I can't use any items. If i use key, killers insta lobby dodge or decide to afk in game. If lobby has multiple medkit or any item, killers always dodge the lobby. They don't get penalty this is ridicilous. Why killers decide what survivors gonna equip? Recently i saw remove looping post. I am sure developers gonna listen that post and nobody will play survivor anymore. Killers shouldn't see survivors in order to balance
Keys deserve to burn, honestly.
I never (and haven't ever been) dodged for multiple medkits/ tbxs ######### even FLs honestly I don't even run franklins anymore.
survs are like apes they forget you can hear and expect you to play every loop like the last.
It also depends on your rank, region andtime of playing**
Also BHVR won't remove looping, the ENTIRE chase is looping.
If they removed looping then honestly nobody would play killer either, killers get 99% of there hits from mindgames.
So please stop fearmongering and realise that only ######### idiots want looping gone.

Is that why lullaby is getting a buff with undying essentially?
quit this nonsense whining
Ah yes what utility from 2 Perks!
I after 5 hooks get survs to have no sound for SKILLCHECKS, WOWIE!
In no way will my totems ever get broken before 5 hooks!!!!
It's noit like killer that use r+u consistently get there totems broken at 0-3 hooks!
Ah yes, A man of culture,
let's start a petition - my friend:
Huntress' lullaby now needs 12 hooks to be active - is not protected by undying - and will spawn right infront of survivors are the start of the trial.
Sounds like balance to me!!!

Not sure if your over exaggerating or not, but whenever I play as killer 99 times out of 100 the survivors won't say anything, say gg, or actually be nice to me, I rarely ever get disrespectful survivors and I've only come across a small handful of 4 man SWF survivors that are really toxic. Sounds like your just getting unlucky.
High purple ranks, I don't know if it affects it, but I feel like people here are just starting to get cocky and think if the lose then they were scummy if they win then they're literally the messiah of DBD. rarely ever have chill PC players, and if the console scrubs could hate chat me then oh lawd it would be 75% of player not just 75 of PC players.

Third, absolutely, I did this once to a key guy and waited for a EGC kill, gotta say it was a gratifying kill.

Once upon a time, unhooks could only be done from a certain angle. If the Killer stood at this exaxt point, Survivors could not get the prompt for the unhook action, making it impossible. This was referred to as facecamping.
Nowadays, unhooks can be done from any direction, making this act impossible to do.
oh, I see, sounds like something, the devs overlooked before release, as if there wasn't enough oversights and bugs.
thank you for the explanation.

I think this is the only in-game thing a Killer can do that could be considered "toxic".
There is no such thing as facecamping btw, it was patched out years ago. It´s just camping.
Slugging and "Tunneling" I have 0 problems with on either side, it´s just the game.
Playing Killer/Build X is never toxic lmao.
A case could be made for hitting on hook, but it looks too hillarious to be considered malicious imo.
Endgame Chat is another story and not Killer specific.

Bro, down someone hook them, chase another person, down them hook them, patrol some gens, rinse and repeat. Easy peasy, and Unbreakable will never bother you again.
This is not a viable play style if you aren't god of dbd or playing garbage survs.
The fact I have to explain this to you is a testament to your understanding of killer gameplay.

There's one thing I've never understood and it's people's unwillingness to eat DS as fast as possible. It's only one time use. Bait them into using it early and they won't be able to use it when it matters. Then you don't have to worry about it when you're slugging.
Because even 1 DS in a game is absolutely ######### devastating. It's a free heal, a 5 second stun, a wasted chase and a 20 second headstart for the surv

You have 4 people to pick up and hook, why are we focusing on the fact they are getting up? If you didn't try and slug the entire team all at once you'd rarely see Unbreakable, this is a killer problem that killers can avoid yet want to nerf even more perks,
Ah I see now!
"If you weren't so good and killed everyone too quickly you would've won!"
Don't kill everyone too quickly or too slowly and don't you dare use any tactics like camping or slugging!

@EmpireWinner said:
"omg I slugged ALL the survivors for the 4k and did not bother to hook any and lost my pressure" lol
Did it not occur to you that maybe unbreakable is at risk of being used when you slug??? ESPECIALLY when you have 3 slugged and going for another. Go hook and stop being a butthurt baby
yes it is now a risk to kill many survivors quickly!
Such a balanced game!

