but only if it only changes the chase music and doesnt replace the heartbeat radius, like its currently the case with demogorgon.
otherwise it'd just be a dead giveaway who the killer is...

There's cool gross and then there's just nasty gross.
The yellow drippy goop stuff was cool. The mutation effects were cool. Foot long toenails are not cool, it's just disgusting. I gag whenever I see it.
well... i mean, her theme was mutated rabbit monster thingy, so those were supposed to be claws i guess?
idk xD
i personally never noticed them though xD

while chucky is not doable from a technical standpoint, i would cringe whenever i see Freddy Fazbear walk through the entitys realm, honestly.

Of course Legion gets no love like always. One new outfit in about 7 months is insane.
i am a little sad too tbh, though i am VERY happy with what we got here!
still, i think legion is a waster opportunity (but there will be a new Halloweed, hopefully a new Hallowed Blight event and then there is a new chance for them to appear ^^)
-
he doesnt need buffs.
he needs a full on power rework.
-
honestly, in terms of toxicity, red ranks are a lot more chill than late green / early purple ranks.
i dont regret getting to rank 5 this season (i know, its not really red ranks yet, though i do face a ton of rank 2 or 3 survivors - and i am on a good way to rank 4 rn :3 )
-
just dont and see how it plays out for you.
basement bubbas / trappers are going to love you, i assure you that!
-
damn...
i LOVE this!
welp, ima gonna prepare my wallet now, this time i am going to get all the killer skins as it seems xD
(my favourite is the clown though... holy ######### he looks great!)

Spirit, but only if it's not super gross. I found the Huntress's HB body skin to be super nasty gross because her toenails are like a foot long.
*shutters*
And before someone says it, no gross is not scary. Gross is gross. When you see a dog turd walking through the park you're not going to be scared of it, you are going to be grossed out by it. And yes, there are plenty examples of gross in horror movies, but the gross is not what makes it scary. It's always something else about it that makes it scary, and gross is just added on. Example zombies. Zombies are gross, but that's not why they are scary. They are scary because they will attack and eat you, and if you get bit you turn into a zombie. However decayed or nasty looking the zombie doesn't change how scary it is, just how disgusted you are to be near it.
weren't the Hallowed Blight skins designed to be gross though?
just saying, there is this slime dripping out of their bodies everywhere, they are horribly disfigured, etc.

i didnt play too much, as i got sick and dint feel like playing tons of DbD.
still got my Ghostface to lvl 50 (currently using up my red moris to get him P2) and Demogorgon to lvl 30.
-
nah, that'd be a little much.
also, thanks to the newest bloodweb changes the gring to max out a character is pretty much cut in half, as you can now gain 2 perks per bloodweb, so imo its fine right now.
on the long run they will have to change things again, of course, but please dont make it too easy to get everything, otherwise i will end up having everything maxed out and dont know what to do, therefore not playing the game anymore until a new killer is out...
-
@PigNRun said:
Despite Blight Ghostface being possible, it wouldnt be available through the event considering they have to pay the license for the character. At the very least, it would be Auric Cells only.
honestly, i would still love to see it happen...
-
no, actually i teabag because i am playing Ghostface and enjoying the fact that i can join them :3
honestly, i dont even care when someone teabags me as Ghostface... i just join them and then magical things happen xD
-
that might actually work...
if i remember correctly they only got the license for the mask, so its up to them how they want to design the character around the mask, as long as they dont touch the mask itself.
it wouldntn be a complete set, though with the allowance of the licenseholders it might be one.
-
free stuff for everyone?
ill take it.
and as long as the pricing isnt too bad, ill probaply also puchase the battle pass.
-
in case you are referring to the Bloody Party Streamers, those were added to celebrate DbD's birthday 2 years ago together with the Survivor Pudding and Escape! Cake.
each fraction got their own offering for double Bloodpoints (Escape! Cake for Survivors and Survivor Pudding for Killers) and then there was one offering, the Bloody Party Streamers, that was given to everyone.
it is not "the survivors offering", its an offering that is ment to be used by those who wish for everyone to gain more points, not just themselves. that includes the other side too. if you wouldnt want the other side to get any points, use the offering that will only grant you the additional Bloodpoints.
can we stop this "us vs them" mindset please?

