Why should it? You deserve death for not doing gens, let alone 1. If a single gen isn't completed and there's one survivor left, their aura should be shown so they die or just let the entity kill them.
A bit harsh if you're solo Qing and your 3 teammates threw and just killed themselves on hook.
-
I feel like people need to know a little 'trick' if you expect no ed, and you're cleansing bones.
If you see a bone near an exit gate: do NOT cleanse that, ever, try finding the others first, so if your teammates would finish gens a bit too early, you'll have a chance of no ed spawning at that location near the exit gate, so it wouldn't be that hard to find. Because if you do cleanse it and don't do the others, that's probably because the bone location was a very tough one it spawned in, so you can't do that save on that last guy that got hit by it.
Just a little tip people need to remember. (Of course this can all be for nothing if you're in solo Q and a random teammate cleanses it, but I never blame them, we ain't a SWF).

Trapper ahouldnt be able to walk on his own traps.
I've many of times set a trap at a pallet. Thw survivor squeezes through left or right hand side apparently. The i try and squeeze through left or right... boom traps get me.
How can asurvivor get through on one side but i cant get through doing this?
I've seen survivors using dead head and glide over traps placed.
Eveeything about trapper is just a 4 man escape for survivora unless you get the potato brown ranks in
It's an easy to learn killer, a hard to master one. I think otzdarva and many others proved that... He just needs some QoL buffs. Like alot of killers.

I seriously can't believe that, isn't dead dawg smaller?

Haddonfield or Midwich? I personally hate both LOL
Midwich is tolerable, haddonfield is just ugh, esp if they have balanced

Midwich is probably the best for him, LONG hallways that usually end up being bad for normal moving killers, but this is the perfect bottleneck for blight, and the rooms have usually unsafe pallets so..

I don't think he needs a rework but he definitely needs a buff. I believe he needs to start with 3 traps and hold 4. Maybe also make it so when survivors make it out of his trap, it puts them in the dying state.
I can see the intention of your design, living up to his name, but I don't see this working with bear traps unless they change what type of trap he uses. I'm not sure what type of trap this could be but I'm sure they could find something.
Perhaps not the dying state? Deep wound would be enough imo. He already has an addon for that, I think it's a bit op to make that base kit.

If am crouched and i know someone is on a gen. Do you really think i try an ambush attack? No. I stand up and hit them. Why? Because a crouched attack does same as a standard hit. Missing an ambush hit wases more time.
Ambush shiuld have been a one shot down because it's an attack that isn't worth using.
Ttaps should auto start in 10 seconds and not waited for gens.
Survivors with a trap on should not bw able to exit through the gates or exit the hatch. It instead should kill them instead of allowing them to exit.
Should be harder skill check. Time to check and more boxes in each map etc.
If you actually know how to play the game and how it works.. the pig has so much gen pressure, here's why:
The RBT aren't usually used to kill survivors, sure there's a chance, but its most consistent use is gen pressure.
You down a guy, place a trap, they get unhooked. Now what will they do? A gen or do they try to take it off? They try and take it off.
You're pretty unlucky if all 4 survivors get their traps off first try, but you always need to consider that.
But in normal scenarios.. one survivor has to, let's say try 3/4 times? They waste 36/48 seconds on searching, + the time it took them to walk, that's an INSANE amount of time that they don't do gens, bones, heal, etc... So how is there no gen pressure on The Pig?
The ambush in some scenarios is useless of course, but that doesn't mean her ambush is unviable.
An ambush can shorten a chase by alot, by using it around a loop, if you're lucky around a pallet, youy ambush, you probably got a hit, which usually takes longer by trying to just M1.
Ambush also doesn't waste stacks of STBFL when using on obsession.
Ambush can give survivors little time to react if you run addons, and it can come out of no where.
I HIGHLY disagree making it insta downable, it also just doesn't make sense why it could, it's an easy to hit power if you're in the open, and combining it with stealth with no things to slow it more down (Like GF with his marking) is just overpowered.
Of course she could use a QoL update like many killers nowadays, but she is in no condition in need of a "massive buff".

