Killing himself on the hook instead of DC, unaware changes, unfair changes, waiting for ds time, heavy tunneling, ds mori doesn't save lives...I don't want to say more. I don't even want to give feedback anymore. Just a question to old dbd players again...how do you find this damn game?

I switched my killer mindset to get as many bloodpoints as possible and if I kill any survivor's well be, but i'm getting tired of feeling the constant stress of not even getting my all my BBQ stacks. I'm done convincing the devs that the least they can do for killer's is fix the damn bugs, but they won't listen to killers.

When I'm playing survivor after completing half a gen, I'm bored. Chase's aren't fun to me anymore because killer's are either easily looped or too counterable

The game isn't fun for me anymore, but the reason why I still play is simply because the game has so much potential to better than what it is now, but the devs are too ignorant because they only wanna cater and listen to 1 side of their community.

I scout the forums and see alot of people who want to nerf or rework Mori's. And I'm not gonna lie i was one of those people. I was a surivivor main. But as soon as i started playing Spirit and hit rank 10. IVE LITERALLY HAD 3 GAMES BACK TO BACK WITH 2 PURPLES AND 2 REDS. And I didn't equip a mori for the first two and got my Bottom handed to me. However once I equipped a Ebony Mori, I got a 4k. I think until they fix the ranking system. Mori's are a must for us new killers that are put against these unfair situations.

    Imo IDC about mori's.

From my survivor POV it's a challenge that I thrive on, simply because it excites my blood knowing that I have 2 less lives which makes it more intense and if I escape through the exit gates it feels rewarding.

From my killer POV mori's have already been nerfed and they are fine. It just might be my entitled side talking but I mostly use mori's vs swf so I can take out the strongest survivors and watch the other crumble from stress

    Hello, I'm Desh.

Some of you must have forgotten who created this game. You know, the Devs. The Devs that worked hard at creating what is relatively a great and unique product that you can enjoy with your friends or by yourself. The poor Devs that I constantly see being belittled and harassed in the forums because of something that an individual doesn't like. Not every aspect of the game is going to be perfect, nor will it be tailored to your specific needs. Being absolutely rude to the people who created this content for you to enjoy isn't going to solve anything either.

It takes a lot to build a game, and a lot more to maintain an online game at that. As long as new content comes into the game (content to keep the game fresh and enjoyable for you by the way), there will always be new bugs that will mess with the game. Report the bugs so that the Devs can do their jobs and move on. It needs to be annotated, but adding hate-filled content into the mix isn't aiding anything. If you don't like how something is run (i.e camping, a perk, a killer, etc.), then discuss it in the forums without calling out Devs for being one sided or useless.

It takes time to patch the bugs because you have to find the root of the problem, it takes time to cater to the requests of individuals if it's a good idea because now they have to design what you envisioned and make it fit into the game and keeping it as balanced as possible. If you don't like something, be an adult and state it with facts and reasoning on why you think it is a bad idea.

Just be mature and appreciate the Devs hard work. They don't have to give you new content.

Only reason why I'm against this is simply because the devs are ignoring half of the community that makes it's player base. Anything killers do/any bugs that inconveniences survivors the devs nerf. But anything that annoys killers the devs ignore. For example, it took the devs 7 days to fix the DS bugs, but Nurse's bugs still exist which has been out before her r̶e̶w̶o̶r̶k̶(nerf).

You can't constantly say your gonna do something and not do it without back lash. I appreciate and understand everything they are doing to make the game better, but you can't piss off half your community just keep the other side happy.

Please don't try to spread misinformation, that's totally uncalled for. If you don't want to help the OP, that's fine, but there's no need for that.

Sure! Even though it's not misinformation and y'alls action show it, because bugs that affect killers have been known and haven't been dealt with for 6+ months. But sure, I'll work on keeping a fake attitude next time.

    It's toxic.

You could just say "well played/wp" instead because it's better on both sides to say that. The only time it's okay to say "gg" is if the losing party believes it was a gg and says so first. You come off as cocky and scummy when you say it after a huge victory, especially if the game only lasted like 5 minutes. Let's not feed into toxic behavior, even at this level guys. Start from the bottom and work our way up.

