I DIDN’T MAKE THIS MUSIC!
Think someone named Mr.Envy may have made this chase music for Nurse.
Have you heard it & do you think it’s fitting for her?
That they used a flutey sounding instrument in certain parts turns me off a bit, at the same time I like it ‘cause it’s kinda floaty... I really do like the whole piece of music, especially when the chase begins... really grippingly intense!
Be fun being chased by her w sth similar to this, imo
Billy got reworked and got his chase music but Nurse didn't. Such a disrespect with nurse mains. 😒

I've never done this in the past, but nowadays I'm starting to realize that sometimes, skipping a lobby that's potentially unhealthy, may save you some headaches.
I'd want to know what are your reasons for skipping them.
Me, for example, I never skip more than 1 lobby in a row, because I don't want to be waiting a long time until I play a game.
So some of my reasons are:
- 2 or more toolboxes/flashlights
- Steam profiles of clearly egocentric/cocky/disrespectful survivors
What are your reasons?
Same reasons as you. I think I can deal with most of the teams I skip, but I'm mostly not willing to equip best add-ons and tryhard all game.

I haven't seen many people wearing the locked outfits and it's mostly some variation of Cheryl. Wouldn't they make more money from separate pieces?
I know for myself I like to mix and match stuff but this locked stuff is so limiting and I'm actually wondering if people are actually buying them.
Have you bought any sets?
I think they only are allowed to sell Cheryl outfits together because design obligations with konami.

wow i actually genuinely feel bad for that killer......the same thing happened to my friend who came to play survivor with me. We got put against a purple and red rank killer as 2 green and 1 grey survivor(friend) and he literally does not want to play the game now unless the majority of us is playing it.....
Getting new players into this game is hard......
I brought DbD as gift for a friend but after 3 matches as killer we didn't want to play the game anymore. Waste of money... Having a practice mode would be very good.

Hi all, 1st post here.
I just came up against a 4 SWF team, as a killer, and I found it futile to even attempt to stop them as they just control the game so well.
I know they were a team as I was on the temple of purgation map and one of them kept standing on the ruins between the last 2 gens available so Im assuming he was on comms with his team as before I could get to a gen they were 20 meters off in the opposite direction, I didnt manage to kill 1 survivor.
Does anyone have any tips on how to beat this? As this has happened a few times now and feel as if killers are completely outmatched against a try hard team with comms and items.
Thanks
I just played against this team
I've managed to down the whole team 2 times and they had 2 unbreakables to give them second chances, I've managed to blink on top of them multiple times but they all had Dead Hard to give them second chances. They all grouped up on the last gen and 2 of them used decisive strike offensively to give them second chances. They played the game very badly but still get away with it because second chance stacking is meta. What can I do? Nothing. What can you do? Nothing. This is not your fault and there's nothing you can do. Just accept and move on. BHVR keep launching very good utility perks every chapter and people keep using the same mistake-erasing perks since chapter 4. As you can see there's clearly a game design problem here. So again, sometimes there's nothing you can do.

Crazy idea, but here we go: what if instead of nerfing the only good perks survivors have(which is the reason why only these perks are used) we buff the other 90% of crappy perks and we encourage build variety this way? Crazy, I know.
People don't use the new perks because they are "satisfied" with the old ones, they use them because all the new perks are complete garbage.
Made a mistake while looping? Press E to fix your mistake with Dead Hard.
Your team made 2 huge mistakes as (1) clustering around the killer and (2) managing to die too fast that all team got slugged, use your unbreakable.
Got unhooked and see a generator with a locker close? Rush the generator and every time killer come close for the next minute, jump into the locker. He cannot slug you because you have unbreakable, he can waste precious time waiting your locker ds or just eat the ds. Doesn't matter what he chooses he will lose.
And you say this is balanced? Bullshit. Needs fixing urgently. Killers pay heavily for their mistakes and survivors should too.