Your idea is pretty awesome from a gameplay perspective. It would still be quite a grind to obtain all of the perks I. E. The time it will take to grind 4000 shards per perk is much heavier than levelling your characters to 40. However on the upside, you don't have to buy any of the dlcs unless you actually like the characters and expect to enjoy playing them. I think the fact that it will be easier to unlock content currently mostly locked behind a dlc will motivate more people to grind it out.
The discount idea is a nice addition.
The problem I see with your idea is that potential change may lead to a drop in revenue for Bhvr (dlc sales) and thus asking for it may not be a reasonable request.
honestly, i think the reason for one to purchase a DLC should be the new character and playstyles, not because there is this one perk that you have to use if you want to stand a chance.
thats what i hate when i see players ask the community which DLCs they would suggest buying, since even though they really like freddy and find him to be super fun looking, they need hag or leatherface for these must have perks.
a DLC should be sold because players like the contend it provides, not because they dont stand a chance wwithout a certain tool the character comes with.

I’d love Spirit and Plague. If Plague gets one I hope her censor is a Jack O’ Lantern.
I’m pretty sure that Spirit, Plague, and Clown are getting new cosmetics.
I just wonder if the event is gonna be like last years Halloween event where you could only get one cosmetic for free and had to buy the rest or if it’ll be the the New Years event where you could get all the cosmetics for free.
i think its gonna be like last time where you can only get a selected amount of them for free, though i hope they will add new gameplay elements to it!
-
while i do play both, at the end of the season i find myself to be a redrank killer, while my survivors are just somewhere between late green to mid purple rank...
i just enjoy the killer gameplay more...

i mean...
neptunes failure pretty much does that already, so why not? xD

That must be a bug regarding the dream pallets because I distinctly remember the devs saying that whilst the pallet is standing and a sleeping survivor comes into contact with it, there should be collision.
Can this be clarified @Peanits
this might be a bug then...
i just remember last time i played against a fake pallet freddy, they had none.
-
here are the drawbacks to his snares:
1) they only work when you are asleep
2) they have a certain activation time, so they wont catch you unless you run the same loop twice
here are the drawback to the pallets:
1) they only work when you are asleep
2) they dont have collision, so when you can walk through the pallet it is fake
see?
it all comes with downsides...
-
i dont really like lerys, due to there being windows everywhere and sometimes a very annoying 4 window spot (the library (3 windows) and then the room right next to the double window spot also having a window open -.-)
and i havent played enough on Hawkins yet to be able to say anything about this map, so i'll stick with the game.
not a perfect map, though i dont really mind playing on it (both sides btw)
-
i just done see a possibility for them to buff the base power without making him the unfun killer he used to be.
thats why i think he needs a completely new power.
-
since your question was who "deserves" it most, i will go with Trapper.
the fact that he is literally the face of the game, though the devs seem to always forget about him makes me sad... imo he is entitled to get one as soon as possible, just because of him being the mascot of this game.
if you had asked who "needs" it most, i would have picked eigther Legion or Bubba tbh...
-
this should help you fill in future reports.
as you can see, camping is clearly not a reportable offense.
-
thats just as ridiculous as the killer killing 3 or more survivors and depiping.
you clearly won at that point, so you should at least get a safety pip!
-
your mori idea wouldnt work. that way the moris would be 100% pointless offerings and might aswell be in every killers basekit. moris are fine.
your key idea seems like a little overkill to me. i would definitely like to add your first suggestion (only the keyholder escapes) to the dull key, though the skeleton key, as an ultra rare item, deserves to hold this kind of power imo. though i'd like to add that the killer should be able to grab the key user out of the hatch, so that he has a chance to interfere with the survivors escape.
toolboxes are honestly fine, what they need to fix are the general objectives.
and lastly, the instaheal idea is a nice one, though i'd say it would be enough to add a skillcheck to it, similar to the brand new part. lets say a failed skillcheck makes oyu lose the add on and a hit skillcheck will heal the person by 1 health state (so the syringe requires 2 skillchecks). i would like to keep your part where only the add on is lost though.
-
honestly, the lunge makes him a super unique, fun and honestly pretty good killer.
your ability to cut loops with this is just amazing!
-
remove BBQ and killers will riot.
i demand my 2x BPs!
without the ability to make more BPs, the grind would suck all the fun out of this game (it already is very bad, now imagine only making 50% of the BPs you get right now with BBQ, that'D be horrendous!)
not to mention that BBQ was intorduced to be a perk that benefits the survivors just as much as the killer, by luring the killer away from the hook (= anti camping) and encouraging to hook new players (= anti tunneling).
if you wanna remove ruin, thats fine by me i dont run the perk, but then you gotta come up with a different idea to slow the game down. the current gentimes without ruin can be very ridiculous, so especially newer players will suffer from this.
and i honestly dont see the need to remove spine chill... its not even in the current meta, so why did you pick this one?
on the other 3 i do agree they can end up being rather unfun for the other side... though, most of them do come with counterplay attached to them.

