Nah, nothing could be as bad as original Skull Merchant lol The Ghoul needs some tweaking for sure but I think he will end up more like Wesker - not too complicated to play/pick up, gets good results, and therefore will always have a decent pickrate. What gave SM a bad rep was that trolls were purposely playing her in order to lock games down until the game was forced to close after an hour. Their goal was literally to force an extremely unpleasant game on you. Obviously not all SMs, but enough that it soured her reputation.

Really boils down to the map, Red forest has about 2 crow spawns in general on each map, Eyrie Of Crows, Ormond, Badham, Garden Of Joy and Coldwind has some but barely (about 5 spawns), Backwater Swamp only has them on the edges of the map. They really need to sit down and up these.
If you really want to knock it out fast go to an indoor map, they have a decent amount that you can knock out the challenge in one match by playing normally OR play Deathslinger since he can scare crows up to 20m away whenever he shoots.
Good to know, thanks! I've managed to complete it in that third game but I'll keep that in mind for next time

You get like no points on survivor but all the points on killer.
But the only side that actually has any mechanics (the gas cans) gives you dog water points.
I dont get itI haven't played killer yet, I'm still on that crow challenge third game in (I swear they dropped the number of crows or something??), but I have noticed my bp gain is pretty meh lol i thought the blood gens would give heaps but nope. But the rewards look cool so at least there's that
-
He's got such a good sense of humour
-
Had a team mate with an Invocation perk earlier. The killer had BBQ and yet opted to ignore them in the basement, I'm guessing because he knew they were better off in there than on a gen. He started chasing another team mate and she ran him right into basement to rat out the Invocation user. The situation amused me because it showed just how much these perks are killer perks in disguise - the team mate was annoyed it was in use, while the killer was totally fine with it in use lol personally, I'd drop it from your build.

Four survivors can't decide to get downed "on command"? Okay, say you're playing Killer and all four survivors run right up to you and just start throwing the match, not doing anything but following you around tbagging or whatever. What do you do? You down them all. Now they've all DC'd. If a SWF was only interested in bullying, farming clips, or just didn't want to play against any strong/annoying killer, that's all they have to do. Whats the Killer gonna do? Not down them? At that point, you're the one giving them a free win.
And regarding everyone here who seems to thing that my big issue is I don't get to gloat over doing a funny animation, if I wanted to force people to watch Moris, I would just bring an actual mori, not use the Finisher. These people who instantly abandon the game the second they've "lost" have bigger ego issues than i ever will. The plus side in this scenario is that the killer also gets the option to abandon game. Once all 4 survivors are bots, you can leave too without penalty.
-
Is it important for the survivor to see the mori? Once you've seen it once or twice does it not get kind of boring?

Dwight supremacy? 🤔😉
Favouritism 😮💨
-
Probably a bot and they didn't set the Abandon system up correctly to accommodate the undercover bots
-
When it got nerfed people barely used it anymore, so alot of players were happy. It's a decent perk against the Ghoul because he puts you in Deep Wound frequently so it's getting alot of usage again. I guess those same players are unhappy.
-
Hasn't been my experience thankfully. I've played quite a bit over the last few days but only had 2 team mates let go on hook and no DCs.
-
I'll wait until I try it out before deciding how good or bad it is. If it's bad, I'll just play for the rewards and leave it at that.

Mine came through ok. It let me go over the two million BP cap too.
Wonder why mine didn't :(
-
Were you already at the 2 million bp cap by chance? I had around 1.6 million and it only gave me the additional 400k or so to reach 2 million. I figured being a promo that it would go over the cap but apparently not..
-
I'm still able to search in customisation
-
Lights Out feedback was overwhelmingly negative. Plus they have limited bandwidth for updates, so with the survivor chapter and PTB coming, plus any additional changes, I can see why they opted for the easiest mode.
-
Yes but thankfully it's been very minimal. Seems to happen at the worst time though of course lol

Being a soloq survivor has been kind of a bizarre experience tonight. Multiple times, if I got hooked one single time my teammates would just let me hang there until I became death hook, and that's not something I usually experience at my MMR. It's like they're terrified to come back to unhook me and would rather sit on gens or hide in a locker until I'm actually on death hook. Either my mmr has miraculously died and I'm playing with people who just started playing five minutes ago or there's some kind of extreme tunneling going on after this new patch and absolutely nobody wants to risk a "back to hook Harry" if they try and unhook me. Wierd.
You and I must be getting the same team mates as this has been my experience today. I've been left on hook to second stage or even death way too many times. Tunnelling hasn't been an issue thankfully.
-
I've only played two games against him and he seems fine so far

