The mental chess I would agree is like survivor having a few pieces missing. theirs a power gap there. I would argue that the power gap there is due to the game being a 1v4. if 1 survivor could match a killer at the highest level of play turn for turn it would literally make killer impossible. I would definetly agree that I feel like Spirit should come with an audio sound to know when shes phasing, and when shes in the phase. though I would argue that the sound should be linked to her terror radius and not global.
I agree some power gap must exists. It is a 4v1 and a part of 4 shouldn't equal the other side. Where I would differ is there doesn't seem to be any power for that 1/4. A little information I feel is needed. A small indicator that she is phasing but not one that tells where she is phasing. So standing still is still an option but visual feedback is no longer given for free.
-
I think where you get it wrong is the mental chess is very one sided. The key to counterplay against a standing Spirit is whether or not she is phasing.
Yes Spirit has counters when she is phasing. But it is knowing when she is in phase is where it breaks down.
While a survivor does mental gymnastics trying to determine what the killer is doing, the killer only needs to stand still observing the survivor's reaction and respond accordingly.
That is too one sided and based on a gamble than any actual feedback provided by game mechanics or the player themselves.
This is where Conditioning Counterplay falls apart. If every choice you make is wrong how do you make your way to the correct answer? Even if you happen to guess correctly in one instance will that carry over to the next interaction or fail? Did you really make the correct choice or were you on the winning side of a coin flip? When every action taken results in being hit your only choice becomes to not move at all.
Every killer gives some form of feedback for the survivors to observe and react to. This is your mechanical counterplay. How the killer moves to when they use or fake use their power. Spirit has none of this. For awhile you didn't even know she was vaulting a window.
The Devs clearly designed her to lack information. Both for her and the survivor. The issue was how players ended up play her. The information war then became too one side where one side could gather the nessisary information before acting while the other side stays in the dark.
Where is the information that the Spirit is phasing? That's the major issue players have. It's entirely up to the survivor to make that determination and soley on gut feeling.

tl:dr

You should be sorry!

Someone has never been called a "Potter" before. It's actual quite hurtful.
-
No need to main any one killer.
-
3 minutes into a match and the killer dominated the survivors. Why let one of them go and risk a depip?
-
What? A 600 million bp grind is scary?
No way.
🙃

No thanks

Yeah, Babysitter is a fairly toxic perk.

Ever stood next to a healthy Meg and get the feeling Death is breathing in your ear? No? Well each their own.
-
It's 25% per drop. If the survivor wiggled 75% or more they jump off.
Bit of history, 🥸
Wiggle drop penalty was 25% untill killers started dribbling DS users to hooks. The Devs up the penalty to 33%, stating it was due to a bug where Killers could drop survivors more than they should. 🤔 Soon™ after DS was changed to prompt during pickup animation, the penalty was reverted to 25% with no explanation. 🤨
This concludes today's history lesson. 🤓
-
You've come to the right place.
-
Why stop with solo? If you're going to do something, go big. Remove the survivor role entirely. Make it a PvE game with bots.
Second phase remove the killer role and replace it with a bot.

It's understandable falling asleep on Haddonfield.

It takes a lot of work to make those skins.
Just ask Bubba.

could you imagine just one day you go in to check on your baby and their just a full grown adult. That's what I imagine when you say it like that
I'm sure it be like that for some parents.

Having your two best killers free cuts into DLC revenue. Something had to be done.

Never give up, never give in.

also matched with a killer that DCs a lot.

I just wanted to know why people played her because a lot of people i have seen hate her to the point of DCing if she is in the match
Still sounds like Spirit shaming.
-
Sounds like a never ending cycle of toxicity.
Normal DBD actually.
What's the challenge again?
-
I didn't know Spirit was such a pariah that one needs to explain themselves for playing her.
-
What? You can't grind out 53 million in 3 months? Talk about lazy.

Killers: Make it faster.
Survivors: Make it slower.
It's fine where it is.

These add ons make you move even slower than %110 speed I believe
While using the chainsaw. I haven't seen how much it slows you down.

#5 is the only one I'm not aware of. Like to find a video of it.
Not sure what building you are referencing in #10.
-
Because the killer knowing where you are doesn't account for much if they can't catch you.

I have easy 4ks without addons.

I rarely see default anyone.
Other than Nurse, Trapper, Huntress, and Hag, I use P3 outfits.

Devs will tell us if its on. They did the last time and it was a clear change to the match making.
Lets stop with the conspiracy theories.

Damn chipmunks. Listen to them scheming.

Win condition is a pip.
Draw is a black pip.
Loss is a depip.
-
I guess Blight.
Smashing my head against the wall hasn't really worked out that well for me.
Also I'm not that good with Blight.
-
The issue with old MoM was the condition of losing chases. Survivor being rewarded for failing. Killer's punished for playing the game. Same issue as old DS. Killer is punished for playing their role and downing a survivor.
Lose two chases. Hit a skill check. Conditions not benefitting an outcome that can drastically change the course of a match.

I actually take back what I said. I dced to give hatch to someone who kobed (killer was slugging me and nodding at me so whatever) and I only lost one pip. But when my internet crashes (quite frequently sadly) it's 2 pips. I don't get it.

Untrue, I lost connection a few days ago and got a -2. Players who DC to derank get hit with timeout penalties that make it prohibitive to do on any large scale.
Anyway, I'd hate to see a -2 for really bad games, just because the situation where you lose that badly usually doesn't have much to do with how you played? Yeah, you'd double-depip if you went to a corner to self-care each time you got hit, or urban evade around the map instead of doing gens, and that's as things should be. But players doing those things rarely pip up. In my experience... more often, getting barely any emblems means you got tunneled or camped out of the game very early, your entire team collapsed very early (which... half the time, in my experience, it's because you have an AFK or a player that suicides immediately), or nobody bothered to unhook you.
Personally I think the threshold for pipping up at yellow and green ranks needs to be higher, and emblems need to be reworked so that you don't get people pipping up on other players' work (unbroken and benevolent can both reward you entirely on your teammates' contributions and evader rewards you handsomely for stealthing around the killer - lightbringer is the only one that actually requires you to help your team.) More emblem weight should also be placed on looping to ensure that players who move into the red ranks actually have skill at the game and not just the ability to do objectives when not bothered by the killer.

Nope, it's -2.
Source: me, my internet crashed twice yesterday and i checked my pips both times
There's a difference between clicking the Leave Match and crashing/disconnects.
Remember who the Devs are.

I can't believe I hated Nea back then... Because of her face. Now I like her, she's alright.
Beauty is pixel deep.

As far as I can tell, I've been playing this mode for 4 years.

DCs are -1 now. It was -2 and long ago it was -3 (if I remember correctly)
Its -1 now because players were DCing to derank.

and she's my only survivor P3 all perks.
