  • lag switching is as simple as starting up a few downloads while the game plays, there's nothing in the TOS that permits ppl from e.g watching movies while playing or having a family that shares internet, as much as it sucks that's basically it.

If its 1/20 games then a 5 minute break is no problem. At the upside people are less likely to ruin the other 19 times where things work fine for you.

Nah, if I DC sometimes my connection won't come back and sometimes it will be very unstable, I have no way of knowing how long this lasts (don't give me ANY tips here on how to find out, I don't care about this nerdstuff, I mainly have a PC because the games are better, other than that I have 0 knowledge and don't care to learn)

Sometimes the DC was singular, sometimes it can be up to 3 times or a whole day. I usually wait an hour or so after I DC'd 2 times, tough luck but still not my fault.

@Khalednazari , @splatvybz , @Orion yes, yes, and yes. May sound harsh but it really isn't: if your connection is bad, don't play a game that requires a stable connection.

I feel one exception should be made though: if one survivor disconnects early on, then maybe there shouldn't be any penalty for the rest of the players, killer and survivor. 3 guys, 5 gens can be tough for survs and not a challenge for a decent killer, who may prefer to move on to a game with 4 survivors.

It doesn't matter if you think that, the game has no minimum internet requirement.

    You need Ayn Rand. Seriously.

Don't push your nose into other people's business.

Here's the thing, devs didn't put a minimum required internet connection on the store so I guess you have to deal with ppl like me.

I get 670€+390€ in benefits, if I worked I'd earn about as much but with a 40hour/week schedule and without all of the benefits that you get from being jobless.

this is your hypothesis, proven false by direct experience.

It's not a hypothesis, if you are REALLY the last survivor you do not get to struggle, you instantly die. What you described was the killer being stupid and not knowing the timing it takes for you to be actually counted as the last survivor.

The perk doesn't need a change for the 1 in a thousand situation that you're describing.

I don't drive a car without gas either.

+1. Stable and good Internet is a requirement for online gaming, just like any piece of hardware. If you don't have it, don't play games that require it.

Uh yeah actually no, I paid for the game so I get to play it, end of story.

My internet is very unstable since I live in germany which has basically 3rd world grade internet in some regions, it's not my fault (except ofc for voting for parties that chose to build our TV network with a higher priority than internet but nobody ever could've forseen that the internet would be this big 10 years later)

So because you dont have a proper connection, you make all players of the session suffer with you?

I live in germany too btw

I was about to say...I play with plenty of gamers from Germany that don't have terrible internet.

Gratz, I'm on one of the worst providers here but I save 10€/month that way, I don't have a job so 10€ is alot for me.

Everyone else also paid for the game, but they don't have a choice not to play with you in their lobbies. Survivors don't have the choice not to play with a teammate/against a Killer who might disconnect at any point for any reason, and neither do Killers.
You are purposefully making the game worse for everyone just because you can't take personal responsibility and play within your limits.

Take personal responsibility? What am I supposed to do? Move? ´Living in germany is pretty hard, it's not simple to just move here like it's for example in the US where everything just gets handed to you. Inform myself everytime when problems are known and don't play then? LOL it's just a fuggin game, I'm not gonna put any work into it just to appease you.

  • I don't get how this is a discussion. If a player finds an exploit he should get banned if he repeatedly abuses it, this is commonly accepted for most ACTUAL gamers.

  • Uh no, if the community finds an exploit the community is still being punished in most games where the dev's have some selfrespect over salesnumbers.

Look at WoW, tons of people exploited warmode by wintrading, they got banned, the exploit never got fixed.
Duping is also an exploit found often in RPGs, guess what. You get banned for abusing it.

While I hate lagswitchers I don't really feel bad for a guy who's known for being toxic and running in an SWF squad which is basically cheating too.

So yes, the game is cheaterinfested, what's new.

    1. Depends on your definition of "toxic". If you mean using the perks in the game as well as items, then no. That's not toxic. That's using existing game mechanics.
    2. SWF isn't cheating. Again, it's an existing game mechanic. Frankly, it's a game mechanic that makes for easy kills due to survivors basically throwing themselves at you if you down one of their friends.

Voicechat is not something provided by a game, it's mostly accepted because the game would die without it or make much less cash but let's call a spade a spade.

Once a third party program gets used (discord/ts3) you get many infos that weren't intended to be given to you as a survivor.

The 3 of you just proved my point I made earlier that you won't call out the bs some killer mains spew then turn around and say it's survivor sided. You can say what you want about Senz but he has a point about what he said.

Whatever points he may have gets drowned out by his juvenile attitude. Here's a mockup of pretty much any SenzuDuck post.

    (Killer Says Something)
SD: LULZ 4K Entitlement! (Pointless rant about things killer never mentioned)

(Killer Comments Back, possibly paraphrasing something SD insinuated or outright said)
SD: LULZ Not what I said! Quote where I said those EXACT WORDS! LULZ words in my mouth hur!

And then he'll finish up with some trite and juvenile poke that only he finds funny.

