Another thing I noticed - In the True Blight cinematic, he has 5 fingers. Normal Blight has 6. I'm not sure if that's how it is ingame, (and it could be an oversight) but that could be more evidence to True Blight being his first transformation.

The lore itself and certain add-on descriptions suggest he does not revert to his normal self after transforming. Also in the Tome V story, it's easy to say he hasn't transformed yet up until that moment the Pustula Canker took a hold of him. Now that begs the question if he changed from the plant overdose or the serum overdose.
We have seen this ping pong ######### inject himself quite a few times over the years, and I believe the devs even referred to him as their take on Jekyll & Hyde at one point. Maybe here's a thought. True Blight was the first transformation. It's wild, disgusting, chaotic. Maybe after a while he reverted back. Anything is possible with the killers. Maybe what we see in his actual trailer is his final transformation. The Entity got him hooked, and he can never go back again. His serum is much more refined, which can explain why his normal Blight skin doesn't have all the Pustula Roots and Entity Claws out of his back.

Yeah. Why are you sorry were you the cheryl.
No no, I haven't played in a few weeks. I just know how stupid that achievement is.
-
Well, idk if this is proven, but since we see him transform a few different times in his trailers, and all his little animatics I think he may transform multiple times. If I remember right, his Eternal Blight skin comes straight from a plant, while his regular skin comes from his serum, so it may have something to do with that. If he can transform multiple times, kinda like a Jekyll/Hyde thing, it's perfectly reasonable to say both are canon.
-
Were you trying to get the stupidly hard Evil Incarnate achievement? If so I'm so sorry.

Please enlighten me on how to do so.
There should be an option to turn off Crossplay. In your options menu. It's been awhile since I've taken a glance at the menu's, it might be under social. It will make queues longer though, since it only pulls from people who also have crossplay turned off.
-
I mean... I hope this doesn't come across as rude, but if the game is affecting you so much, then you should probably take a break. No game is worth your mental health.
For actual help, well... I'd suggest watching DbD Channels like Scott Jund, Otzdarva, even OhTofu. They all have great videos on how to play killer more effectively.

I just want to know the best killers to play to get bloodpoints any of them are fine I just want to accumulate blood points fast.
Honestly, most killers in this game are very good at getting BP if you play well as them. Legion is just the one I listed because you don't even have to get a single kill and you will still get tons of BP.
So, really, play any killer you want. Except Plague. Plague barely get's any points.

oh ok thank you I will definitely use this is there any certain way to play legion?
Well... Legion is very, very good at getting people injured. Hell, I'd say he's probably the best at it in the entire game. If you have it, run perks like Thanatophobia. The bad thing about legion is that he isn't very good at getting downs, other than just kinda being a 115 M1 killer. Get good at chasing if you actually wanna get downs. Run Thana if you have it, then maybe some chase perks. Brutal Strength, enduring/spirit fury. Pop is also always a good perk, but it requires you to get downs.

lol bro nobody is giving any tips
I did. If your main goal is BP, play legion. He is very easy to play, and he earns bloodpoints like a monster. Throw on BBQ If you want genera tips... Don't waste too much time chasing if you feel you can't catch the survivor, move on to someone else. There are some loops, mainly long loops that can be seen over, where your best bet is to hold W until the survivor's drop the pallet. Mindgame shorter pallets and tiles with walls if you can.
-
If you just want BP? Play Legion. Easy and a BP machine.
-
Honestly... Yeah. I have no idea why they just don't delay it. More people will buy the chapter if the killer is good on release, not a few weeks after. This is quite literally the fist chapter that I don't want to buy, at all, and probably won't until they make them better.
It is good when a company delays things - it shows their customers that they care about the product. Not delaying it, only to apply a hotfix a few weeks in doesn't sit right with me.

Not every single perk has downsides, and nor do they need to. These just have conditions. All these are pretty great changes, and would make these perks not terrible, as most of them are.
Iron Will doesn't have a downside, it has condition - being injured. Same thing with killer perks. Sloppy Butcher doesn't have a downside, just a condition - you just have to hit someone. These are not OP in any way, shape, or form. As a killer, I would not mind going against these at all.