Not trying to be cocky, but I'm going to say gg regardless, and if someone gets salty that's their fault for getting in their feelings because I'm showing good sportsman ship

I like that idea too. My main thought process was because all of the things I listed are only doable if you’re not being tunnelled. So I don’t see the point of DS still being active. I know people like to compare DS and NOED (as seen in this thread) but they cannot be compared. NOED can be prevented from being activated extremely early in a match. DS sometimes has very little counter play. As most people that run it aren’t being tunnelled. They just want to sit and do gens in front of the killers face because they can’t be touched. So many of my friends purposely jump into lockers JUST to use DS. Even when they’re not being chased. They just don’t want the perk going to waste. I don’t agree with this though. It’s a stupid tactic and it shouldn’t be in the game.

That's my other problem with DS. Survivors forcing DS just to use it, and when they force DS they get salty because that could have utlized it in a better position.

NOED really isn't compareable to any survivor perk. I see NOED as survivors fault and punishment for focusing too much on gens.

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

So, before I get into my idea for a change, I just wanted to clear up that I do play survivor a lot, so this is in no way a biased opinion. I try to look at everything from both sides of the playing field. I completely understand why this perk exists, as being tunnelled isn’t fun, however it doesn’t always act in the way it should, which is to prevent being tunnelled. In most games I play it simply acts as a 60 second invincibly shield and I am in no way a saint when it comes to this perk, as I have also gone and sat on gens injured as I know I can’t be grabbed off, or gone for unhooks, cleansed totems, jumped in lockers etc, but as I also play killer frequently I know how annoying this type of play style is. So that’s where my change comes into play.

“Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.

After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60 seconds.

While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.

If you begin to repair a generator, cleanse a totem, heal or unhook another teammate Decisive Strike will automatically deactivate. It will reactivate the next time you are unhooked.”

I think this would be a fair change. As it’ll still operate as intended, which is as an anti-tunnel perk, but if you clearly aren’t being chased anymore, it’ll disable. Plus, the fact you will be able to reactivate it again will still make sure you don’t get tunnelled after your second hook.

    What do you guys think?

Also, I know DS gets some people heated, but please keep this conversation civil. If you have an opposing view or different idea, please be respectful.

I like the idea of deactivating DS, but I don't 100% agree with your idea. I would make it to were healing to the healthy state or hooking another survivor deactivates DS. I am a killer main,I have played a ton of survivor, but I feel that DS should have someone way to be deactivated, and if the devs don't want this, than reduce the timer

This isn’t meant to argue whether DC penalties are right, or to ask for penalties for first hook death because that isn’t coming anytime soon. But for killers if you are just DONE with a game what do you do?

Hide in a corner, hoping they just finish and leave? Myself I just stand by the door and the instant the last gen pops I open the door, then I have two minutes max left.

The scummier alternative I have seen is if they catch one person late and they know the game is over they just face camp.

Had something like this happen to me yesterday. A Ling-Ling decided to killer herself on hook because she stepped in one of my traps. Her swf just came up to me taunting me to kill them. Just walked away from them and they followed me around, or they locker spammed

Playing DBD as killer I always find that Ghostface and Michael for me are always my go-to's but I want a slight change and I am thinking of putting my collated bloodpoints into another killer, (I will definitely purchase the killer if recommended) since I am getting kind of bored with the repetitiveness of the same perks and powers etc. Any suggestions? 👀

Best killer in the game is Nurse, but she takes a ######### ton of practice and mastering especially if your on console, but she has bugs that make her irritating to play

Spirit is the second best killer, but her power requires you to predict survivors and listen since she can't see survivor's when phasing, but she doesn't require as much practice as Nurse.

It's getting really boring and tedious reading killers moaning about DS, Ruin, BT, Adrenaline etc...

Right, I've played rank 1 on both sides of the coin. I enjoy survivor more because i like running around and engaging in chases with the killer. Killer is fun also, it's also easy enough to win as killer even in high ranks.

The DS complaints... DS is used so much because of killers who are lazy and just want an easy kill. While I get that survivors would feel less reluctant to use DS if they weren't getting tunneled every game, I hate running DS it's boring as hell. But sadly I gotta force myself to run it because killers feel like it's fun to instantly down and target a somewhat exposed survivor. You only got yourselves to blame for the high usage of DS.

Ruin... Oh boy I would hate to see how much you guys sucked back when the old ruin was a thing and it got cleansed... Probably a instant DC...why do you guys try and rely on a gen slow down totem to get kills. Devour Hope is a great alternative...if you want to run a hex or even Noed. But there's some good builds out there, make your killer stronger with perks instead of trying to slow the game down.

