I've been playing him a bit recently but only as Scratched Mirror. Slaughtering Strike and basekit mori are too lame for me to touch.

Look I understand the frustration, this rework definitely feels like a first draft and I find him a bit of a snore fest when I go against him. Old myers while he had many issues back then really was unique while current one just feels so stripped of personality.

But in the end what can ya do. The game has lost a lot of its style. Same with the killers. Same with the survivors.

  • Okay.

What exactly are you wanting the forums to do about it?

  • I want to try be understanding of this as someone who has pretty bad anxiety as well.

But if a game is making you feel this bad legit maybe just dont play the game….

  • I really can't tell if this term is a meme or people are being serious….

  • Man survivors cant win aye?

    "Gens are going too fast"
    "Survivors are so sweaty"
    "Survivors are not doing gens"

What do the players even want anymore….

They don't buy anything cheaters can unlock any skin for free why would they bother buying anything

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4036203#Comment_4036203

False. It flags the match and saves the record of the match that Behavior can review to see if anything odd happened. They want video evidence as that is even better confirmation that there was cheating happening. It also makes it easy for Behavior to find the match when its flagged to review it thats why you always need to ingame report it first before making manual report to their customer support.

Main problem why the cheaters don't seem to go away is the fact that back in the day Epic game store gave away this game for free so bots created tons of accounts on Epic to unlock the game on them. Now you can get one of those accounts with small payment so even if a hacker gets banned they can just buy new account easily. Blame Epic of the cheaters in this game as they made it easy and cheap to have new accounts.

People also never seem to get that anti-cheat is always running behind the cheats as its meant to detect cheats but it only can find cheats its taught to find and cheaters create new ones all the time to go around the detection rules the anti-cheat is taught to use. Anti-cheat is always coming behind and that is a sad fact and does not really matter what anti-cheat it is.

That is still such a roundabout way to just make a cheating report….. I shouldn't have to make a recording for extra evidence when every other game just makes it a single button to click.

  • Honestly with how bad it is I cant even tell if someone is hacking or if it was a general skillful play.

The subtle cheats people use is legit insane. Any other game as big as DbD would have a way better banning system.

The report button doesn't work because it cant actually track anything that happens in game, only the end game chat and pre game chat. Makes me wonder why the option to report for cheating or unsportsmanlike behavior is even there…

  • In the long run all this back and forth on this anti tunnel and slug system was just a waste of time. Why spend their resources on things they clearly aren't confident on.

    Such a waste.

  • You do realize that gamma options and reshaders are two different things right?

  • @killer_hugs said:

kinda but like what do you think is more advantageous. reshade, or coms. obviously, coms is light years ahead in being advantageous. so as long as they permit SWF i think any discussion on reshade being cheating or not is kind of ridiculous.

See while I agree that coms is 100% unfair we also have to acknowledge that SWF is an intended part of the game which in turn is going to include comms while I would just rather they add voice chat in game. If you're going to play with your friends why would you not use discord? Its still unfair don't get me wrong but reshaders were clearly not an expected thing.

  • I think the biggest problem I find with killer add on's is that most of them are just hot garbage with only a few of them are good (which end up being their meta add ons) and 90% of the time no one uses these garbage add ons so I don't really get this "variety" talk ive seen some people say. But having said that I think if we want balance survivor items need to be brought down and up to the killer add ons (like BNP being removed) or having all adds ons and items being brought to the same level of BNP.

Im just using BNP as an example not as the set standard.

This is just my opinion so have fun telling me how stupid it is :)

  • We already know mft is up for getting a nerf. But a few things to point out.

They didnt nerf Xeno it was a bug fix.

and last point how can you compare a killer power to a survivor perk?

  • If you think this nerf makes the killer unplayable I think you might need to rethink your definition of weak killers.

  • Mate just take the loss and move on....Don't vent on the forums.

  • People already complain about discord comms. Adding this is just going to trigger people even more. I don't see a point.

  • I wish I could turn down the green vomit when infected by plague. Same with the Clowns pink mist like I get its meant to be disorienting but its so strong it actually makes me motion sick.

  • @biggybiggybiggens said:

It's a fun feature but I wouldn't want to see it in solo queue games to be quite honest. Those are already hard and miserable enough as they are and I wouldn't really want to see 2 people getting extra lucky and spawning with No Mither into the game.

Well you're probably already seeing it due to the challenge so it wouldnt change anything about solo Q.