Yes its 100% the survivors fault but also we play the game to have fun being slugged is not fun. Slugging isnt healthy from a gameplay pov because you arent doing much of the gameplay. What if you are solo and none of your teammates have it and you run the killer until they bleed out and then you finally go down you think that survivor should lose?
Unbreakable is balanced against all killers not just nurse. Slugging survivors was meta in 2016 before bill. The devs have already stated how they dont like slugging nor encourage it. That's why they made bill they didnt want to make it bannable so they gave him a perk to stop it.
So let me ask you if the devs made this perk with the sole responsiblity for it to counter slugging how is it a crutch? Regardless of your skill you will go down at some point if the killers chooses to you will be slugged.
You are entitled to your opinion even if it's wrong and you are so wrong. People will quit the killer queue times will get longer. Why do you think DS is the only thing *good* killers complain about when it comes to the DS/UB combo?
Ok so the survs aren't having fun so we have a terribly unbalanced perk that makes the game unfun for killers by punishing killing everybody too well.

After playing what feels like 100+ games with Trapper over the past few weeks, I am totally burned out of him. I am happy to say that he is the first killer I have gotten to Prestige III. I could have done it a long time ago, but I like to use up all of my add-ons first. That included using the padded jaws, which surprisingly didn't affect my kill rate that much, still getting 3ks and 4ks mostly. I just had to play on top of my game, and use STBFL to synergize with the padded jaws. If you play Trapper, do give them a try sometime. All the prestige costume pieces put together look great, even though I dislike the look of them individually. Blood looks much better on a killer than a survivor. And I am curious, does prestiging actually give you better stuff overall in the bloodweb? I will say, the grind is not okay. I spent 350,000 bp on my newly prestiged Trapper and got to lvl 17. No wonder every killer runs BBQ.
Who will I Prestige 3 next, you may ask? Probably somebody like Hillbilly or Clown who I've gotten Prestige I on. Maybe Blight or Huntress. I'll decide later down the line. Maybe y'all can suggest which P3 costume looks coolest.
This was more of a casual discussion as opposed to balance talk or another one of my decreasingly regular rants. Y'all can respond to anything I've said and I'll try to get back to some of y'all. Take care, and see y'all in the fog.
P Head's overalls look pretty cool and he doesn't have any non bound cosmetics, but if you don't like him myers and billy are constantly acclaimed to look the best out of P3, but again it's your choice they all can look good and it's most important you're actually gonna wanna play them and use them lol.

Voice chat is a thing that exists in any online game. Calling people cowards for wanting to do it is cringe and there's no such thing as "playing the game as intented". People bought this game and they should play it as they wish as long they don't break the rules.
Cowards maybe a but extreme but it's still a ridiculous advantage that exists in no other game, even more than siege.
You know exactly where the killer is when who and what he's doing where the gens are, if he's coming for you, how good they are, trap positions, where all your team is, what gens are being worked on and their progress, if your team has a specific perk and overall allows optimal builds with object and nothing else for info DS UB on all BT on 1/2 and STILL have excess perk room, the game was not designed for an optimal swf with coordination.
Arguing against that fact that it's a ridiculously unfair advantage is just ignorance and a show of their bias.
Sure not all swfs are like that and I'll crush 75% of them with my even intermediate nurse but when I get a full rank 1 swf from bad MM with all that BS I might as well just facecamp to spite them it is unironically the optimal strategy if you get bad MM sweaty SWF, and even then you'll probably 0k cuz of all their BS perks.

