just block them from the requeue as long as the round is ongoing and take their BPs and pips they would have made this round.
your idea is way too harsh, especially if you had a DC unwillingly (a real connection loss or irl problems forcing you to quit).
i know DCs are very annoying, but your solution is not the right way to go.

oh go get the f outta here! You realize that giving survivors 20% increased movement speed makes them 5% faster than normal killers and basically makes pallet looping infinite right?
that applies to walking, my friend.
walking is currently set somewhere around 50% movement speed, meaning that they would be able to walk at ~70%. killers have a base movement speed of 115%, they will not be outwalked by that perk.

There's nothing wrong with it.. why adjust anything lol
i'd recommend you to check out the post i linked earlier, since there is all the explanation on that matter.
in case you missed it:
@Mister_xD said:
while i do like the perk's general idea, i would like to propose a change to it.
this wouldnt be much of a buff / nerf, rather a QoL change that i think would be better for the perk:
Decisive Strike:
this perk activates after you have been rescued from the hook / unhooked yourself.
While active, perform a difficult skillcheck once the killer picks you up, to escape the killers grasp and stun them for 3/4/5 seconds.
after succesfully striking the killer, you will become their obsession.
only one obsession per trial.
this perk deactivates, once a different survivor has been hooked.
the perk deactivates after succesfully hitting the skillcheck or missing it.
why do i want this change?
the current version of the perk has two main problems in my opinion:
1) the killer can still tunnel, but slug the survivor for 60 seconds, denying the perk in a situation where it should have worked. this also leads to many survivors just jumping into a locker to force the killer to pick them up and apply the perk, which is considered "toxic" by many killers.
2) survivors tend to play very recklessly after their unhook, often going in for unsafe unhooks (especially if they know their mate also has DS) and the killer cant help but choose wrong at this scenario. i have been struck by D-Strikes many times now, even though i attacked the rescuer and not the rescued. this feels very wrong, since i didnt do anything wrong, so id like to remove that aspect of the perk.
this way it would be the anti tunnel perk it was supposed to be and can not be exploited to be a lot weaker than it should be / a lot stronger than it should be.
i am unsure weather the perk should be allowed to activate twice or stay the one time use it is now. please feel free to discuss that down below.
so, what do you think?
do you prefer the current version of DS, or do you think my version would be better - and why do you think so? (please be nice to each other down there, okay? :) )
i wish all of you a wonderful day / night,
may we meet in the fog!
EDIT: i made the perk description more clear and pointed the most important part out.
of course everyone has their own opinion on the perk, but imo a timer is just too vague and can lead to scenarios that feel very wrong - for both sides.
-
i pretty much agree with OP's opinion here.
ive made a similar post a while ago, ill leave it here if you wanna check it out, but its pretty much the same ideas.

Wow. Are killers still bringing up DS? Seriously? Much wow...
you did realize this is actually a buff to the perk, right?

k.
to make up for the upcomming genrush / key escapes i want moris to be build into the killers basekit though.

Soon tm ..... git gud

we should just be allowed to kill survivors on the ground aswell (just like a mori).
that way you can pull them out of the locker, drop them and still kill them.

Yeah but the spirit just seems like a worse nurse, she basically is like the nurse except instead of teleportation you run fast and you cant see survivors I say weak.
spirit is in the top 3 killers though.
you seem to really underestimate her powerlevel.
yes, she si not as strong as nurse or billy, but she is going to dominate the game very easily if you play her right - she does require a lot of training though.
like i said: 3rd best killer in the game - 2nd best at chasing.

Oh you absolutely seem to enjoy second chance perks a lot by that comment.
nah fam, i just thought i'd point out the irony of survivors complaining about the one second chance perk killers have, when their whole meta is made out of second chances.
i didnt say anything like "uuuuh, nerf perk X cuz thats a stupid second chance!" or something like that.
there is a difference between complaining and pointing something out ^^
-
ruleset no. 2 (current ultra rare add on) is basekit.
the new ruleset no. 2 activates the traps as soon as they are put on a survivor, so there is no gen required to let the trap ticking.
thats what i'd do.

Another main killer complaining about stupid things
wait, i am complaining?
did i miss something?
-
hmm...
Ghostface is very fun to play, once you get the hang of it. its actually amazing!
if you're looking for a hard, but rewarding killer, i'd say go for spirit.

