unhook occurred, not camping...
Being hit after an unhook and and instantly going down to just be put back on the hook is no different than just staying on the hook really.
-
Basekit BT stops the killer from hitting the unhook survivor immediately that's the camping part of BT that it prevents.

That would suck if it was true, i liked the new version
I mean i don't know. The new version doesn't even work properly right now. When you activate it, you need to be fully healed and then enter the injured state again. So it's not working as it was intended and i guess we'll never see now.
-
Nah it's being completely reverted. It will be it's old version but it wont have the endurance icon when you have it.
-
I think it's basically a lucky break that activates when you are the only survivor standing.
-
The collision box needed to be reduced. He could grab people through snow piles on ormond and he would slam into nothingness. I see it more of a polish than a nerf.
-
Yeah i'll buy the DLC. I was on the fence before but after the Dev update today i definitely will now.

Hyper focus is a powerful perk especially if you combined it with the one perk from the pig dlc that turns good skill checks into greats. I watched Ohmwrecker using that combo and got a Gen done in about 40 secs 35 secs if someone had Prove they self on the Gen as well and that's not with tool boxes
I'd like to see a clip of that.
Also hyper focus is pretty much ONLY a good perk if you combine it with stake out. The average player can't hit great skill checks consistently.

Hyperfocus and Wiretap are both great.
I'd rather bring Prove Thyself over Hyperfocus and Kindred instead of Wiretap.
They are pretty weak when you look at them relatively.
Wiretap in practicality is also not that good. It has the Deliverance Curse where killer kicks gen more often if you have it, and 14 meters is not that big of a range and it doesn't work with Open-Handed.
-
Huge buffs to all of Ada Wong's perks + Better Than New.
These perks are extremely undertuned, situational, and obsolete.
I am sick of survivor perks always being garbage.
Reassuarance is good yes, but it's just another band aid fix to an issue that makes you unimaginably angry when playing survivor.
Hyperfocus is not particularly useful, it's just fun. That's okay. But Low Profile and Reactive Healing are very weak because there effects are so weak and unnoticeable.
-
Personally i've gotten to the point where playing the game feels pointless. I've already completed the rift, it was made way too easy this time because they did double xp for a long time.
I do want to p9 all the characters for the charms but it would take a very long time especially because there's no bp incentive right now.
I have plenty of archive challenges to do, but i just hate doing them. It's extremely frustrating, 90% of them are horribly designed. Most of the lore is not interesting at all.
Survivor feels extremely unfair right now. It's easy to know how a match is going to go early on. Like if it's nurse on midwich there's no point of playing the match. The attitude of many survivor players is also unbelievable. Last match i played, a survivor got pulled out of the locker by tier 1 myers at the start of the match, so they kill themselves on unhook. Extremely frustrating. Also i am fed up of how new survivor DLC perks are always such garbage. Absolutely no one is going to use reactive healing and low profile, extremely, extremely undertuned perks.
Killer is easy aswell if you pick a killer you are comfortable with, and make a strong build. You can try to learn new killers, but that isn't fun. You'll just get bullied and if the killer is bad then there is no point of learning them because you won't get anything out of it.
This game has so many problems. The only way to have fun with it is to look the other way and not take it so seriously.
-
I'm not entirely sure. From what i can tell his power is kind of like trickster where it's useless in some loops but if he catches you out in the open he's gonna beat you to death.
HOWEVER, unlike trickster, he is 4.6m/s and he has a lot of impactful add-ons. Him being 4.6m/s means he shouldn't struggle so much in loops.
His terror radius means that terror radius perk will be great on him. Use Sloppy, Distressing, Coulrophobia, those survivors are going to have a very difficult time healing. I think this is a great thing because terror radius perks have always been underused.

5.3.0
Post uncloak speed duration reduced to 1 second from 1.25
All Seeing - Blood range reduced from 12 to 8 meters.

if you cap your fps properly, use nvidia fast sync or g sync that is not a problem. The benefits you get are so worth it
I tried fast sync on other games and i didn't like it because it caused stuttering, because it drops frames that are below or higher than your refresh rate IIRC. G-Sync you need a monitor that supports it. I just don't think it's the best option for everyone is all.

