Eastern time. So 50 minutes or so.
Thanks

No one knows for sure. It could be it could not be the devs haven't confirmed.
All we know is there is a trailer at 9
What time is it now for you? I'm talking about time zone

Basically it forces people to buy the dlc or grind to hell. They love money :)
I'll be okay if they make these characters more accessible for players without spending money
-
I guess BHVR feels the same. Can't wait for the patch so that people spends money on pass and tiers :)
-
I'm surprised you got matched with red rank killers. Usually red rank survivors are getting green or brown rank killers..
-
Ghostface. I like one shotting people when they don't even know where i am.
2 days later it's gonna be doctor. That laugh.. oh man

Their is 0 % chance of you being awake in a chase. Just like their is 0% chance of knowing if the pallet you are running too is fake if you haven’t been to that area. Just like their is 0% chance of stopping Freddy from spamming all of his pools at every loop.
Hence Freddy is unfun and his power does not rely on skill. It relies on spam and luck
If you try to loop freddy around the pallet when you're in dream, then you're already lose. Also, if you try to abuse god loops, you lose too
As for the dream pallet, if you can identify which pallet is fake, then what's the point of the power?
Freddy is one of the killer you can't loop normally, so normally people think that he is unfun to play against because they refuse to adapt.

They said the stat is wrong? When did they say it?

When i play killer, i expect to lose. Not even dare to dream about winning..
As long as i'm relax and having fun, i'm already satisfied..

I have only P3'd 1 killer and 1 survivor. Survivors are just skins, and the only killer I truly like to play is ghostface. But even then, it does not change the fact that you can get enough add-ons for 10 games with a single match of using BBQ.
Assuming 1 match earns 60k bp, that's only 10 matches with 2 brown add-ons. And you know what? Brown add-ons don't do much (with few exception, i use these add-ons like pallet freddy)
Since they don't do much, i just play with no add-ons because i feel no difference.
-
Making tier list only makes survivor mains and devs to target killers more easily.
Pls stop making them

As I said, a brown add-on costs you 3k points. You can get 50k in a match with just BBQ alone. It is practically unlimited offerings.
What else is there to spend the bloodpoints on once you hit P3? Survivor items? I can have items last 5-6 games, which is probably 100k points as well.
I don't even know what to do with all my items and offerings, sometimes I just spam mori's because I have so many.
Not everyone P3 every survivors and killers lol. Hell, i haven't even levelled up all characters to lv 50, even i already have 400 in-game hours.
Sometimes you need to think about casual players.

@Apple2o said:
With BBQ and a bloodpoint offering, I can get upwards of 80-90k points per match playing as killer.
It boggles my mind that some people refuse to even run brown add-ons as killer when you get enough points to run them every game with a single down in many cases.

I don't use add-ons because I don't like finite items. Also, i want to spend my blood points on other things, not just the killer i play.

All my totems were still lit at the end, even i don't protect them at all lol

I would love to have more shards. Currently i have 400 in-game hours, but i still haven't unlocked all the killers, let alone survivors.
This "you either pay up or grind to hell" thing is not appealing to new players. That's one of the reason the playerbase is not growing
But i don't think it will happen. Because more shards = less people to pay their overpriced cosmetics = less income
Devs won't allow that

Yeah, if i'm not wrong. Because i remembered i was quite excited to see that outfit in free track

Id say
Early Game: 5-4 Gens left and no one dead
Mid Game: 3 Gens left and no one dead
Late Game: 2-1 gen and no one dead OR 1 person dead before any amount of gens done.
I say this because once survivors lost a member its basically a GG unless they have a god tier looper on their hands.
According to your classification, i am already in late game when i got 1 hook lol (1 hook = 3 gens)

I think Hag is 100% the most balanced killer. She takes quite a bit of know how and can have a huge effect on the game while not remaining overbearing on pro-survivors and not being too underbearing for noobie-survivors.