BT is the same scenario to camping, tunneling killers...we wouldn't run it if killers didn't camp :).

I love when I get a good killer, has good perks... Doesn't tunnel and still gets 3/4 kills. All I seem to get is lazy killers...gen pressure is good.

The main issue with this game is the map sizes. It takes someone like doc a good 30/40 seconds if not more to get across coldwin...map reworks are coming.

I play both sides as well, I just haven't reached red ranks as a solo survivor yet. As a killer main here is my take on the situation

DS: I simply refuse to play in a way that annoys survivors since it increases the chances of them DCing. My only problem with DS is that I shouldn't get hit with DS after hooking another survivor because after that it no longer becomes tunneling and it isn't the killers fault for getting another hook in less than 60s

Ruin and Sally's nerf were unjustified.

PT. 2 of my take is that all this complaining that's going on is because the devs are nerfing everything that's making killers strong and/or viable

  • @Almo said:

I promise the reason for the rework was not to make people stop playing her.

I'm curious as to why the hell did y'all add a cooldown to her basekit? Y'all added a cooldown on top of a cooldown and not only that, y'all added a cooldown to her main source of movement and expect us to run one add on to make up for it which makes her both boring and annoying to play. Nurse is the reason why I switched to PC, because I was having so much fun with her and I wanted to challenge myself by moving to PC so I could deal with survivors that know how to counter her.

Ask me, I'd say y'all are making changes to satisfy survivors without even considering how it would impact killers. For example, y'all 'KNEW' Sally's basekit wasn't the problem with her, it was her add-ons, but y'all nerfed her main source of movement, and didn't even do a survey for her changes because y'all don't give 2 shits about killers.

If y'all are going to keep up with this domino affect of killers getting nerfed, the minimum y'all can do is big fixes for killers so we can enjoy the game and wait patiently for survivor nerfs to balance out the game

Not really as she was always low on the pick rate as the stats are for all platforms and she was always played most on pc only.

She is in 13th place overall and 11th place at red ranks for all platforms which doesn't tell us anything really. I would imagine her pick rate would have went down but how much who knows.

In terms of kill rates the stats were also skewed as they were released at a time when players were trying out the changes and getting used to them. Over all about a 45% kill rate which is actually higher than before (last one was 40%) but at red ranks in the recent stats that increased to around 65%.

We don't know the actual impact and some may see her just as much as before due to what region they play in.

Not trying to be a dick but we don't give a ######### about the stats. The community is more interested in why the devs added 2 cooldowns on top of a cooldown that she had full control over

  • @hex_genrush said:

That’s it the devs wanted people to stop playing her, and they did just that. So many people stopped playing her it’s so sad. She already took so much skill to use, then her addons which were arguably crutch got butchered into meme addons, and DONT even get me started on that long Ass cool down it’s ridiculous. Not to mention all her BUGS THERES SO MANY NURSE BUGS OH MY GOD FIX THEM PLEASE.

If that was their goal than they achieved it, but I personally believe that if they got rid of the bugs she's had since they turned on the servers, she'd be a lot better to play. But god forbid DS was bugged vs Doctor Carter and 7 days later they push a hotfix to fix the DS bug but ignore all other bugs

    @NursesBootie said:

I'm starting to think that this was exactly their goal, because her bugs and every feedback got ignored by the devs for the past couple of months.

Did you notice how they, didn't even do a satisfaction survey for her? Strongly agree that they don't give 2 ######### about Nurse and the communities opinion about her.

Sadly, this is the product of poor killer designs and killer's not being able to excel well in certain things. You just named off killer's with either great map or chase pressure. In order for other killer's to be like that, they have to heavily rely on perks and/or survivor's making mistakes

I'd like to see BHVR buff maps, meaning they're larger so the killer has more things to work with, and of course adding more gameplay mechanics. Hex and the breakable walls (coming in next update) already count as a different gameplay mechanic, so more things like that would be amazing in my opinion.

