aswell as probably hearing grown up men screaming at you for not playing the exact way they think you should. Voice chat would be horrible in this game.

Yep - pretty much this. Or little kids being super obnoxious

    Don't play Pinhead.

That's it. Your perk combo isn't the issue and changing it likely won't matter.

He can be super oppressive in Solo Q and very annoying to deal with. People are just gonna hook suicide rather than sit through a long game they aren't having fun with.

This. Pinhead is zero fun to play against

So there's the stereotype that every Bubba will camp,Every Nemesis tunnels the first survivor,Every Nurse slugs at five gens but what about Oni what is his stereotype because I know every killer and survivor have one for survivors simple Dwight's will hide in lockers,Claudette's basically hide in corners, and Meg's well their Megs.

the stereotype for Oni is that he doesn’t exist. Seriously, I can’t remember the last time I faced him in a match

Show me one veteran who believes nurse does not need to be toned down or reworked. I'll wait.

    What is considered a “veteran”?

  • When I play killer if I know the survivors are waiting at the gate I will just spam my killer power off somewhere else on the map or look for breakable walls/unbroken pallets to get more BP. The survivors usually get bored waiting for me to come to the gate so they can t-bag me and usually leave on their own before the timer expires.

  • @BringShaggytoDBD said:

    Oh wait... there wasn't any.

Seems odd to me BHVR will plan a holiday event with unique items, knowing players won't be able to use them all and then at the end of the event just scrap them.

To be fair, there are plenty of other useless items, add-ons and offerings that you will also likely never use.

  • @Rastabooze said:

Returned after 2 months not playing this game since the huge patch. Played 3 games and got tunneled all the way until death.

    Is this fun?

For killers I bet it is. This game will be dead soon.

    gg ez

Do you think it’s fun for killers to play “fair” and take turns hooking everyone equally so they can get zero kills and watch the survivors t-bag them at the exit gates?

  • @BougieBlackChick said:

Will the unused rods disappear or are they just gonna sit in our inventory, but can’t be used?

They will sit in your inventory, unusable, for years to come, serving as a painful reminder about how much game time and BP you wasted on them.

To be fair, there are still a lot of useless items, add ons and offerings that I have to waste BP on that I will never use, so the event offerings are really no different

  • @BigBoB24 said:

    Git gud

Yeah, I kind of agree with this. Artist has plenty of counters and there is a reason you rarely see her in matches (at least I hardly ever do). She’s terrible in the hands of a noob and difficult to master.

  • The only thing that will get BHVR to prioritize the solo q buffs is a large number of players leaving the game. If you are really having that miserable of a time, stop playing. If enough players leave, maybe it will get the devs to place more priority on the solo q quality of life updates.

  • @GentlemanFridge said:

I mean, I'd like to see DbD go free-to-play, but with cheaters still rampant from the time they went F2P for only a week or two...

It might be for the best if it's not going F2P just yet.

100% agree with this as the reason this game should never be free to play. BHVR simply can’t keep up in the fight against cheaters, so making it more expensive for cheaters to get new accounts after they are banned is really the only effective deterrent to keep the problem from getting worse than it already is

  • It would be nice if we could get at least something for all these wasted offerings, but there’s zero percent chance of that happening. You’ll be seeing those sitting in your inventory, unusable, from now until eternity

  • This is a very frequent suggestion from the community. It’s a very good idea and would be universally popular. Unfortunately, BHVR have no interest in implementing this. If they did, it would have happened a long time ago. BHVR know that they have to keep the game grindy enough to keep people playing but they also can’t to make it too easy for players to achieve everything as then they will quickly get bored and stop playing the game. It’s a balance

  • They’ll be a nice little forever reminder of all the BP that you’ll never get back

  • @PB_TORCHer said:

We’re gonna get downed. I’ll never understand the suicidal players or DC on the first down. Iv’e played about 10 games today and these players are in half. NO exaggeration.