Crossplay came about because people on PC wanted to play with friends on other platforms. But just because someone has a more powerful system doesn't mean they should be excluded from your matchmaking pool. For example, PC players can have wildly different variations to hardware. Yet if they disable crossplay they still get matched against people with better/worst PC's. Because as long as everyone is on the same platform (Steam) they play together, regardless of crossplay options. Xbox One and Xbox Series X are both the Xbox PLATFORM. I think people mistake a new machine as a new platform. That is the old way of doing things. Nintendo still does that and it's failing. Microsoft said from day 1 of Xbox One this is the end of console generations. They meant that from then on, Xbox is a platform just like Steam. Series X is just like upgrading your PC.
The way crossplay has been handled in the past and now egregiously on Series X suggests the developers want to FORCE everyone into crossplay eventually.
Fair enough. If I had to guess, it might be that they just haven't figured it out. Crossplay is (relatively) new for DbD, and, well... BHVR takes years to figure things out. I'd hope they're trying, but who knows. I can only hope they figure it out sooner than later for you guys, cause that sucks.
-
With all the posts I've seen about this lately it seems like BHVR should really just add platform queues. I disagree with saying they're the same platform, they are different peices of machinery and thus different, but I don't see why BHVR can't have Series X and Xbone only queues, same thing with PS4 to PS5. If it's about the fact that the new consoles have better framerates, they wouldn't have allowed crossplay in the first place.
-
Simple answer, latency. On their screen, the killer is closer then they are on yours.
long answer, I don't have a single ######### clue. There have been times where I, as a killer will go "That shouldn'tve hit." You know it's bad when even on the killer's screen it's ######### up.

Might be just too strong. Legions power is very good at getting first hits. Then you have to M1 killer the survivor(s) down. Maybe pretty similar but also Victors really good against injured survivors too
That's a fair observation, but Legion can still injure multiple people very easily. The Twins have nothing like that, and the fact that Survivors can just take Victor with the downside of "Oh, Charlotte can see you after almost a minute of having no power." Just rubs me the wrong way. Idk, the Twins feel very, very underwhelming to me, which sucks. I like the fact that they're unique.

Nope. I got into just one match during that tome where one other survivor was running it, so I had 52m Bond. That was very nice.
You poor soul. Bond is one of my favorite survivor perks, and there was a game as killer I played where all four survivors had it. This was back during the tome. I was amazed, because I barely ever see that perk. Haven't seen it once since then.

I had this idea where Vigil could make any infinite Status Effect that isn't from Killer powers disappear in 60 or 90 seconds.
That would just make perks basically add-on tier. Honestly, I think Vigil should also just kinda lessen the impact of Status Effects slightly (if it can). Reduce the anti-healing of mangled, maybe slightly lessen how much you slow down when you have the hindered status effect (aside from killer powers, poor clown doesn't need that). That's just my two cents though.
-
Did you achieve your dream when everybody was running Ace's perks for his rift?
-
If anything, I feel like Distortion needs a way to earn tokens back. Unhooks, maybe staying in a killers TR, like Detectives Hunch and pebble.
As for a specific no aura when healing perk... I don't think there are any perks like this, I think they avoid giving a aura blocking perks to Survs that don't require a ton of work for some reason. Not sure why though.
General tips I would give you is heal near a pallet, and keep a look out for any stealth killers. Spine Chill is a great way to tell if a killer is headed for you, and it's pretty damn good perk in general.