2nd question, which they probably didn't talk about.
Are you forced to automatically "claim" them after completing them? Or can you save them up like we do now where you can get some bonus BPs for when the new content comes out?
Someone can correct me if I missed it, but I didn't hear them mention if the rewards are automatically claimed. I did see alot of people asking this question though in chat, and the assumption was that you could no longer save. Hopefully Mandy can clarify for us. The old Tomes will still be the same set-up though, so new players or those who haven't completed them can still save.

I see the thing there saying "Week 1" what if the next week happens, do those quests disappear? If so i am extremely sad by that, the one thing DBD had going for it in terms of the concept of a "battle pass" was that i wasn't forced to log in every day to complete challenges. I could take a break and not feel like i was missing out.
They don't disappear 😊 they remain for the entirety of the Rift, so you can complete them at any point within the time frame.
And the old Tomes are still accessible too, for anyone wondering. Though they did say "available for awhile" which alot of folks in the chat seemed to catch, but it's very possible there's no meaning to that comment.
-
Towards the bottom of the Patch Notes it has PTB Adjustments, including changes to The Ghoul
-
Agree, I was pretty excited about this too. Being able to complete more than one quest in a game is crazy efficient and much needed. Especially when it comes to escape quests lol I took some screenshots for those who didn't tune in
Dailies having rift fragments is a nice update too

"Do you think my observations, with anonymous mode off, are in alignment with your experience?"
Not particularly
"How often are you exposed to hate, anger and frustration if you play without anonymous mode on?"
I play on PS5 and have had no real issues with this, fortunately.
"It is more likely to assume there was a chain of interconnected events that frustrated the player to express anger. What tools could we give to a players to reduce the anger of another player, or circumvent additional anger from being generated? To prevent the balloon from expanding? Our goal here should be to emotionally get to the point"
This requires time and emotional labour, and IMO not worth it. The sequence of events that lead to someone being unable to manage their emotions is outside of my control. What they choose to do is outside of my control. The only thing within my control is what I choose to do, and in a situation like this I'd choose to ignore them.
"How else can I change someone's belief in DBD without making myself a victim of someone else's wrath?"
There's a very good chance they're not open to changing their beliefs, and they're simply looking for a verbal punchingbag. So, I guess you can try and reason with them but as above, it's at the cost of your time and emotional labour. Not something I'd be invested in personally, but if you're up for the task then go for it lol
-
Not for me, but I think he looks great and I'm looking forward to playing against him
-
Was considering posting this topic myself lol it resets to Hot but I'd rather be able to set to New permanently so I don't miss out on the latest news

for those of you who are holding out hope that this will stop with the go next prevention: Go next prevention isn't going to stop survivors from going next. Its going to force survivors to evolve the ways in which they go next in order to not trigger the penalty. Any system that BHVR comes up with will have workarounds. I dont think this is an argument to do nothing. At the same time though, I dont think people should pretend that this entitled attitude where the second something doesn't go someone's way they ruin the game and give up is going anywhere.
This is true for most stuff though. Very rarely can you stop something completely, best bet is to disincentivise it. People will always find ways around stuff, it's human nature.
-
I'm not fussed by them, I think they're fine. Unless I go back and look at my comments, which I have no reason to do, I don't even see them.

