I would imagine killer bugs are more difficult to fix than survivor bugs because survivors are just skins and don’t have special powers.

Survivor got the special power to turn into pros and never be found or hit while in a chase

But this power only activates when in SWF, other wise Survivors are pretty.....lets just say they are easyer to catch then

It's always worked for me; I always get the scream, so it's not a lie. It's happened. I even got a ton of value while doing my adept game.

I've since also seen streamers use the perk, and it's worked as intended. But thanks for telling me I'm lying, when I'm not. :)

I dunno, as i said i tried it in the first fiew days, never worked, had to rely on the timer showing up to know if someone touched the gen or not, so if it got patched in the mean time, i dunno, but for sure it still had bugs for the first 3 or 5 days

Dragon's grip was fixed on the move from PTB to live; it functions perfectly right now.

This is a lie, when it went live, i tried the 3 perks on the same game, and Dragons grip never got survivor to cry, even if they touched it right after the kick, or within the 30 secs, and i know people said it was still buged on the forum :)

Since then i never tried the perk, caus eif it doesn work... yeah you see what i mean

  • @CashelP14 said:

No they don't favour survivor bugs. We still have the flashlight bugs where certain killers can't be flashlighted at a pallet and some can't be locker blinded.

who is bugged like that? when i play with some FL i didn't really noticed any killer being immuned, but i don't play with FL THAT often

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Something worth noting is that universal killer bugs take longer to physically fix, hence why it takes longer to patch them out. Survivors are exactly the same code, just with different models; therefore a universal survivor bug, once fixed on one survivor, is fixed on them all. Killers are all coded completely differently, so not only do you have to see if a universal killer bug is fixed on every single killer (21 characters, over the 1 single survivor), plus you have to make sure fixing a bug preventing Demogorgon from using Shred doesn't suddenly make Deathslinger's hat obscure his vision and Pyramid Head's Great Knife suddenly can't swing unless you do a 460 degree turn and pledge your allegience to Queen Elizabeth 3rd before you do so.

It's just easier and quicker to fix survivor bugs, so more of them get patched quicker, if that makes sense?

Well this...makes actually a lot of sence, thank you

yet i sure hope/wish they would take some time off from the rift and chapters to fix some bugs up... i don't even know if they fixed the bugs on some killer perks, like Dragon's Grasp, that didn't got survivor to scream when touching the gen right after a kick

just like i would love an option to "turn off the aim-assist" so you can try to see if it really helps, and not get abused about this (i mean of course console probably need it, but PC? i dunno)

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

am i the only one who remembers the hill bug? or stuns only stopping certain killers for 1 measly second?

they are slow to change things, its not a survivor or killer thing

I didn't said it was a survivor or killer thing, just that it's how i feel :)

And i didn't encountered thesetwo bugs tbh, so i can't remember them :(

Yet i remember the bug wher e2 survivors animations where "connected" so when one gets hooked, so had the other the animation to be hooked, even when in the middle of nowhere :D was funny tbh...saw it again too...yesterday

  • Im just wondering why killer perks are always the ones that gets the most nerfs and conditions to apply (hello surge), making them unfun to use or unplayable for most character thanks to these conditions

(Unlike...you know most of survivor perks where they have very fiew conditions, a fiew perks needs to be balanced out, and a lot to be buffed to see more different builds)

    "You want to report them"

And thus this line means you weren't actually reading my posts as I flat out said its not report worthy.

You also ignored me pointing out winning =/= fun as that's a logical fallacy called the "False Equivalence Fallacy"

I have no further reason to respond if I am going to be actively ignored.

    You where defenetly right buddy

    About all that you said

  • Red bar means it goes slower, that is correct (like with thanatophobia or dying light)

When 2 survivors are on a gen, its red but goes faster, why? Simple, each survivor repairs at a reduced speed so it *shows red, but since there are 2 survivors, even with reduced speed it will go faster then alone

    Thats the reason

  • Cause theyre scared

Or low ranks cause res ranks they dont wait for it, they just go in and do the gens

I mean there are 3 or 4 gens that are completly free, just learn the way to find the survivors

  • MMR is getting worked on and i guess it will come back, just hope in a better way

  • Just loop the killer around, easy

If he cant hook, he cant mori think about it

So play sneaks or extremely looper

Beside the same question goes to keys

You see a key you know as a killer that about the 3/2 gens left mark youre going to see 2 or 3 survivors escape with it (and yes the devs will also rework the keys)

But by that logic demi, Billy, one, spirit, nurse, Freddy, legion are all good against solo survivors im asking what makes her so great when these other killers can do her job better.