-
I mean... I've seen posts like this before, and the answer is always the same - It'd be balancing hell. Either the Dev's themselves or the Mods have confirmed it's never happening. If it did, every single perk in the game would need be reworked. The game is balanced around 4 perks, not 5.
-
Wraith with Night Shroud. Useless? Absolutely.
But I will A S C E N D STEALTH
I will become a God of stealth, and never be seen again.
-
It's a double edged sword. I play Solo pretty much exclusively, and I have no idea how many times I've ran to a teammate to heal me and they just won't, no matter what you do.
If it's used by people in the corner of the map, who brute force their way through Sloppy then yes, I agree.
But it's also a great way to be independent because let's face it - half the time in Solo, your teammates are incompetent, if it's a last ditch effort kind of thing.
-
Well, in my opinion Ghostie is probably the best stealth killer in the game (Though, if we go by the stats, Pig performs better) and his playstyle can change up quite a bit. Very little in this game compares to stalking a survivor through a high-up window, slowly making your way closer. I love moments like that. But his reveal mechanic is kinda broken right now, which can feel unfair for both sides. He also has very, very little chase potential - the only thing he has is popping Night Shroud in a loop with a lotta LOS blockers.
Other than that, I find Oni great fun. He has a very strong chase and power with Bloodfury, but his early game is weak.
-
I mean, I play Wraith quite a bit. With Add-ons, I feel he's very competent.
But without add-ons he sucks and it makes me sad
-
All we can really do right now is wait until they rework them. It's gonna be even worse because of the "Kill x Survivor's by any means" challenged they keep putting in for some goddamn reason.
-
Well. kinda depends. As someone who plays Solo Queue, I my build is normally DH, Iron Will, and then DS, Spine Chill, Self-Care, and Bond are perks I cycle through depending on how I'm feeling.
-

On the actual topic, I think Whispers is a much better perk. Whispers is already a pretty damn good way to find Survivor's, and Spies is heavily reliant on not only the survivors, but Crow spawns.

I don't see a problem there. If a survivor is skilled enough to loop a killer near the hook area, they deserve that extra earned time from the perk. In order to loop someone, one must have pallets or windows nearby, both which can be exhausted and denied . If a killer is not skilled enough to exhaust those survivor resources before comaradire kicks in or goes on overtime, that's their problem, they simply need to work on their chasing skill. Such is the nature of the game.
That's fair, considering the loops currently are not nearly as bad as they used to be back then. I think this was when double pallets would spawn on like every other loop. Like I said, I have no idea why this wasn't implemented, it's entirely possible it was abused in a different way. Still, I really don't think Camaraderie is that good and this is a good change. Hell, all of Steve's perks could use reworks or buffs. That's coming from somebody who plays him exclusively on the Survivor side of things.
-
I'm not sure what the story is, but every time I've seen this suggested I've heard they had it in a PTB a long, long time ago and it was abused to hell and back by Survivors. Again, I'm not sure how, I wasn't around in the game back then. If I had to guess... What stops a Survivor from looping a killer in the range of the hook, and thus it activates Camaraderie? The killer isn't camping, but still punished. Even though I said that, I think with adjustments this should definitely be in the game.

@Foohy said:
Lol stirred up quite the crowd.
I never said it was OP, the conditions are very specific and not necessarily easy to accomplish, but you can plan ahead and just slug someone and wait for the exit gates to open.
And the "just exit before he hooks hurr durr", don't you dare tell me you go into every game and take into consideration that the killer might have Blood Warden, and don't you dare tell me that when the exit gates open you all just leave immediately every single time because you think the killer might have Blood Warden.
The perk is underwhelming on open maps as you can just hide somewhere, but on closed maps like Midwich and Hawkins it can be game over for the unsuspecting survivors because of how closed up and isolated from the rest of the map the exit gates are with very few options to actually go to before the killer gets to you.
Again not OP, just a lame and anti-fun perk for people who get bullied a lot.
Or... You know. Just leave. "Hurr durr." There is almost literally no reason to stay in the game once the gate's are opened, other than to waste the killer's time. If you were staying to try and help the last Survivor out, fine - but if the Killer kept slugging after you should've realized what they were doing. If I don't know what 4 perks the killer has, then yes - I will assume they have Blood Warden, especially if they are slugging a mysteriously long time. It's not that hard to figure out. This is a perk that punishes Survivor's for staying in the game for too long, not a perk that rewards bad Killers. Most Killers use this in memey end game builds, or for the "Kill x amount of Survivor's during the Endgame Collapse" challenges. Not "because they get bullied a lot."

Wraith. Love that Bing bong boi.

I think this is the far better choice then just removing it. It'll help those killers that have very little or nothing in terms of mobility, like Myers, Pig, Trapper, and help them actually catch up. But killers also won't be able to just mindlessly hold W and get downs because of it.