Thank you very much for you data! IMO, they really should been looking into the second-chance perk domination not because they are too strong, but because some of people won't buy any new DLC because they are already satistied with existent perks. For me, this just make the argument that meta perks are killing build variance, stronger. 😔

Its pretty obvious Nurse is the best killer in the game and has no counterplay. Alright so you know how Plaid Flanal ad on shows Nurse where her blink is going. You ain't kidding, My last Level 50 bloodweb I did on Doc had three ebony moris in it.
Yes, I said three.
Right? I don't think I need to point the face that a killer that stores add-ons/offerings will be able to store hundreds of each in no time. I don't have DbD installed anymore, but this is the last screenshot of my nurse add-ons. I had 130+ omega-blink and 130+ blink-recharge combos and by the time I play the 260 matches to spend these I'm sure I'll have another 260 stock to spend. Last time I saw, Umbra had like 1500+ Iridescent Heads and more than 900 Moris. I don't know how the devs came up with the idea that "rare is balanced" but I'm sure that add-ons and offerings shouldn't boost the killer/make the killer depedent, but instead create a unique playstyle.
(really just posting to show console players what nvidia filters can do with your brightness)

Most of the people I know on PC play for win not for fun. I've always saw PC players as hardcore players, because why invest so much more money on a computer if you can just buy a console. PC players want to win, want to have every competitive advantage possible, which translates on DbD through better framerates, Nvidia game filters, and M&K.This also translates on a gameplay and gameplan involving doing whatever it's necessary to win faster as possible.
So the short answer is, because PC is home to the most hardcore players.

Since it roughly corresponds to play time, would it be beneficial to attempt to match players with similar devotion levels? Especially since it doesn't really do anything else right now.
Not necessary. Although devotion level is already in the game, coding a new MMR system like CS:GO or Dota 2 is very easy to do unless DbD's code is a mess.

Dying Light sucks. With 6 stacks I'm negating 16.2 (90x1.18=106.2, and 106.2-90 is 16.2) seconds of generator progress on remaining generators, and with PGTW I'm negating 22.5 (90x1.25=112.5, and 112.5-90=22.5) seconds PER POP (+ gives regression). In red ranks getting 6 stacks of dying light means that the match is almost over in favor of the killer which makes dying light useless because the match is almost over, or there are 2 or 1 generators to be done which means dying light impact is gonna be absolutely garbage when compared to PGTW. I can't believe this perk gives only 3% per hook and massive survivor buffs and restrict you to not kill the obssession. Whoever designed this perk is a potato scaried cat survivor I'm sure.

Because it's boring to be on the ground. The counter to that would be to bring unbreakable. Then you would be risk being picked up after being hook farmed, in which case you should've brought DS. But now if you bring both DS and Unbreakable, you're going to be smol pp shamed.
I couldn't hold my laughs after reading "smol pp shamed", but I've never related so much with an answer.
It's boring. I hate to be on the ground, but I totally understand when the killer do it. At this point I would like to note that I always play with unbreakable/no mither. I feel like the players who cry about slugging don't play killer at a higher level which means they are bad at some part of the game, so the short answer is... they complain because they are bad. Slugging creates pressure and pressure is always needed because gens pops too fast.

Ok someone said using an argument that "against a good nurse" is invalid like saying oh well you looped a nurse for 120 seconds? Against a good nurse you would die in 30. Apparently that is invalid because people dont agree on what a good nurse is, therefore the good nurse is also a fake concept, which seems to be what this guy implied. A good nurse hits their blinks more often then not. A good nurse will not try and mind game without knowledge of the survivor previously and will work to have line of sight. A good nurse will rarely swing after blink if it is a bad blink. A good nurse ends chases quickly and knows how to use their blinks. Do you guys agree or do you think a good nurse doesnt fit this bill? Also if I missed anything feel free to add.
Yes, you can call that a good nurse, but being a good nurse doesn't implicate the player is a good killer player. The scariest nurses are the one that master nurse and also have a solid game knowledge as a killer overall.
Suppose that you have 3 injured survivors on your line of sight. A good nurse but bad killer player will not waste time thinking about which one of them to chase. A good nurse and good killer will briefly analyse which one probably has Dead Hard, since is a major blink lunge counter, and also check for the ones who are close to a major line of sight breaker or jungle gym, because these have higher chance of proc'íng a Lithe or evading blink lunges with a locker. These are just an small example, but for a good nurse to be able to end chases quickly consistently she'll need to rely on a lot of game knowledge and aweraness that you have to know in order to play any other killer in higher ranks. This being said, I would say a solid rank 1 nurse player is someone who is able to play consistently at killer rank 1 with non-nurse killers while having also mastered nurse.

