At no point did I say they were all overpowered lmao it's even in the title.
You are complaining that they have no counters, which is a straight-up lie, like geez did you guys start playing yesterday lol. If the game was balanced by people like you there wouldn't be a single killer that is viable, have you noticed how everyone thinks this is some kind of joke? Because it basically is a joke, you are saying the killer that was literally just released is uncounterable, you are basically the same kind of people who said lucky break was op before it was released lol.

Because a killer who is basically a mix of 3 other killers is so garbage. Maybe learn how to play killer then instead of moaning every one of them are bad.
Maybe try learning how to play against killers instead of moaning about how every one of them is overpowered. >.>

I think he's OP purely because look at this. I am not a good Killer, I often get curb stomped to hell and back with 4 escapes being almost guaranteed when you go against me. I should not be able to do this and it has happened several games tonight. I don't even have a plan, I just do things and it's working out.
Are you aware that the reason you often get curb stomped is that you play against better survivors? Not to mention killers that are new automatically start at a subpar mmr level. The more you win the stronger survivors you will face, not to mention you will start facing people who actually know how to play against the dredge. Anyone can send a screenshot of a 4k it means nothing, like actually nothing on your skill level.

Personally, I would rather have a weaker but fun killer than a boring but strong killer.
People said they would rather have a killer with little to no anti-loop then we got Onryo, if a killer has little to no anti looping power they genuinely do not end up well. Like I get people are tired of anti-loop killers, but can people take a look at how boring it is to play a no anti-loop killer? It's literally just people pre-dropping pallet simulator, there is a reason why no anti-loop killers aren't played often because they suck to play as.

That would be one option.
Making the selection instant and automatically fill the shortest/cheapest path to reach what we've clicked would be another.
We waste to much time on that thing.
It's just at this point I just want to get through them as quickly as possible I don't even want to pick what I get any more, because I already have wasted so much time going through them lol.

I saw how you necrobumped that other topic and then went and made this one. Do you have any... examples of hook exploit returning?
Or do you think someone crouching under hook while carrying a survivor (but still being perfectly hittable) is an exploit? You're supposed to look down if you want to hit them.
They are most definitely talking about carrying a survivor and being blocked at the hook, the hook tech hasn't returned and has been dead for years. If it returned surely everyone would be up in arms in the forums wouldn't they, because there would be a million videos showcasing the return of the hook tech and somehow compilations already of it being abused lol.

why are we complaining about spine chill of all things???
Because its a perk that hard counters stealth killers, its not really going to change anything if it makes it so undetectable killers aren't detected, don't know why people are acting like its the end of the world. Dbd can be exhausting sometimes. Doesn't mean its not fun.
Yeah, it's the most enjoyable game I have ever played if I'm being honest even if its gameplay has been the same for pretty much years, I do see the upcoming changes to actually change the faulty points of the game so I am optimistic. I love playing survivor and I love playing killer, but you can really feel it on some days when you just need a break. I don't know how I played so much like in 2017-2018 I only really play on weekends anymore, but the game is still fun for me.
-
It's the absolute worst because I need to face a killer before getting good at countering them I literally just faced a deathslinger a while ago and got absolutely destroyed. It's the same thing with the other killers I can beat them, but I really really need to face them a fair bit to be able to counter them completely, or else I have to rely on my teammates which generally doesn't end the best for me. Though definitely fairplay on that deathslinger he really killed it lol.
-
Yes, its an unhealthy perk and should be changed just like the meta perks, sure people will just move on to the next best thing like light born for god knows what reason, but I want to see changes and feel like the game is changing instead of staying the same old thing. So a rework to Noed will be wonderful and then I won't be scared to use it lol.