There needs to be some sort of trade off though for the gradually increasing distance to prevent lunge spam, or it being too oppressive on survivors during a chase.
If not for a longer missed attack cool down, what should the trade off be?
I was writing a response about how the effect isn't that great in the start of the game to warrant a downside, when I realized I was reading your idea wrong.
For some reason, I thought you meant the lunge would increase by 4% with every gen pop, making it stack to 16% at the endgame. Don't ask me why I thought this, I have no idea. I now realize what you meant.
Increasing the missed attack cooldown would be totally fine now that I understand what you meant.
-
It can kinda change depending on how you play, but some perks I like running on him are
Sloppy Butcher. Ghostface is really good at sneaking up on people, and as an M1 killer he hits people a lot. Every single one of his hits apply status effects, and since you're a Ghostface, people will want to heal against you. Sloppy Butcher is great to keep people off of gens, since most Survivor's will heal against a Ghostface.
Because of this, I also like Nurse's Calling too. Since Ghostie has such an easy access to his stealth ability, I've noticed it's incredibly easy to find people healing, and because you have no TR you can easily sneak up on people.
Whispers is always good, same with BBQ.
Corrupt is also pretty good, since he has no movement.
I also like Pop, but that's just because Pop is a good perk.
You could also always go with the standard Ruin & Undying, and that's probably just as good.
As for some more fun perks... STBFL. SInce Ghostface can just instadown the Obession with Night Shroud, I think STBFL is a little better on him then say, someone like Wraith or Pig. That's just my opinion though.
Haunted Grounds is pretty good on him, but that's just because he can find people pretty easy with his Stealth. Not as easy as someone like Wraith, but still decently well.
Also, Chewed Pen and Adress Book are his best add-ons, but everyone knows that already.
-
I would definitely prefer this to it's current form. As the base perk is, I really like that they're starting to mess around with mechanics like that, but it's also not very good.
I think the missed attack cooldown going up is a little much, but that's only because if the perk became like this I would 100% use it with STBFL, and that effect ruins what could be the memiest, funnest thing ever.
I also hope they keep it affecting secondary attacks like Demo's and Piggy's lunge, but as far as I've heard it was unintended. The sight of Demo sailing across the map is glorious.
-
I think they need to do more to make them good (I seriously don't get why Charlotte can't see the Survivor Victor is on at base, it'd do so much to help them) but it's a step in the right direction. The timer on when Charlotte see's VIctor on a Survivor needs to be reduced to 30 seconds, imo. The nerfs were pointless, and I seriously can't see how they never thought about the locker things, but I'm glad they're addressing it. Other than that... Eh? She might be the first killer I buy just to get the perks, unless they do more to make her better. As right now... I don't know, I don't see her being very good. Despite that, I honestly hope the humdrum response this chapter has gotten so far doesn't stop them from making more unique killers like this. I like when a killer is unique.
-
Here's the thing, this Ghostface is not the Scream Ghostface. He is an orignal killer, named Danny Johnson/Jed Olsen. He's a serial killer that stalks his victims, so that he can make the news about him in his job as a Journalist. This would make sense if he was from a Scream chapter, but he isn't. His current power fits into his lore. Giving him items, and a power, that are more similar to the Scream movies wouldn't make sense, because he has nothing to do with the Scream movies.
Yes, it is true that his power is similar to Myers, but at this point he's probably even better. Myers can only stalk a survivor for so much, Ghostface can, theoretically, infinitely stalk survivors.
As for the actual idea... It's decent. He'd be a much more unique killer. Prank Call would be far too powerful - it completely elimates everything a Survivor can do unless they answer the phone, which still puts them at a severe disadvantage. It's a lose-lose situation for the Survivor. Either be able to do nothing but walk and vault for 30 seconds, or answer and have the possibility of being stalked.
Speaking of Stalk, it's just his current ability and made better with the caveat of having to make a Survivor answer the phone. But the thing is, they would almost always answer the phone. The only counterplay is to reveal Ghostface, which seems a bit too hard to do. From what I'm reading, Ghostface can stalk and Expose them no matter what, unless they see you which quite frankly is going to be very easy to do. The Ghostface can just hide while they answer, and bam, instant down. If they answer and they don't see you, you can expose them. If you hit them while their phone is ringing, you can expose them. If you don't hit them while their phone was ringing, you can expose them. It leaves very, very little for the survivor to do to not be exposed. The penalty for being revealed is not really that much. He turns into a basic M1 killer for 6 seconds. That is not a long time at all.
The Add-ons are decently thought out, and it's clear you put a lot of effort into this. The idea isn't bad, it just needs some touch ups. The Ghostface we have isn't going anywhere. He's high mid-tier at best, and has the unfortunate stigma of his players being toxic, but as he is he's fine. The only change he needs is fixing his reveal mechanic to be more consistent for both sides. Other than that, he is a perfectly fine killer. Still, keep putting out ideas like this, they're definitely decent.