I don't think any killer wants tunneling to be nerfed. Idk why you made that up but that was a laughable.
I'm an semi exp red rank killer last year when I was playing. Don't wvwr come on here ywlling me it's because a player is not exp enough.
You rank from brown to green to purple in a few days no matter how exp you are. It just puts you there. Then you have to de with swf groups nearly every lobby using comms. So your gamea go from easy to nearly impossible to get a kill.
Mori got nerfed to absolutely being absolutely useless. You say surbivors dont want killers nerfed?
Freddys getting nerfed soon because survivors say he to strong.
Don't expect a reply from me because you sir are just wasting my time in replying to you .
You are putting words into my mouth... I never said that killers want tunneling to be "nerfed", I (Probably other killers too) want it to change that we don't have to do that, but still keep the same advantage by doing something else that's not considered "toxic".
I'm honestly confused by half your sentences, but what I do understand is that you're saying that you get sweaty swf almost in every lobby? I don't know where you got that from but that's just bullshit, I get like a sweaty swf 1/10 games, you're a very unlucky guy if you do, but alot of killers can probably agree.
Sure moris got nerfed, but it still counters DS, sabotage plays, etc.. it's an offering that will NEVER give you a disadvantage, but the 7k price is a bit questionable.
"Freddys getting nerfed soon because survivors say he to strong" because he IS, his skill cap doesn't exist, and you get so much value by doing nothing, it's an annoying killer to play against and quite frankly a bit anticlimactic to play as.
And you sir, are horrible in making sentences that people can actually understan, and I still don't know what your whole argument here is, besides that killers get too many nerfs, and that a sound notification is gonna change your whole gam?
I also think that the killer role is a bit of a role that people don't often recommend because of its high frustration/difficulty, but what do you expect from a 1v4?
And if you don't reply to me, I'll just assume you know I'm right.

Why is it every day survivors want killers nerfing even more. It's already a 4v1 game. Sur using comms most time. Now tou want gook notifications taken out?
Most killers now a days cant even get 1 kill with how over poweted thw survivors have become.
Getting thay 1 kill maybe the only kill they will be able to get in that game and you want to take that away from them so that 4 sur can escape instead of 3?
I think you need to try killer more before poating somwthing like this.
As someone who plays both sides, I hate being tunneled when it's unnessecary. As a killer, I hate 4 ds/ub.
It's not just survivor mains who want these changes, probably some killer mains want it to change too because some (including me) feel bad for tunneling, even though it's a viable strat or they are forced to.
"Most killers nowadays can't even get 1 kill with how over powered the survivors have become" that's just called not being experienced enough, most killers atleast get 1/2k if they had a bad game. I rarely get any 0ks. Unless you got this information from brown ranked killers..
But this game is 4 survivors to a ratio of 1 killer, of course you'll see more complaints about tunneling, x4 people get annoyed by it then killers get annoyed by other things.
People also aren't trying to "nerf" or make killer "worse" to play. They just want change so it doesn't give anyone an unfair experience. Like an idea for this to discourage tunneling, perhaps make survivors slower in everything when injured, or for 1 minute after hook, so people can leave them to be slower in things whilst they can commit to the unhooker.

It's good for any killer, and is one of the "counters" against spirit. Whilst looping, them not being able to hear your sound when you're injured helps ALOT in mind games.

There was a time, a few years ago, where survivors actually had a queue of 45+ minutes. This resulted in some killer buffs.
Now, as long as survivor mains want more killer nerfs and make statements like "killer is in the best spot ever", things won´t change.
Those are the type of survivors that think killers are too OP with their ruin/undying, but run DS/Unbreakable and also complain about queue times, and sadly devs probably listen to these people because they're the least amount of work... oh well

I got a question for survivors mains. Do most of you all like to farm bloodpoints with killers or prefer just a straight game? Bc I like farming points with everyone and have a fun time. I do have serious games as well but sometimes it hard to get survivors to farm with you as well. So just throwing this question out their to get some opinions on this subject lol
Though I do like to farm, usually it's the memeing the survivors/killers do is just still funny to me. But the bloodpoints are nice, esp if I used an escape cake or a pudding :)

That's what I'm saying.
There was a interview where Mathieu said, that how long are people willing to wait to get a good match.
Imagine how long it would be, if the matchmaking would only search players within 2 ranks of each other.
Survivors now have queues of 5 to 10 minutes and that's with no rank restrictions.
How much longer would it be, if it searched for the right opponent? 30 minutes? 45 minutes?
What's the point in waiting, that already takes a LONG TIME sometimes, for a match where you get stomped on because you have 3 teammates in brown ranks and a red rank killer, or stomp on brown ranked killers? I'd rather wait more for a match that's actually enjoyable. And if they could listen to us quicker for once, to our suggestions to make killer more enjoyable.. they could fix this imbalance between survivors/killer players, to fix these awful queue times. But sure just nerf moris to make it more of a problem, without giving them something else, nerfing moris 100% made some killer mains quit, idc how toxic they were, that's still a part of the killers gone, so longer queue times.
And just to add salt to the wound, bugged killers from the patch DEFINETELY made some killer mains quit, so an even LONGER queue time.
So sure, I'd rather change the matchmaking system, but there are bigger problems who can solve this.