Now moris on the other hand I feel differently about. Moris are completely unnecessary and can easily be taken as the killer being toxic to you for the sake of being toxic. Given also the fact survivors have absolutely nothing like a mori they can do to the killer, it comes off as bullying because the killer didn't have to do it. Its like a slap in the face when you already lost. I never enjoy a match where the killer plays a mori. I just want to do the gens as fast as I can and get out of there. I played DBD in the time where killers were getting 4k moris in very short matches and that alone made me hate them. Even though they require 2 hooks to do now, they are still an extra way for killers to interact with the survivors in a way that can easily come off as bullying or just being toxic in general. If there was a way I could avoid matches with moris (just the offering of course) I would do it.
are you complaining.. about mori's in 2022...?
-
He's an alright information killer his anti loop is a bit buggy and inconsistent though and I think he needs some QoL improvements. When I play against doctors, either I loop him for a long time, which is ironic considering his kit or he destroys my team because they get downed extremely quickly for who knows why.
A killer who profits off of solo survivors and survivors who make lots of mistakes, but bad against survivors who know how to play against him. I have yet to see a doctor player able to altogether cancel out loops, so it's always a coin toss on whether my team knows how to counter him and doesn't drop every pallet. Because his anti-loop doesn't slow you down, (at least I don't think it does, and if it does it's pretty not noticeable) it slows him down so most of the time if it's a longer loop you can still greed the pallets.
-
@Sumnox said:
Don't you realise it's both? Why do you think those survivors play the way they play? And of course the killer who plays against them will also camp, tunnel and be generally toxic in return.
Who was first? egg/chicken scenario. We don't know who started it, probably back in 2016 because survivors were by far the power role (not anymore) they were the ones who made it their fun to ridicule the killer, especially SWF. From there, killers got more and more toxic as well, and the snowball effect started.
If I had to guess, it was SWF that started the cycle, and this is what we have now in 2022.
But it's not survivors lately. it's both.
I just am so confused like it's just awful like every match is the same thing no matter how I play I have tried all the ways I can think of to like make games as fun as possible I go out of my way not to tunnel people and I don't camp yet it's like they have some kind of vendetta and I am just lost. Like I get it's just a game, so I shouldn't feel unhappy about it because people can be awful, but it's actually starting to get to me like I don't have fun these matches I don't get super mad, but it really doesn't make me happy. Like I don't understand how or why anyone would get mad at a perkless killer or Demogorgon with meme addons, every game feels like the survivors think I took away everything they cared for or something because they genuinely are awful.
Like I'm not one of those people who are like oh this made me into a basement Leatherface main, but I don't really feel the same way I did about the many posts complaining about tunneling or camping anymore, like genuinely don't. The constant games like this I have played just really made me realize that survivors aren't much better when it comes to toxicity. When they literally take it out on anyone they come across just like the toxic killers, like if anything I won't wanna play much anymore because of these experiences that I had so eventually they are just going to play against constant people with the same mindset as them to make the game as miserable and unfun as possible for the other side.
Also sorry for my venting, like just really felt a bit sad after those games, maybe it's time to take a break from dbd for a while I suppose lol maybe the nicer people will come back during the anniversary chapter if not I'm not sure what ill play because dbd really was my favorite game.

I would like that actually, there needs to be a self bt effect so you don't have to rely on solos who want a free we are gonna live forever stack lol and unhook you right in front of the killer without bt.

Not just occasionally, every single killer for the past 2 months has been so toxic even if the survivors are not.
Camping, hardcore tunneling, smacking on the hook and nodding.
Leaving people on the ground to bleed out.
Seems killers are finally realizing the game isn't as survivor sided as they thought because they're finally trying and not crying about getting free wins.
They still complain though 🤔

Not saying Dead Hard has a balance issue.
However, I will say your statement isn't true. There are reasons why 1 exhaustion perk is being used more than other exhaustion perks. Let me give you a couple of examples why.
- Advertisement - If everyone is saying one exhaustion perk is better than another all the time, then that will cause 1 exhaustion perk to be used more than another. Take for example Coke and Pepsi. When blind taste tests are done with the 2 sodas, Pepsi always wins. However, when you show everyone the labels, Coke always wins. Same thing with Dead Hard, everyone says its better, so most people are going to choose the perk everyone says is better.
- Self-Care - The most used survivor perk in the game. If your statement was true, it would also mean Self-Care has a balance issue.
I'm just saying that this statement is a very bad reason to justify nerfs.
Definitely a sluzzy 2.0 lol.