Creating a huge snowball as soon as she downs 1 survivor

Making it impossible to touch multiple gens as you are in her web

Good trap placement makes it almost impossible to run away from her

She gets from point A to B faster then any other thanks to her trap

She strongly punishes mistakes with her traps

You should take a look at how Otzdarva plays her, shes incredibly strong as soon as she set up her web.

Beside not knowing if/where is safe against a killer makes it more scary then any other, since at anymoment she might jump out of a trap

  • Lightborn to be able to pick up and never be blinded ar pallets BUT you dont know where other survivors are

Infectious to know where the nearby survivors are and if it is safe, BUT they still can blind you on loops

Looking at a wall may save your pickup but yous till may get blinded

Everyone of these gives a nice bonus but also takes something away, theyre all good in their own way tbh.

If there are like 3 or 4 FL i would take Lightborn so they cant make anyuse of it

I experienced the grab before. You can NOT hook, drop survivor, use your ability, kick gen / pallet, open locker and move at 3.6 m/s in the entire of trial. In the other hand, the lag switcher will invincible and do whatever he wants like nothing happen.

Ive seen also the fact that if you hook him like twice in a raw (i mean try to hook) hell get kicked from the game (but it doesnt always work) record these kinda games and report the player !

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/186614/add-100-bonus-bps-for-survivors-to-moris

Id far prefer if they just made it so that you could only mori on death hook, and that you had to pick the survivor up first to do it, maybe even have to bring them to a hook so that the camera position is more consistent as well as limiting its gameplay impact. Also in a perfect world keys would get nerfed as well to only being able to use their current add ons and maybe something else as well, but thats a different discussion. You could even add a bp bonus for the killer and make it give you a flat amount of BP per person you mori.

Let mori after the first hook and its too strong

But make it possible only on death hook and it becomes almost useless tbh.

I prefer the idea "ihook every survivor once to be able to mori"

Who do you think started this separation of the community? Of course I make my own opinions, but most people agree with others opinions, thereby making their opinions your opinions.

But if my opinion isnt their opinion, but some people agree to it, does it still make it our opinion?

    (Sorry had to do that)

Who started the separation? Well the community of a 1v4 game had 2 choices: harmony or discord.

    Human always chose discord lol

Its good you make your own opinion tho :)

Everyone has their own opinions, and its fine to agree or disagree with them

Literally all of the problems the Devs have could all be solved if they split the lobbies.

The casuals would stop complaining about "tryhards" in their casual game, and the competitive people can just be left alone (that's all we really want especially when we get no support form the devs or the people trying to gate-keep.)

Well the problem is that many also complains about the waiting times to queue. Split the mods and you can be sure the waiting times will be doubled for everyones.

Plus the competitive mode would die quickly (i think) because people wouldnt want to willingly fight sweaty SWF groups.

And it doesnt mean these same groups cant go in normal mode as all the wish is to survive/gen rush/loop the killer to oblivion

  • Community > Split in 2 parts

Survivors : cries about noed/killer powers and nerfs

Killers : cries about loops and second chances perks

You cant really listen to most of the community casue theyre just ripping themselves appart and would always say different things.

They listen to some ideas of the community (not all the interesting ones thats true) but they dont have to do everything the community says.

I prefer devs that zre close to their communities without giving them the upper hand, si that the game can stay within the devs vision of it, and not be a mess

    Thats my opinion tho

PS: who is space coconut lol

Double PS: dont listen to everything youtubers/streamers says and make your own opinion on some of that stuff, really

  • Yup very probably lagswitching or lagabsuing, survivors learned to do it, mostly you see it when youre about to hook them but your character freezes instead of hooked, letting them wiggle off.

In this cases, if its not your connection or the servers laging, record it for a nice report.

Its always very suspicious when they bring no mither tbh.

What happened with the locker grab?

  • @Buckoben said:

This wouldn't be a problem if the lobbies were split.