  • @VaporLion said:

i like that but they should give extra bp if you choose to run random perks and remove no mither from the pool.

then that removes the point of it being random.....All perks should be included.

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3478310#Comment_3478310

So in other words, it won't change anything.

People aren't going to run it if they don't want to, and those that do will most likely be players who are competent at running without perks.

Its not meant to change anything.....Its just a feature to use for fun.

Its just nice to have the option to use said feature.

  • After playing since the start of the game my idea is fun is simply running random perks and trying to escape with them or kill the survivors with them. Pretty basic but im past the try hard phase and just take the matches as they come.

I even use a roulette wheel to choose my 4 perks...... I kinda wish the devs would add such a thing to the game. 4 random perks every game.

  • @Pulsar said:

I think he's solid and interesting to play against.

Unfortunately, he doesn't seem super popular. I've seen more Legion's (EIGHT) than Dredge's (3) since the update dropped.

I dunno man.....I feel like the reason people kinda don't want to play him is because there are stronger killers that actually don't have counter play. Why play Dredge when you can play Nurse or Legion.

  • And that is not even close to what im saying....Stop being fragile and looking for arguments that are not even being made.

If you are with your son in the supermarket and he starts yelling and crying because he wants a chocolate, do you think the right idea is to buy it so he stops? Not really, the right answer is to educate him correctly.

Going to exit gates so they can tbag and mock you is literally like buying the chocolate.

Except in this case the survivors arent you children and you can literally force them out. Stop being a baby and just make them leave. If T bagging upsets you that much maybe you shouldnt be playing online games to begin with.

Yeah, pallet camping is a problem, and according to you so is hook camping, your comment above made no sense to me and how are you going to speak for all survivors and say, they're not pallet camping. I know what Pollet camping is I've had survivors wait and hide at palettes just so they can pallets on me, and I wasn't even chasing them or knew they were there. And if palate camping is ok for survivors, then so is hook camping as it's, what killers are supposed to do, you don't get to argue that hook camping is wrong and should be penalized, but survivors can pallet camp and troll the killers just to get some tea bags or make the killer look bad if that's your argument, then it's not going to work either sorry, you as a survivor, cause obviously you don't know what killer is, do not get all that entitlement I've seen troll killers and I've definitely seen troll survivors. It works both the same, so actually maybe, cool look and play killer, because you still don't know what you're talking about

What on earth are you going on about? I've been reading the comments between you and the other person and you are having a completely different argument to what he is saying.

It doesn't block Scratch Marks, that's why I said "anything but scratch marks".

Ah sorry I misread it! Carry on!

  • @Viskod said:

Well, you seem to have misunderstood the new killer and the Dissolution perk and also just not know what you're talking about.

Being able to teleport to any locker on the map from anywhere and from locker to locker and back to your original starting point is about a hell of a lot more than hoping you teleport to a locker with a survivor inside it. I don't think anyone would actually go into playing the Dredge with that in mind as how to use the character. That just doesn't make any sense.

His power is very useful at loops because all you have to do is set down your Remnant and its the equivalent of the Artist placing a Crow. You can't loop there anymore because Dredge will just zip back to his Remnant and smack you.

Dissolution requires you to be chasing a healthy survivor, injure them, and then 3 seconds later for 20 seconds yes, if a survivor vaults a pallet inside the killers terror radius that pallet is broken, and the perk deactivates. So just, hold W and leave the tile or loop around the tile and the pallet. If a Dredge player wasn't using this perk they could just put their Remnant at the Pallet anyway and it'd have the same effect.

This perk would be useless for Plague and Legion because everyone is always going to be injured against Plague so... she won't have any healthy people to hit to activate the perk with, same goes for Legion who doesn't care about dropped pallets anyway because they'll just vault them or they'll be using a Legion Pallet Eating build and they'll break them when they vault them or from Spirit Fury, so there's no point for Legion to use this power either.

It could be good on other M1 killers that need some chase power help and its about time they got some.

There is nothing wrong with Shattered Hope. If a killer wants to dedicate a perk slot to exclusively stomping Boon Totems, then that means you still have 5 chances per map to have a Boon active on the field. This just means you can't keep re-enchanting the same totem over and over and over and setting up camp around it. Think of all the annoying killer perks that can't be brought in this spot instead, and if the survivor team doesn't bring a Boon then your killer just has 3 Perks.