‘XD we get 3 hooks so I don’t see the point

Well, the DC penalty is there for a reason. These players can enjoy their temp bans

  • People have been asking for this forever, and BHVR doesn’t seem interest in doing it. Ain’t gonna happen, unfortunately

  • @The_Krapper said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/352712/badhams-school-area-should-be-completely-reworked

If they just put one hook in the preschool basement it would fix the problem, and if a whole squad is doing that once unbreakable goes live you can easily slug for the finishing Mori because they're more than likely all gonna be in the same area to take hits and sabo

agree - having a hook always available in the school would help a lot. Sometimes you have the basement there, but not guaranteed

  • @GoshJosh said:

When this is changed/prioritized over camping Bubba. Pretty good job so far.

Camping Bubba has counterplay. Locker saves don’t

  • @MrHashtagYT said:

I don't really know because on one hand the killer side some killers have really strong powers, addons and perks that just make the survivors DC but one the other hand survivors just bring strong perks to the game, flashlights, toolboxes, med kits etc.

It’s tilted in favor of survivor if it’s a coordinated SWF team. Communicating on comms is a huge advantage and a coordinated team can slam out gens very easily.

In solo queue, it’s definitely more killer-sided.

  • #1 has been suggested countless times in the past and unfortunately BHVR seem to have no interest in implementing that. The rationale is most likely that they’ve done other things to reduce the grind and make it easier to earn BP. It sure would be nice if we could dump the hundreds (or thousands) of useless items, addons and offerings that most players have in their inventories.

  • I always used Spine Chill when I was a newer player. Now I kind of feel like it’s a “training wheels” perk that I don’t really need anymore. On most maps you can pretty easily tell if the killer is coming towards you, except of course with stealth killers. It seems like most matches I play it’s not a stealth killer. As long as you plan your escape route before you have to leave a gen you’re working on, doesn’t really feel like it’s worth using a perk slot for this. Lots of other better perks to help you and your team, IMO.

  • @AshInTheTallGrass said:

Not challenge you, not keep you on your toes or stress you out, not even bore you---annoy you. Zero fun. Rub you the wrong way.

Cenobite’s box is zero fun if you’re playing solo q. Either everyone is going for the box and not doing gens or nobody is going for the box and the whole match is permanent chain hunt. Either ways it’s usually gg ez for the killer

  • It seems like much less of a problem than it used to be. I don’t see this perk as often in my killer matches than I used to, and when I do see it, survivors waste an awful lot of time blessing totems while not doing gens so I’m usually ok with it. On my ranked priority list for things that I think need to be fixed in the game, this has definitely dropped a few spots.

  • I’ll go into a game feeling like an 8, then I run into survivors who can run away from a generator and then somehow activate sprint burst again during a chase, and then it feels more like a 2.

I feel like the subtle cheating situation is getting worse

  • @FrodoTbaggins said:

I have roughly 130hrs in, why then am I getting paired against 1k plus hr swf teams. I get it pretty often and it bothers me. There's got to be a better matchmaking system.

The problem is that in order to make matchmaking that is perfectly “fair” you’d have to wait in queues forever. Most players aren’t willing to do that, so quality has to be sacrificed for speed. The pool of players in a specific region is just never big enough to allow for both quick and fair matchmaking. Imbalance in killer to survivor ratio also makes this problem worse

  • @AshInTheTallGrass said:

You go to the store, you buy what you want, in what quantity you want. You also can sell useless add-ons and offerings (that we've all accumulated over the years).

If you have a better idea, please share.

That would definitely be nice. But it would reduce the grind too much and people would play less, so BHVR would never do it

  • I’ve enjoyed it. I appreciate all the effort from the dev team to make it interesting and interactive. Of course you get bad matches with bad teammates or subtle cheaters but that’s a problem that’s not specific to this event.

  • @malatruse said:

I'm curious about why people DC as survivor when they find out they're facing x killer. Do you DC based on who the killer is, and if so, why?

You’re not supposed to DC and if you say that you DC in the forums then the mods will get mad at you.