Here's where I'm going to disagree with you about larger maps. The fact that only 3 killers can keep up map pressure

  • Nerfed

Gen speeds or maps! Gens can go by real quick because of map sizes and the lack of map pressure most killers lack, and I doubt BHVR will do anything about map sizes, which is why I believe gen speeds need to be looked at, but at the same time I feel that nerfing gen speeds might ######### survivors over

    Buffed

Imo I would say make non viable killers viable at basekit. I might be saying this wrong or have the wrong idea. Like Nurse and Spirit, I believe killers should be viable without any add-ons but add ons should give the killers more umph (however the ######### you spell it)

  • The devs know her basekit nerf was overkill, and it's obvious that they don't care. Usually after every nerf or rework they do a satisfaction survey and they didn't do one for Nurse. My second proof that they don't care about Nurse is that they are aware of her bugs that have existed since turning on servers, but they ignore them.

As a former Nurse main, the fact that they added a cooldown on top of a cooldown that she had control over how long it lasted (fatigue) made her unfun and down right boring to play

  • Snares have more benefits and are stronger

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

Everytime a survivor complains about anything they get harassed by killer mains who call them entitled, crybabys or toxic and tell them to git gud instead of just discussing why they disagree with the survivor. Can anyone tell me why? Killers call survivors toxic over everything but insulting someone for there opinion also sounds a bit toxic.

As a killer main, my take on the situation is that we are tired of survivors complaining to get killers nerfed. For example, nurses basekit nerf is unjustified and the devs stated that they added the cooldowns, to give survivors breathing space.

I'm only rude to ignorant and entitled survivors. Yesterday I got into it with a survivor main that said Nurse and Spirit need to be deleted because they avoid looping. I tired offering that survivor counters to them, but they stayed ignorant and said they needed to be deleted, so I just told them to get good

kinda see that the other way around, why put in effort in a game the killer saw fit to completely skew in their favor.

They went for the insta hatchet for an ez game, ok fine, get me, ill die, you get your ez 4k and I can move on to a game with a bit more balance so there is some actual challenge, everyone happy right?

True, but if you actually put in the effort to get better, than the match won't be skewed for example.,

Ah yes cause Iri Head + Infantry belt is fun.

Ah yes cause insta saw is fun

Ah yes cause infinite tier 3 Myers with Infectous, Spirit Fury, Enduring is fun.

Ah yes cause old Frank's mix tape + Cold Dirt was fun

Ah yes cause old Prayer Beads were fun.

Yeah infantry Belt + Iri is fun for me because she still has the same weaknesses

Yeah, instasaw is fun for me because it'll help me get better at going against Billy

Yeah, T3 Myers plus those perks is fun for me, because he can still be looped, and mind gamed

I was a heavy killer main around pre-nerfed Legion so I never got to expirence that legion

Yeah, Prayer Beads Spirit was extremely fun to go against until I got bored going against her, because it became too easy to predict her and track her while phasing because I was too consoious of my surroundings, and I could either hear her footsteps while phasing or the crows would alert me that she was nearby phasing.

Unlike you, I prefer killers that present a challenge to me, it feels rewarding to escape from them

  • 1. Survivors complained. Unlike a certain entitled survivor main that hated Nurse because they couldn't mindlessly loop her, survivors were complaining because of how strong she was

    2. She was over performing. Not sure we're the devs pulled this idea from, but out of all the killer she had the least amount of kills and was used the least amount.

    3. Her nerf came with even more bugs and ruined her. Granted she still wears her crown, but she's boring af and unfun to use now, and is easily countered by Shift + W

  • @notyarbllewe said:

Whenever I was a powerful killer today the rank ~4s killed themselves or let me kill them. One rank 4 literally said they almost dc at the beginning because I was a Huntress with a insta-kill hatchet. Someone killed themselves when I was Spirit. People even let me knock them down freely when I was Legion. Is there a possible way to actually make survivors HAPPIER in a round?

Sadly nothing needs to be done about what your asking. That is the product of survivor entitlement. Survivors see fit to give up instead of putting in effort to improve their gameplay because they are dealing with something that they don't wanna deal with.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fAYoznKPlNg&t=1s

  • Hate to say it, but being obsession is random, not only that. They changed it to where people with DS conflict the killer with who has DS

  • A lot of you survivors are saying "stop tunneling" have y'all considered the fact that a killer can hook 2 other survivors and still get hit with DS?

Interruption actions (grabs) shouldn't trigger DS imo simply because you survivors force DS thinking that the killer will leave you alone, just to only DC or get salty in post game chat.