A pain to balance of course he will be hard if they don't listen their top players. Legion was the typical exemple in the 2.7.0 PTB.
they listened to the players.
thats what resulted in the legion changes.
please stop acting like old legion was fine and fun, we all know he wasnt - and those changes (that only got rid of all the annoying aspects btw) were needed for the health of the game.
however, i do not support them in their statement that they do not plan to look at legion in the near future, since the killer is in desperade need of a full on power rework imo.
-
its not about them being rare, but them being the ultra rare quality.
ultra rares = game changers
and they are gamechangers alright.

Myers tier 1 already has it.
i know.
thats why i listed him. (GF doesnt have the aura part, but the TR and red stain part, so i still listed him)
pretty sure other stealth killers will get it added to them too though.

That would make it better than M&A and would push that perk away. Very few people use M&A for the increased chase radius. Most M&A builds want the perk for the 8m reduction.
i made it with the intention to have the same TR decrease as M&A tbh.
i wanted people to choose which side effect they prefer: being undetectable for auras or having an increased FoV.
since insidious is ment to make you undetectable, it wouldnt make sense to have a different perk reducing your TR more than insidious, while giving insidious a bigger decrease would have killed M&A. thats why i thought the best thing would be to have both of them decrease the TR by the exact same.
also, having insidious only affecting aura reading would not help the perk, since it would be very situational, so there needed to be a secondary effect.
how about this one instead:
you are immune to any form of aura reading towards you, but whenever a survivor tries to read your aura, they get revealed themselves for 2/3/4 seconds.

I ended up submitting another ticket. We'll see what happens. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, especially if you have the proof through steam screenies, and achievement dates. If it doesn't pan out though, it's not the end of the world. 😄
can you do me a favour and IF you do get them back / if they tell you why it is not possible, update this post accordingly?
i'd like to know if its possible to get them back / if not, why, and since i havent gotten any official respose myself yet, i'd apprecitae it if you did that ^^
thanks in advance!
-
i take Pop goes The Weasel over both of them.
its a consistent perk that rewards for doing good and slows down the game.
i love it!
-
Ace in the Hole, Plunderers Instinct, Urban Evasion, Small Game
feel free to replace Small Game with an exhaustion perk of your choice if you feel like you should last longer in chases / NOED doesnt affect you.
the idea is to find yourself an item and then play accordingly to it.
have fun ^^
-
yeah, i'd like to know that aswell.
last time i talked to support about my loss of progress, i got like 60 million BPs, but no legacy :c
-
noed is good on any killer, as long as the survivors dont cleanse totems that is.
but like you said: survivors do not like that perk. cuz why cleanse totems if you can also complain, am i right?
-
you do get revealed while in the locker entering / exiting animation.
make sure to be inside the locker when your friend gets hooked!
-
pretty sure thats just implemented to name some of the currently unnamed power aspects from certain killers.
Myers tier 1 and Ghostfaces Nightshroud will get it added to them, but i think thats it for now.
there is a possibility for it to get added to other things later on though...
-
what if insidious would reduce your TR by 4/6/8m (does not stack with other perks) and made you immune to aura reading (your aura does not get revealed at any time during the trial)?
i believe that would fix the perk and made it actually worth using from time to time without overpowering it.

Stun animation or stun mechanic?
Because if animation i guess they could add like them holding their head :d
i wouldnt mind both tbh.
i could imagine 2 scenarios:
1) the survivor jumps to the side of the pallet where the otherone (that threw the pallet) is not located and avoids getting hit
2) the survivor gets hit by the pallet, maybe thrown back a little and recovers from the stun similar to a killer, where he holds his head and stands still for a second or two. maybe we could reverse their WASD keys for a few seconds? i wouldnt mind something silly like that xD
it doesnt happen a lot that a survivor gets hit by a pallet, yet i think its a little dumb that the killer gets a stun time and nothing at all happens to the survivor...
i'd sign a petition for that xD

