How is it a faux list, these are genuine problems I come across when I use boons. Also "relit immediately"? 14s-24s doesn't sound that immediate compared to how fast a killer can snuff them.
lol

It isn't OP it has multiple downsides I'd like to list:
- Takes 16-24s to bless the totem
- If you're interrupted all progress is lost
- It has a limited range
- The killer gets a very loud indicator you blessed a totem
- It takes the killer 1s to snuff a totem
- You CANNOT protect them
- You can't use it if all the totems have been cleansed or the only totems available are being used for boons you don't like/need
- You still have to heal yourself once you're done, but it can be risky due to the loud indicator, so if a killer is good with totem locations they can figure out where you are.
It already comes with way too many downsides it doesn't need even more to make it useless.
This is a faux list of "downsides" that completely ignore the tremendous upsides.
Killer is forced to dedicate to chases, even ones they shouldn't, or else the person injured will just run to a corner quickly to heal in a matter of mere seconds.
The Killer has to abandon all chases or gen pressure purely to search and snuff a totem that can be relit immediately at no personal cost.
You don't play Killer, we can tell.
-
What people wanted was a balanced and fair game for both sides.
They got neither.
-
Lmao look at that stupid BS at 1:40, the Meg made the dumbest mistakes possible and STILL makes it to a pallet thanks to Dead Hard.
What an awful, awful perk that genuinely ruins the game.
-
Literally just a free on demand free health state/chase extender.
A exhaustion perk you control with a mere button press should NOT be stronger than other exhaustion perks that have prerequisites, running, jumping from a high place, getting hit, all of which are objectively worse than the one perk that activates on demand with a button.
It also provides total invincibility, even against things like Doctor Shock or Trapper traps. This perk is not fair, and frankly if you removed it from the game entirely, it would be the sweetest change made in YEARS.
-
Whichever one plays like the biggest jackass
So usually Wraith or Bubba
-
Because it has improved in some areas but has become worse in others.
Boons, Dead Hard validation, MMR, etc are really hard in Killers atm.

Fancy language...?
Also, yes, you're (partially) right. However, you are almost certainly not playing against top tier survivors, and there is almost certainly something you're doing wrong that you could improve on. Like I said, you can't just assume that you're playing against high MMR opponents just because your games are hard.
Against regular teams of survivors, even at a "high MMR", killers do have it a little more difficult than they should, but it's not impossible. Again, your original post has some truth to it, but the language and tone is overdramatic to the point of blowing it way out of proportion.
To cap this off: If you're really finding yourself staring at the ready up button and wondering if it's worth the stress, stop playing. If that is genuinely true, you should not be putting yourself through that, it's not healthy.
This is not just a me issue, I have seen countless people talking about how Killer right now against good Survivors is not fun.
And they are right, it's not.
-
Yes, and let Killer grab the one healing too.

@jesterkind said:
There's a kernel of truth here - the killer role is at a bit too much of a time disadvantage - but it's being dressed up in horrendously overdramatic language.
This is not my experience, nor is it an experience you can claim to be universal. Also, you have no proof you're playing at a high MMR, it seems like you're just assuming you're at high MMR because the survivors you're facing are good enough to play well against you, and that's recursive logic that actively stifles any chance of improving at the game.
Also. This is not "the biggest issue". There are a lot of issues for both sides of the game, and more importantly, the game as a whole, and this one is just one of them.
This is a bunch of fancy language meant to try and mask a universally understood issue with the game. Killer against very good Survivors who run meta perks, meta items, map offerings, and of course SWF is EXTREMELY difficult for anyone who is not Nurse.
I feel like I shouldn't even have to argue this, and your comment says more about you than it does me.

The question you really need to ask is, What is causing you stress? Why play something for fun that induces a stress reaction?
Is it just losing? Do you feel helpless as killer? Every game?
Because while I agree that killer can be harder to meet certain win conditions, the mechanics themselves are rather simple. The whole game is.
So is the stress coming from self imposed win conditions? That I guess you don't think you meet enough?
Alter your win conditions and you may find the game more fun.
It comes from playing a basic game and after 1 or 2 chases Gens are flying. The pressure is insane, and there is a reason why Gen regression is so popular. Otherwise the game is often over before you know it.
-
This is like asking if I would refuse a boxing match with Mike Tyson.
I value a fair competition, not a game that is rigged against me from the start.
-
I think MMR straight up is turned off.
-
I like where your head is at, but I don't see what this could offer for Killer when you can simply look around instead.

Zombies are supposed to be dumb. They are zombies. Getting stuck in the scenery is part of their charm.
No, Zombies are supposed to wander around and chase Survivors.
This is literally just excuses for flaws in the AI lol.

@Murgleïs said:
Play corrupt instead, it does the same (it is always the same spawns) and block gens.
Better yet, run them together. Block Gens and you don't have to deal with immersed Survivors.

Haw haw haw, these puns
-
God I hate your predictions, not because they are satirical but because I genuinely expect them to not touch Circle of Healing despite being such unfair garbage.