Please show conclusive statistical evidence that Nurse consistently over-performs against players of equal skill on an even-sided map to back up your claims. Clearly, she is so overpowered supposedly, so gathering a lot of evidence should be quite easy. Anecdotal experience and individual gameplay is not proof. Your aggression is pointless and gets you nowhere.
Please, I would love to see you collect a bunch of Nurse mains to play against this guy who brags about being able to draw. Like honestly unironically would make my day, because I'm so tired of people acting like they know everything.
@MrPuppier said:
If there is anyone else to cry to, let me show them how "balanced" the Nurse is. Just find 3 people like you who think she is "balanced" and let's play custom game once. You call me a rookie, you question my game experience, and I'm judged for a word I didn't say, but no one accepts my invitation. You're ridiculous. If you think you're better than me, prove it. Just prove it. Don't judge me anymore. I'm inviting you to a custom game, and you're running away without saying anything? Lmao. Let me prove to you how "balanced" she is. We'll take a screenshot of the endgame and throw it in the discussion title, so everyone will see that Nurse is very "balanced". What are you afraid of? After all, you say that even the "good" players barely do 2K with the Nurse, and I'm a "rookie". I claim that I will do at least 2K, which must be impossible for a "rookie" like me. And yet you are afraid and run away. Come on, come on, and I'll show you what a "rookie" Nurse can do.
Also to you, being able to 2k means literally nothing skills, I can 2k with every killer in the game does it mean I'm good with those killers? No, absolutely not, nor would I claim to be because that's dumb. Like 2k is a draw in this game, you do realize, it doesn't mean you won, so please tell me how being able to draw in something = you are good?
When I first started playing I got 4 kills like 10 times as trapper pre buff, does that mean I'm an expert at trapper? No, I'm a godawful trapper, this game isn't really balanced matchmaking wise, sometimes you will be facing people your lvl or way below your lvl or way above it.
I mean you can't even see your own mmr lvls, so how exactly do you consider yourself to be experienced? Meanwhile, the person you are talking to has been playing for way longer and I honestly rather believe what they are saying than someone who has an ego the size of a moon and reminds me of the one person who 4ked as a clown as said clown needs nerfs. (Though they were more fun to read than this.)
-
Am I the only one here confused about why people are complaining and complaining about complaining this much. Like my reaction was like oh David is gay in his lore neat. Then I see this dumpster fire, I'm so confused.
-
Lets be real even if we got rid of both people would just move on to the next and then the next, the complaining never stops.
-
I love Legion, but you obviously did not play against release legion..
Legion right now is the best spot they have been in a long time, so I and many other people are happy with that. I also hate to see people specifically the ones that only play survivor being like "wow this forum is so biased all killers want is 4ks blah blah blah buff ds" and so on so forth because it's annoying. So please think about how unfair that would be balance-wise if a killer had zero cooldowns after missing.
(Also yes before people are like, "but solo queue is worse than any killer they should get buffs", I agree, it takes time I mean people waited 4 years for ds to be changed. It's not other people's fault that it takes time, so don't go blaming random people lol if you are so mad about the lack of solo survivor changes complain to the devs.)

A killer as strong as nurse honestly just shouldn’t have strong addons and several of her best ones are simply too much. But while I want those nerfed, I do agree that a lot of her trash addons should get changed too.
I'm just tired of having killers that have like loads of bad addons and you go through bloodweb after bloodweb searching for the good ones because the rest are garbage. Like hillbilly, nurse, and pyramid head their addons are mostly god awful. If you take away range then guess it's just a big recharge party lol. I wish all killers were like blight with how many addon combos he has or Myers with all addons that synergize together. I know it's a lot to ask for, but I'm just tired of how awfully designed the addons for a hillbilly, nurse, and pyramid head are like some like nurses actively hurt her.