Pretty good job so far

Maybe it is for you because you're veteran, but i'm not. I'm just casual player that plays in mid-rank. And i'm extremely frustrated when playing as killer because i constantly go against red rank survivors when i'm only green rank (i faced 2 OoO bully squad in 5 of my games yesterday)
-
Play him with no perks & add-ons.
If you lose, it's normal, so you don't feel bad. If you win, well, that's entirely survivors' fault or you're just too skillful.
Not to mention you won't get hatemails :)
PS: i do it from time to time with any killers

I understand that not everyone is a god killer, I don't think I am. I might consider myself above average. But that's about all. (As expected with as many hours as I've put into the game)
Honestly as killer I think you need some type of slow down perk to be viable in most cases. It doesn't have to be ruin, but you really need something... Corrupt, Pop, Ruin, Thrilling Tremors. Thanato, Sloppy Butcher. Just something that can make the survivors take a little longer. If you don't have any even as a skilled player you are probably gonna have a bad time. Unless the survivors are complete potatoes.
Honestly I think playing as killer is pretty fair right now. But you deff work harder to secure wins than survivor does. But at least you don't have to worry about teammates sabotaging the game. It's all on you.
That's why the gen speed is a problem.. as killer, i shouldn't need to bring certain perks just to have a chance.
I should still be able to win even with no perks and add-ons with any killers, if i have the skill, Because survivors certainly can do it.

The new Ruin is way better than the older ruin.
As a Clown main, I may start using the new Ruin (I rarely use Ruin, as I know how to apply extreme pressure on Clown without Ruin) for some added pressure.
New ruin is still a hex. All downsides of hex still remains. It can still be destroyed in first 30 sec of match.
However, its effect is nothing comparable to the old ruin. It does not help you in any time of the match.
If you say ruin is better, then you should also say lullaby is better than old ruin too.

It depends on everything else that happened in the game.
kills and escaping alone shouldnt determined the pip.
Whats better, 3 hooking 2 survivors and 2 hooking the ones that escape? Or 3 hooking 2 survivors and not hooking the others at all?
There is a lot of variables to take into account and nobody is saying that the current system is perfect
That's what i'm saying.
As killer, you can 2 hook everyone but depip or black pip.
As survivors, i only depip or black pip when killer camps or tunnels me, which is not that common actually.
So back to your post, i think pipping as killer should not depend on kills. Saying 2k for killers should always be black pip is just unfair for killers.
(Not to mention how bad the the system is for plague and other 1 shot killers)

I was pretty worried about it in all honesty. However I was watching Otzdarva's stream yesterday. The man did like 10 games in a row in red ranks with no ruin and won all of them. Mostly with Legion who he was practicing. I was like you know what if he can do it, I can do it as well. I load up DBD pick my boy Michael Myers. My Perks were Pop/Nurses/Monitor/BBQ. Add-ons J.Myers Memorial, and Dead Rabbit.
I play and proceed to win the next 5 games I play without ruin. I had a game were they did pop two gens pretty early but I came back from it towards the mid game pretty strong. I think I might have been relying too much on Ruin in the past, and now I don't really think I need it. Especially with Michael and his slow start.
I know the majority of killer mains are going crazy because of the change, but have you tried going without ruin, and just using a fairly strong build and see how you do? And if you did, did you have good results, or poor results?
Not everyone is god killer. And not everyone play this game for living.
For example, I'm not. I just want to have fun, not to sweat myself.
I don't care if i get kills or not. I just want a fair game, even it ends up with 4 escapes.
PS: i don't even own ruin and pop at the moment. So you can imagine how my games go..

I don't disagree. The grind is real. I know they added extra BP to survivors a while back. They also added in the Rift system that gives a lot of bp rewards. I think those are nice, but much more is needed.
The thing I'm seeing though is that they are taking small steps to address these issues. I'm not sure I'm sold on the steps they have taken though. This Ruin change may pay off. It may turn out to make matches too lopsided and they have to revert it, or try something else. I don't think we can fully say either one at this moment. What we can say is that we should let it ride and see what happens with it.
You know.. i have almost 500 in game hours.. still haven't unlocked all non-licensed killers (2 remains), let alone survivors.
Reduce the grind should be the top priority for devs if they want more new players. No one wants to grind for thousands of hours just to unlock all in-game characters.
And i haven't even mentioned the cosmetics.. 21k for 1 purple outfit which they keep releasing.. lol
Except you pay, which is kind of greedy for devs to be honest

Why would you pip for a 2k?
The game is balanced around a 2k. It’s designed so that in a killer vs survivor game of equal skill you will get the 2k. A black pip should be what you get. You didn’t do bad, you didn’t do good. You did average.
A pip requires you doing better than expected showing that this isn’t the level for you, you’re a better player and need to be moved to a higher rank as you performed better than was designed.
In that regard the rank system appears to be working.
Then why can survivors pip when they die in the game?
Why can the last survivors get a pip when exit via hatch when all teammates are killed?
There are reasons why people feel that it's too easy to rank up.

