What is this 'Cross Progress' feature please ? I don't get it...
Cross Progression is a game feature some games have in which you can share your progression across multiple copies of the games, from across platforms.
Say you were Devotion 3, Level 17 on PS4 but Devotion 1, Level 2 on PC.
Cross Progression would allow you to transfer your PS4 data to your PC, or with any other system.

I hate this site so much.
Whataboutism and bias- The entirety of this forum.
For the record, I agree. I think NOED is an issue and the statement "Just do bones" is the same as "Just pressure gens lol"
-
I find it peak DBD forums that the first two responses are literally "NOED is fine."
-
I would love for a game health chapter, along with some sort of an event. The issue is, BHVR has no reason to do this as long as people keep buying cosmetics for the game.
The boycott went nowhere. The game peaked during the Resident Evil chapter. As much as I want this kind of chapter, but unless people show they want it through their wallets, it won't happen.
-
Yes. Trickster's power is strong out in the open. Just like every killer power in the game, with the exception of the trap killers.
In general, high wall loops counter trickster the most. Also, just, do gens as fast as you can. BHVR made the worst possible decision when buffing him by making him downright impressive in 1v1 while giving him probably the worst map pressure in the game, next to Deathslinger.
-
"Corporate shills" apparently equals "People that don't agree with me" in your mind.
-
No, I think he's definitely better, and I'm gonna be honest, I find Trapper and Myers way worse. Downing people with Trickster is incredibly easy most of the time. He's not the best, but I don't think he's anywhere near the worst anymore.
-
The deep wounds add-on might counter that though, considering you can't walk while in deep wounds or go down. I don't know.
-
Oh, it's actually pretty simple-
If when you play as killer, you bring any perks or add-ons, you are a tryhard.
As survivor, if you bring any perks or items, you a tryhard.
And you're super sweaty if you win. Hope this helps!
-
But the last time I booped a Piggies snoot she betrayed me :(

I thought the crooked man spin off already happened.
yeah there's a 2016 movie called the crooked man
is there another crooked man spin-off
That was made by like a no-budget company if I remember right, just capitalizing off the success the Conjuring. As far as I am aware, the 'conjuring universe' version of Crooked Man hasn't come out
-
Thank you :)
-
I don't agree with it.
the nurse has hair, as seen in her other cosmetics >:(

Javier Botet is an amazing creature actor
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2445890#Comment_2445890
it was but they wouldn't have to use the conjuring two especially because his appearance doesn't really change throughout history.
He really is. The poor guy doesn't get as much recognition as he deserves, mainly because he's always in make-up, but he's ######### amazing.
And I'm not really sure. Warner Bros. has been talking about a Crooked Man film ever since the second Conjuring came out, so they have licensed the name. Don't get me wrong, I would love a Conjuring chapter, I'm just curious as to whether or not BHVR would take from a series so tied to religion. I know that's a very sore subject for a lot of people.

I think it's dumb to negotiate a contract in which we can lose a map.
Many people paid for that DLC and we shouldn't lose content we paid for.
I think BHVR should take this experience as a lesson. If we negotiate for licensed content, we should be able to keep the content we paid for.
I understand losing or not renewing for future content but, the stuff we have should be locked in.
This is the first license in which we've actually lost, and I'm sure BHVR never imagined losing it.
Besides, we never really paid for Hawkins. Anyone who plays the game has access to it. The stuff you did pay for is not being taken away.

Well the crooked man didn't originate in the conjuring. He's like a folktale
True, but this comment is specifically asking for the Crooked Man from The Conjuring. The Conuring was no doubt a massive boost to the character's popularity.

@DwarvenTavern said:
I am in favor of this. The Crooked man seems such like a good concept. I never watched the movie unfortunately, but I've seen his clips and oh my god yes.
The best part of the Crooked Man is he was mostly practical. Some of the shots were obviously CG, but if I remember right that scene where he stalks down that little girl is mostly practical. I actually recommend the first two Conjuring films, I thought they were pretty damn decent.
-
I'm genuinely curious as to whether or not BHVR would actually do a Conjuring-themed chapter, either with the Crooked Man or the Nun. The reason I'm not sure is it's heavy religious ties and themes. So far, BHVR has seemed to avoid any ties with any sort of living religion.

lol, no it's still a thing. I play on PS4 and when she throws a hatchet, the game freezes. It's kind of exciting though! You get to wonder for a second what's going to have happened when you get back!
Kind of like a little mystery mini-game! What fun!
-
I don't know if this is still the case, but back before my PS4 broke and I moved to PC, my game lagged hard whenever I was hit by one of Huntress's hatchets. It's been a long while since I've played on PS4 now though, so maybe that was one of the, like, five things that got fixed.

He has overheat mechanic now. Speed add-ons are harder to use Pig and demo have not speed add-ons.
When I say "dash", I mean sprint and I should have said that. That's my bad. The killers that have some sort of way of getting across the map quickly.
Billy, Wraith, Spirit, Bubba, Oni, and Blight all have speed add-ons. They never stopped giving killers speed add-ons.

i know people enjoy blight, i just don't. Never have since his release, made worse with how many people currently play him with the dumb slowdown tinkerer build.
Multiple slowdown stacking is a whole different issue which will never get addressed because i've actively seen people on this forum defend a full 4 slowdown loadout to counter the mystical death squad swf and still lose with it. I'd love them to put a cap on slowdown stacking.
Slowdown stacking won't be addressed because it's clear from what they've said that they value player agency.
If they ever made some sort of competitive queue I can see them doing that, but as what the game is now, it will never happen.