You're complaining about something completely normal
You being unprepared is your fault
in any other game I would not go against people 30% higher on the skill spectrum than me
when you reach 30% it kinda becomes irrelevant to say "other games are other games"
by your logic it would also be ok for a first game on any character nurse to go against 4 confident loopers at rank 14.
Just because it's been normalized doesn't make it "good"

If they had genrushed, they would have maybe 10-13k points. The only way they could have gotten as many as they did is if they were actively participating in the trial via chases and altruism to fill up those two catagories as well.
I mean, for a start they cleansed multiple hex totems (3-4), They used DS multiple times, they each got 5K+ for escapes and obsession escaped points, They also worked on gens together a lot, they didn't heal an awful lot.
also I think the 10-13k is a bit misleading by a couple thousand

In this case all players were within six ranks, though. Should a rank 14 and a rank 8 be in the same game? Sure, why not? Rank only correlates with better play, so when you're just a few ranks away it's really not a big deal.
Like, I'm probably a rank 5 survivor right now just because I have barely played since rank reset even though I'm typically rank 1. Ranks are just a really inexact measure of skill.
I don't think you understand that a "few ranks" is actually 30% of the spectrum of ranking this game provides.
This inexact measure of skill is true but it's made so much worse by the fact you aren't even paired with people around your inaccurate level of skill.
Why do you think so many people just quit this game after a few matches? They get paired with good players cuz MM is hot ######### trash and then it's the most unfun thing in the world.
MM IS the biggest problem in this game. It makes every game a roulette of fun, boring or rage inducingly unfair.
I suppose for red ranks it's not at all a problem, you are considerably less likely to get stomped and tbagged and fl clicked for eons on end but right now MM is just hot trash for anything but red ranks who are good and know how to play against everything.

Someone was rank 4 which means there only was 3 ranks of difference, that isn't bad at all, and someone being red rank doesn't make them god tier, it is really easy to be red rank as survivor, just accept it, you're not a good nurse.
are you trolling? You do not calculate overall difference between the lowest number overall you do the highest.
But being red rank does make you massively better than a new purple.
Also I have never said I'm not a good nurse, I'm not salty because I think they're cheating or ######### - I'm mad because MM ######### me like I was bent over and chained up, the MM was not good, also rank is not a measure of skill, and in reality these guys were good but I wasn't, the disparity in skill level was even worse than the disparity in ranks, The MM was bad because it failed to measure skill and even then failed to find fair opponents for me to face based on it's flawed idea of my skill.
You seem to think that I'm being entitled and bratty when I literally just want a suitable enviroment for me to learn a character I admit to being bad at.
The game has failed to allow me to become better and that is my real gripe, I feel like I'm unable to progress due to the way the MM works.
TLDR; I want to be better cuz I'm bad but I am unable to bc of bad MM.

Because you were within 6 ranks of all survivors
I don't think that's a fair, Should A rank 20, a rank 14 and a rank 8 all be in one game? By what you said that is mm working as intended
There's a massive difference between a rank 7 and a rank 1, in fact, you cannot measure it, a rank 1 is the max rank, it doesn't actually measure overall skill (like with all ranks, but in a hypothetical scenario where ranking actually works and measures skill) it just proves that -hypothetically- you have surpassed a skill level.
that survivor could be a fresh rank 1, or the only person worth of rank -20,
also, within 6 ranks? Really? that over 1/4 of the matchmaking rank spectrum.
I think everybody at bare minimum should be within 3 ranks, because a fresh purple can currently go up against a rank 2. what is esentially a slightly skilled green is now going aginst rank 2's and rank 1's and it's just common sense that that is a significant skill gap.
-
@indieeden7 said:
That matchmaking is literally working as intended, OoO is a bit much though I'll give you that.
But another thing is you can't expect people at high ranks to give you a chance because you're new to a certain killer, they have no way of knowing that, especially when you're running good perks on her. If anything, this just illustrates that the devs need to change matchmaking in some way to reflect your performance on all killers.
How is it working as intended?
-
@[Deleted User] said:
the matchmaking actually worked in this case. problem is you don't know how to play nurse and there's no training grounds which dbd mobile has so you're forced to suffer through the pain and learn nurse the hard way
before this I had matches where I actually had fair matches, The problem is inconsistency not having to learn the hard way.
I do agree to an extyent you have to learn the hard way but I should NOT under any circumstances go against people on the high reds as a low purple, if I actually went against purples I would naturally go to red ranks, while learning in purples, it makes it so clear DBD over compensates for mm and doesn't even trust there own games ranking mechanics so much that they just boost every killer with a drop of strength all the way to red ranks

As far as I can tell the 'toxic' level of the community is a greatly exaggerated streotype that I've only run into once or twice. The majority of my end game and pre-game on the rare times I play survivor, are friendly.
I think this is actually very true, but nevertheless you see toxicity from both sides (the higher your rank, the more salty and toxic people are in general).
I still think it's more prevalent than just once or twice per DBD career, it's dependent on when you play, region and rank ( or mmr if it's ever implemented).
But yes this is a very good point that I don't think many see in the community, thank you for that :).