Again, whatever points he may make are bookended by obnoxious troll behavior that seriously needs to be ignored. At this point, those of us who respond to him or talk about him are just as much at fault as he is for allowing him to derail a thread, which I'm assuming is his entire point to begin with. Which is ridiculous of course because the Devs have not once looked at a thread where a killer said something and said to themselves, "Whoa, SD didn't mention 4k entitlement...the killer must have a point!"

Regardless, I am done talking to or about SD. It's what he wants, attention, and it's the one thing that we (as a forum) sincerely need to deny him.

I noticed quite a few survivor trolls on this forum, will just ignore them from now on. Can't argue with ppl who think selfcare is balanced, a perk that gets 98% use, might as well make that ######### baseline.

  • Once survivors catch on about her glimmering when she uses her power she will be #########.

  • The survivor circlejerk here is ridiculous it's as bad as the steamforums but it's to be expected when ppl get coddled for years, what I propose would make the game not only better but challenging, lowranksurvivors would have to get good and the killrates would probably be more around 3k/match which is also more fun for survivors than just escaping.

That's honestly what they need to do. Get rid of the cooldown and let her charge her power while moving. Then lower her to Nurse speed. Make her basically HAVE to use her power to get a hit, like a different flavor of Nurse.

Both would be high skillcap / low skill floor Killers. Except she can be juked in different ways (standing still, crouching, doubling back, etc) as opposed to Nurse and still suffers from the weakness of having to obey the laws of terrain / pallets / windows. Upside would be that she doesn't suffer from fatigue and obviously she has the whole invisibility thing going for her until the survivors notice her jet engine sounds.

She would be unplayable then, getting a hit on survivors that know how to work around her ability is already getting unlikely

Killer abilities have to have downsides, it can't all be upsides to using abilities, obviously they have counters.

So where's the downside to selfcare? Oh wait, only killers need to have downsides in a game that is pitted against them. Gotcha

    You're ridiculous.

BBQ has a downside, just hide, nurses has a downside just don't heal in TR, Enduring saves you like what...1 sec on a pallet? softcounters a broken perk like DS?

And don't give me the spirit fury+enduring combo BS, that's ONLY a free hit if there isn't another window/pallet nearby, you still gain about 20 metres of distance.

Self-care doesn't help in chases or completing gens

    checkmate

All 4 members of the survivor team damaged? nah, doesn't matter they will just heal up with selfcare in btw less time than it takes them to heal each other. Thanatophobia is complete garbage due to Selfcare.

But survivors need selfcare ontop of instaheal medkits, DS and Adrenaline, which effectively means a killer has to hit you 5 times before he can hook you if you play absolutely perfect, no issues there nope.

Add on top of that list the sheer amount of pallets and the 0 effort it takes to find them unless they've been used up already by somebody else and you can easily run around a killer for 2+ mins

If you damage all 4 team mates and loose all of them at the same time you should quit the game imo.

Hitting all 4 teammates should be a tactic that is worth following, currently the game does 1 thing: Reward tunneling which is not fun at all, getting hit as a survivor is unconsequential, the amount of time it takes to heal up is often less than the amount of time it takes to get hit in the first place.

There's only 2 killers who can effectively play with BBQ, from the others you can indeed just hide. Yeah as others have said, ur just a biased survivor main never once have I thought to myself "mhhh BBQ and chilli is pretty OP on this non-Nurse/Billy. Also Marth88 is the same guy that got a 100+ win streak in death garden and called it balanced.

He also got a 100+ winstreak with his depip squad yet you don't call that unbalanced.

As said having a huge winstreak doesn't prove anything, I had huge winrates of up to 80+% with characters that most people consider garbage tier, heck even as freddy I didn't even depip ONCE until I hit R2 (and btw with freddy I don't dodge haddonfield, I dodge it with the spirit because the windows on the second floor make her unplayable there, I had way to many survivors figure out that she can't vault windows in spirit form and used the balconies as save havens to heal up)

Heck I had about a 90% winrate with freddy when running a certain build until R1 and I still call him garbage tier.

Oh and like any guy who puts thousands of hours into this game marth88 runs the killer around for at least 2 minutes before going down, do you call that balanced?

  • nobody cares about your little circlejerk, not powerbats not your 10 viewers.

Survivors are overpowered which is just a fact stated by most good killer mains, what you say doesn't matter, ppl like Truetalent, Hybridpanda and Marth88 will all agree on this.

So where's the downside to selfcare? Oh wait, only killers need to have downsides in a game that is pitted against them. Gotcha

Oh not this whine fest rant excuse again there's several counters that killers arealdy do.

    Tunneling

    Camping

    Nurses Calling

    Thanatobia

    Sloppy Butcher

    Stridor

    Bloodhound

Oh and last but not least killers that pay attention to what's going on around them so they can get those survivors trying to use said Self Care.

ROFL calling bloodhound stridor and thana counters to selfcare. Also nurses calling only works against survivors who heal inside the terror radius, what's next? Coulrophobia?

They all help you track down said injured survivor so they can't use SC or is it only smart killers that don't rage quit maps they don't like that know this?