It would have been nice if it was like make your choice but for chests
It's a buff indeed, but still a worse version than like any other exposing perk. Chests are a side objective, trying to capitalize on them with a perk is such based on luck, make your choice would still be a better perk.
-
Devour is a very balanced perk in my opinion. You can't abuse it with undying, you discourage camping, it's high risk high reward perk.. so you can lose it immediately, so hey, its not the most toxic perk in the world, in this case doing bones is a viable argument.
Also congrats on that game! I couldn't have done it myself, happy new years and happy holidays :)

It can be owkayish with Franklin's if survivors really really really don't want to let their item go but overal it's pretty mediocre.
Maybe if keys one day aren't in chest anymore this could be decentish. injured soloq players have a tendancy to look through chest for a medkit when their solo teammates don't want to heal them for whatever reason and a loud notification that yells where a injured survivor is isn't the worst thing in the world.
as for now though, giving survivors more chances to just cut the match in half makes it pretty bad.
I've also thought of this, franklin's with hoarder against a key team CAN help.. but then again you dedicate 2 perks for one item that could be just a green key. Perhaps for alot of medkits it can work. But overall it's a bad perk alone, and just RnG based (Will survivors do chests or not? Usually a waste of time).
Another perk in the bloodweb for more grinding, yey!

I never got reliant on it, I'm so happy... I removed it from my usualy builds and am just trying to help me and my teammates in solo Qs with perks like kindred or better together..

Nahhh, that's good on you! Making a killer viable that the community often deem "bad, trash, etc", is amazing how you can master him. Not being able to play nurse is completely understandable, but spirit most people would say "Ez killer, ez kills", but if you're not used to it, you still won't do well! You're a good killer, stay stafe from object and respect DSes! :)

Killer - Knockout. It just encourages slug builds. Most killers I see using it slug survivors until they bleed out.
Survivor - Bond. Most players I see using this perk use it to screw over their teammates not help them.
Knockout I understand, but bond? It's such a handy perk to use, esp as a solo Qr, if people use it to bodyblock or something (On purpose), then I've never seen it before and they should just be reported, instead of just removing a very good perk that people should use more in solo Qs.

@AnnoyingNarrator said:
For most killers, you want survivors injured so that you can track them and down them easily, and this perk adds the benefit of a global slowdown. That means this perk must be good, right?
Well, sort of. The main thing to understand with Thanatophobia is that it forces survivors to heal. For most killers, that is not that good. But for three types of killers, this is game-breaking. Which types? Instadowners like Bubba, injury-based killers like Legion and Plague, and harassers like Wraith.
Why those two types? For killers like Legion and Plague, it makes sense because survivors should almost always be injured thanks to your power, and while downing them is the hard part, the added slowdown can give you a lot of time.
For killers like Bubba, it does not really matter what health state the survivor is in as you will just down them anyway. The key to this game is to have them waste time healing. By the time it takes for one person to heal, you have already downed another. After all, the best way to play against killers like these is to play injured and gen rush, but when being injured is punished, it puts them in a bad place.
Finally, killers like wraith benefit from this perk because ideally you should be bouncing from one chase to another, and making it so that the person you just left has to heal first instead of just gen rushing means that you can bounce from survivor to survivor much more easily.
Overall, Thanatophobia is a perk that excels in certain conditions but backfires when not in them. I would not recommend this perk unless you know how to properly apply pressure.
Yep, as a legion main I've probably been able to save some gens just by a 10% slower repair speed, 8 seconds can mean ALOT in this game, just like the 5 seconds of a brown toolbox.
It's a specific killer perk, when used correctly, can make your games easier.

Seriously. I’d probably be up to level 90 on Eloise by now if leveling up didn’t stop at 50, and I still haven’t gotten self care, and I just barely got Iron Will and Spine Chill. To exacerbate the problem is that it won’t really give me any green perks. I have a whole lot of yellows and purples, and if I manage to get a green perk when I refresh the bloodweb it will offer me that same perk again as a purple one. Plus, if I don’t take it they will keep offering it to me over and over again and won’t take the hint that I just don’t want that perk. So really, I have no choice BUT to take the perk just to get rid of it and free up space on the web for something else, hopefully something that I’ll actually use. It’s very irritating!
Imo, people should just take purple perks, even if they don't want it, even though it wastes alot of BP... it'll give you an easier time to get other perks.
Though if you got the option to get like unbreakable II instead, that's understandable. but if there are no better options, just take the purple.
But yeah, the grind for new perks is just stupid, want your DS? Grind like 70 levels to get DS I, it's ridiculous.
It's like we're playing a F2P sometimes...