Yeah, to a certain extent I agree but I think this is a more generalized cycle not applicable to just one side, is there a specific reason for survivor to be more toxic?
I totally get killer struggles, I had no joke today got called toxic and sweaty by someone when I was playing my level 12 addonless wraith so is there like something that survivors do specifically that's more toxic?
I just think that it's less of a survivor problem and more of a people problem, some people are dicks but it's not fair to assume that all survs are toxic from 1 game.

Indeed! When I first bought the game I played 99% survivor for a long while, and back then when I played killer it was in very low ranks where people tend to be more chill in my experience, so I did not know what the "true" killer experience was like, and thus I misjudged a lot of situations from my survivor-only POV if that makes sense. Then I started to play more killer, got to rank 1 and continued to play in red ranks somewhat consistently (I tend to depip a lot when I'm practicing Nurse lmao), and I started perceiving a lot of things that as a survivor I had not noticed before.
It's like half of the DBD experience (and toxicity, lol) is hidden from you if you haven't actually played both sides. Basically, awful people are in both sides and you only truly notice when you go against them. You also truly understand what it's like to play survivor and what it's like to play killer when you actually play those roles. Watching the other side from afar without being in their shoes is very, very different & inaccurate imo.
absolutely, I had the exact opposite experience, I played surv at low yellows and I just didn't like it so I switched to killer,
I loved it even with all the toxicity about me being bad, eventually I just got to a point where I had several killers I was good at, every teachable I wanted
but instead of sticking with it to get all teachables and P3 for trapper, demo and billy, I went back to surv, started going with feng, used my already invested levels in meg, claudette all the free characters from before I got DLC and now I have the lithe DWM quick and quiet, disappear build as well as fixated SB
and y'know it just shows that with a few more levels the game just becomes so much more fun, I am sad I can't play surv to grind, tho low BP and not having 5 trillion cakes and/or BPS, wish that surv had a BP bonus and well just the game in general been long since I was hopping from character to character using what I had instead of what I wanted
Suppose it also brings up you're missing half the grind, half the archives, half the perks, half the playstyles, like you said.
I think it's also becuase on forums and such I had mass exposure to people saying everything I didn't know about was surv sided and all that.
I think the community and the devs are both complicit in this, I think the devs don't communicate to us enough nor do they try and address the community about these issues and why they won't do anything / can't / had to do something.
And well the community is the community and we all know how the community is lol.

This is why you always have to encourage, new players especially but everyone in general, to play both sides: it makes people see things from only one side, something I only broke myself recently when I invested in my survivor side;
And I must say, it feels like you opened up your third eye once you get a good feel for how it is for both sides.

I thyink people in this game instead of getting salty and rubbing it off people are just perpetually angry at everything ever they've ever lost against.
Look at twitter, forums, steam discussions and even endgame screenshots themselves and you'll see just how butthurt people get and how they never drop it.
But yeah, it's fun to get a kick out of a salty small pp survivor or a killer who is yelling all sorts of obsenities at you for using DS or hatch ( something my steam comments will gladly tell you about and oh yeah getting a swf to spam your comments is fun (: ) and I'm sure in our earlier hours we have both been giving and receiving these.
Sometimes, it really does make those special wholesome moments truly wholesome.

Do you have a specific reason for this? Not to single you out but I just want to know your thought process.

I know some people don't care about struggle points, probably a lot of killers, probably even some survivors, but it's still points we can't get because the second you are unable to be rescued, you get killed on hook.
May not seem like much, but it's still BP. Would be nice to get them, or an amount equal to what would've been earned by struggling on hook.
No no no. Do you insist on wasting your and killers time just bc of what like less than a 1000 BP you get 900 15BP/s of struggle.
Also just on a note this low key is a reward for getting 4k'd don't give BP cuz they didn't survive, it's called survival points not participation points.