A lot of survivor may complain alot about being able to see the red stain. So to give the choice to mindgame or chase normally .With the 35% Meter Back youll probally see them use it alot during chases aswell
I'm not sure what you mean here, but if you're saying that survivor's complain about not being able to see the red stain, they complain about everything. Ghostface is a STEALTH killer. Making him move slower in his ability makes absolutely no sense, other than making him slightly easier to go against for Survivors. Most Ghostface's will start Night Shroud immediately, even when out of a chase - making him 110 for no reason would gut what little movement speed he has. There is no reason for this change. Ghostface is not a entirely strong killer, all he has is his stealth. The only chase mecanic he has is the loss of the red stain, something that can be taken away entirely easy. If he attacks at all, stunned, or if Survivors just look at him long enough the one thing he has in chase is taken away. Making him 110 in Night Shroud would ruin him. There is no need for it.
Honestly, the only change Ghostface needs is making his detection not so janky.

the first two are basically the biggest issue with his addon dependency. All of his addons are designed to take individual aspects of his from unacceptable to varying degrees between acceptable to good. That means that, at best, he has to pick two aspects to not suck at. Compare this with other killer addon, which work more like the bell addons, in that they make changes to how the power works to make them less predictable unless the survivor recognizes the difference and adapts. Having to sacrifice an addon to have something not suck will always feel awful, especially since it in turn feels extremely limiting to variety. Too many wraith players feel like windstorm addons are mandatory because, well, they certainly feel like it most of the time.
The shimmer is incredibly outdated, and should work like freddy's proximity invisibility, I agree. Having it be visible nearby is fine, but there is abolutely no reason you should be able to see an "invisible" killer on the other side of the map. Hell, his shimmer can be more visually recognizable than a blendette sometimes, even from a distance.
His bing bong is part of his identity, and as much as I would love to see it go, I couldn't see it happening. tbh they should instead lessen his speed penalty when uncloaking, the lunge is fine but the distance he loses while decloaking often leads to a pallet or window making that speed burst useless (unless he can body block them first.)
He has no way to use his ability in chase, and between spirit and now blight its become abundantly clear that his power is also useless for closing the gap between loops. His hit and run playstyle feels like the only way to play him right now, and ballsy survivors still can stomp that easily since the time just isn't there.
Like you mentioned, as someone who plays Wraith a lot I feel like I need windstorm. Otherwise, he just feels much too slow. Like, yes, he moves at 130% while cloaked, that's still pretty slow for getting across the huge maps we currently have. And since you're going to spend a fairly large amount of time in your cloak, it needs to be better. Especially since you can't do a lot with it. Shadow Dance is just something that makes Cloak a little less unbearable to use sometimes, and it's really fun to use with a pallet breaker build with Serpent.
I've always wondered Freddy, somebody who isn't even a Stealth Killer in his current form, is invisible but Wraith - the OG stealth killer in the game doesn't.
Bone Clapper is just the one that makes it hard to tell where it's coming from. Coxcombed is the one that completely nullifies it. I could never imagine the Bing Bong Boi without his Bing Bong.
Honestly, bodyblocking is sometimes the only thing I feel I can do as Wraith. Out of almost the entire cast, I'd say he's almost the best at getting the first hit in, but after that he suffers so, so much. He has absolutely nothing after that. I would love to see them do something more to give him better chase potential, aside from his super ultra lunge.

