I only have 1 intentional DC on my penalties and I DC'd because the swf just walked up to me and told me to kill them so I DC'd because I wasn't having it.
All my other DC's come from dealing with bugs, couldn't cloak as Wraith, couldn't blink with Nurse, got thrown up on hook and got stuck mid screaming animation and there was no sacrifice progress and my teammates couldn't save me and EGC couldn't do anything about it so I got stuck on the hook. And BHVR has no intention of fixing these bugs either

Dude they did not even bother to fix her bugs, like they do not give a ######### about the experience that you do have as a nurse. Honestly this was confirmed when they superfast eliminated the movement speedbug and yet kept every other bug that the killer struggles with as is. And you know this is kinda the consequence of them pushing out content on a set schedule.
Each update/patch brings more bugs and thus they can not fix all of them and hopefully enough people forget about it or simply play another killer as it becomes to frustrating to deal with.
Not only are you spitting hard facts, but usually after any changes that they do, they do a satisfaction survey. Did you not notice how they didn't do a Nurse satisfaction survey?

- I actually consider myself lucky to never have played old Nurse, judging by the amount of people who are upset with her current kit! Thankfully, I can appreciate the way she is now because I have nothing to compare her to. Her cooldown really doesn't bother me whatsoever, as I know that she would be absolutely busted if she didn't have it. I think the best thing that all old Nurse mains could do for themselves is to forget about the old and embrace the new, after all it is just a casual video game and it HAS been 6 months since she was changed. She really is fun to play and extremely powerful, and I almost always have great games with her, and I still haven't encountered a bug so far!
- I do agree, many of her addons are kind of useless (except for niche/meme builds), but that is basically true for most killers, so I wouldn't say that's specifically a Nurse issue, but moreso just a general issue among most killers. Oni has useless addons, Doctor has useless addons, Deathslinger has useless addons, Legion has useless addons, and so on. I think that an overall rework of most killer addons would be great. Also, the only Nurses who get juked by survivors who run in a straight line are blinking too much. She is ONLY .15 slower than a survivor, and people seem to think that she is so slow that the only way she can keep up with people is to blink. This leads to panic blinking and wasting time. When I play Nurse, people hide because they know that I will catch them as soon as I see them, and running in a straight line doesn't work. So, that is a problem with Nurse players, not Nurse herself. Also, to tell you the truth, game developers will generally not listen to the people who main the character when it comes to changing them because the character mains will generally be biased and not know what is best for the overall health of the game. Many people complained when Oni's flick was taken away (for good reason), and while it was returned, it was nerfed to be more healthy for typical gameplay. However, people still seem to think that he is trash even though he isn't whatsoever, he's just hard to play properly. Same for Nurse. And I don't play perfectly in my games, I still miss blinks and blink without both being available, but I still have fun and manage to win more games than not.
All in all, I'm glad there aren't more people playing Nurse properly, as I feel like survivor would then ACTUALLY be a pain in the rear.... 😓
Like I said brother/sister. I have put in the effort to get good with new nurse and I just don't like her because she isn't fun anymore. Even 2 of the communities best Nurse main's said that she isn't fun to play anymore
-
Get rid of her bugs and her CD and rework her add-ons. The deal was to rework her add-ons and instead BHVR lied to us and nerfed her, than left her game breaking bugs intact
-
@Hippie said:
I don't understand all of this hate on Nurse. I never played Nurse before her rework, only afterwards, and I can say that playing her is the most powerful that I've felt as a killer. Being able to bypass stairs and teleport onto balconies, having 32 meters of blink range, being able to ignore pallets + windows and every loop in the game = bad? I have been able to get the 4k in difficult situations playing Nurse where it would have been impossible for any other killer.
I think the problem here is that people just haven't learned to play properly with her new kit. I know that not being able to blink 5 times without having to wait for them to recharge is more difficult, but it's completely manageable. I know from playing against Nurses over a period of time that the typical Nurse is just too impatient. They don't wait for both of their blinks to be available, they blink too OFTEN (big one there), they panic blink and use them hastily without taking time to be accurate, get frustrated and then all 4 survivors escape. The reason that you don't see more Nurse players is because she takes time to learn and experience to perfect, and many players would rather play easier killers like Freddy. It's the same reason that you don't see more Onis (good Onis at least)--he is an excellent killer, but he IS difficult to play and learn to manage his power properly.
I firmly believe that the New Nurse is far more skill-based than the old (from what I've seen), and a well-played Nurse is borderline unstoppable. You can't just play against Nurse players (even in the high ranks) that play poorly and call her a bad killer because she couldn't catch someone who was running in a straight line. That's just the player playing poorly. I hate the idea of changing a killer because they are "too hard to play", especially on this game, since it's well known that DbD is an extremely casual game and many players don't want to take the time + effort to play a killer properly. Using the flannel a few times helps you figure out where you go with how long you hold the button, and if you know how her blink works, then it's usually your fault when you don't catch someone. After the flannel, using her double -blink fatigue duration addons makes her even more scary. I don't mean to come off as being rude or a know-it-all, but I just want people to look at the fact that she can teleport through floors and obstacles, ignore pallets and windows, and realize at face value that she is very strong and nigh unstoppable when played properly.
I have seen many threads with comments such as "balancing the game around bad/low rank players is bad", which is very true. Why is it then that I usually see threads (concerning Nurse) talking about how Nurse is too hard for most people to play and that she needs to be reworked because of that? Isn't that exactly the thing that needs to be avoided, balancing a killer's skill level around inexperienced players?
You need to play old nurse to understand. I myself have put in the time and effort to get good with New Nurse, and here is the problem the we veteran nurse mains have with her. "HER COOLDOWN MAKES HER UNFUN AND BORING TO PLAY"
-
It's funny that her rework literally made all of her main's disappear. I haven't seen a Nurse in quite a while. As a former Nurse main I stopped using her because she feels too punishing to play as and the devs practically slapped a CD on to her main sources of movement