  • @ALostPuppy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1135719#Comment_1135719

It's not that Spirit presents a challenge, she doesn't present anything to the survivors. She doesn't outplay you either because that would imply there is a way for the other side to actually play around her power. And the problem with spirit is that you don't play around her power, you make a guess based off absolutely nothing that she's phasing or not, or if the spirit just messes up and doesn't phase directly to you. That's not you outplaying her, that's just "you guessed right now you better do it again in 5 seconds". That's not rewarding or fun gameplay, nor is it fun for the spirit because she literally has nothing to think about when she uses her power other than "me hear survivor, me phase to sound and press M1"

That's when I draw a line with you and say "It takes being the monster to understand the monster." I use to be like you and complain about Spirit until I started using her. Yeah sure she doesn't give survivors information (which she shouldn't with the amount of crutch perks survivors have, plus that's the way Spirit is designed it literally tells us tips when we are loading into a match) but if you play her and understand how she has to think than you can outplay her.

One mistake that I see a lot of survivors fall for is her fake phasing when she comes out of phasing or survivors trapping themselves in a loop and letting her keep them in there til her power comes back. If your not in that situation just keep moving

Every killer is counter able with a lack of information. Survivor mains just insist on complaining because it's easier, instead of becoming the monster to understand the monster

  • Before Ruin changes: Too many survivors, just enough killers

After Ruin Changes: Way too many survivors, not enough killers

I could reach red ranks, but I'm having fun being in the green ranks, plus being a red rank killer really feels like I'm being forced to play Nurse or Spirit. I refuse to play survivor until survivor becomes challenging again

  • Strongly agree with this! It's why survivors are still mad about Spirit because "I can't tell when she's phasing" or "I can't loop her"

It's also the reason why I've stopped playing survivor because killers are too counter able. The only killer I enjoy vs now is Spirit because she's threatening. I get a thrill out of being outplayed (and vise versa) because it makes me a better player, but of course the rest of the survivor community doesn't like a killer presenting a challenge

  • Killer main! With killer there is actual skill involved and you have to use your brain. Survivor is just down right boring to me and is the constant same thing over and over again

  • @Happy_trapper010 said:

An idea to balance chases to be more fair for the killer is to gain bloodlust after breaking a pallet while in a chase. Instead of getting looped for 5 gens, one way bloodlust could be improved is whenever a survivor throws a pallet down and runs, the killer would gain a stack.

The way that chases are now survivors can easily loop and run a killer the whole match and keep finding pallets. A more fair way for chases to end quickly could be the bloodlust pallet idea. It makes more sense to gain BL from breaking pallets than to lose it.

I play survivor more than killer but I see how both sides work and think this could be a more interesting change to how chases could happen. It gets boring on both sides when you run the killer around the whole match and only have points in the bold category or as killer losing out on all of the other categories.

This is just an idea, it's not going to be implemented so don't shoot me down please! ;)

Instead of gaining blood lust how about they keep blood lust

Edit: To explain what I mean by keep blood lust, is they stay blood lusted til the chase end. Breaking a pallet resets blood lust, so make it to were it doesn't reset blood lust

So I think most of us can all agree that Hex: Ruin doesn't slow down the game as much as it used to. It still does help slow down the game, but I feel like it is much weaker. To the point where maybe it was over nerfed? I mean it's great to pair with surveillance, but personally I prefer the old version, because I feel it was way harder to get gen rush than it is now. But really my question is, what do you guys think about the new Hex: Ruin? Do you like it how it is now or how it was before? Do you think it should be changed back? Or how can it be better?

The reason why I prefer old ruin, is because it slowed the game down so killer's could have fun and not have to sweat in order to have fun like the way we have to now. Plus as a survivor it gave me a reason to go for great skill checks. But according to the devs the new ruin is a "great late game perk"

  • Survivor:

Medkits: I like running medkits because I despise Self-care, but the fact that I can only get one use out of them no matter the rarity is just plain BS

MoM: Something needed to happen to the perk because it punished M1 killer's, but the fact that they gutted it the way they did was just uncalled for

    Killer:

Nurse: They shouldn't have touched her basekit and the devs knew her basekit wasn't the problem about her

i agree on toolboxes they need to be nerfed. and they will be nerfed now. but other than that, gen speeds are fine.