Hypothetically if I was going to do this, it would be against Cenobite (just miserable in solo q) or Nurse (ok if it’s a baby nurse but gg ez for killer if they are halfway decent).

  • @CoDismylife said:

How long is it gonna take BHVR?

Simple toggles for Anti Aliasing, Vsync, Motion blur, fps cap????

I feel a bit insulted that bhvr hasn't improved on this area at all while I support them with my money a lot.

They have to prioritize their time on important things like nerfing flashlight clicking 🙄

I agree it’s a joke that they don’t have basic graphics settings in this game in 2022. People are still spending money on the game in spite of this, so there’s no incentive for BHVR to put resources into adding these features.

  • Nobody expects it because after a massive nerf it’s no longer worth the time to preemptively cleanse dull totems. It’s now a D-tier perk not worth using. I’ve seen it used maybe twice since it was nerfed

  • @FrodoTbaggins said:

If I haven't griefed you during the match, please for the love of god don't grief me at the end of it.

Don’t forget you are playing against 12 year olds or adults with the mental maturity of 12 years olds

  • @Ivansanchez224 said:

This game is way too easy for killers it’s insane. I’m a killer main and if I play 10 games 9/10 of those I win fairly easy. I don’t think killers should be able to see the survivors aura at all because that just defeats the sole purpose of what the survivors are supposed to do which is to hide and be stealthy. I also think the hooks are way to close to each other and need to have a cool down after someone gets unhooked from one. It’s ridiculous how I can just throw another person on the same hook without any penalties right after someone gets unhooked. The game has started to get boring with just how easy it is for killers. Also the killers range needs to be nerfed. Too many times I find my self downing someone with hits that shouldn’t have connected. Tell me how I can down someone when they just vaulted through a window or pallet despite me not being close to them at all.

Congratulations for being a god-level player

  • @WeakestNurseMain said:

So long as killer gets some kind of buff, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't become basekit, it promotes pretty healthy play and adds a layer of strategy to perks like STBFL and Play with your food.

Killer players are going to need to get an awful lot of basekit abilities added to keep up with all these free perks that survivors are getting. Yeesh…

  • Please stop - flashlights have been nerfed enough already

  • @Crowman said:

Why aren't the devs realizing that no one wants to play against swf?

Nurse has already been reworked and survivors will never be happy with nurse as it's unlikely the devs will change how her power functions. Nurse will always be able to blink and survivors will always complain about it. Same with Legion. Legion will always be the killer who runs around putting survivors into deep wounds and survivors will always complain about it.

People rage quitting is not a valid reason to change a killer as there's no way to guarantee the rage quit was because of the killer.

Confirmed: as a survivor and killer player, Nurse and SWF are both unfun to play against.

  • Yes. I’ve had this happen often today.

    Nerf being a meme comment.

Seriously though is she just really annoying to verse as a survivor?

I have been getting destroyed on most killers, got her as a daily and have noticed people play very different vs her compared to others.

Is playing lesser used killers a good idea because survivors dont know what to do as much, or is it something else?

Match was one after another ( same map - no offerings ! )

    ORRRRRR

Is this something else entirely and people are trying to play around perks, and that is messing them up? What a meta shakeup that would be haha

Pig is one of the last killers that needs a nerf. The stalk and lunge power is nearly useless. The only thing she has are traps, which aren’t that difficult to deal with unless you have very unlucky RNG

  • @SailedSavage said:

Personally my least favorite to play against as it's super boring to get unlimited blades thrown at you with almost no cool down, an ultimate that is literally unlimited blades for a long duration and no movement speed penalty, blades that bounce so avoiding them seems next to impossible unless you get lucky. He can shred through multiple health states very quickly.

I would suggest removing the ricochet of the knives as it doesn't even make sense for knives to ricochet and either increase how many it takes to injure you, decrease how many he can hold significantly and keep the damage, or remove the "ultimate". There's just too much going on.

I haven’t seen him in so long I honestly forgot that he was in this game

  • @Luceus said:

I come back from a few weeks of break from the game to have some fun and participate in the new tome but guess what? It's not possible to complete them without being allowed to play the game.