Arguably, the most interesting thing to do to keep things spicy in this game is making wacky builds, problem is that actually unlocking perks is a really long and tedious process thanks to being to RNG dependent
its also a point that multiple perks are used right now as band-aids for core problems, so if the game isn’t getting really that fixed anytime soon, at least let me have those bandaids sooner than later
Also, we have +20 characters in each side, that’s a lot
now, we can get a full rework of the bloodweb and Shrine of Secrets which would be ideal but I don’t know how they can get around that
Also they can make simple changes:
- Removing Perk Tiers, suggested a lot before, currently a lot of perks aren’t really worth to run on Tier 1 or Tier 2 anyway and the sole exception you could argue is Discordance
- Make everything cheaper: what if everything was 1000bp cheaper? What if everything was 2000bp cheaper? Right now a lot of BP offerings are really worthless unless you get 8000 points in each category (example, common BP offering gives you 50% but costs 3000bp, you spend 3000 for the potential of 4000)
- Max Score 40,000 instead of 32,000 (10,000 by category), you don’t need to adjust score events except for sacrifice events, if hooking is the killer’s objective, give them some love, rewarding even more multiple hooks
- Bloodweb should let players buy more perks early, also perks shouldn’t always be consumed by the entity when you buy another perk
- Make bloodhunt events more often, it reallly won’t hurt you BHVR, gives us that 2x multiplier
- If you don’t remove perk tiers, fine, purchasing a teachable perk should unlock that perk on tier one for every character
- Small QoL, everyone should have their own teachables already at Tier 3 from the beginning, Level 1 Characters
- Non Teachable Perks should be also unlocked from the beginning, if you don’t remove perk tiers, fine, Tier One Perks but unlocked nonetheless
These are just some ideas, not necessarily definitive ones
what do you guys suggest?
Add-on recycle.
Why would I use darkening reagents on Nurse? I really would like my BP back.

So you killed them and they are reporting you for exploiting a bug?
I can't see that sticking, I don't deal with reports but I'm pretty sure that you didn't exploit anything. From the way it's worded in your post, it sounds like the survivors were trying to farm points there and taking advantage of the situation - at least that's the way I'm reading it.
I've been stuck once and had a killer stuck once, both times we helped each other out then reset the match and carried on as normal. It happens, people get stuck by accident and then some people try to take advantage of it, most are pretty nice though and allow you to reset.
Thank you very much.

I remember that some dev said the algorithm should put players in the same lobby only if they differ from 8 ranks or less (not sure about 8) from each other. So I'm sure that the rank 16 guy is in queue with someone (the game doesn't take the average anymore, but the minimum rank of the players that are queueing together, he got matched with you because his high rank friend). That was when old ruin was a thing. He and hsg were the only ones that could passively protect ruin, of course he had a high kill rate. In addition to that logic would dictate hes picked most heavily in tge lowest ranks and tapers off at the high ranks, thats because hes not that hard to counter once you know him and how hes usually played. Last Id point out that that data has nurse as tge weakest killer. I believe the data shows that because tge skill ceiling is so high. If 9 out of 10 nurses suck with her because shes so hard that would drastically lower her kill rate. This illistrates WHY breaking these numbers out by something else (i.e. rank, hours played, skill level etc) is so important. Everyone knows nurse is the deadliest killer in the right hands, point being its to be taken with a grain of salt.
All of that said, he doesnt suck hes just a little weak
I wasn't saying he doesn't need a small buff I was just answering a question about why devs may have been ignoring him (because he's probably not at the bottom or the top and looks like devs like to look at the extremes).

He could literally start by carrying every trap on the map AND have the ability to hold all his traps at once and he still wouldn't be super powerful because he still has to walk around collecting/resetting them. Imagine if Spirit had to go drink Ghost Juice to phase, and the Ghost Juice locations were placed randomly all over the map. It's silly. Let the poor guy start with 2-3 traps and be able to carry 2-3 traps. Free up his add-on slots for cooler stuff.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1571979#Comment_1571979
Those data points seem extremely vague. I imagine, being one of only a few killer included in the base game, he's chosen by tons of baby killers (and baby players likely make up the vast, VAST majority of players, as with most games), and since they'll be matched up against baby survivors, the majority of those matches will end with him just getting a bunch of M1 kills because baby survivors have a way lower chance of succeeding because the tutorial teaches them to hide in bushes
and never to run.Of course, it could be that he's "better" than people think he is, but we can't know without more detailed and complete data. "All ranks" is possibly the worst set they could've used.
There's a red rank set below.

Almost every single high level game it’s always DS, Unbreakable, some exhaustion perk (usually dead hard) and then a perk of your choice.
I think it’s an issue that stems from DS being sort of being both a little too powerful and unreplaceable. The game does nothing to discourage tunneling without the use of perks, and because tunneling is so powerful for killer survivors are kinda forced into using DS.
I feel like the only way to ‘fix’ DS is to make some sort of anti-tunneling measure base kit (not sure what this would be) and then take DS in some other direction.
Buffing a lot of the crap perks would also go along way, as some are just kinda useless.