As time passes more and more items are put in the in-game store. Eventually this may reach a "critical mass" where there are too many items in the store, making using it cumbersome due to the volume of cosmetics on sale. In the future some of the items may be removed temporarily or even permanently from the store to make space for new items.
Note that this does not mean that the items would be removed from player inventories, but just from the store - if you have them you could still use them, but if you do not then you could not get them anymore.
Have the developers confirmed or deconfirmed that they are going to remove items from the in-game store in the future?
Why remove cosmetics, from the store, like ever?
"Critical Mass" "Make space for new items" How can there be ever be enough/too many cosmetics, if people like it, they like it, if they don't, they can always make more.
From a company side: this is a super dumb thing to do, basically making less income by removing cosmetics, or just interest in some characters.
From a player side: this would be very annoying, and perhaps some people get angry for deleting their favorite cosmetic.
I just don't see what the point of it is, if you'd say this about perks, I fully agree that there are too many (but deleting them would be just wasted potential).
But cosmetics, really? Afaik, there's no cap on cosmetics, the more the merrier, how terrible they might be, it does not harm the game in any way.

Ppl don't understand and would disagree. But dead by daylight is all about abuse. If ur not abusing something, ur not playing dbd.
Oh so if a killer can abuse how small the map is and basically find any survivor super quick (like dead dawg), they MUST abuse it, so he will win guaranteed, and if a survivor can loop a killer and the killer can't do anything about it (On rottenfields) for ages, they MUST abuse it and they basically win? So you're saying: Survivor sided map? Abuse it, Killer sided map? Abuse it.
That is NOT balancing, that's just making both side frustrated, like it is now.
-
I don't think these challenges encourages people to play killer in any way. I see killers more often throw the game just to get their challenge done (Including me sometimes). Do you think this is a form of good encouraging of people to play killer? No you just waited 5 hours to get a game where the killer threw.
If you really think it does encourage people to play killer, I think that's then a dumb way to try and make killer more "fun". Instead of just giving an abysmal amount of killer challenges, why not try to FIX the problems people have with the killer role. Like we've all suggested multiple things to make the role more fun, but these changes happen so slow because of the high amounts of new buggy content they add every 3 months, they've even nerfed the moris, which is a good thing, but do you think more people like playing killer now? No. And yes I know about the probably high probability of the key nerf, but how long is that going to take, like the mori?
Just things like a color blind mode... It can't be that hard to make, right? It can't give more advantages than trying to get some nvidia geforce filter on yourself, it's dumb that people need to fix the problem themselves when we've been screaming for years that it's a problem.
Survivor and killer challenges need to be the same amount, it does not encourage people to play killer more. Might aswell give people that play survivor (That have it a harder time to grind BP than killers imo, just look at the survivor's BP in your games and how much effort you put to get yours) alot, an easier time to play as, and I'm looking at solo Qrs, I'm not a big fan of swf, but I have no big problem with them.
It's a small change, but it's a small step to b a l a n c e the two roles.

Yeah, the DbD pass has way to much grind in it. Even f2p games have less grind. Which makes you think, since DbD is a full price game (even though it's often on sale).
It's really weird that dbd isn't a f2p game yet, very grindy in general, the rift is a grind, lots of skins that are very pricy, lots of DLCs that take lots of grinding if you don't think of ever buying them for real money, and that's when you don't include the licensed characters, the bloodweb.. yeah everyone knows it's a big problem.
In my opinion, they should make the game free, it takes such a long time to get a few characters you want for shards, that you'll eventually buy them anyways. This review I saw also agreed on that it should be f2p, and did the math that getting all character dlcs can take around 150 dollars, if you don't wanna grind shards for your entire life, so if you want to get the "entire" game, you need 150 dollars + the 20 dollars you paid for the game itself, crazy ain't it?
But again, this is behaviour, if the game becomes free, how much more grindy would they make it, cause they can easily make it an excuse of "But we made it free, it's totally normal and allowed to make the game even MORE grindy, right? I think we did a pretty good job."
Welp, back to spending the 200k BP we got for like 4 levels, thanks alot behaviour.. Or that measly 10k per day thing we get, I'll spend that to use it on an eboni mori that I was forced to buy.

Really? Feel like I could use this so many times, like when they are not looking behind them and are waiting for the lunge sound cue to use dead hard, or when they wait at a pallet at a jungle jim so you lunge at them, could come at them unexpected.
-
I've also seen awesome cosmetics DBD mobile gets, even for killers! I feel like everyone would want cosmetics and a double, or maybe even a triple bonus BP event; just like DBD mobile. It's a bit disappointing how their mobile game gets more attention from their creators than their more popular version with way more potential.
These are like one of the many reasons that the community is being annoying and are complaining alot. It all seems unnessecary and we sound like a broken record, but in reality we just want this game to succeed, it's the only good one of its kind, and I wish as many others for a miracle, perhaps a christmas miracle, that really signs that the game gets more balanced, enjoyable and tolerating to play.
Oh well, I'm happy with Cheryl's awesome sweater, I'm super surprised that they managed to give a dlc character like cheryl a free cosmetic.

Happy Christmas everyone!
