i had a match about a week ago where i was going against a ghostface, and he absolutely outplayed me and managed to grab me at a pallet. but even though i saw him grab me and start pulling me back, instead i still ended up sliding across the pallet. so i just stood there and let him hit me because he earned it 100%
-
jesus christ this thread is still going huh?
-
i find it interesting the devs haven't commented on this at all. i've barely gotten any event items in my blood webs as well, but i have plenty of cakes.
-
if i recall correctly, i believe the devs want to make each killer have the same amount of add ons of each rarity. so at some point im sure his add ons will be reworked to fit those requirements
-
ptb:
release:
i dont recall who posted these on the forums but someone else posted this a week or so ago
-
as killer, at least two kills would be a win.
as survivor, at least two of the survivors leaving. whether im included or not doesn't matter, as long as at least two make it out.
-
i've always thought matchmaking should take both rank and character level into account. that way if you're a higher rank but low level, you won't be totally screwed due to lack of perks, items, add ons, learning a new power, ect. but it puts you with high enough rank because you still know the basics like looping and mind games and such. basically rank has to do with general knowledge of the game while level has to do with what you have. maybe even go against people of similar rank but also level.
i dunno, im sure theres many problems with that form of matchmaking but its just my thought

LMAO. No it’s definitely not the same feeling. I know Scooby Doo isn’t slasher or typical horror. It was just an idea because it’s a beloved classic that involves them always running from monsters. So while I’d love to see it happen, I can see other perspectives too :)
Edit: Although Ninjadette is right! They did indeed solve their first adult-like crime scene.
i mean if this game was just chasing then i could definitely see it. its the whole... brutally murdering part i dont feel would fit Scooby Doo. i don't how i would feel seeing Shaggy get a sword shoved in his chest, his tongue ripped out and crushed, then his face bashed into the floor. or any of the other moris
-
I havent really paid any attention to Scooby Doo in the past like 8 years, so correct me if im wrong but... I never got a "slasher" or even "horror" vibe from Scooby Doo. I mean i guess i can see horror, but really only from a child's point of view... Its always just felt like a mystery thing to me. Has something changed with it to make it feel like it would fit dbd? Because i dont really feel like running from a man in a ghost outfit through random doors in a hilarous nonsensical sequence is the same feeling as being sliced, bashed, or chainsawed and then being put on a hook to be sacraficed.
-
From what i've experienced, it seems to fluctuate a lot. Some weeks matchmaking will be fine, then other weeks it'll either be rainbow ranks or just straight up red vs yellow or gray ranks. Matchmaking is just super unreliable
-
theres lots of maps in the game and its back to regular chances to get the new map. so its just bad (or good depending on your view) luck on getting it. i got it a couple days ago but other than that i haven't seen it much since it went back to normal map chances
-
well... yeah. honestly i still forget to even look for the auras
-
Michael Myers, the shape
Leatherface, the cannibal
Freddy Krueger, the nightmare
Amanda, the pig
Danny, the ghostface
demogorgon.... the demogorgon
and pyramid head, the executioner
i only know my killers all that well

Obviously not easy, lol. Most of the time people leave flashlights in chests. 😧
i've been bringing flashlights into matches i got from the blood web and just leaving them at the exit gates in case someone else wants them. im bad at aiming and timing so they're useless to me
-
the pig can t-bag as she is, she just has bad knees ok!
-
i agree with you on a lot of this. i love the game, and theres not really any good games like it. but, the constant bugs and balance issues gets frustrating. i feel like they need to have a year where they only do two dlcs, and the other two dlc slots, one should be focused on fixing the bugs and just over all work on the health of the game, and the second should be to address a bunch of balancing issues. i doubt anything like that will happen though.
as for your last point though i kind of disagree. its a valid point, why isn't more of the money we spend going towards making the game better? you say its better to help them find bugs and give them support, but people in the community do both and as you've said yourself, there are some bugs that have existed for a long, long time. so why should more money not be put towards finally fixing those bugs and speed up fixing new ones?