Nah its not even the problem, but i would rather have like 30 ranks to rank up and make it way harder for surv to rank up (making like rank 10-5 already very good but the place where you enjoy more and ranks 5-1 the ones where you tryhard cause its the hard part, the "competitive" part)

Survivors rank up way too easily.

I think most of it may be cleared with MMr as the tryharders will have a high ranking, but their waiting time will be longer too i think.

  • Its a causal enjoyable game, made for fun and adrenaline....

That is until everyone is going all hard and competitive over a casuals game like they always do...and that kills the fun and the thrill of such a game and thats sad.

Azarov's is one of the more balanced maps because of the ability for the survivors to either get an easy win by splitting the map, or the killer to get an easy win by forcing a genlocke.

I'll agree though, most Autohaven maps have a lot of safe pallets, but then have few windows. Swamp lacks both, but is large and works amazingly if you're immersive.

Shelter Woods, I believe, is the map you're referring to there, and I agree the entire place is a dead zone.

If I'm being completely honest, I think we need more pallets and windows, they just need to be significantly less safe (and we need to delete Midwich :D).

Doesnt apply to you Karu tho, youre a good boy

I mean, it is in the name :3

Tbh i find midwich okay but it could use a fiew tweaks thats for sure (like making the 2 exit doors further away, other wise most of the pallets and Windows arent that safe or allows you to go to another loop)

Swamp is annoying cause when the surv go immersive you lay never find them, especially claudette and jake lol, but when you find one there aint much he can do (except for 1 pr 2 strong places with windows)

Cause the most annoying thing as a killer, like me, who isnt a strong rank1 killer but mostly a rand 7-5 killer, is getting looped for all the game as the surv can chain super strong pallets and windows, and that one mindgame that you fail will extend the looping for 5-20 secs. Even more when a jungles gym connects to a T/L wall.

Another exemple, the macmilan mines where you have all these super strong windows in the middle makes the map pretty horrible to play for most killers against some one that can loop, as you usually have like 4 if not more windows connected.

Azarrov is okayish, but damn does it have many many Z loops with pallets forcing a break

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    > Too many pallets, too many windows

Correct me if I'm wrong the majority of maps have very few pallets and windows, and those with lots are very unsafe pallets/windows. Coming from the dude yesterday where I had a blood lodge match with the FunBus™ into a Long Wall, Shack into Long Wall, and about 6 safe filler pallets in the middle of the map.

There are serious issues in the game. Right now, pallet amounts aren't one.

    Depends the map honestly

Azarovs (hope i didnt wrote it wrong) has many very very strong pallets, as the swamp got fiewer pallets and not very safe ones

The map with a giant tree in the middle (dont really know the map names sorry lol) is one of the maps, if not the map with the least pallets in it (with shreks swamp)

The point is also how many Tiles or pallets leads you to another junglegym or tile and how much time it gets to waste for you just because of it

I think the complain is more for the combination of windows+pallets. I dont think thats the real problem in the game, but rather the gen time with the little pressure you can apply on 4 survivors and the many second chances perks they get (as if killer makes a mistake, its 4 times bigger then a survivor mistake since its a team of 1 vs a team of 4)

P.S.: can we not make fun about someones whos english obviously aint the best and that probably plays the game in another language explaining why he doesnt knownthe english names of some perks? (Doesnt apply to you Karu tho, youre a good boy)

Except with how crappy match making is, new players are going against rank 1s.

SWF groups can go against rank 1

A 4 solo new players wont go higher then rank 14 or 12 actually

But if theyre in a swf (especially with one that has higher level) then yeah they get the short end of the stick

  • Hes basicaly fun to verse as he demends another gameplay from the survivors,

But 2 things also make him unfun:- hiw easy it is to fake your power without loosing distance to get aassured hits

    - the fact that many PH players are actually the unfun part of the char, as they play like A-holes and will tunnel you to death (since he gets a free tunnel card if youre not carefull, but even while being carefull they tunnel hard)

So yeah...players are the unfun part of the killer on my opinion

Plus you cant punish him for tunneling...

  • @Bullettimegod said:

I think its gonna get worse with hit changes

Trust me, i already got a fiew where it was worse lol

  • @tippy2k2 said:

    Yes they should go.