SC isn't broken. I know by your post history everything on the survivor seems broken tho, so yea I can see how something else on the survivor side would seen that way. Just another thing.
It's not broken, but at the same time, it shouldn't be as strong as it is against killers in stealth. People think it's broken because it's just the best perk to counter stealth and it's just too good at what it does.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/319013/boon-exponential-is-slept-on
To be fair, I don't understand how we really are supposed to play Exponential. From my point of view though, I don't think CoH overshadows exponential because their purpose is different even though they're both boons:
- You mostly want to set CoH in a corner of the map, where you don't want the killer to go
- You want that action goes near Exponential, so the boon totem should be close to the middle of the map
That makes me think you shouldn't have a survivor with both CoH and Exponential.
You have some good points though, I can imagine Exponential doing wonders on rpd or gideon if you have teammates pressuring the killer with flashlights.
I meant it more in the fact that people automatically think exponential is bad due to circle of healing itself being so good, not that they are similar, I just feel like people compare the other boons powers to circle of healing when they all do different things. Also, I say they work well together because it can help with picking survivors up and healing when the killer is distracted by another survivor, circle of healing is just so good it can be put anywhere and still be useful in my opinion.
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Let's see:
- Killer is deciding to slug you.
- You down in boon area or near them.
- Killer is not hearing boon's voice.
- Killer is deciding to do not snuff boon.
And yey you have value from this perk.
Looks so situational and bad to me.
It isn't as situational as most people say as you can and will be able to create situations where this perk gets value, all that it takes is some effort on the survivor's part you can't just put it randomly and expect that maybe one survivor will get use out of it if the killer downs them in that area. The way I get it to proc is by distracting the killer near the downed survivor, for example, you can use the threat of a flashlight save, a pallet, or just simply lure the killer into chasing you while the survivor recovers. All it takes is the survivor being in the zone with boon exponential which isn't that hard if you are swf and creates situations where the killer cannot pick up right away.
For example, you and your friends pick boon exponential and create boon zoons and you get a good totem spawn that is a huge time sink for the killer so they won't bother going to it, don't put it in an obvious location. Then always run towards the areas, while looping do not drop the pallet greed it as much as possible and once you get downed within the pallet, with your friend and make sure the friend is getting the attention of the killer so the killer knows people are around. Now you get a free escape and it does actually work quite a lot, more than one would expect. This can also work solo, but it's much less consistent so I wouldn't bother trying it outside of swf.
-
I have been playing Nurse on console for a long time, so my advice to you is if you really do want to make Nurse your best killer, you need to practice a lot. Thankfully it's a lot easier than it was before because of the sensitivity changes and bug fixes, but it still takes a considerable amount of practice to learn and master.
The snagging on objects will always happen you just need to be aware of those objects in question and try to blink around them or go up right next to the object in question, but before there were objects that were unblinkable through namely a certain giant rock, not sure if that's fixed tbh..
Even with those issues if you play enough and I really mean a lot, you will learn maps so well you will start learning where these zones are and what are the best places to go to blink, even if survivors do take you to those objects its important to try to blink near them so you can get them without getting stuck and losing chase.
So Nurse is strongest with a combination of ability memorization and muscle memory as well as map knowledge because a lot of the time you won't know where survivors will end up due to line of sight being broken so you have to make a guess and calculate that they will run to this area instead of double backing.
The reason most people don't like playing Nurse is that even after getting used to these you will still need to play quite a lot to keep yourself consistent hope this helped!
Good Luck and hope you have fun! :)