Unless you're getting caught out of position often, I don't think Sprint Burst is better than Dead Hard. If you're very good, you will want the killer chasing you over your teamates, i.e not gaining too much distance of the killer that it makes him/her abandon chase, and for that reason Dead Hard is the go-to chase perk. I really like Iron Will and most of the time my build is the same as yours (except I don't use SB), but if you feel that you're getting proxycamped often, try changing Iron Will for BT to finish the quadruple double chance perk build...

I used to be nice and give people hatch almost every game that would normally be a 4k and 2 hook every one if I suspect noob team, but no more... and it's for the good of everyone. And the reason is that being nice puts you in lower rank (I was purple) and then your matches become easier and you have to be even nicer. Now that I stopped giving easier games to people, I moved to red rank and the situations when I feel bad about going too hard on inexperienced survivors are much more rare. Bottom line, for the sake of matchmaking, play to the best of your ability and stop being "nice".
The only times I'll continue being nice is when I know that there is difficult rift challenge and I suspect a survivor is trying to get one done or if I'm sure that letting one go will not result in a loss of pips.
Play however you want.
Sometimes I equip a slugging build and slug until eveybody bleed out. That's how I play and that's how I am. Nothing anybody can do about that. If you're not hacking, any strategy you choose is valid for me. Break how many rules of the Survivor Rulebook for Killers you want, if you got me killed you have my respect.

BHVR isn't serious about crossplay. Its just a boon to their PC players at the expense of everybody else.
Oh and someone will surely be like u cAn tUrn It oFf. No you can't. Not without losing the ability to play with another consoles playerbase and a portion of my own consoles playerbase I previously had access to. SO thanks for that BHVR.
I think that BHVR should implement Color Blind options and balance the game around it if necessary. Color Blind options doesn't mean the game will become more visible than usual for people who can see the full spectrum. It could be created different pallets of collors made for people who can't see part of the spectrum. Many PC players including myself use NVIDIA Freestyle to cover that game deficiency, and it's very unfair for people who are playing console because they aren't able to do something about that. That said, please don't try bait discussions using color blind people as a shield. If you want to say console players facing top tier PC players is unfair, everyone knows about that. But don't try bait discussions using something that you don't have knowledge about it. It's very offensive.

Tactical misplacement
After t-bagging, the survivor gets marked for X seconds. If the killer manages to hook the marked survivor, instead of hooking in the back, the killed ends up hooking a little far below. After being unhooked, the survivor gets the Hemorrhoid Status Effect for Y seconds.
While Hemorrhoid Status Effect is active, survivor can only walk crouched and can't run.

Sometimes I use a slugging perk combo (Knockout, Deerstalker, Infectious Fright) on Spirit/Huntress/Nurse and never hook a survivor until I have all 4 in the ground. I don't see any problem on that. Slugging is very risky for the killer and slugging survivors is not a trivial thing to pull off and most of the time not achievable unless they make plenty of mistakes.

Spirit requires a fundumentally different kind of skill compared to Nurse and Huntress.
She is an information denial Killer first and foremost, that means you need to be good at predictions and be good at saying somewhat unpredictable, with the former being more important for chases and the later being important for ambush hits you sometimes get. The chase usage being the most most important obviously.
Nurse is more about precision by comparison. She does also require predictions but not nearly as much
I disagree with you. Nurse on indoor maps is a prediction show every time survivor breaks LOS.
I don't think any killer except Huntress and Deathslinger compares to Nurse's skill ceiling. I use to say that Nurse and ranged killers have infinite skill ceiling, but in particular, Nurse has a skill floor far above any killer in the game.

Visionary would already be a meh perk at best, but where is there a cooldown?! Same with blood pact, why is it a long cooldown for a short effect AND being a Hex.?
Hell, if Make Your Choice came out today it would be on cooldown. MYC's cooldown IS the perk's effect, it's not something separate from the exposed timer like Dragon's Breath is.
I'm not expecting these perks to be changed PTB post release (except Gearhead which got nerfed lmao), but this obsession of cooldowns and added things to make perks worse is the reason people run the same perks. I don;t even mean meta perks, I find those boring. For fun meme or dedicated builds, alot of new perks just don't even fit there too with how many cooldowns and handicaps are on them.
I'm not saying cooldowns are a bad thing, so many perks like Thrilling Tremors would be just overpowered without them, but at the same time many of them that do have cooldowns are either wayyyy to long or just unneeded
From a developer/programmer perspective, cooldowns is the cheapest /easiest way to balance something.