You didn't "dodge" me; you took advantage of a shittastic aim system that loses its damn mind when a survivor spins around like a ballerina.

Yes, there are ways a killer can get around it (primarily by not lunging) but I shouldn't have to waste a few more precious seconds getting close enough on someone's ass that I now owe them breakfast just because the aiming system is so broken...

EDIT: As it has been brought up a few times now, this does seem almost exclusively a console problem, which is what I'm on. I have no idea if this is a problem for PC peeps, though from at least what I've heard, it's not.

Tbh even tho many people tell its only console problems, i see PC killers that still often get" owned " sp to say by that

  • @Crypticghoul said:

While it's pretty rare that I miss because of it (PC), it's still incredibly obnoxious when survivors start spinning like a helicopter's blades as soon as they see the red stain. I'd like to see it toned down a bit tbh.

The console players are especially bad about it, presumably because it's easier to do on a controller and because it works on console killers more.

Plus with crossplay, the ping gets a bit ######### up and they may get a fiew out with OC killers haha

  • @MegaWaffle said:

First off I'm not a fan of calling a 360 an exploit. Yes console is affected by horrible FPS and I can understand why people could consider the term as a result, but I still feel its far more logical to try and move unpredictably to avoid a hit rather than run straight. I would hazard a guess the vast majority of players are not hunting "millisecond frames" to mess with hit detection but rather move unpredictably to avoid an easy hit.

As a mainly console player 360's are far more potent than PC. For obvious reason the frame rate and overall connection to one another are often not as strong as PC, so such sudden movement can catch you off guard. It is not difficult to hit a 360 when you A: Gain a little game knowledge or B: Start to expect all survivors will try it (sorta like Dead hard), and while the animations may seem off at times if you really look at the swing time and were the survivor was at that moment they make sense, again animations may seem off due to connection.

As for the camera following survivors, this is intended as the "hit" had already been registered as the game tries its best to sync the animations up to it. This is so hit seem more "natural" and less janky, yes we still have plenty of jank but it would be much worse if the animation sync was also none existent.

So my final thought are, 360's are a last ditch effort to avoid a hit and unless used against an inexperienced player will result in little to no length in survival time.

Well you gave an interesting thought i must say, it is true that you can get some hits, or avoid getting hit, but 2 things may also happen now

-the..."aim system" gets confused and prioritise an obstacle to the survivor (if that makes sence)

-with the hit check (and that already happened to me today tbh so i can count it in) the game doesnt give you the hit because of it

  • @Heartbound said:

I try to 360 every time I see a red stain on my back. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It has never been a real game changer unless you somehow manage to link multiple 360's in a row and if you manage that then you're amazing. No salt allowed.

Thats true but ive also seen people kinda exploiting the aim system so that the game gets you to hit an obstacle rather then the survivor...

.if you see what i mean there, i dunno how to explain it lol

  • @Artick said:

360 is not one of the "real things". And honestly I can't take people who complain about 360s seriously, no matter how much I try. Seems a new player issue and, without trying to sound rude or anything, a case of git gud.

Lol i dont complained, i just wanna get some thoughts on it cause nobody ever talk about it lol

So he can just sit there and do nothing till the end and nothing happens because he got 4 kills? I understand it's dumb that the totems weren't done but how is it not against TOS?

You cannot report it cause its his way to play,

What if a killer never finds any survivor for an entire game, then manage a 4K thanks to noed/BW? Its the same only the wraith waited for it to happen.

The killer plays as he wish, he can be afk, farming, camping, going crazy thats his choice.

Survivors may too but as theyre in a.coop mode this is banable.

So just get rid of your salt, yes it was probably annoying, but no you cant report someone for using a tactic that allows him to 4k, even less when it could have gone with a quick 0 k lol

  • With T1 you can sneak up on survivors and even grab them off the gen.... you would be surprised to see how often it actually works

Plus fat Myers is a fun build to play

T1 allows you to be super close to start stalking survivors, and you can even get a fiew hits if they arent carefull.