Yeah, but you know exactly who Trump is.
If Trump realize kids are playing this game, what do you think he will do?
try and fail again

@P1P3DS said:
Fnaf is the definition of a trash and overrated game.
We dont want kids and our game to be censored by trump cause some kids went on a killing spree trying to hook people in the streets..
the games already been pretty censored by the devs themselves, this game coule be WAY more brutal. also, its already been tried and failed:

Which was exactly my point. When it happens to "noname guy" its "not possible" I mean, just this week there was a thread. "Not possible" was the common reply. "You must be DCing over and over" but when its Tru3,... you dont accuse him?
Yet, here we are with the same problem,... someone "I did not DC but got a 24+ hour ban"
but naaah not a problem, only when it affects a streamer. You literally proved my point for me.
@Mikeasaurus said:

But @DrDeepwound does bring up a good point. How many regular players have had this happen to them just because a survivor wanted to be a dick that day? How fast do the Devs jump to a regular players defence in this position? Yes, streamers have a lot of people to back it up, but they shouldn't be the only ones to receive instant fixes when normal players suffer and receive zero help.
i agree entirely, but when it happens to a random player, its one report among hundreds or thousands of other people's reports about a ton of other random stuff. but for Tru3, there were almost 3,000 people there to report it. 3,000 people reporting something gets more attention than one person. i agree, a regular player shouldn't be ignored or shrugged off but its just simple math here, one report with maybe a screenshot as proof, or a live stream with an audience to make noise about it.

yeah ok. Same problem, but when it affects a streamer, "someone get the devs" otherwise people brush it off just as you just did.
because in this case there were almost 3,000 people there to witness it happen live.
-
holy crap, i just went on to the stream to make sure and... yeah, 72 whole hours. i... im genuinely stunned.

Taking a piss yes, but everything else should be done before youre in lobby
Agreed. Only time i dont ready up immediately is if i see all three other people playing as the same survivor, and i decide to play along and make sure i got at least something on whatever survivor they're playing

I don't like the old games, really not at all. But this new stuff is really a good face for the franchise, this thing is honestly just SO haunting.
yup, exactly that. and also the part before with the character telling you to come over to them at the curtains, that parts pretty creepy too. but yeah, when you realize you're a young child who just got killed and see your killer dancing, celebrating, in the distance.

@Semimatic said:
I'd explain it more like this, at least from what I know (apologies for any errors):
- One of the co-owners of the establishment used a recognizable mascot suit to lure gullible children into a backroom, where he eventually killed all of them by a supposed, gruesome murder. The suits doubled as mascots and animatronic entertainers, so essentially, the animatronic parts could be pushed back into the suit for a person to slip inside and wear it for a short duration. He hid the bodies in spare suits and sometimes even inside of the current animatronic entertainers to please his sick mind. Riddled with anxiety and fear of being caught, years later he went back to dismantle the animatronics and suits to hide any evidence. There, he either hallucinated or actually encountered the hauntings of the children he killed, and in a quick attempt to instigate fear in them once more in an attempt to have them leave him alone, he put on the same suit that had double functions. With the moisture of the soon-to-be demolished (and abandoned) building, the suit malfunctioned and an entire endoskeleton frame of an animatronic was forcibly shoved into his body. He sat there as he bled to death, or maybe even as some of his organs were pushed out, it's like one huge SAW trap. By supernatural chance, he survived within the suit. He simultaneously lives in constant pain and in constant planning, a meticulous killer with a deranged mind.
I personally think similar to Stranger Things, FNaF is still aimed towards teenagers and up. Some people think it's aimed towards kids, but even if that's 100% the case, this backstory of f*cked up and I would love to see this utterly evil character added into the game. I think the game was flooded with some kids with the release 6 years ago, but now, I believe the young fanbase is a minority (again, similar to Stranger Things).
yeah don't forget how the pizza party thing ends in FNAF VR. when it sets in what just happened, its a horrifying thought, and its not jumpscare horror.