Disagree on the addon dependant, at least for public matches. I almost always play her addonless, and those rare times I end up facing really good survivors yes, I do get defeated, but I always end up with 4-7 hooks, while running no slowdowns either. Adn that's really map dependant too (badham and yamaoka being the maps I perform the worst in). Most of my games are 2-4ks. But that's still beyond the point. Addons for a killer are fine when they complement their power in a good way. The numbers I posted show that on average, cooldown addons are well rounded, strengthening the power without overdoing it. Range addons seem simply too busted.
As others have pointed out, it is difficult to find a 'balanced' solution because we're talking about nurse. I just don't think that these addons are healthy in their current state - just the fact that in terms of raw numbers, Heavy Panting is so much better than Fragile Wheeze (same rarity) + Dark Cincture together, is beyond ridiculous imho.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2898646#Comment_2898646
The reason why I did the calculations like that is because we introduce far too much uncertainty if we start taking into consideration variables such as breaking line of sight. I wanted to show the baseline of the numbers. My counterargument to what you said is exactly the fact that maps aren't infinite size, which forces them not to run in straight lines forever. This in turn makes any added distance gained even more valuable, so the fact that a strong killer like nurse 'lost' the mindgame, and is able to close the gap immediately with one single blink without wasting any time is simply broken.
Also, I agree that my maths were basically how an AI would work, but I think you should consider that most of the added time of a human player would be spent walking at normal movement speed (3.85 m/s), and not slowed down. So, unless the nurse literally starts walking in the opposite direction from the survivor (which I deem very unlikely in the situation of a chase, because as a killer you should have an idea of the general direction the survivor ran), the survivor gains distance too slowly for the nurse not to be able to close the gap with a single blink, since she does it diagonally, in a straight line.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2898312#Comment_2898312
That's not what I said but you do you. Considering you said you didn't even bother reading, let alone understanding the comparisons I tried to make, I don't think I have any interest in continuing this conversation.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2898613#Comment_2898613
I expected some dumb commments, but only a few people are actually trying to argue in a normal way :( Namely, the two people I'm replying in this same comment. I appreciate them
While I respect your opinion, I personally just cannot stand new addonless Nurse, the blinks feel so long to recharge and if you run into any teleport blocking hitboxes it's very unforgiving, while at least recharge like if you get hit with an object with some massive hitbox its way more forgiving. Basekit Nurse is much too slow for me and it makes me feel like I am intentionally making myself weaker for no reason, I already play on console and when I tried PC nurse for some reason the blinks felt way longer and more fluid.
So in my personal opinion, the old nurse wasn't addon dependent, but the new nurse is addon dependent unless you actively want to hinder yourself for whatever reason. Also to your other point, I think range addons should be changed, but not until they actually make the other addons worthwhile to use, because I see zero reasons to use anything besides range or recharge. Also a controversial opinion, but the third blink addon is overrated so the people who hate Nurse can have that addon as long as actually useful addons are given in return, I would actually love that lol.
-
The problem is Nurse is addon dependent after the power rework and addon rework and it left most Nurses' addons useless or so niche that there is zero point to using them. Yes, they are very very strong add-ons her best in fact, though only for experienced players as the ranges can mess with people learning Nurse.
People refuse to admit that is Nurse addon reliant and is one of the worst killers to use addonless, because they still remember how awful the old nurse was to face even addonless, the new Nurse struggles immensely using just the base kit with her slow charging speed and just how strong distance is and can be used against her if she makes a mistake which can and will happen.
That's why the only addons worth using are the range addons and the recharge addons because recharge makes it more in line with the old base kit nurse and range makes it so if they do manage to evade or are quite far away you can easily make it back the distance to the survivor.
My question is what do you want to do with this information knowing just how strong her range addons are for her and how beneficial they are, unlike other killers the majority of Nurses' addons are useless so making them worse, would just make her in a similar situation to killers like pyramid head and hillbilly where the rest of their addons are just memey or too niche to consider being worth using in the first place.
I can agree that it's not the best addons to have in the game, but at the same time if Nurse players do lose their other best addon combo they will be left in a similar situation to say pyramid head, so would you make her other addons actually worthwhile or just take away them is what I'm wondering.