I can't defend Haddie's other two perks much, but Blinding the killer for 30 seconds? A killer that's not able to see anything but Scratch Marks? Not their Generators? Not their Hook and Scourge Hook Auras? No Trap auras for Trapper or Hag? No fountain Auras for Plague? No survivor Aura reading at all?

Yeah, no thanks. That's kind of super annoying. That's a good Perk.

Ah sorry just point I think might be wrong im not 100% sure but I don't think scratch marks count as aura reading so would that perk actually block vision on scratch marks?

  • @SwampDaddy said:

Why have the devs not addressed this issue. I get that flashlights are part of the game. But flashlights need a cooldown. I’m honestly sick and tired of being blinded several times in a row within seconds. Most of the time I don’t even get a chance to look up or away, leaving me rigged for blinding, which isn’t fair. Survivors know this and they exploit it by blinding a killer in quick succession and it’s honestly frustrating. It can be quite toxic sometimes.

If you think current flashlights are bad you clearly werent around when flashlight blinds were instant......

I've been playing games since before the term 'gamer'.

    It...wasn't always like this.

This new 'I get to act like a gigantic smelly butt and if you are annoyed by that it's a you problem' is a pretty new phenomenon.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2680844#Comment_2680844

Well...nothing means anything unless we let it. All language is contextual.

We derive meaning through common consensus.

Shaking hands after a match is commonly agreed on being a sign of mutual respect for the other team and the effort they made, even if they lost.

Refusing to shake hands/yelling an insult at the other team is similarly a sign of disrespect, and a nullification of said effort.

It says a lot about modern culture that the latter is not only considered acceptable because it happens in a videogame - but is somehow taken up as a cause worth defending.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2683643#Comment_2683643

It doesn't even need to be a punishment.

Honestly, just a warning is effective 4/5 times.

After a certain point, you get the community you create - and deserve.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2683612#Comment_2683612

    That said...ugh.

    There's a difference between telling a dark/edgy joke and being a jerk.

One of these things is intended to be funny for both parties, and one is designed to be fun at the expense of the other party.

    As always, context is king.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2683641#Comment_2683641

    See above.

Shaking hands or flipping someone a middle finger after a hard-fought match don't have any intrinsically positive or negative meaning, we assign these things meaning which is why they become common practice.

However, because of this commonly assigned meaning ('teabagging' is basically the gaming equivalent of spitting in someone's face after a match) - we do these activities to communicate a meaning to the other side.

'Teabagging' in this case is basically saying 'lol I wun u suck uninstall' to the other side.

"I've been playing games since before the term 'gamer'.

    It...wasn't always like this.

This new 'I get to act like a gigantic smelly butt and if you are annoyed by that it's a you problem' is a pretty new phenomenon."

You clearly havent played many FPS games......T bagging has been around for....Longer than you think.

The video you sent me got his down because the survivor did not run into a straight line. Get another sample of someone running straight and you are going into cooldown. The moment this Nea started to go around, she lost a lot of distance and it was way closer to the killer giving him only a slight turn on the tree.

"But here you are saying just Brute force it because it is really effective, which would be fine, except he has the ability to instant down on top of this. Imagine if Doctor could instantly break pallets as well as force them to drop them. It would be busted he would need no addons. leatherface has this as well the ability to instant down. Either he needs to have the number of swings severely decreased or the distance that he can gain while swinging is decreased."

Completely disagree and I hate the comparison you made but I will write on it:

Doctor works differently, while he doesn't have such a powerful chase power he has other stuff for himself... he is a RADAR if you know what that means.

Leatherface has absolutely nothing going on for him expect a very top level chase ability, a very lethal chase ability that includes a huge risk that will cause you to lose the entire pressure (tantrum). He has no map mobility, no map awareness built in his base/power, he is a standard 4.6 m/s killer that was buffed in order to get his chasing enhanced, the only possible way to still make its reflection 1:1 to his movie.

By decreasing his swings or the distance you are nerfing his entire chasing potential that already has issues at high MMR where people know how to play. Even at lower MMR, people are there as they are not as good which also imples they cannot perform as well... so that again implies this is not a problem at all (besides the camping issues where I tend to agree). Again, Bubba is all about the chase because otherwise he has nothing... he excels in chasing.

"This is just... disgusting. Only a few killers could have kept up with that survivor, but not only do most of them require actual skill to use, none of them can instantly down."

