  • Usually if I see a party streamer I just give hints that I dont want to kill but farm so they can get blood points but if they dont get it....eh I'll just chase them and hit but not hook so they can get blood points

The Ravenmaster - More crows spawn on the map. Crows that fly away return in a shorter period of time.

Power: Ranged - The killer marks a survivor. A marked survivor will be followed by crows they disturb until the mark is removed. As crows are accumulated survivors are hindered, survivors with X crows can only slow vault windows and pallets. Only 1-2 survivors can be marked at a time. The mark is removed when a survivor is hooked or when a 3rd survivor is marked. The oldest mark is removed when this happens.

Perk 1: afk crows appear if a survivor stays still for a shorter period of time. This includes working on generators or healing. This "timer" wouldn't drop to 0 immediately once a survivor moves, but would decay rapidly. This is to prevent a survivor from working on a generator and peridocially moving a bit to reset the timer. The time for crows to give active notifications would be between 30 and 40% of generator completion to encourage survivors to leave a gen in search of another. Locker crows would appear more quickly and create a noise notification when the survivor leaves the locker similar to how crows work on the boat in the swamp.

Perk 2: Crows attack downed survivors slowing their recovery and crawling speed.

Perk 3: Crows do not fly from your presence. Crows that fly away return in a shorter period of time (this effect does not stack with this killer's power). While within X meters of a crow, killers can see the auras of survivors within X meters of a stationary crow.

Actually since you thought of decent perks what perk ideas you think will fit a gentleman killer? Like a person in old Victorian clothing that strikes in the shadows?

    How DARE you.

Um.... You know Leprechauns come from Irish origin right?

  • 100% I would love him as a killer and maybe he could use his little walking stick as a weapon also. Might have a possibility if they put Chucky in it then they gotta think about putting the Leprechaun in it.

    Eye for an eye.

When the killer is hit with DS, they are granted a 3/6/8ms speed boost to movement, vaulting, carrying, hooking, grabbing, and breaking gens for 60secs.

This would be a nice lil counter to DS, and make people a lil more scared and tactical when using it..

Maybe it could also count to being blinded and/or being downed by a pallet so its less situational since not everyone will have DS but this will also make survivors worried about punishing the killer.

Actually ironic that the Killer I am doing is actually based by the one in London but is not crow related but that 2nd perk out of all could be ingame easily since the time and speed could be affected on how far away the crows are from the dying survivor. Like for instance if the survivor is super far away then it has no effect but if the survivor is close or close enough that the crows don't have to fly far then the time recovery and crawling speed is based on how close they are to the crows but returns to normal once they are far enough that the crows wont bother the survivor anymore.

I have always wanted a Killer perk, that increases the Killer's speed dependant on how many Survivors are not looking at them, with detrimental effect too ofc. Idd say about 1.5% more speed to the Killer and then -0.375% reduced speed per survivor survivor looking and -2% if all 4 Survivors are looking at you at same time.

Idd call the perk, "Schrödinger's Murderer"

That is actually a interesting idea since now the killer has to be cautious of survivors looking which will cause the killer to be more sneaky and think of tactics. And maybe it can half of its effect gone when in a chase so the killer wont be to fast or to slow.

  • Well looks like Jack is going to win so just going to work on him for now until polls change in a couple days but if Jack still is the top winner then Jack will be the one to have the complete overhaul of Lore, perks, and gameplay mechanics with changes to his human name and killer name like how Freddy Kruger is named The Nightmare.

  • None of them would get in which does make sense but if one had to be in it then would be Springtrap due to many reasons that include being a killer and the fact the animatronic vanished from the games. Also the fact is he is the only one that actually looks terrifying compared to the rest of the animatronics and he shows signs of decay, dried blood, and rotten flesh.

  • Jeepers Creepers since he so underrated and he is basically a demonic creature in a scarecrow outfit.

  • They could have him drag the survivor around like how he does to his victims sometimes but there is the problem of hoisting them up to the hook. So either he is going to use some kind of voodoo magic or I really don't know and I have seen a lot of the films but so far only voodoo magic might be the only way for him to put them on the hook.

No don't worry, I totally get it 😊 Not trying to shut down your idea, I understand where you're coming from, I just personally wouldn't be too comfortable with it, that's all.

Ah alright, thank you fellow gamer and does makes sense why you would not feel comfortable with it which is understandable.

mr.hyde can transform from normal to hyde and all his actions and speed would be 10 or more percent faster and he can create random negative effects that he did not equip in his add-ons when he hits survivors , also when he would be in hyde mode DS would not affect him , I think that could be his special ability

That is actually a interesting idea from other abilities I saw about him like being in human form until some gens are up and even then human form will not let you do anything at all like hitting a survivor or damaging gens. That is a nice back up plan since need to figure how Hyde can work ingame due to the fact he is also Jekyll so it can either be Only Mr Hyde with a survivor that is Dr Jekyll or his best friend Gabriel John Utterson or he could just transform back and forth from Hyde to Jekyll which is actually a smart reference to Jekyll hydes and Hyde kylls [Jekyll hides and Hyde Kills]. So that is a nice power to think about if Mr Hyde wins the polls but going to see who has more votes for some time since this poll has not been up for that long.