Iron Maiden. Did that perks usage recently go way up? Its pretty rare from what I recall. That could for sure be it then. Did it used to not show the scream to other survivors? This feels new to me I don't remember the screams being this way and LEgion came out a long time ago now.
theres a few challenges in the archive that require Iron Maiden, so that could very well be why its being used more.
-
could be a few things. Doctor's shock, the perks Infectious Fright and Iron Maiden cause screaming. thats all i can think of off the top of my head
-
they sound like bad pig players to me. why would you go after someone whos going to be doing nothing useful to the team for a while, or be getting a gen done and putting themselves on a death timer? pig's traps are fine as they are.
-
Julie is my favorite of the Legion, i've never even played the others
-
i mean the last of us 2 had a bad story, but i don't feel like it was due to pushing an agenda, at least not the lgbt stuff. Ellie liked girls before this game, we knew that (if you played the dlc) and no one had a problem then.
as for this game, is it relevant? no. but neither is literally any of the story for any character. none of that matters gameplay wise. but the story is there, it has been since the game's released. and as @Orion has pointed out many times, heterosexual relationships has been put in the game since Nurse came out. and now that the original character's stories are being expanded by quite a bit, i don't see why some of them can't turn out to be gay or bi or pan or asexual or whatever. and they could just make new characters who fit into those. and thats just fine by me.
-
i agree yes, but thats not up to the devs to decide
-

I actually do think so. Gens are the same so those gens cosmetics can just be replaced (it's just texture).
Same applies to hooks. Only thing which might take work is adding those hook cosmetics on new maps since they look different.
That's it basically, or am I missing something?
i mean thats fair but, its BHVR, who knows what a simple gen or hook texture change could cause to the game
-
i doubt its anywhere near that easy, but, yes i do agree. that was my first ever event in dbd and i was sad to see it didn't return last summer
-
matchmaking is quite the common problem, yeah
-
i can just imagine how it went if the title is taken literally
"Alright, pig, Amanda? can i call you Amanda? anyway, listen i know you're bleeding out on the floor and everything, but i'm here to make you a deal. i'll let you keep playing the game and all if you come with me, i just need you to put people up on meat hooks so they can be sacrificed to me. deal?... I'll assume your gurgling means yes. ok, just go get a suitcase full of whatever you wanna bring then step into that fog when you're ready. see ya in the fog piggy"
-
@OniKobayashi said:
No.
fair enough
-
i saw that yesterday too and i was very confused. thought maybe it was just a glitched line somehow or something
-
heck no i dont think they can fix matchmaking. they havent been able to fix their current system in years. a brand new system? can't wait to see how that falls apart.

Don't you think that Freedy should be shown in like some really bright brown? It might be confusing with some Perks, which use white aura's.
P.S I love all your ideas for the add-ons & Perks except for "You are mine" since there is already "Monstrous Shrine" although that one is just for the basement hooks.
i just figured brown, even bright brown would probably be hard to see on some maps. but you have a point with the white aura too. but thank you, i spent a couple hours on this so its not the greatest but im glad someone likes it at least. and honestly i forgot monstrous shrine existed :P

Pig was trying to carry survivors to where she saw crowns spawn but by the time she got there they were gone, so instead she downed the survivors and gave them reverse bear traps instead. its not golden and floaty but its something right? dont think David should've tried to leave with it though...
-
yeah unfortunately you're better off trying to get items from chests than finding them in the bloodweb.
-
i found 4 in a match, but they were definitely not all always there. i think the crown might cycle through spawn locations or something
-
@blue4zion said:
Also, as killer it seems you can get rid of it. Twice now I've attacked it trying to lead a survivor to it, and it just vanishes.
Also once when I just swung near it. This made me wonder if they teleport randomly and it was just coincidence?
i think the crowns are time based? i found one and just stood there staring at it to see what happened and it just vanished at some point. didnt swing, didnt even move. so, either its random or based on time... who knows, i really wish the devs gave us any information on this stuff
-
i was playing a match and saw a crown in one place, i tried bringing a survivor to it, but it wasnt there anymore. i found it in a different place later, and again in a different spot later. no one had the glow, so, i think it changes places based on time?
-
I used an ebony mori today to do that tome challenge to kill all 4 survivors because match making is stupid and puts me with purple and red ranks... I felt like crap using it. Never again.

*sad oink noises that there'll never be a Pig Rift Challenge*
i feel you right there. god i'd love to have challenges for the Pig
-
so, what, you want a cool down to crouching and using the flashlight? because i cant see any other way to take either of those out
-
these were made by https://twitter.com/EscaPlays/status/1197690414175784960
i would love to have charms like these, just as a little something.
-
this is why i like to mess around in the lower ranks. hopefully give new players a good first experience. i hook them once, then i just chase them, hurt them, then move on to someone else. maybe do some funny or silly stuff, like pretend to work on a gen as Pig. i just want everyone to have a good time.