God forbid the developers make the game appealing to new players! Why would we want to grow the game and make more money?! This is absurd! No, new players are just going to have to toughen up buttercups. We don't want to attract and keep new players, because that means less DbD for us, right?!
Seriously, the developers making changes that helps attract fresh blood to this game is the only way this game will continue forward. If you can't attract new players and keep them, you die as a game. So those trying to point to the devs wanting to make the game less frustrating and more attractive to new players as some form of proof of a conspiracy, grow up and take a business management class.
Then how about reducing the grind? I'm pretty sure it's one of the reason why new players leave, not because of just one perk LOL.
Currently, you either grind to hell or pay to unlock new characters and perks. You know how many DLCs this game has? Do you really want to pay so much of before even start playing the new game?

I play as killer mainly due to avoiding button mashing on 2nd stage hook
Gotta protect my precious keyboard :)

If this was true most games would end with two survivors escaping and all points for players would be close to equal. In reality in almost every game the killer has the most points by a few thousand and on average more survivors die than escape. I suck as a killer and usually get a 4k. There is no comparison, killer is way way easier. It probably has to be that way otherwise no one would play killer, but I don't understand why killer mains complain so much.
I think you misunderstood my point. The main point of this post is most of the time survivors are holding M1, which is not fun and takes no skill.
Maybe in chase survivors have higher skill ceiling, but that the only thing for survivors to have fun and improve. And as i said, killer can only chase 1 survivors 1 at the time, meaning most of the time you're not in chase.
Maybe i missed a point. Map awareness is also something survivors can improve.

Eh not really fair to say. I remember when I started playing survivor, the grind was brutal. I died almost every game and hovered at like rank 15-17 for a bit. Hex checks were impossible, I didn’t know maps or loops, and couldn’t outrun the killer at all. There’s a lot to learn as survivor, and I continue to learn.
I also play killer and no shade, I didn’t have to grind much at all to start doing well and getting 4K games. Plus I ranked up much much faster.
That's because you were new to this game. But after you get the hang of it, the game almost become M1simulator

When corrupt is active, I just wait for someone else to get in a chase and start doing gens like normal because either with corrupt active, the killer can still only chase one survivor at a time. shrug.
Only really good on Trapper and Hag imo, who can pre-emptively set up defense. Maybe Plague as well since she can easily puke on 4 generators.
No, it's terrible on plague especially. Yes, you can puke on all 4 remaining gens, but what do you think survivors will do? They will all hide for 2 mins because they can't do any gens without getting infected. So you'll just wasting a perk slot.

Yeah, and he has to get a whole whopping M1 hit to down people. What about when you load into a horrid map with basically nothing to work with, and you can't even stop him finding you because your team can feed him your location for free.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/981024#Comment_981024
If you don't think hag is god tier you are probably just bad. She has statistically some of the highest kill rates in the game, and is braindead easy to play. Lay trap, get a free hit. Anyone competent can pick her up and 4k.
And you might not pip facecamping, but it can 100% get you an easy, easy 4k. If I facecamp it's usually starting at 5 gens, and from there, what can the survivors do? You either trade with BT / DS, which people might not have, OR, you can watch everyone die 1 by 1 on their first hook and still probably 4k even if all the gens get done because by that time there will only be 2 survivors left.
I remember when getting downs used to take some skill in this game, but it's slowly going away.
Btw do you main trapper? If that's the case, corrupt intervention is definitely better than ruin.
But if you're not playing setup killer like hag and trapper, it is useless. Imagine if survivors just hide for 2 minutes and voila! Your perk is gone.
I seriously think that corrupt intervention is overrated.
-
I'll probably won't use mori in my next match after seeing this.. just the next one :)
(I'm joking btw, i never used mori)
-
I think corrupted intervention is overrated.. survivors can just hide for 120 secs, and that's it! One killer perk gone.

Please disable them.
I'm tired of having to spend 7k BP on an in-game advertisement that constantly clogs my killer's webs -- especially when I already own the damn killers I'm getting the splinters for.
Literally hundreds of thousands of BP of mine has been flushed down the toilet because I forcefully had to take a splinter offering that lets me play a killer I already own without any perks, and many more BP was lost trying to avoid the damn things in the first place by having to inefficiently spend BPs on add-ons or offerings I didn't want, or unable to reach that one survivor pudding or party streamers that was behind the splinter offering itself.
DLC refund looks at your DLC playtime? I didn't know that..

Well, that might be for a different reason
To OP, they disabled them as the splinters were really buggy, allowing some players to be able to even level up killers they don't even own and play as them
I did it when i use freddy splinter few months ago, but of course i didn't level up him or play him. Also, this issue has been fixed several patch before