Are infinite loops meant to be infinite or are they exploits? And what do you think of people who got annoyed when infinite loops are getting removed next patch.
they said since Infinite loops are getting nerfed then maybe they should remove bloodlu
Infinitites need to go for the sake of the killer community since only 2 killer's can deal with infinities really well. I'm a ######### survivor and I never depended on infinites. If a survivor had to depend on infinites than they are ######### survivor's. Why? Well BHVR never intended on looping to become a thing which technically means that looping is an exploit, and looping a infinite to me just means that you are trash.
I maybe looking at this wrong because I'm a Spirit main and I hardly ever bloodlust (If a killer BL they need to drop the chace), but if they remove Bloodlust than every loop is probably unsafe and the game would 100% be killer sided

I'm new to the forum. I just recently got the nightmare edition. Birthday gift from my wife. I started using huntress from the start. And I clicked with her. She's fun to use. Has a few flaws. But who doesn't. The Dr it took a minute to get used to. But both are level 23.atm.and I do pretty well with both. Freddy is good cannibal too. But I get more hate when I use the huntress. I don't believe in camping. I hook you then move on. Terrorizing everyone .
Spirit is my go to killer. Was trying to get good with Oni last night and I ran into a swf that bullied me and couldn't walk away with their victory in post game chat! When I ran into them the next match they were salty that I was using Spirit and that they couldn't get any gens done.
-
Since a lot of y'all wanna say that Spirit has no skill. Why don't y'all go into a match without Strider using this add-on and tell me Spirit is brain dead
-
@Reborn2020 said:
That would allow killers to make decisions way faster and would increase queue times overall.
Because if killer see swf killer will either prepare or dodge. What they do now? They check their profiles and dodge or prepare afterwards. Which like i said is only a waste of time. SWF mark would allow killers to prepare instantly.
Before dedicated servers you could tell because swf would spawn into lobby at the same time. They got rid of this with D. Servers because too many killers were lobby dodging and swf weren't having fun because killers would bring sweaty builds and swf didn't want to deal with that.
-
Rank 1 Spirit main here! A lot of y'all sound like you've never played Spirit or haven't put in the effort to challenge yourself with Spirit. Rin requires skill, but part of her difficulty also depends on survivor's. I myself stopped using Stridor on her because it felt unfair, and I love going against survivor's who run Iron Will because it presents a challenge to me.
A lot of y'all sound like the type of people that will literally throw a pallet down and stand their and let her phase to you and hit you.

I don't find it OP, but it is one of the most annoying perks to deal with in the game. I personally hate the perk because it gives no kind of heads up and plus, I can never get the perk to work when I use it

If the killers are overpowered, overbuffed power role as said in this forum nowadays than why the surv que times are bad because less and less killers playing and there are not enough red rank killers? This game should be full of red rank killers and full of purple/green rank survivors in this case, and killer que times should be bad because of everyone wan to play overpowered killers and go easy mode. I just can't understand it.
The reason why their are more survivor's than killer's is because
- Survivor's claim that they wanna play with their friends so they can "Chat while we play" but what they don't realize is that
- Survivor is easy mode
The most common reason I hear from survivor's on why they don't play killer is because
- "Killer is too easy" But they haven't hit purple/red ranks
- "killer is too stressful" Which I don't blame them but you eventually become numb too
- "I don't wanna get a taste of my own medicine" These are usually the survivor's that see from the killer's perspective, but refuse to play killer because they know they wouldn't like the things they do to kills done to them