Not every character needs to be a tier
Every Killer SHOULD be A tier. There should be 0 bad Killers, that is simply poor design.
-
Yes.
/thread

It's the most used Survivor perk for a reason, it's 100% a pure crutch.
-
No because the Dev's are greedy and want to keep selling Mikaela, only at the mere cost of Killer players being ######### miserable.
If they don't nerf it, I'm just not gonna play until they do. I have better used of my time, this game aint worth it, not even close.
-
If it's not bannable, it's permitted
Everything else is the talk of losers
-
Sure why not? It's a game, just give him a parasite and call it a day.

Take a break too because what you're saying are nonsense.
You need a break.
Dude Boons and Dead Hard ruin the game straight up, with DH validation now being a thing and CoH being a free safe area for the team to heal, not dedicating to chases is a death sentence, and if you DO dedicate multiple gens pops.
Ask anyone who plays Killer, it sucks.
-
No need to feel it, it is lol
-
How slow balance changes are.
Perk and map changes should be monthly minimum.
-
Boons and Dead Hard make chases unbearable, and if you chase for more than a minute 3 gens pop.
I'd say take a break until they at least nerf Boons, since I doubt they nerf Dead Hard. It's Survivors biggest crutch.
-
Springtrap lol
-
SWF with all meta perks being too strong for 99% of Killers to deal with
-
@danielmaster87 said:
Same thing with Pyramid Head's power and things like that. The pallet stun rollback takes away everything, not just basic attacks.
Yeah but the issue with Nemesis is that he doesn't even get the pallet break
-
BHVR hasn't even acknowledged them, it is beyond unacceptable.
-
Watch how the best players use it. There lies the answer.
-
I hope you realize you need Killer players for this game to work
-
Because going on a minute long chase results in 3 gens being done.
Simple as that.
-
Cool map with far too many safe pallets.

@KajdanKi said:
Dead hard is a weak perk. Its good against killers who arent experienced. And those we have plenty atm
Dead Hard is the best exhaustion perk by a country mile. The free distance it gives can be game changing, and this is can be spread across multiple Survivors multiple times a match.

People were saying deathslinger needed his instant ads nerfed and the devs did so. People also hated his synergy with moniter so they nerfed that too
Again not a great change because lack of any compensation but they had the right idea.
Billy’s nerf was uncalled for though
All he needed was a cooldown on his ADS, like 2-3 seconds. Instead they actively made their game worse, he feels bad. VERY bad.

„If they don’t directly react to my personal takes on the game they ignore community feedback“
you realize the community consists of more than only top skill players or even just only the forums? They are often listening and even implementing community feedback. It’s just that most of the time there is actually contradicting feedback. And they are factoring in statistics (and no, not only those that they have shown us, that’s pretty much only the tip of the iceberg)
This wouldn't be an issue if they played their game.
They don't, and if they do they certainly are NOT facing top players. These are the people who took 2 years to decide Survivor MMR would be based on escapes.

You can add windows of opportunity, Deathslinger(even if they overdid it) and spirit to that list. They definitely take feedback but not often enough and pretty much never go back on changes they make
Deathslinger got BUTCHERED and I have yet to see anybody who approved of it besides the most staunch Deathslinger haters.
This is the problem, they make changes but are so bull headed about it that even when everyone HATES the changes, they refuse to budge. It's borderline childish, NO ONE wanted Hillbilly to have the overheat mechanic.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
Object of Obsession change was opened up to the community in very early prototype stages to see how they felt about it, DS got changed in a way many requested, Nemesis buffs, Trickster buffs, etc. They do take feedback into account, even if it isn't entirely obvious.
(But no Circle of Healing can perish. Painfully)
Decisive Strike and Object were good changes.
Nemesis and Trickster changed nothing, Trickster is still unfun to go against and Nemesis is still a joke because Survivors have 3 health states against his tentacle. That and his Zombie AI is woefully bad and half the time they get stuck on nothing.
-
It's perfectly balanced now imo
Dead Hard is the bastard child that needs to be taken to the vet and be fixed
-
Top 3 would be imo:
1: Bodyblocking (hostage) and sandbagging
2: Letting Survivor(s) bleed out instead of hooking just to be a jerk
3: Flashlight click spamming
-
That keys were fine and the Hatch nerf should be reverted.
SCREAMS "I only play Survivor".

you cant compare the old undying paired with ruin to boons.
just anything to complain bro.
and I'm not saying boons aren't fair but to compare hexes to boons is just daft honestly
Boons are better than Hex's lol

@dugman said:
The only Boon that seems to require a nerf so far is Circle of Healing. The other two aren’t as powerful or popular as that one. My guess is Mikaela’s balance pass is coming in the next mid-chapter patch so maybe we’ll see CoH get a healing speed decrease then.
Shadow Step is TORTURE on indoor maps.

@GentlemanFridge said:
Yeah but...all 5 of them? I have not once seen all 5 totems become blessed in a match. More often than not, they come back to the spots they already know.
Only until Boons are nerfed

It wouldn't be so bad if the tiles weren't stacked by the main building so hard.
Main building window into an LT tile is no bueno
-
Spine Chill
Pro tip, don't let her be in the middle of the pallet if you can. This is where she can lunge at you best.
-
Not fully, but tapping the exit gate to leave is annoying. Should regress down to 90% or something.