"Shadow Dances" also make him open Lockers faster btw, not that that aspect of the Add-ons matters at all.
I say no to "Windstorm" - Mud at base, cause that means his awesome super-lunge is permanently impeded.
Only the faster movement speed from that Add-on please.
A slight "Shadow Dance" at base doesn't sound appealing at all to me.
The Add-ons shine in your regular anti-Pallet meme builds, but it's downright crippling at points where they could otherwise make a difference.
But a small "Shadow Dance" at base...It's something, i guess?
Completely invisible from X distance, of course, this should 1000000% happen once the devs want to work on him.
And hey, finally someone else who acknowledges how horrid Blood Lodge is for him, even the basic Wreckers' Yard is better cause of the Shack in the middle.
I know many like Bone Clapper, and it's not like i don't, but i like that i currently have the option to choose between the two.
Idk, wouldn't be against it being a thing i suppose.
"Blinks" are the Add-ons that mostly need a change.
Maybe they can decrease the range from which you can see Wraith's shimmer even further?
Y'know, like: "Don't Blink, or you'll miss him!"
The concept of "Swift Hunts" is totally okay, but they're way too weak if you look at the numbers, all 3 can easily have their values be increased by 1.5 without making Wraith OP.
I still have my beef with "Blind Warrior" - Mud, but that's Blindness' problem, not Wraith's.
I also still like my own idea of "The Serpent" - Soot increasing your movement speed during your post-cloak, allowing for even further super-lunges.
"The Beast" - Soot is...fine.
I mean of course i'd rather have an Add-on with actual use, but...fine. shrugs
"The Hound" - Soot is weak, and i have no idea what i want with it.
Killer Instinct on Injured Survivors while cloaked maybe?
And then just like Executioner, you can avoid Wraith's KI by crouching.
But that's something i made up just now, i just don't care for current "The Hound".
Oh, and he really needs to quiet down while cloaked, he's already got the Wailing Bell as an early betrayal.
He can keep his loud snarling & footsteps all he wants while uncloaked, but it's hard to call him a stealth Killer when you can hear him go past you like GNARL GNARL STOMP STOMP! 😅
Yeah, that was my fault - I meant only the movement speed part of Windstorm, not the Slowdown. My brain just doesn't let me remember the little details sometimes. Those super-lunges are 100% one of the best things about Wraith. I know Coupe De Grace doesn't affect speed, but if it did....
My idea for Shadow-Dance is pretty much like you said. It's just... There. Just a little QoL idea. I like the idea @GoodBoyKaru had, buffing the add-ons to have a lingering effect after he uncloaks for a short time. But right now, I only use Shadow Dance with Serpent for meme builds.
There are times I seriously wonder how I can ever trap people in corners as Wraith. He's just really easy to see in some maps. I hope the Dev's touch on him at least a little bit soon.
I've never used Blink, because I don't see why I would. His cloaking speed is already fast enough. The only reason I could ever see myself using them is to walk around Binging my bell the entire game.
It's more or less the same thing with Swift Hunt. I like the idea, and I get they may be a little nervous to make his uncloaking too fast, but the difference is minimal.
Bone Clapper is just another kinda throw-away, QoL idea. I like the idea of Wraith having that presence all over the map.
Blind Warrior is there. It's an add-on that exists.
That's a pretty good idea for Serpent, though I will miss the stupid meme builds you can pull with it. Even if they barely work sometimes.
I've never understood the point of having the "nerf the killers power for more BP" add-ons. The BP is barely ever worth it.
That could definitely be an option for Hound. Maybe it could increase the volume of foot-steps, grunts of pain, things like that while your cloaked, just to make tracking easier? That's definitely a half baked idea though.
On the topic of the noises he makes, am I the only one that get's jumpscared when ever he get's stunned? That damn "A̟̲̣̯̞̬̟̟̽̒́́̇̽̌̏̐̈Ë̬̖̲̲́͌̌̌̎̈́͂Ù͓̪͍̘̭̝͙̠̭̋̀̒̾͆͒G͓̦̗̘̮̲̬̖͔͖̽͌̋̓̾͋̈̚ͅH̝̭̟̠͖̔͋̊͑͊̇̿̋̍" gets me every time.