Sorry but why would you exactly need skill to use when such a survivor is caught in open-space? are you saying that every single kill should be awarded with hard work by the killer even if the survivor has no idea what's happening around him? it doesn't seem correct or fair to me at all.

"Even if lets say she made it to a pallet she would have to have used it to avoid the down, and he still would have just broken it with his chainsaw. If you don't see a problem with that, then I don't know what to tell you."

You really don't know what to tell me because I do believe that'st just fine. The idea is to play very safe against this killer, he does much better in some areas than most others killers and that's not an issue at all, it's actually good by making him unique in his own way. If you do ######### up like the survivor in the clip, I don't know what I should tell to that Nea actually. That was a huge misplay, and you should know that being caught by Leatherface is a death sentence in the open-space, with all you exhaustion perks included.

"I think you are trying to overcomplicate him. Once that window is shut down that loop is gone. Either the survivor makes it to another loop, they throw down the pallet to buy maybe a few more seconds or they go down. There is no need to mind game as he has full control of the chase. On top of the ability to instantly down" - completely false, the T L has 2 windows and can still be played just fine. It only relies on survivor's attention to not ######### up. But let's go on your way and the survivor goes to another loop aka chaining the tiles, after they thrown a pallet, you destroy and have 2 charges left... so the T L wall is still there... why would you not chain it again? you have no way to catch with 2 charges... and also why would you even drop the pallet anyway?

You vault on a window from T L wall, but you do get a little distance before the killer is on your side, since Bamboozle is also very predictable, you have a lot of time to make to a loop in safety without needing to drop a single pallet... and then chain more tiles for saving map resources.

I wish I could downvote some peoples comments on this forum. Sadly BHVR won't let me.

    Specific: T-Bagging

What is worse than a sore loser? A sore winner. As Killer you can't do anything to stop them from leaving. In a few cases the overestimate and get caught, but that good feeling does not erase the other times when they just tease you.

I read many times, that you can just ignore it or don't go to the exit gates. If ignoring it would help, there would not be daily complains about it. And if you don't go to the exit gates, you have to stand somewhere waiting until they leave, a complete time waste.

I am proposing to change that, so you can't crouch at the exit gates and in an area around it, because everybody knows, survivor will just find a way to exploit it.

Nobody would be harmed. It has only positive aspects.

Are you new to online gaming?

    Like genuine question.

  • You guys make it sound like this is going to be a meta perk.

  • I do love how a lot of players are saying "Oh Boons meta here we come plz nerf!!!!!!!!!!!!!" when this is...So far from the truth.

Survivors will never have new meta perks while things like DH,BT,Unbreakabill,Adren and Iron Will. Survivor meta will never change as long as these perks are as strong as they currently are. Notice how the survivor meta hasnt changed in the past....3-4 years? because the devs know how strong these perks are and will NEVER make perks as strong as these again.

Long run people need to stop being drama queens and actually wait for dust to settle before we can claim things are "OP"

On a side note one of the Boons still crashes the game...Circle of Healing we cant even use it yet.

  • Can't believe this ######### is still happening.....I feel for you console players :( I hope you guys find another game that will be worthy of your time and not this steaming pile of crap.

Think fnaf doesn't fit DBD? Think that the game could do without moris and keys? Think a killer should be nerfed?

I'm pretty sure crouching counters most killers, if you can stealth a stealth killer by simply crouching; that says something. Speaking from experience? I've done that several times before.

What's my point? My point is to leave it alone. Chances are is that Iron Will WONT be changed, it's not like having Iron will have changed anything with spirit players; they still get their 4-3K's and we've all seen it multiple, MULTIPLE times. What's the point in complaining about a perk that killers have grown so used to, it's as simple as breathing. No pun intended.

My problem with Iron will is that its a perk from a different time of DbD where everything was over the top and very unbalanced.

The biggest thing killers have in this game is sounds and Iron Will completely negates that with no effort. That is not okay.

This perk is wayyyyy to strong for the value it gives and how easy it is to get said value out of . Just because its been meta since day 1 and killers have ways to work around it doesn't mean its a balanced perk. Look at Dead Hard that perks been around for quite a long time now, killers have ways to work around it but that perk is one of if not the most broken perk in DbD.

Not to mention Hex are far from useless. The single strongest perk killers have is arguably Ruin. Ruin wins games, and you will still get games where it is up all the time and no gens are done and Killer kills all four survivors.

Idk man if a killer isnt 4k every game clearly they are weak.....Survivors arent allowed to counter hex perks.