Bloodhound doesn't help you track down injured survivors, same goes for NC (unless the surv is stupid and heals in your terror radius) and sloppy butcher, they only help you track mid chase in which case I ask you why the ######### you don't use geforce experience instead to highlight blood anyways

When I feel like it I turn the game so bright that there's no way to lose survivors in the first place.

  • your IQ must be low as heck, there's pallets LITERALLY every 5 metres in this game on certain maps and you expect me to play this broken bullshit? heck there's maps where there's a pallet next to a pallet next to a window next to a second window? LOL you got people like Truetalent who are WAY beyond what you'll ever reach call this ######### out and you with your low skill ceiling sit there and you're like: this is fine.

Survivors got second chances stacked on second chances stacked on second chances quite literally in this game while a killer has no failsafe mechanic.

  • Yes because survivors need aura reading perks to complement dat SWF

  • ask the toxic "killers are fine" ppl who think it's fair that the game has literal safespaces built into them rofl

  • LoL at easily 4k'ing an SWF lowrank survivor team with ppl that literally run into your arms, most of these guys play for fun, unhook each other because they're friends, go play against tryhards with the spirit and see how well you do. I'm talking about the guys who genrush the ######### out of you with toolboxes, not the average SWF that tries to save each other.

And don't give me the "yeah well, 4 purple items with 4times DS happens but it's not often" BS, the fact that this can happen at all is already a failure on the dev's part. If you're like me and have a much to big ego to derank then ur stuck at R1 in about 8 hours of playtime which you btw easily top. Yeah being R1 doesn't mean much but if it's almost end of the month and ur still gimping around R5+ without depipping on purpose then that means u don't do as well as ur claiming.

I couldn't even derank to 5+ WITHOUT using perks on the lowest garbage tier killers

Imagine chasing an injured person and downing them so they can't self care, they complain about self care and not enough survivors juking, until they get juked by a selfcaring survivor and then complain about self care instead.

"just break the chase if you can't catch somebody, apply pressure to more than 1 target"

"also hardcore follow the guy you injured"

    ~rank5+ pleb.

I get to r1 without even trying, heck I can't even depip on purpose and here comes pro survivor main telling me how to play ROFL. Heck at your rank I played freddy without any perks except for BBQ and still ######### 4k'd, does that mean the game is fine? heck no, they still need to remove the loop safespaces then we could talk. There's no point in removing tons of pallets other than frustrating lowrank survivors through that when you have loops that take 1+ min of a killers time to even get 1 hit.

I watched your vid, you do realize that if you ran at 90% speed that you would'Ve gotten dunked on HARD in your game right? a game where survs didnt manage to find the totem

  • So tell me who the ######### would be able to play her if you cannot see survivors, you cannot track them (and don't tell me you are able to land a hit on them with how bad even with predator scratchmarks are unless they run into stuff like windows/pallets) and on top of that you'Re also slower than them ROFL. When I think the devs have bad Ideas I listen to crap like this.

And why the heck would only killers have to be hard to play when there's literally no skill involved in running from 1 pallet/window to the next and holding m1 on a gen

Love how they buffed her cooldown even though they said they wouldn't

Because they have no clue what they're doing. Her power would still be weak compared to billy or even nurse, even if she had no cooldown.

  • Killers are fine ~ Survivorplayers

    What's new.

I wouldn'T have an issue with the current balance if ranks didn't exist and we got more mixed games.

As somebody who plays survivor alot, facecamping is fine, just deal with it it's not like it happens often unless you looped things like the barn or garage like crazy in which case you deserved it.

yea just stand still and don run at all

There's about 20 pallets per map, no need to friggin min-max everything. If your surv friends can't do gens in that time then you deserve to die.

The problem is a killer has limited perkslots, fixing basic game issues through perks is not a good idea, perks should be reserved for fun builds not for fixing the game.

I don't disagree with you but look at the history of buffs and nerfs this game has had over the last 2 and a half years, they're not interested in "fixing" killer related issues. The best you can hope for is a decent perk. It's sad but it's true.

"Devs have no clue about balance so we're stuck with it" is not a good mentality.

Great, another thread where i have to ignore half the comments because SenzuDuck is mindlessly attacking a killer main who dared make a suggestion for a killer.

Anyway, I think it might be a bit much in regards to pallet and windows but I think something should be done about just being able to hang onto a gen till the last second and then sprint bursting out of there. I think there needs to be an animation for that where there is a brief window of being whacked before the survivor turbo jets to the other side of the map.

In regards to pallets and windows I think the devs did a good job with the spirit perk that allows a killer to auto break a pallet (even if they did then change pallets so they don't stun as often, cause you know...devs...). I'd love to see something similar perk wise for windows. It should have been bamboozle but it isn't. I'd take a slight buff to Bamboozle though, like it closes any window the killer goes through for X seconds without limiting the actual number of windows that can be blocked.

The problem is a killer has limited perkslots, fixing basic game issues through perks is not a good idea, perks should be reserved for fun builds not for fixing the game.

Fun fact: SWF has been in for a while now and the player base has grown. Ya'll wasting your time complaining.

They could finally at least adress the issue by balancing the game around it and give ingame voicecom. Right now they literally are like: "duh...yeah it's unbalanced we know but people like it".