Hag she never gets loved.
honestly, hag holds a very close second place for me!
she was designed to have some very creepy cosmetics (as her store cosmetics have shown) and i think a hallowed blight skin could fit her very well.
though, i just cant get that picture of a bright legion mask shining through a deformed monstrosity of a person with mangled arms and legs and the yellow nectar dropping off of it out of my head...
like, that too could look very creepy... (if done right)

You sure the add-ons increase overall trap count and don't just add the traps to your inventory? Seems like it might be a bit OP if the Trapper could have like 5 extra traps on the map.
they increase the overall trap count by adding additional ones to your inventory.
there are always 5 traps scattered around the map, though he has the ability to start with more, which increases the amount of traps in the trial.
sorry if i didnt make that clear.
by "increases the amout of traps by 2" i ment that there will be 2 additional traps in the match, which would be the ones he then starts with.
-
like @thesuicidefox said, Trapper starts with 1 trap in hand and 5 traps scattered around the map.
you can increase your amount of traps by using certain add ons (they stack btw):
- Trapper Sack: increases the amount of traps by 1 and allows you to start with 1 additional trap, aswell as carrying one extra.
- Trapper Bag: increases the amount of traps by 1 and allows you to start with 1 additional trap, aswell as carryig 2 extra.
- Stiched Bag: increases the amount of traps by 2 and allows you to start with 2 additional traps, aswell as carrying 2 extra.
so you have a minimum of 6 traps and a maximum of 9 traps, depending on the add ons of your choice.

No, I don't mean 2000 bloodpoints in each category, just 2000 bloodpoints.
For the second part, the killer can easily double pip by facecamping then, since many people dc when killers do that. If they make killers double pip, then survivors should also do the same when killers dc. I have seen killers dc so many times when survivors are about to escape.
while i doubt these 2k BPs would actually make a difference, i dont see any reason not to reward 2k altruism points (since thats the category that ends up being harder to achieve)
i also edited the main post hours ago adding exactly what you said about killer DCs, so thats a thing.
for the last part, even though i already answered a similar question above, ill write it again:
killing yourself on the hook is already the wrong thing to do. if you do that, you allow the killer to gain additional kills, so you shouldnt do that in general.
in fact, i think rewarding the killer for suicides / DCs would actually discourage survivors from ragequitting / killing themselves on hooks, as they wouldnt want to reward the killer.
fact is, currently tons of survivors quit the game early by one of those two ways just becaue something isnt going the way they wanted it to go. be it because they went down first, be it because its a killer they dont like, be it because they want to deny the killer points, for whatever reason, i dont see why the killer should be punished because someone else decided to pull the plug.
if the killer camps, sit through it. its 2 minutes of your time and you greatly help your team by keeping the killer busy, allowing them to repair gens. if you feel like that doent matter to you, it should also not matter to you when the killer gains boni from it.
and a little addition for @Irvin: the devs stated before that a survivor leaving the game early is supposed to screw the team over.
also this wouldnt at all encourage camping, as you would gain nothing when the survivor has enough braincells to stay on the hook instead of immediately quitting.
-
@joan said:
don't camper, tunnel or slugger. Don't bring moris. Change the SWF matchmaking and DC and suicides will be reduced about 99%
by the same logic i could say "dont play the game and you wont have any DCs and suicides".
ive had countless survivors DC on me, just because they went down.
and i neigther camp, tunnel nor bring moris. i sometimes slug, but only if i down someone and there is another survivor right in front of me.
-
the big difference is, that lobby dodging means you dont start a game, while DCing means that you leave a game in progress.
you can always punish players for leaving a game in progress, but you should never punish players for not playing a game.
-
@arslaN said:
If someone DC's everyone should get 2000 BPs ,not just killer.
Giving killers iridescent emblems for people dcing is a stupid idea. They should just get a safety pip.
for the first part, i answered this in a different response.
to sum it up: it is rather hard to give survivors benefits for someone throwing the game, as their BP categories dont rely on the other survivors as much as the killers rely on them, so we cant just give them 2k BPs in each category.
for the second part, i wouldnt like that.
that way the killer would, again, be punished for someone elses decidion to leave the game, as they wouldnt be able to gain their pip / double pip, just because a different person felt like he doesnt deserve this. that is my main problem with how the system currently works, so yes: a double pip for 4 DCs should be the case.
i also edited the main post, so that it is also clear that the survivors will gain a double pip with 32k BPs, if the killer DCs.