  • Would be a cool idea and maybe they could include The Babadook like a double killer pack just in case there is no survivors and for some reason not a lot of people remember those 2 films even though both of them are just like the Boogeyman except Candyman is like a Hybrid of Bloody Mary and the Boogeyman while Babadook is more of a Shadow Boogeyman so they can do a lot for the Candyman. Maybe the can include his bees somehow into a power or mori.

That's good for them, maybe they've had more exposure to him as a legend and a caricature than I have. To me, it would feel almost like having Ted Bundy as a killer. Maybe the devs would also be okay with it, I don't know, but I'm not going to vote to have him in the game.

Ok having Ted Bundy is a bad idea. Was just thinking Jack because its kinda like a myth/legend even though it did happen but no one knows how he escaped. I actually choose Jack because his effect on the media was that he was like a phantom in a horror movie, He came in for the kills then vanished and became a mystery but I am not trying to make it seem ok to use real life killers. Besides video games he had major affect on novels like Sherlock Holmes or using him in movies like From Hell or Batman Gotham by Gas Light. Lastly not trying to change your vote but trying to say I do not want real life killers in the game but thought Jack might be unique killer to look into since it had affect on the Book and Movie industry.

It's mostly the name that's the problem, because the name has certain associations. That's why the other killers in the game who are also influenced by real serial killers don't matter, because they're not named after them. Having a killer inspired by Jack would be one thing, but calling him the same would be insensitive at best, in my opinion.

Maybe they could have him be called something else shadow related and say his real name was lost in time which would actually make sense since there was no real name. I can probably think some later when I do the idea review.

Edit or call him The Shadow since he did evade the police like one.

  • Well there is a podcast interview with one of the devs saying yes and no to killers that have been considered being but in the game and Chucky was a yes which was odd.

  • @Fibijean said:

I know he's been sensationalised a lot in other pieces of media, I just feel like having a character based on an actual killer who murdered real people, and giving players the opportunity to pretend to be that person, could get very ugly very quickly.

True but devs could change the story easily and could even keep the cloak and top hat look since no one actually ever saw Jack's clothes so we do not really know what he actually wore. Change the lore to make it kinda like Ghost face with the murders but make sure no one actually saw him in his lore until maybe the end where cops were gaining on him but I'll save that for later until we can decide who could actually have a better chance to be in the game. Also some of the killers are based or have similarities of real people but we ignore it for a lot of good reasons and enjoy the movies or video games that are horror genre gives us all the time...the chills and thrills. Then we could add a survivor with him that is not related to him in real life but in Dead by Daylight lore like a investigator or Sherlock Holmes type survivor. We could not make him human anymore after the Entity found him. We could have him wear the same top hat, clothes, maybe some gloves and now he is a shadow demon which makes his face covered in shadows so no one can find out his real identity and maybe some shadow related powers. There are many ways to change him but keep his looks and his name Jack the same with out changing everything about him so the Devs can actually consider doing that without worrying about the real Jack.

It won't tho, that's proven with AC Syndicate and even Identity V where the Ripper was playable. His DLC/character got very good reception and people looked way past who the real man behind the persona was.

That is extremely true and he is a mystery which makes him a great option for a killer because there is so much that can be done with him. Also we can make a backstory up for him to make it a lot more interesting and heck maybe make him a shadow demon since he always did hide in the shadows and would be something that the Entity would do to make it's realm a bit more entertaining.

  • This was a bad idea since no one is actually doing the poll oddly enough.

It's impossible as they are the same person but different. Except if the devs want to bring multiverse lore into DBD. However i'm not against it as a big fan of DR jekyll and Mr. Hyde / Frankenstein novel.

Well it can actually work pretty easily since no one really knows the true power of The Entity since even it gave the Wraith a bell to travel into the spirit world and brought the killers and survivors into another realm with out giving them much choice. Also lore can be a bit mixed with both versions since I know the original novel was that Jekyll's elixir just gave him the appearance of his bad side and did not some how get a 2nd personality so technically it was just a potion to give him a mask so no one will know he was Jekyll when he did those crazy things. Devs could make a unique story while keeping the lore the same but mix some of the versions so it did give him a 2nd personality and keep the rest the same since the beauty of this is that the characters are in Public Domain so they can change the story on how they see fit and make it match so it fits Dead by Daylight lore. Like for example The Entity tore them apart and gave them both their own bodies to do as they please with the unknown power the Entity has. Lastly if they do make this I just really hope they don't make Mr Hyde into a Hulk like creature.....I see too many people do that with Mr Hyde. One thing that they should follow by the novel is the looks since their body structure is supposed to look the same but Mr Hyde's body is slightly deformed due to reasons explained in the book on how Jekyll pushed down those evil thoughts into the ground and some other stuff that will take to much time to explain.