@landromat said:
Speed add-ons should go. I thought devs took their lesson from billies add-ons. As well as his ability to hit around obstacles
Billy still has his speed add-ons though, and every single killer with some sort of dashing power has speed add-ons. I'm not sure how one would ever think they ever 'learned their lesson'.
-
@miketheratguy said:
I faced a Billy today. A BILLY! I was excited until I noticed something: After I'd been killed and was spectating, I noticed that he had no perks at all. No addons either. Not even an offering. Just a blank bar in the scoreboard. The survivors all had stuff but Billy was totally empty.
It was strange then when he somehow managed to activate corrupt intervention.
Then, after the match, I looked again and now his bar suddenly showed several perks. Even so, none of them were corrupt intervention.
Am I missing something here?
Dead survivors can't see the killer's load out until the game is over. They used to, but it was changed since dead Survivors would tell their teammates what perks the killer had, either from being in a SWF or literally just messaging the other survivors.
He probably had Thrilling Tremors if the Entity blocked showed up on the gens late into the game.

I don't think it's a valid complaint at all, so sure, I guess I'm a dick.
Killers can see what survivors bring into the game ahead of time, but survivors shouldn't be allowed to switch their items? Are you actually kidding me? Do you want the devs to just hold your hands? Load into the game and just have evert survivor die? Not everything is about screwing killers over, even though you all seem to think it is.
Again, your being needlessly agressive. I, nor the OP, never said survivors shouldn't be allowed to switch at all. Only that they shouldn't be allowed to switch at the very last second. You seem to think that any sort of complaint towards Survivor is somebody who just wants everything handed to them.
Nobody said that. At least, not that I have read. You're just pointing fingers at anyone who disagrees with you and calling them bad. People are allowed to complain about this just as much as they are about something like camping.
-
The shock has to be properly timed to do anything, and I'm pretty sure latency can affect it too. If it's not timed right, it doesn't do much.
-
I have very limited knowledge on Death Note, but I'm not sure how it would work. The dude just writes in a book to kill people, right? That is admittedly a hard concept to translate.
Unless they made the creepy god thing the killer, but I'm not sure that would reflect the source material enough. I don't know, I barely know said source material sonic can't say.
-
"learn some perks that require skill"
yeah, because perks are definitely the skillful part of this game
-
@meatisadelicacy said:
LOL
Survivors just shouldn't be allowed to bring in anything ever. Would that make you happy?
That isn't what they said at all though? I'm pretty sure the lobby was designed so the killer could prepare. So yeah, it feels pretty unfair when they switch at the last second giving you no time to prepare.
They have a pretty valid complaint.
-
If I remember right, doing the 'emotes' count as actions. The pointing and waving.
Or, at least they used to, I'm not sure if they still do.
-
With the current roster of Hex perks, no. Other than Third Seal. I'm definitely interested in seeing more Hexes like this, though.
-
I'd be very fine with deleting both these perks, thanks.

I think the OP's point is more, if they are unwilling to answer the question then why on earth did they bring it up in their own FAQ? Seems kind of nonsensical.
Because if exactly the reasons I said? They were going to get complaints no matter what they did. Maybe they just determined the fallout would be the least serious if they answered to the best if their ability, for whatever reason.
-
If they didn't include it, people would complain.
They did include it, people are still complaining.
No matter what they did here, people would complain about the answer (or the lack of one).

so the game sucks without famous titles?
No-- But the game is known because it has licenses. This game wouldn't be nearly as popular without Myers, Leatherface-- All of them.
-
Well, these three look like very distinguished and polite folk so I just can't ignore them. Even if the kitty's got a bit of road rage.
For now, DbD stays in my steam library.
I wonder how long until I regret that decision

People don't wish to discuss it but then respond to it with only negative answers keeping it alive.
Sometimes doing nothing is the best answer
People react negatively because it's been spammed and brought up so much.
That won't stop. It's always going to be a cycle. The only way to stop it is to stop posting about FNaF, or until the Dev's either make a FNaF chapter or confirm they won't do one.

When you do the same thing and expect different results.
But this is a question. Not a statement. A question for the people who say it can never be in the game.
But you are doing the same thing, over and over again.
Clearly, people DO NOT want to discuss FNaF on the forum. People are tired of it. People don't like it being brought up every chapter release.
These discussions aren't helping anything- In fact, you're probably making it worse. These topics only enforce people's dislike of the series. Before I came to this forum, I didn't care for Springtrap one way or another.
He's been spammed so much I sincerely hope he doesn't get in. If you want FNaF in, fine, whatever-- Just please, stop talking about it. You are making it worse.
-
If I see anybody, in favor of FNaF or not, mention it or Springtrap again I'm gonna delete DbD forever i swear to god

Same here. I never see it in any games, at all.
The only times I typically see Soul Guard is for Adept Cheryl. That's it.
-
I haven't seen Soul Guard genuinely used in a long while, nor seen any hate for it.
-
Dead Dawg Saloon is currently disabled. That's why it failed.
-
Yeah, ancient history.
Like the latest Halloween movie, which came out in 2018 and has a sequel coming out.
Or The Saw franchise, which had a movie come out this year, and first movie was in 2004.
Or the TCM franchise, whose last movie was in 2017.
Or Ghostface, (who isn't even attached to Scream so it barely counts, but if you want to include it a fifth movie is coming out eventually)
Or Freddy, who is from the 2011 remake.
Or Nemesis, who is from the 2020 remake from a series that had a huge release this year.
Or the Demogorgon who, in your words, isn't iconic who came out in 2016. Though, that makes you a hypocrite, as you yourself said "They are iconic to others."
-
So, more time doing the most boring part of the game?
Like Clevite said, the problem is not gen times. Imo, it's the maps and lack of regression without running perks.
-
Since they admitted it freely in chat, yes, I think that would count. I'm not sure though, you'd have to ask one of the mods.
-
Only real gamers play DbD on the 3DS