@justarandy said:
U can't stop survivors from hook suiciding because otherwise they will just go afk or meme around, hide in corners, drop all pallets etc.
Just expect survivors to suicide against (prayer beads) spirits etc, noone enjoys these matches
i wont stop them from hook suiciding.
i just want to give the killer something, so they wont be screwed over by a survivors decision to leave the game early - which is the case right now.
-
@Dragonredking said:
Will I do agree something must be made about both, I don't think giving better bp reward will do much, at worse it might incentivize some killer to camp more to try to make the survivor suicide on hook/dc because it will allow him not only to get ride of a survivor quickly, but he'll also get bloodpoint bonuses for doing it.
Also you only adresse the killer side of thing when the most affected by survivor suicide and dc are the survivor that don't suicide and dc
a camping killer wont gain the additional BPs though, unless a survivor does what they are never supposed to do when a killer camps: killing themselves / DCing.
Honestly, i think this would rather encourage survivors to stay and waste the killers time other than rewarding them for their bad play. currently by killing yourself on the hook you already screw the team over by allowing the killer to gain additional kills, though you dont actively reward him as you would with this change - and i doubt anyone would want to reward a camping killer for camping.
now for the second part, yes i only addressed the killer side of this.
though i find it to be very hard to find a balanced solution to it for the survivors.
should everyone gain bonus points, just because someone gave up? for the killer it makes sense, as its their main objective, though for survivors it would seem a little weird (also, in which categories would you give them points? there would only be the altruism categotry to choose from, honestly, as the others are not tied to you playing with the team). on top of that, there is a dev statement out there that someone giving up should be screwing the team over, as one has died very early on (i think this statement was made when someone requested bous repair speed / gens being automatically repaired when someone DCs).
personally i wouldnt mind it too much if there was a "safetynet" that would prevent survivors from depiping if there have been DCs, though this could also be abused easily by SWF groups, where one would just take one for the team, DCs, and then everyone keeps their rank, no matter how badly the killer dominated them.
you see, the survivor side i a little more difficult to solve - though if you have ideas to change that like @Blueberry, please share them!
-
@will_i_am_14_85 said:
if people want to suicide on hook they are going to suicide on hook, they won't be thinking "Damn, if I suicide on hook the killer is going to get more points", they are probably thinking, "######### this ######### i'm out"
that wasnt the main point though.
even when they dont actively think about punishing the killer for X-reason, the killer will still miss out on a lot of BPs and Emblem qualities, which imo has to be changed.
-

I also think they should move more survivor BP's into the struggle phase to further incentivize not killing themselves.

Just in case you accidentally entered nightshroud when you didn't want to
but why woudl that be a bad thing?
i mean, i enter Night Shaud pretty much as soon as it is possible, unless i am standing right in the FoV of a hooked survivor.
there is really no downside to being in nightshroud, so i dont quite understand why one would want to cancel this...
-
why would i want to do that though?
-
played 3 killer games so far and got >100k BPs each.
one as clown, i played normally, though i played nice (no camp / tunnel - everyone got some nice points)
one as Demogorgon, i planned to play nice, and then the first gen popped in less than 30 seconds (i literally had placed 3 portals by that time), so i put quite some work into killing them now (my demogorgon is lvl 1, so i had nothing to back me up) and achieved quite al ot of hooks. in the end, when they powered the gates ive had 3 on deathhook and 1 on his second hook, though 3 were healthy and 1 was injured (just got unhooked), so i went for him, got D-Striked, secured the kill though. tons of salt in end chat for "tunneling" (even though i only did it when the gates were literally open. the entire game before that i wasnt tunneling at all, but hey)
and one as ghostface, where i dominated the game and then instead of killing them ended up farming BPs xD
all in all i'd say a pretty succesfull bloodhunt so far...

there you go.
this should answer your question

the BESTESTEST boi!
-
yes.
because he is a good boi :3
-
freddies dream snares have a certain activation time, so its hard for freddy to use them during a chase, unless you keep running the same loop.
they wont catch you as soon as they are placed, so he eigther has them placed down before you ran into them, or you keep looping him on the same location, so he was able to place them inbetween your loops.
-
first, everyone would be rank 1.
then killers had it very hard to rank up, though survivors had it as easy as before.
and then the emblem system got intorduced - now very few people actually push to rank 1.
lets see what happens next ^^