"only 3 killers can keep insane map pressure" killers aren't supposed to be overpowered. insane map pressure shouldn't exist. good map pressure is a different thing.

this game is now more balanced than ever, and killers STILL complain. because they want to 4k every match and have nothing to worry about.

"but every time they nerf survivor nothing changes about my gameplay. I can still do gens, loop, unhook etc." that's just how the game works, when a killer or survivors get nerfed they can still play the game. it's just going to be harder/different.

survivors have been nerfed to the point that if they stop getting constantly nerfed, killers will complain. even now, the next update will heavily favor killers, but i STILL see a lot of complaining.. because nothing is ever enough for killer mains who need their ez 4k with no gens done

"gen speeds are fine." Sure..., gen speeds are fine because by the time the killer hooks 1 survivor 3 gens pop. Yeah..., gen speeds are fine.

"this game is now more balanced than ever." Sure! Keep in mind that before ruin got nerfed the only thing killer's were complainig about was how strong DS, MoM, etc was because of whatever reason (I never used those perks because they took away all skill), and the only thing that survivor's were complaining about was how strong certain killer's were because they didn't wanna deal with the challenge's the killer's presented them with. But, sure! The game is balanced because survivor's don't have to put in any skill or effort to win, while killer's have to play in a way that they nor survivor's don't like in order to win or have fun.

  • Survivor's simply because they have more tools at their disposal to be toxic.

That's just the way the community is. If a survivor is toxic they are worshiped as gods, killer's being toxic frowned upon

funny because i mostly only see killers complaining here..

"nerf instaheals! nerf toolboxes! nerf DS! nerf BT! nerf adrenaline! too many pallets! nerf balanced landing! nerf gen speeds! nerf dead hard! nerf unbreakable! please make survivors spawn in the dying state because i can't down them in 10 seconds!!!!!!"

i think killers have gotten so much buffs and survivor stuff nerfed but nothing is ever enough for them. they want everything to be as easy as possible. no effort at all just ez 4k every match please devs other survivors did their objective while i camped so gen times need to be nerfed!!!!

"oh my god one survivor escaped this game needs to be fixed it's completely one sided"

"oh now they nerfed an obviously broken killer.. what are we going to do now, this game is so survivor biased"

"nooo my crutch perk got reworked guess i'll leave the game instead of adapting"

So I'm only going to address the things that are relevant to me.

Instaheals never bothered me because they made me a better killer, but the medkit nerf in general was stupid. Toolboxes need to be nerfed to where they don't affect gens, but than again gen speeds are still too fast without toolboxes or perks, because only 3 killers can keep insane map pressure.

The only survivor perks I have a problem with is DS and DH. DS last too long. I was playing a match as Nurse. Survivor got unhooked which activated DS. I had chased and hooked 2 other survivors. When I ran into the survivor that was hooked 2 hooks ago I got hit with DS which really punished me because the other 2 survivors made a bad play. Only reason why I have a problem DH is because it's not being used as intended. "JuSt bAIt DH!" Yeah sure, how do you bait DH when the killer isn't even in a close enough range to the survivor and it's getting used just to get to the next loop.

Yeah sure the devs have been nerfing survivors and I do play survivor, but every time they nerf survivor nothing changes about my gameplay. I can still do gens, loop, unhook etc.

I don't blame the killer community for complaining, right now the game is a bully simulator for survivors, and a ball of stress for killers. Why? Because the devs wanna nerf everything that makes killers stand a chance, and they are fixing to nerf thantaphobia and Dying Light. But it's ok for survivors to run 4 crutch perks. Survivors make a mistake (which killers have to capitalize on) they have crutch perks to help them instantly recover from it. But if a killer stops to sneeze, the exit gates are already opened.

That's why I stopped playing the game. Killer isn't fun anymore, and survivor isn't as challenging as it use to be

They do it because they're bad.

And then Killers complain about Survivors adapting to those "strategies" by (pretty much having to) using perks like Unbreakable, DS, BT etc. to stand a chance and want it nerfed.

At this point i'm convinced Killer mains want survivors to start in dying state or on the hook.