    1st game: Tunneling wesker

    2nd game: Facecamping bubba

    3rd game: Starstruck nurse

4th game: Facecamping bubba hitting and nodding at hook

5th game: Camping and tunneling wesker

    6th game: Tunneling huntress

Tries to go killer: 1st game T bagging 4 man swf sabo squad

disclaimer: by tunneling and camping I mean the "at 5 gen left type"

Players are just allowed to straight up ruin your game and will not hesitate to abuse of it by making everyone's games miserable rather than actually play it since none of this is bannable because they are VaLiD StArTeGiEs.

The game has the most obvious issues of rampant and abusive toxicity , but the devs rather work on "tHe fInIsHiNg mOrI SyStEm".

Devs keep saying that they can't really make changes because of "really limited resources" those same resources that they rather use all of the most stupid stuff that no one cares about rather than actually come up with changes to fix their game.

Am I the only one thinking that the devs would rather work on their own thing instead of doing their jobs properly is absolute BS? Because idk about you but I love this game and recently I'm actually starting to get sick of playing it because the community.

Sounds like somebody had some bad matches. Let’s change the game so you can be happy and make it impossible for killers to win.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/350370/did-they-disable-nvidia-filters

Since it gives an advantage to some users, that other users can't use, then I would agree with disabling NVIDIA filters.

Disagree. Until BHVR fixes the issues with maps that are way too dark that they continue to refuse to fix, this is an accessibility issue. People need to be able to adjust the brightness to make the game playable

  • @CoDismylife said:

It's a bug of nvidia overlay and dbd. I cant use my mouse at all when going to nvidia overlay to start recording a match for example.

  • @Marik1987 said:

So there is literally NOTHING in it.

    LMAO

You forgot about the unnecessary flashlight nerfs

  • These changes are idiotic, but not surprising. A lot of players predicted that this would be an unnecessary nerf and they were 100% correct.

  • @feffrey said:

Players who tunnel should outright get banned if not suspended its unsportsmanlike conduct and just a hostile gaming environment.

Those who tunnel do not care about the strat winning or losing they do it because they can and to ruin a players game.

It's fun when I can ruin another player game right ? Until they out it down and go elsewhere. I honestly did andvkinda just play once or twice a few weeks.

Now they're trying to address the tunneling camping issue but it's kinda too late now for a returning player they've made too many changes at that

OK - how do you propose we decide when a killer gets banned for tunneling?

  • @ProfessorDunwich said:

Pretty straightforward. Most of have put hundreds of dollars in this game. That is not enough? Time limited cosmetics, which are usually in F2P games, are warranted here?

Why are BHVR required to give a response? If you don’t like this, don’t buy the skins or just stop playing the game altogether.

  • @Sheffield said:

I play DBD every day and in every Match the Killer is tunnelling.

    Why is nothing done there?

It takes the fun out of the Game. You can no longer escape because the killer is playing unfairly.

only recently are the killers all so that they play like that.

I've been playing dbd since release and love the game but now I'm on the verge of saying no I'm leaving the game.

The Match start Killer have fast one down and camp/tunnel this person. And the round is as good as lost.

every and every and every round.

how do you see it and what is your opinion on it?

My opinion on this is that killers should play however they want within the rules. Tunneling can be a good strategy. Against good survivors, winning by hooking everyone equally is not possible. Try playing killer sometime and you’ll understand

  • @AnneBonny said:

i don't care how good you think they look, do not encourage this. FOMO, or fear of missing out, is a highly manipulative and predatory business tactic that is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. encouraging you to buy a skin by dangling its exclusivity (the thing bhvr said they'd stop doing and then immediately started doing again) over your head. please don't feed into this.

I don’t understand how this is “predatory”. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything. I personally don’t care about skins *at all*, so I’m not going to buy anything, but I don’t have any problem with a business charging whatever they please if people are willing to buy something that is 100% discretionary.