Her ability is strong, but easily countered by just simply running forward and whenever I play her it reminds me of how I feel when I play hag. Hag and artist they just make me feel so bored.
I like killers that change things, but its like trapper and trickster combined into a strange combination lol, but she isn't very good at either range attacks or trapping loops as just sprinting is easy to do and dodging her crows isn't really that hard unless you have no awareness, because you can see the crows as they are being placed like I only ever got caught by the crows when I was stuck in an animation.
(Also for people who play against artist when you go against a sniping artist just jump in a locker it instantly makes crows go away barely anyone knows about this, because artist is not played often anymore, but it completely counters the long range part and can be done in chase if you time it right.)

Thank you so much for commenting, I didn't understand how matchmaking entirely worked. Should I try to keep playing him to get a REAL understanding?
If you really do want to, but if I'm being completely honest when you are first starting out I am not exactly sure when you start playing against the people who have been playing against wraith for years. To be honest lol, I don't even know if I would be good against wraith because it's been literal months since I have played against him. (Off-topic, but for me personally, if it's a killer I haven't faced in a while chances are I'm going to be bad against them, just this week I got absolutely beat up by a Demogorgon a killer I very very rarely face I just didn't expect the tricks they pulled lol. Tbh I think that's kind of why when you pull out killers that aren't played often you can pull off some ridiculous matches where you absolutely beat up the survivors because survivors are so used to playing against the more popular killers.)
-
Yeah, it's pretty obvious with how strong people try to defend it, even being someone who mostly plays survivor now, I just can't get over the fact that people are like this trying to make people think they are using it over the kindness of their hearts lol. to put it into perspective it's like saying an all slowdown blight is using all slow down out of the kindness of their heart and not just picking it because its the meta. and yes, survivors do use meta perks same as all slowdown blights so they win more. the only difference is that since killers are rewarded for diverse perks on different killers all slowdown killers arent in every single match you play lol.
-
Dead hard is an unhealthy perk for the game unlike sprint burst, way more killers prefer playing against sprint burst than dead hard, because dead hard is super strong at extending chases, overused to death, and on survivors who know what they are doing a literal third health state.
I get it dead hard is a fun strong perk to use and I loved using it since I started playing, but even I can see how unhealthy of a perk it has become and I am willing to admit that it needs changes like ruin before it.

Saying he is overpowered after playing 1 game with him? This isn't old matchmaking, the more wins you play with certain killers the stronger the survivors you face, or at least that's how it's supposed to be, but sometimes it can be like someone throwing darts at a dartboard with strong survivors playing against new killers.
You played one game with wraith and got a 4k, which will and can happen on all the killers, depending on the people you are facing, but since this is your first time playing as wraith you are going to face new survivors unless your main killer is super high. (Not exactly sure how it is for newer players when they are starting out.) Wraith is c-tier because you aren't facing the survivors that know how to play against him yet.

They are super unfun to play against, if the killer has more than 2 braincells, it´s most likely an easy 4k.
Victor can jump 1 Meter in each direction (above, beneath and behind) you, you will get hit. I know it´s because of the ######### hitboxes from DBD in it´s current state.
Maybe you guys can give me some advice but in my opinion, they have little to no counterplay (with the miserable hitboxes etc.). I played them some rounds (i barely play killer at all), and i had only 4k´s, because it was super easy.
I like the concept of this killer, but the implementation is a dreadful catastrophe. With the upcoming tome and the many killers trying to do the rift challenges, this killer will pop up even more often, and it will suck a lot.
You do realize anyone can 4k with any killer right? Also, who cares if twins if survivors leave the game simply because people are playing that killer then honestly I hope the door hits them on the way out lol. The only people going to leave are the same people that complain about every other killer when they get beat up by them so I see this as a good thing.
