Thanks and also don't think that's the reason since in the video with Matt and Slenderman it was explained that reason why he was not ingame was because he had no way to attack survivors. Based on the live feed it was using the old hud which was changed somewhere before February and March which is also before Pinhead.
Reason why Pinhead fits in this is because he had no way to attack people based on his films but the devs were able to make Pinhead attack survivors with chains coming out of portals. This part is important because Slenderman has shadow tentacles coming out of his back which is used to grab/attack people. Since that argument was made before Pinhead was made into a killer with a non-contact attack, this means now Slenderman can be a possible killer because the main reason why he was not ingame is now broken because of Pin head.

Also, just saying, Slenderman had a (bad) movie, so I'm not entirely sure, but licensing might be required to add him to the game.
Yeah some of the craze was....unwanted. I mostly just liked the horror that came from it rather than the "Memey Slender vs Gaster" stuff.
Also Slenderman movie was a cash grab of a wonderful concept turned into a joke. Blum House studios would have done a better job at making the Movie. I would prefer Slenderman from Blue Isle Slender games to be the best presentation to introduce Slenderman to others.
About Licensing Devs can try to get Blue Isle's Slenderman version since 2019 no one really knows who owns him so why not try get the best version of Slenderman out there.

I wrote a 10-odd page dissertation about Slendy as a depression thinkpiece in my early 20s, based on the evolution of the character. Added even more to that over the years. Something about the concept can really suck some of us in, you know?
Again, I'd really like to see something do this character justice.
About now your writings will be the size of a english dictionary if you continued writing it.
Agree about how the concept can suck you into it. Like H.P. Lovecraft once said "The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown" and that describes Slenderman 100% because he is the unknown which is what makes him so interesting.
Also yeah Slenderman needs some Justice from the crap that happened to him....mostly for that unholy and awful movie that had nothing remotely close to what Slenderman is.

Also forgot to mention that Mythology Entertainment in 2019 was splitting up and the rights to Slenderman would be unknown....so kinda unsure who actually owns him now which might be a good thing since there is a possibility we won't get Sony's Slenderman.

Still think Slenderman has a shot though since one reason said by one of the devs why he is not ingame is because he never interacts or touches people which will make him hard to attack survivors which was about 7 months ago [since stream used old hud] in a Fog Whisper stream interview but Pin head breaks this reason because Pin Head uses chains to avoid touching survivors 90% of the time and this can be same thing for Slenderman with his tentacles.
Also The Thing might not be able to be ingame.

I still say yes.
Devs did not say no to a Slenderman chapter and so far only reason they given as why he has not been ingame is because they are deciding how he would attack since in the games he never touches people.
So a Slenderman Chapter is highly possible actually since he does have Tentacles and they can have his animations similar to Pin Head with Chains.
In a nutshell, everyone saying the same generic reason on why Slenderman is not in DBD is not the real reason and way far from it.
Developers want to respect Slenderman by figuring out some way how he would act in Dead by Daylight and why The Entity would grab him.
[Ps BHVR would do a better job with Slenderman IP then Sony ever could.]

Original creators can claim copyright infringement over the designs, calling the character Slenderman gets a claim from Blumhouse, but calling it Slender gets one from the game maker, it's a minefield of potential lawsuits and would be a very risky addition for a character where original would be better since there's absolutely zero power that can be gleaned from the non-existent canon
Well....sorta.
Its actually owned by Sony and/or Eric the creator.
Sony owns the Media rights so if someone wants to use him in a video game or something they gotta speak with Sony.
Quite possible we can get the Video game version though.

Tbh lot killers do that when they don't want survivors to even play the game.
Had a popular content guy slug me and my friends even though we did not even do anything.
Once in match Huntress would down a person and slug.
Then if they were picked up, they would slug them again and go for the healthy. Happened for a long time and they finally slugged all of us.
Only hooked 1 person and left rest of us to bleed out.
You might think its because they did not know where we were but turns out they had BBQ and Deer Stalker so they knew where we were and were all slugged at.

How would it be too much of a stretch, exactly?
Its a stretch cause unlike other legendary or ultra rare killer skins, a Lady D skin would require more work than making an entire killer without the power.
Entire new mesh, new animations for walking, new animations just for the power, new voice lines which still not a thing for Killer skins, and the hassle of making sure nothing from Nemesis conflicts with the Lady D skin.
There is also the fact the Devs have never have made new animations and Mesh powers just for a linked skin. Then also the voices which again is not a thing that killer skins have.
Would be much easier and less painful for the Devs to do an alternate form of Nemesis or use the Original design on Nemesis.
Also why Lady D exactly? All she does in the game is complain, chase the player in the castle and a boss fight. She got the popular cause of memes and people becoming more unholy than the Entity herself, which is scary.
So that is why its a Stretch. Why go all this work for an overworked skin when they can just do a Skin of an alternate Nemesis or a more Iconic Resident evil Character from the Series which would be bit more simple for the devs.
[Edit] Also to use your earlier comment "I think they definitely could/should make an OG Nemesis skin, but that type of model manipulation would probably be too difficult for DBD to handle. The way the Mutation currently works is it's just an extra mesh that enables on the model.
This would also apply that making a Lady D skin would be difficult since that too would mess around with the model.

Honestly, og nemesis looks better than the remake version, I would've loved if on t3 the nemesis we have right now would've cut a part of his clothes like in re3 and have the extra tentacles, that would've been much better than current t3.

Also Wraith Scarecrow outfit I don't even consider it close to an actual Scarecrow.
Just looks like tree roots coming out of cloth rags. No sack mask, no farmer hat, no pumpkin, no farmer's clothing, and no scythe.
Plus Scarecrow would be better used as a actual killer since again lot of Cosmetic possibilities.