@Kumnut768 said:
the spirit is consistently ranked as one of the least fun killers to play against, this is because of the complete lack of counterplay and the fact almost everytime she phases its just a 50/50 guess that could go either way, i recently thought of a pretty decent fix to this. now if you have been around for a while you would remeber how the old freddy would have to pull survivors into the dream state with his porwer and during the seven second transition period, freddy would dissapear and reappear with periodically and the minuet amount of really good freddy players knew excactly when he would dissapear and reappear and could use this to make it seem as if he was running one way around a pallet then about 3 seconds later they would appear around the other way and smack you and this could be a really fun addition the game where spirit activites her power a second into her phase she drops like a decoy sort of and you get a red flash on your screen showing that a decoy is there this allows more proper mindgames to be done and allows more counterplay that would make the survivors game more fun

its not broken but could be tweaked so that survivors have more chance than just guessing
Guessing is one of the purposes of Spirit! Even when playing here she has very little information to go off of to find and down a survivor and she's one of the few killer's that if she makes a mistake she deserves to suffer for it. Nerfing Spirit even further will literally make her like Nurse, unfun to play as.
@CosmicParagon said:
Run Iron Will and/or Fixated to delete her power entirely. Spine Chill also tells you if she's phasing or faking it. if she's at a pallet or window, you can also see the shards on her legs/body light up blue
As a Spirit main I can confirm these weaknesses (except you have to legit be skin on skin contact touching her for her shards to light up.) I've learned to play around Iron Will, but Spine Chill is a super kryptonite for her, depending on if the survivor is still running or not, since running footsteps are audible

So red rank killer here tired of stressful games really, time to derank. So only played Nurse like three times before today because she is so hard to play. So today I started playing Nurse! I really want to learn to play her because I'm good with all other killers.
So played 5-6 games today on Xbox and have still not gotten a single kill 😁 Really wish I could just play against low rank survivors to get the games fun for everyone. The survivors I go up against now soon discover how bad I am and literally make fun of me teabagging and running around me. Yes not fun it's embarrasing really. And can't be fun for good survivors playing against a killer that play like a rank 20 killer either 🙄
Is there some other way than just playing games to get better? Any youtuber or something that is helpful? Any tips from you guys?
As a former Nurse main, the best way to get better with Nurse is to lose. The best way to get better with Nurse to
1. Study survivors pathing.
Are they doubling back when you blink? Do they like when I land from my blink?
2. Learn from your mistakes.

As someone who plays both sides about 50:50 and watches a few streamers who play both sides I get to see comments, whining, insults from both angles and it always comes down to one side trying to force their way to play on the other. Here’s the thing though, everyone had a different idea of the “proper way,” to play the game so we can’t go by that. All we can go by is the actual rules that the people who made the game put in them. Just some examples.
Survivors mad the killer didn’t “take it easy,” or farm with them when their first teammate killed himself first hook.
Killers mad that survivors shouldn’t be able to use DS in a locker, or shouldn’t go back to work a gen within that minute of invincibility.
Survivors mad that a killer tunneled them instead of making sure they rotated hooks so everyone got hooked twice before anyone got the death hook.
Killers mad a survivor unhooked right in their face with BT and then that person body blocked for them all to escape safely.
Survivors mad a killer stacked 3 gen slowdown perks and made the game “boring” for them.
Ok! But what if my unwritten rules only affect me!

ruin was never hard to hit in my opinion, insta heals already got nerfed, gen rushing wouldn't be a thing if people knew how to patrol gens and infinites aren't a problem if you just leave the survivor and look for someone else
"gen rushing wouldn't be a thing if people knew how to patrol gens and infinites aren't a problem if you just leave the survivor and look for someone else"
That's the current problem. Most killer's don't have the tools to just drop a chase and go find another survivor or to deal with an infinite. While some killer's powers only excel well in chase's and not map pressure, and some killer's power's excel well with map pressure but not chases. Only 2 killer's can deal with infinites (Nurse and Spirit) and survivor's still want them nerfed despite the fact that the devs already nerfed them for survivor satisfaction.
I hate to say this. I understand that you play killer as well, but it sounds like to me that you need to play different killer's on different maps to understand why these changes are happening. Granted your gonna favor one side more than the other (for example! I play both sides but I prefer killer because it requires more skill), but playing both sides especially at high ranks will open your eyes up even more.

Can we make it to where every time a survivor gets hooked for the first time, they get a 20 second timer going and if they reach the sacrifice state before that timer finishes they get a negative bloodpoint action like say -25,000 bloodpoints which gets subtracted from your account's bloodpoint pool if you didn't make more than that in the match? I can't think of any valid reason that a survivor would reach the sacrifice state from first hook in 20 seconds unless they blew through unhook chances to race to the 2nd state and just refused to struggle to race to the sacrifice state.
While I agree with your idea, the reason why I disagree is because survivor's will always find away to forfeit themselves from a game. You can't control entitlement, it's always gonna be there until they get a taste of it themselves. The only thing that bother's me about the whole situation is that survivor's can find a way to get out of the match because they "aren't having fun" but what about killer's?