Yes i know that the scream at the start is Meg's scream. When Claudette gets hooked there is some kind of scream which doesn't belong to Claudette and neither Jake.Btw the hook impale sound in that intro sounds way better than the one ingame i just noticed that.
okay, i know which scream you are referring to now and i'd like to say that i am very sure that is not actually her hook scream, but her struggeling when the Trapper grabs her and lifts her up - i am also pretty sure he got his hand covering her mouth there, which is why it sound so "weird"
-
the wiggle feature was not implemented to let you escape from the kilelrs grasp, but to restrice the killers ability to choose a hook for you. without this feature, you would end up in the basement every single time. the killer won the chase and downed you, so he should get his reward : a hook to get his objective done.
if there was any spot on a map where the killer wouldnt be able to hook you, guess where 95% of the survivors would go down?
another thing is, if survivors are guaranteed to get off the shoulder, the killer wont even bother picking them up and rather slug them and let them bleed out, which is unfun for both sides.
with other words: it is not pointless at all and working perfectly fine.

That scream is crap and doesn't even sound like her.
you do know the scream at the very start is meg, right?
claudette doesnt scream - she gets grabbed and hooked out of nowhere and just looks at her shoulder in terror, shock and disbelieve, which makes it much better than any of the screams you hear ingame imo.
its way more realistic.
-
claudette in the trailer that plays when the game starts
-
nice
-
dont worry, you dont get banned for every nonsense.
(i still want a stun animation for survivors though)
-
i dunno why, but i have seen a massive increase of genrushers in green ranks lately...
ita rare for me not to find a SWF group with green toolboxes and BNPs :/
it got me to the point where i actually started equipping NOED on my trapper again, since i just couldnt stand having a 3 or 4 man escape with no gatekeeper emblem anymore...
god we NEED secondary objectives...
-
tbf, those are the only ones that will actually get their noed to pop.
the survivors will predict it for the others and then have the totems cleansed by the time the gates power...
just one of the many reasons why i stopped using the perk...
-
it would also be fine if they finally gave me my legacy back!
i swear to god, im so pissed whenever i read a dev responding to legacy return questions with "but that would be disrespectful to the players who earned their legacys back in the day" - yeah but keeping them locked away after your bug took them from me is much more respectful, right? (i do support them in their opinion to not bring them back for everyone, but cmon. i earned them just like the others!)

Don't listen to @Mister_xD He has no idea what he's talking about. BBQ has only ever showed up in the shrine of secrets 2 times.
oh my, look what treats await you in the shrine this week ^^
now i only hope OP went for freddy xD
-
well, i guess TF2 memes will never die... xD
-
i usually go easy on them and let them escape in the end.
and then the end chart reveals he was the only red rank survivor they had.
idk why, but that happened more than once to me by now xD
-
nothing wrong with that add on
nothing wrong with noed
anything else?

soon the demagorgon, once a feared and almighty monster, will experience how it is to run endless circless around wooden planks and watch its prey leave and taunt it in defeat.
poor thing...
-
@ClogWench said:
No one is saying the hag isn't humanoid. Also Freddy existed in his own realm too so it's nothing new on that front.
the demogorgon is going to be the first real moster we get as a killer.
every other killer used to be a human who snapped and went on a massacre, the demogorgon is just a monster that wants to kill its prey, nothing more nothing less.
i think that's what OP ment by "humanoid" - yes, the demigorgon is a humanoid creature, but in no point in time has it ever been human, unlike all the other DbD killers.
-
ill join the 2.5 club ^^
-
whats your definition of "camping" and "tunneling"?
i just recently got called a "trash tunneler", becuase the claudette that got rescued decided to not even run away, but just start selfcaring right next to the hook i then hooked her rescuer on. of course i redowned and rehooked her, she didnt learn from the mistake and made the exact same again, but ragequit before i had her killed.
and then she got salty in end chat...
-
@thesuicidefox said:
I image it would be 1 survivor with 2 skins like Legion. But it could be 2 completely different survivors as well, however it seems like a lot of work to make 6 perks for that purpose.
agreed.
on top of that, the devs said they wanted to reduce the grind, so creating 2 standalone characters in one chapter would do the exact opposite to that...
-
nope.
its even worse for Beartraps btw.
they dont count at all.
-
its hilarious though when they press spacebar to hit the skillcheck and then accidentally enter a locker mid chase xD
-
yeah, keys should look like this
-
honestly, if it did activate with EGC, there would be no difference...
once you're found after the hatch has been shut, you're dead anyway.