Too true, feel like a Scarecrow would have some Jumpscare or tracking power since in most horror media they pop up out of no where in the cornfield so why not make that happen more often and maybe with some 2nd power involving crows.

Idea is to have Jack the Ripper idea and design but have his name "The Shadow"
His power is more supernatural than realistic.
Able to travel through shadows, hard to see in dark areas, able to use stealth for a ambush attack but has a brutal power when it comes to chases.
Idea was to cause fake illusions of the killer walking around and possibly attack the survivor but gives them a status effect instead then vanishes as a passive power. The more shadows attack you the more effects you get. To reduce the effect you have to find a oil lamp and light it which removes the effects but gives Jack slightly more power.
Its a supernatural killer that involves with shadows and stealth.
[edit] That was based on a original inspired Jack the Ripper killer I made long time ago even though bit complicated. Just an example how he can be a supernatural killer. I would actually prefer his power be supernatural and have his m1 just the knife.

Would not be appropriate to have a copyand paste of the real killer ingame but an inspired version of the killer can be okay.
Can't tell me some DBD killers are not loosely based on actual killers or resemble some of them.
Even Marvel did it combining Jack the Ripper and Ghost face into Spring-Heeled Jack.
If Identity V did which is similar to Dead by Daylight I am pretty sure Dead by Daylight can do it better without involving the real stuff.
Jack the Ripper is so much used in the media some people forget he is real because of all the things we seen him in. I still remember him in DC comics when he found Venom.
Jack the Ripper would make an awesome Crime Mystery DLC. We can even just call him "The Shadow".
Lot of people would love the end result once they can see how Devs of the game can involve their own story of him and I could even be better then Assassin's Creed and Identity V's Jack the Rippers without involving the actual story.
Also fun fact he made an appearance in X-Men: The Animated Series which is a cartoon kid's show.........I don't think I need any more evidence how widely he is used in media.

Exactly what my thoughts are. I know Killers should not be happily shared or shrined but Jack the Ripper is a very unique case. In all the media over 90% drop the "Real life version" and go for a unrealistic version or some version that is different from real life counter part.
I still remember a Super powered Jack the Ripper fighting some guy in an anime book with flying knives everywhere.

No one even celebrates or enjoys the actual killer but just the concept and mystery of Jack the Ripper that transforms into different fictional version of Jack the Ripper.

If basically every company or person can make their own fictional versions of Jack the Ripper like Identity V and people from a giant company Ubisoft that made him into Assassin's Creed than Jack the Ripper should be given a chance for an original concept of Jack for Dead by Daylight without involving the real stuff.

Again I mean a killer inspired/based on Jack the Ripper as an original killer.
That means not a copy and paste of his known information since that is all thrown out except his known look and date/time.
So again, Don't want a real killer. I just think would be cool to see Dead by Daylight's version of him due to seeing many versions of him in the media which some don't even make him a realistic being.

The developer update said that we were supposed to get offline bot matches with the mid chapter, but it never happened and behavior hasn't said why. I was really looking forward to practicing with Killers outside of sweaty online matches.
Hope they add it some day, make it easier to practice killers to get the hang of them without jumping in matches then getting wrecked because you are learning and be very helpful with new killers.

Very true, Only a fan of the Tombstone set, the warden torso, and the Sea collection gun........everything else does not fit well or make good combo sets. I would even pay 15 bucks for the outfit if Deathslinger ever got this skeleton set.

And yes I normally would agree with you that way too many people don't read the full discussion and never notice that their opinion was either already represented several times or debunked by others already.
But i am simply fed up with all the FNAF discussion that come up again and again and again since half a dozen chapter ago. One side glorifies FNAF into holiness and the other damns it to hell as being childish. It is simply annoying.
And just like i was already made aware of by @Orion and others i have to refute my demand since it would only send the message to the community that the devs are pressurable to do it's bidding with only making enough of a tantrum.
Still i would love an open Stance of behaviour to this license because these threads have become so exhaustingly annoying not matter if for or against FNAF in DBD.

Also gonna be honest if Fnaf was slightly mentioned on forums and just stuck with videos on youtube we might have has Springtrap ingame a year or 2 already.
Funny thing is I only liked Fnaf for lore and maybe slight gameplay even though never bought a Fnaf game in my life. I only ever bought the books because I love the paranormal/horror genre.
I never really call Fnaf the "Holy Horror". I just like it for the neat set ups it has. I just get annoyed when people call it a kid game even though they don't really look into the lore. I get the gameplay can be or is kiddish but the lore is pretty good once you start reading to it.
I only made this since Fnaf is been popping a lot more since "Clues" so I thought I might as well make a Fnaf thread on why it's hated since if I did it after Pin head drops it most likely would not get "good attention".
I still find it funny people still use this discussion in other Fnaf discussions saying its a problem even though this thread is talking about problems with Fnaf lol.
I do think Fnaf does have a chance due to being in Satisfaction Survey and how some clues can be connected to Fnaf but ultimately leads to Pin head. Though only chance Fnaf has is stopping all the Fnaf spams and random cliche "Springtrap won't fit ingame".

If Springtrap had an Axe he would gruesomly hack and slash the survivor, at the last moment a short jumpscare with the final blow to the jaw [As a joke reference to the bite of 87]
No axe I would say he would pick up the survivor by the neck, survivor screams as they are face to face with Springtrap, Springtrap does a small Jumpscare and snaps the survivors neck then drops them to the ground.
No springlock suits or heads since would be weird if he magically summon a mascot costume for a mori and would probably make the mori bit longer than usual.