You can just cap the FPS to your screen refresh rate, I don't remember how I did for DBD but it took me less than 2 minutes. The "rendering too many frames you cannot see" is a literal myth, I can only assume you have never tried high-refresh rate screens if you really believe this (or maybe you're 50+ year old). The difference is so obvious that I can tell you in 1 second if I'm on a sub-120 Hz screen just by moving the mouse cursor. Above 120 Hz the difference becomes marginal but you can still observe a minor effect it by doing online reaction tests.
And yes OP is right, turning off Vsync is one of the first critical steps you should do in every new game you install.
If you uncap your fps on a 60hz monitor you won't see anything past 60fps. The input lag will be less but if you don't cap the fps at all it will be inconsistent. There will also be screen tearing that you will need to deal with in some way and most ways come with a drawback especially if you don't have a monitor that supports certain technologies. DBD is locked to 60fps because it doesn't support past 60fps, according to technical support.

The vast majority of people that complain about nurse are casual survivors that don't enjoy playing against a killer that practically has no counterplay.
Casual killers can have fun with the actual easy killers like Wraith, Legion, Clown, Doctor, Nemesis etc.

This game does not need any more easy killers. Most of the are already extremely easy regardless of their skill ceiling and even then very few have a high skill ceiling.
I respectfully disagree. Clown and Wraith are basically the only killers that DONT get penalised heavily for using their power incorrectly. Every other killer the power feels frustrating because you can use it wrong.

@Deathstroke said:
Never see any Onis so this should not be fixed but be basekit and he needs other buffs too.
Bruh. You can get oni's power right now from like 1 chase. It's so easy to get his power and if the oni still loses then that player is not good with oni's power.

He got buffed though?
He got nerfed after his buffs in 5.3.0.
-
If they nerf Wraith before Blight, Nurse, Artist, Executioner, that'll be ######### stupid. Data suggests he has a very average kill rate of 50%-55%
Yes he does very well against new survivors but that's because Wraith is a killer for new killers. His power is very simple and easy to understand and so are his add-ons. Against very good survivors he struggles a lot because wraith is a predictable killer.
The game needs more easy killers because this game is becoming more and more innaccesible. If you don't have certain perks as survivor the experience is miserable and if you aren't willing to learn stupid techs as killer then you won't perform well.
Wraith is the last killer they should think about nerfing right now.

Why not take DH instead of SB and then bodyblock a hit for the person in case they don't have OTR? I know its more difficult to use now, but it allows for value for both of you. TBH the biggest takeaway from the 5 second BT should be seeing if the killer wants to wait it out and then tunnel that person, in which case you should be going for a bodyblock unless they have an instadown (sometimes even then, honestly.)
Like yeah SB will help you escape after the unhook, but you're doing nothing to remove the pressure that the hook provided the killer in the first place. Worse, you're leaving the unhooked person to their fate immediately. Only time I can see it being effective is if you are trying to make a distraction and the killer didn't have LoS, so they might think your scratch marks are from the unhooked person (but if you're not bleeding, the lack of blood will make that easy to see through.)
Because that is hook trading? Dead Hard is not reliable and does not give you much distance. Against a camping killer, spamming reassurance will make it so the other 3 survivors should be able to escape.
-
@Ryuhi said:
No it won't, people will still camp if they were already going to, they'll just go for hook trades instead of grabs. If they get you down super fast in the process or have a power that lets them do it efficiently, they'll try to double up and get both of you as well like they always have. The biggest impact the perk is going to have overall just being another tool for swfs to exploit (either against the killer or solo survivors)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3141746#Comment_3141746
This is a good point. You're more likely to see it extend timers slightly with drive by routing when the hooks allow for it, or coordinated groups alternating getting just close enough to stagger its activation. So like most things in the game, its actual impact will be low while its room for exploitation will be high.
That's why i think Reassurance + Sprint Burst will be a good combo. Sneak up to the hook, use reassurance and then sprint away. If the killer chases and downs you then the other survivors will have the opportunity to unhook. Also use kindred to see if the killer is camping
-
Nah the game has been very fun for me since 6.1.0
-
Oh please, no tears, they are a waste of good suffering.
-
I'd rather not. VSync is to get rid of screen tearing. Uncap FPS means your system will be pushed to the max, rendering frames you cannot see. Also if you ever have any problems with this stuff and ask BHVR for support they will tell you shouldn't uncap your FPS because it's not supported.
-
No
-
You are looking at switching to Friday The 13th 😂
-
Clearly trickster needs to be nerfed :p