Survivors: I can't hit Ruin skill checks they're too hard and punish me for doing a basic mechanic

    Devs: *Nerf Ruin*

Survivors: I can't mindlessly loop this killer because they're power is unfair and I don't wanna put in the effort or use perks to counter them

    Devs: *Nerf Spirit and Nurse*

Survivors: I still can't mindlessly loop this killer

Survivors: Well, Legion downed me. He's OP, and needs to be nerfed, despite the fact that he outplayed me or I made a mistake and should have thrown the pallet down

Survivors: NOED should be nerfed because it rewards bad gameplay and I shouldn't have to cleanse totems because those aren't objectives

You ask me. Survivors want to spawn in to the match with exit gates opened

  • Was playing in a swf and one of my friends said he was heading towards the killer shack. We heard him but listen. When he told us it was Michael as Michael came into the killer shack we all freaked out and started screaming

  • Imo looping isn't a problem, it's the strength of a looping that's a problem. Imo one thing that would make looping a lot weaker is either removing the red stain, or making the perk Beast of Prey base kit for all killers. I mean yeah sure killer can just walk backwards but on some maps the red stain goes through or can be seen through walls

Nurse, people write her off completely because of a little needed nerf, but she is sitll pretty much the best killer out there easily.

Yes! Nurse is still the best killer in the game, but her nerf did more harm than good to her. Her nerf literally cut all of pressure, and she now suffers a double/triple punishment for using her power. I have used and gotten 4ks with her but she's more boring and frustrating to use because she has to suffer a longer cooldown in which she controlled

  • As a killer the only time I don't give af about bps is when survivors bring toolboxes.

Last time this happened to me was during a double bps. I put on a ebony Mori because they obviously didn't care about the double bps. All the survivors brought bps, with brand new parts. 3 gens were done by the time I hooked the first survivor. They got mad in the post game chat because I mori'd 2 of them and that 1 of them DC'd so the 4th 1 could escape through the hatch, saying they couldn't get any points.

Imo it goes both ways, but each side is too ignorant to notice what the other side is doing

Just finished a match where the survivors had 4 gens done and the killer hadn't gotten a single kill. He had gotten like 3 hooks total, but no kills. As soon as the 4th gen popped the killer started slugging. He got 3 kills that way. I was one of them. No problem. He employed a strategy that works. I was prepared to move on the next match.

But before I get a chance to join a lobby I get a message. This killer is actually taunting me because he won. Telling me I suck and all that jazz. Who knows. Maybe I do suck. But this killer was getting curb stomped until he decided to start slugging. Don't get me wrong.... it's a legit strategy and I don't fault a killer for utilizing it. But if you are getting your derriere handed to you and have to resort to slugging to get kills don't message me afterwards telling me what a great player you are and how much I suck.

I mean if I use a key to escape it's a legal legit strategy, but I'm not going to message the killer afterwards telling them how great I am and how awful they are.

I'm going to share a very special weapon with you that my grandpa gave me. It's called 'ignorance'. If they're being cocky just don't reply. Take the next step in making the game less toxic

I'm curious...how is OoO unfun? only 1 person can be obsession also the killer can see where that survivor is anyway. yes its in the shrine but i don't really see people using it or if they do then i feel like it will be novelty for a few days then no one will care about it. a lot of people probably already have it and don't use it as it is.

if you find OoO unfun then i'm surprised you aren't saying that MYC and IM are unfun for survivors. both of which put you into exposed effect and pretty much alerts the killer where you are. killer can insta down you.

if you are worried about your obsession knowing where you are, then target them first. if they know where you are then you know where they are.

    1. Not much of a difference weather your the obsession or not

    2. It's mostly used amoungst swf so they can get information. Killers location, what the killer is doing. This perk especially unfun for Trapper and Hag because they can see where you placed the trap and disarm them

It's not being ignored. It never has been, even. We mentioned right away that we'll be watching how the changes affect the game and make adjustments as needed. The first part of this are the toolbox changes. Whether or not it'll need further changes beyond that remains to be seen.

Something needs to be done about gen speeds and it needs to happen fast. I don't like attacking you but like @JawsIsTheNextKiller said

    @JawsIsTheNextKiller said:

It needs to be fixed. Not next year, not in six months, not even in the next patch. It needs fixing NOW.

They need to not only look at the win rate of killers since the Ruin nerf, they also need to look at the dropoff in killer numbers.

The devs are unconvinced that there is a problem with gen speeds. Even if they were right, they need to do something before I am the only killer left playing the game.

Killer community is quickly declining. A lot of veteran killers have quit and the remaining killers are holding on by a thread