Is it really tunneling when your going after the person who made the rescue instead of the person pulled off the hook? You make it sound like the killer shouldn't go after anybody. If you go after the unhooked your tunneling. If you use MYC and chase the rescuer your tunneling. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT US TO DO? Let both of you go?.............on second thought don't answer that. I'm sure plenty of people in here legitimately believe the killer shouldn't go after anybody.
I find it funny when so many survivors say BBQ is OP. When in fact the devs created the perk to encourage killers to stop camping the hooks.
I love using DH. Now that ruin is crap I run DH more often. Most survivors don't look for totems unless there's a notice. DH doesn't give one until 3 stacks and by then I'm not letting you cleanse it.
The reason why it can encourage tunneling is because of it's name sake. You can go after the person that's exposed or go after the person that just got off the hook.
-
@Leader7th said:

IMO I would rather BHVR give killer's away to deactivate the perk by hooking another survivor, since it would still punish non-tunneling killer's for not tunneling.

MYC is actually anti-tunnel because the killer will go for the off-hooker, not the off-hookie.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1205642#Comment_1205642
No, killers are not penalized for camping or tunneling unless, perhaps, it is a SWF team - which is not the majority of teams.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1205587#Comment_1205587
Isn't it a little ironic that the killer who provides and runs BBQ most, is the most renowned face camper? Go figure.
The reason why it is also a anti camping perk is because killer's have to be 32 meter from the hook in order for it to activate if the perk isn't on CD

Make your Choice.
Devour Hope.
BBQ.
It'd be nice to get some more to further encourage killers that it's okay to leave your comfort zone.
One of the reason's why I stopped camping was because I got a taste of it as a survivor and vowed to never camp as a killer again. But I strongly agree with what you are saying. There should be more perks to encourage anti camping.
-
Well you said killer's, but killer's do have a perk that highly encourages them to not camp, but to tunnel. It's called Make Your Choice (MYC), but the perk is underrated, and I see a lot of meta potential in the perks as well.

Its already difficult to play solo survivor. I agree teams of 4 can be a problem, but solo surviving is at the other end of the spectrum here. It’s unfair to be uncoordinated too as most of these killers are built to end chases shortly. Tbh changes that need to be made are Mori’s and keys. That’s it. Gen speed needs to be fast because killers can kill fast.

You act like pulling someone off a generator is a part of their standard kit and is what makes them a stealth killer. Getting the jump on a Survivor where they take an early hit could be all you need to start a nice snowball.
The point that I'm trying to get across is that, if you use your eyes and ears than you won't have to depend on Spine Chill.
-
But is it an easy 4k if you actually use your eyes and ears for any kind of indicator that the killer is near? From my experience Pig is the most quiet killer, and one time she snagged me off a generator and since than I have never been snagged off a generator by here because she has taught me to rely on my eye's. All other stealth killer's have some kind of audible indicator

They've already been nerfed

Nurse is the biggest victim to these bugs, because half the time her bugs won't let her blink. I've called the devs out so many times about bugs, that it's become clear to me that they don't care bugs the affect killers in a negative way, and they don't care about survivor bugs that can be fixed by restarting the game.
Recently I got perma blinded, and the only possible way to undo the bug is to either down and pick up the survivor that blinded you, or get blinded again and hope that it undos the bug.

I am once again calling you out on your bullshit and telling you to "PLAY KILLER FOR A CHANGE!" Don't like being rude but I swear you are one of those survivor mains that refuses to play killer because you "don't wanna deal with what I do to killers" or "killer is too easy" and your probably a rank 15 killer. Play killer at high ranks before you open up your mouth and criticize killer's, because one day the killer community won't exist and you'll be forced to play killer to keep the game alive.
-
All this energy in this post needs to be pointed at Almo since she openly admitted that she was the mastermind about getting the perk nerfed.
The only thing ruin nerf has done for the game is make killer more stressful to play, and I'm pretty sure BHVR refuses see that they ripped a tourniquet off a blown off limb. Nerfing ruin has done nothing but unbalance the game even further, decreased the killer community even further, and force the killer community to play in a way that is unfun for survivors.

Toolboxes were gutted. Doctor has received endless, unnecessary buffs. Sabo was made easier at the cost of only being able to be used sparingly, and the hooks respawn pretty quick. Instaheals were gutted.
Where are the survivor sided changes here??
How many more buffs do you want survivors to have? Survivor meta is literally stacked 2nd chance perks which is annoying for killer's to deal with, with the ######### gen times and the fact that any and everything that makes killer's stand a chance is getting nerfed for the satisfaction of survivor's.