@ChuckingWong said:
One match a Sable (of course) decided to kill hers self on hook and the other two survivors just threw themselves at the killer.
I mean the other two probably want a fair match. And when you are 3v1 because someone gave up early, what do you expect?
Agreed. Be frustrated at the first person who gives up for sure, but after that I don't care what the rest of my team mates choose to do.
And before someone says "it's still possible to win with 3," I'm aware, because I always stick around anyway. But I don't blame the other two if they choose to opt out.
-
The bubble popped up a couple years ago and people have been asking why ever since. It'd be great if they removed it but I wouldn't hold my breath.
-
Comments in chat are one of those things you don't need to supply evidence of when reporting. The devs can access the chatlogs on their end. So be sure to report in-game any comments like that as it's easy enough for the devs to see and take action.
-
Agree with Corrupt, but on survivor side it's We'll Make It imo
-
People used to question this for years and I never understood it because alot of content creators would usually only play during streaming time and once upon a time you could see player level and Devotion level on their lobby page to confirm this. You could see there was little to no change in player level between streams, indicating that they weren't playing and therefore weren't purposely tanking. Because your player level would still move even if you were playing badly.
So, while possible, I didn't see any evidence that this was the case and even though those levels are no longer shown in lobby/to viewers, I can't see why they'd all start tanking their games off-line now when they never needed to before.
-
I think it sounds promising. Reserving judgement until I see how she plays out on the PTB
-
This sounds promising imo. Her kit was very overwhelming and this makes it more straightforward.
-
No. It's why I only play for events or the Rift - it's easier to put up with solo queue if I know I'm getting rewarded for my time.
-
Great deal! I enjoyed it myself, wish it was just a bit longer
-
We've got so many perks in the game that I think it's simply a case of them not knowing what else to give us anymore. I do think this perk at least will give some value when against pre-dropping, which is a common complaint in this game.
-
Everything is going as it's all tied to the license. Perks will remain as general perks but will have a name change, but that's all that's staying.
-

Well, a base Corrupt for totems could be nice. Kind of like that Dracula perk, or does that only block chests?
Works on totems too
-
There are limitations to the game. All killers will have a degree of overlap.
-
Janes have been fine in my games with the exception of one where a Meg let go on hook and the two Janes befriended the killer and helped kill me. I still gave the three of them a run for their money and both gens completed were mine and I walked away with the most bp. So I actually feel like I won lol
-
Today was hands down the single worst day of DBD I think I've ever had in my 4+ years of playing. I played 6 survivor games, and in only 1 did I get over 10k bp (got 13k) and a pip. I'm leaving on holiday on Friday so my plan was to smash out page 3 of the current tome but I couldn't, I had to close the game after my 6th match. Even that was longer than I should have played for tbh.
So just wanted to say that you're not alone today. And if anyone uses WoO can you share if I was just imagining that there are even less pallets than before?? I don't use that perk and did not want to play another match to check
-
Thank you! Always appreciate these
-
I haven't used an exhaustion perk in a long time but my favourite will always be Overcome. Maybe not as useful as alot of the others but it just felt good. Synergises well with Lucky Break and Bite the Bullet too to confuse tf out of the poor killer.
-
That's the hard thing about PTB when a new killer is released - everyone wants to play against the new killer, not an old one. Even if the old one has some changes they're still not as enticing as a new killer. Best bet would be to do custom games against bots to test out Xenos changes.
-
@Zakon05 said:
A considerable amount of the killer's power being held up by a glitch which only PC players can pull off was not a good idea. And even among PC players, it was only really usable by people who put a lot of time and effort into playing this one killer.
I'm glad they're fixing it so they can potentially buff him if he starts underperforming.
This. In the long term it's better. Close the gap between PC and console and then strengthen him in a way every Oni player can benefit from.

Past a certain point, I stopped having Killer anxiety.
For me, and I do play Killer fairly often, I realized that I quite literally have no reason to actually justify bashing myself for not performing well. DBD is a game, and I spent a long time it taking insanely seriously where I had to win every single game. Eventually I just kind of stopped, I set small goals for myself, stuff I know I could do or work towards, and nothing extreme, and it's helped a lot, I would highly recommend it. Winning stopped being important to me, and with it, the game became more relaxing, since I could just play on my own terms, and play however I wanted to.
Finally, I also just kind of stopped caring about what people think of me, sometimes you just make people upset, and it's not a matter of you doing anything wrong, some people want to be upset and want to use other people as a punching bag. I have a lot of +rep and -rep, Ive had good and awful things said to me, past a certain point you remember more of the positive experiences than awful experiences, at least for me it did.
None of this is to discount Killer anxiety, but just to say that things can, and often do, get better as time goes on. For some people, it is a steadily progression, for me, things just clicked right into place, it's not an easy process to get into but it is possible.
"I also just kind of stopped caring about what people think of me, sometimes you just make people upset, and it's not a matter of you doing anything wrong, some people want to be upset and want to use other people as a punching bag"
This here is the key. It could simply be my age (I'm an older millennial) but once you reach the point of no longer caring what people think, things become a lot easier. The people I play with and against don't know me from a bar of soap. I'm nobody. They've forgotten about me once they start thinking about what to make for dinner, and they're unlikely to ever think about me again.