Over all i find it pretty okay, hes weaker at the beginning and stronger at the end (T3)

    Plus psychological pressure

  • Gonna explain the pattern real quick:

Survivors: started to try hard on killer with gen rush or toxic behavior

    >killer adapted and became toxic with camping/tunneling (note these 2 can be switched tho)

    >survivirs started to use their fiew very very strong perks only and learned every map perfectly, as much as optimising their squads and play time (perfect loops, perfect gen time)

    >killers adapts to the fiew choices they have to counter play them or want to have fun

    >survivors still go sweaty against bad killers or these that are discovering a new killer for the first time

    >killers gets annoyed and brings perks to slow down the game (which shouldnt be, there should be another objective to do that for them) and use the said top tier killers (aka spirit/freddy/oni/DS/PH/huntress) because they get great map pressure OR can stop the loops

    >survivors dont wanna adapt to new gameplays and cry for nerfs cause they prefer a boring game where they only escape

    >same survivors complain whenever a killer wants to farm.

(P.S. even while this is all true, i think Spirit/freddy should get a nerf OR most of the other killers a Buff ti be at the same level while tweaking a bit spirit and survivors, yet Deathslinger is fine cause he has many counters, but since a sprintburst isnt enough to save them, guess they prefer to cry)

  • Its not about the stealth

But the blendette herself, its just annoying to have 1 survivor where the char herself can hide anywhere perfectly, and when you know people put on the darkest clothes on her just for this purpose....sorry but killers dont have the time to search 3 times zround the same gen cause shes just blending perfectly with the rest. Even worse on very dark maps.

Stealth with other survivors is fine tho

  • You know that many stores actuslly give discount all the year or all the time on some products right?

  • People just need to complain tbh.

Like survivors that tryhard will play wild and swety against their opponents. So it means perfect loops and gen time optimised.

So the "bad killers" cant keep up if they cant break a loop.

Meaning that killers will chose a killer that can break these compositions (like DS/PH/Spirit/Freddy/Huntress) because you cant just easily loop them.

Since they cant loop they arent optimised so they cry about it, even tho they often escape the game, its all the same with PH tbh.

Yet survivors that arent that good will complain cause they didnt understand yet or had the reflexes yet to Dodge them making it way harder, which i can understand.

Lets keep in mind that you cant complain about the fiewer strong 1v1 billets that you see most of the time in highranks, if you tryhard your ass off against those that want to have fun with weaker killers cause you know its going to be way easyer.

Survivors actions will get killers to react

And killers actions will get survivor to react (si by tunneling or camping it brought the meta perks)

  • @0mikeya0 said:

I really do wish it would return or something because the matchmaking rn is terrible. Just horrible teammates especially with cross-play enabled. I play with cross-play mostly off. I would like to see the MMR return to see what its like with cross-play tho.

    (I play on Xbox)

Did they also turned MMR on Xbox off? I thought it worked there.

Crossplay is kinda fun for me, i keep it on, but its the same point, either the players are good, either they are bad, most of the time bad, cause i guess on pc most of the time you learn at some point and go with a group as on console you mostly stay alone?

Or it can be cause console killers cant do the same moves, so console players have other habits perhaps? Ive seen console players do manythings that arent done anymore on pc cause the meta changed lol. But maybe its just me hahaha

  • @BananaBlooD95 said:

As a rank 1 killer who main Legion and Clown rank 3-4-5 generally know how to loop properly but still do many mistake while having meta perk (many DS and DH). Rank 1-2 survivor are a step above 3-4-5 and I struggle against a full swf of those rank. When the MMR was active I was above rank 5 as killer and I was facing rank 4-5-6 for the most part. Before that I was either facing full red rank or lower purple and no middle ground. Either an easy match or me getting destroy and either way I didn't really learned from my match and couldn't improve.

I main pig mostly but also legion so hey budy!

And yes thats one of the points, you cant just improve from your mistake if you dont see them, how can i improve my looking or mindgames as a killer if the survivor know all the strats and knows how to perfectly avoid me, how can i learn to use my power if i never have the time for it.

Whenever i play survivor, il the kind of survivor that killer must love, cause i never use DS/UB lol.

Also i dont complain against SWF, cause i also play with friends sometimes. But we dont tryhard our asses off, we just wanna enjoy the game. If we survive thats cool, if we die, well the killer was better (only going to really tryhard against toxic killers with tunneling or camping and against Freddy/Spirit...we hate them lol)

But yeah you pin pointed exactly the problem there. And thats the annoying part of ranking up for now.

  • @SweetTerror said:

I thought cross-play would help to even out the ranks since the game can pull from a much bigger pool of players, but sadly that doesn't look to be the case. Like you I look forward to the MMR returning, but it definitely needed improving.

The biggest advantage with MMR was the fact that I could test out a killer that I had never played with before and not be punished. But with the game going back to matching people by ranks, means that I'll be facing high-ranking survivors in a bunch of sweaty matches with someone I've never played with before. Which goes to show just how much dead by daylight needs a practice mode like its mobile counterpart has. I thought I would never see the day when I wished that a console game was more like a mobile game! 😄

Cross play is a step forward, but the point is that survivor ranks are very, very easy to gain, you do 1/2 gens and save and its 1 garanteed pip, so even there you wont see many purple ranks, but most of people in red ranks still tryhard a lot.

And im a guy that like to play each killer, but its.not fun for me to play my mains h24 ans never the other, each killer has something to offer, no matter if good or bad and i wanna enjoy my time with them.

  • First i would Balance the game and perks, like for exemple only allowing 1 exhaution perk/survivor, fonda solution Toward face camping, hard tunneling and some other toxic behaviours.

Then I would optimise the game so that there are less fps drops and that everything is stable with good servers (ill never mind small bug as they often get me laughting)

After what I would add a "perk of the week/month" system where 4 survivors/killer perks are showed forward and they would give you a bonus for using them, they would be chosen randomly and like each game grants you a certain number of BP/perk used and for like every 10 games with the 4 perks gives you some shards. It would allow toneventually change the meta perk for something more challenging or fun. Or add a random perk roulette.

But mostly i would change the Matchmaking system, something like the MMR or the actual rank system, but more optimised, i dont mind the actual rank system but they need to be changed do its harder to go in high ranks and they get matched together more accuratly (purple ranks with purple ranks, red with red, brown with brown...)

And thats just a bit of what i think, even tho iblove the game as it is for most of the parts

  • They dont really for me lol

And i meant an updated version, not the mash we had last time

  • @bingbongboi90 said:

For me it can start right now because the rank matchmaking is for me more broken then mmr.

    Just had a match against a rank 1 and a rank 2 as a rank 10 killer.

When mmr was live i didn't had any single of these matches

    I am a rank 9-7 killer

When MMR was live i fought many many low ranks or begginner (anf i looked forward to letting them survive or not focusing on them)

Yet i ranked up very easily because of that which was bad tbh.

But already at rank 9 i fought many sweaty rank 1 survivors which wasnt that fun, but lately i got the feeling they are even more tryhard then usual? And that kills the fun.

MMR could have been great if they just gave it a fiew more weeks to collect data for the ranking...

Ugh, when it comes back will I have to face 100 matches of level 1 Killer again?? If so, please never come back...

Well theyre working on it so it doesnt happen

I dont wanna fight level 1 surv/killers dont get me wrong

But i also dont wanna fight these with 3k hrs you know

I wanna fight whats on my level

  • So TLDR:

You dont like the new killer cause its not a girl

Thats all i understand here tbh

So, you like my idea but it should have some changes based on your arguments, how about no hook suicides if 3+ gens were repaired meaning the killer got a "comeback" getting a 2k and hooking the 3rd survivor, but yes to hook suicide if killer is camping hook or only 2 or less gens were repaired where the killer would be a "tryhard" in your perception? Is that better?

That would be better, but lets be honest, impossible to do in such a game cause its too hard for the devs and too many conditions haha, but it would be better yeah.

Most of the time when the surv suicide hook its cause he know there is no comeback and no way to save the game thats the point/problem.

  • If slugging is a startegy so is hook suicide to give out the hatch...

Cause à lot of killers are gonna stay near the hook anyway cause you know there are only 3 possible ways to act for the survivors:

    -take the risk and unhook

-search the hatch or hide to prepare

-do gens (if there is more then 1 it will most of the time not be worth it and its gonna give out your location to the killer)

Lets be honest if the game went well for survivors and you made a comeback, yes it feels cheap to get out with the hatch

    BUT

if you destroyed them and they did max 2-3 gens...ill just consider it tryharding to get a 4k when a 3k was already good in my opinion

1 … 8 9 10 11 12 13
