Sweat squads are way more common that people like to pretend they are. Sure they might not be that .0001% that never loses ever, but they can easily make a match extremely unfun and it happens all the time. You won't see if it you don't play like that but that doesn't mean it isn't a common issue. I experience sweat squads more often than solo ques, by a long shot. Perhaps I'm just unlucky I couldn't say, but the I find playing as killer I meet toxic survivors a lot more than toxic killers when I'm playing survivor.

I understand where you are coming from, whenever I play killer I turn cross-play off, so everyone is on Xbox. If it's a SWF they all message me a little GG and the ones who play killer tell me where I can improve. The solo people are more toxic/cocky for me lol.

If a killer is tunneling you, this is a good thing - keep it distracted while your team mates disable the generators

If a killer is camping, this is a good thing - means you can be disabling the generators the killer is NOT camping at.

If I've misunderstood these two gripes then just ignore my post entirely and accept my apologies my friend lol.

Playing survivors is a team game. I play killer all the time, and I know immediately if I'm gonna win via 4 hooked survivors (or 3 hooks and 1 hatch) if I see survivors not working together. Even if you are not communicating with your other players the above scenarios should still apply. If you want to play solo I highly suggest joining us killers. There are similar gripes I have with some survivors like looping mind you, but I know to just walk away as they're distracting me from my objectives - I'll get them eventually later on *shakes fist menacingly*

I understand where you are coming from and I thank you for giving me a laugh. (Not condescending I promise qwq) But the thing is, the thing that annoys me this never happens on the rare occasion I turn cross-play off, and this all started after the Hexy Tournament. It just sucks because my challenge is to escape two chases as Meg, while escaping the trial.

I can't do that when every killer tunnels and face camps and I get stuck with potato teammates who don't do gens and try to be altruistic getting me thrown out quicker.

It took me 6 matches to get the "kill all 4 survivors by any means" challenge done because 1 or more DC'd from each match, and that doesn't count as a sacrifice or a kill. I wouldn't have minded it so much if I'd genuinely failed to kill all 4 and had to try again, but being denied a challenge completion because a DC Technically doesn't count? Not that is should mind you, but sigh with the recent rise in DC's I've encountered, I can see where this is going... Soon enough, the DC's will reach "epidemic" levels again like in April-July 2019, wherein 9 out of every 10 games had 1 or more players DC, and the game started losing players en masse, because, what's the point of playing if you hardly ever have experience a full match?

The whole reason the DC penalties were implemented in the first place was to bandage the game so it would stop hemorrhaging players who were no longer able to have fun, and for a good while it made the game playable again, but that all changed when hackers figured out how to tamper with it and deliver unfair penalties on players they were matched with. I believe the reason this is possible is because the DC penalty system is Client side controlled, in that your own game client tracks when you DC or quit the game during a match and then applies an automatic penalty. Since its directly in the game clients code, and not monitored or delivered via server side, Hackers are able to abuse other players clients and send false information to their games logs. A quick verification check from the server side should be all that's necessary to prevent this from happening, and maybe/hopefully that's what the devs are working on, but until then we're stuck returning to "the bad old days" of players DC'ing for any and every petty reason they can think of.

I hate this. This game is one of my favorites to play, but to see it dying again because a bunch of bratty, narcissistic, over-entitled, unsportsmanlike, douche bags ruining the fun for everyone with the devs unable to put an immediate stop to it... is really depressing.

Not only that, people being able to boot others offline by getting their IP, I usually see this done on R6S (Xbox) but I don't doubt that it happens on DBD too

To start, why is this in creations? Second, moris are on the list to be changed, its just a matter of time. These balance changes helped and hurt both sides, take the most recent reworks for example. Bubba got buffed and Billy got nerfed.

Hopefully they don’t close it because from what I read from you, you said it in the nicest way you can while also letting things be known. I’m just fed up with the #########. I expect my account to get banned tho

Thanks, I try to be nice because I do art and it takes me hours just to make one piece, and if someone said it was garbage I'd be sad. And the devs put years into the game and yes it's kinda broken and unbalanced. But I still play it, because it has characters I enjoy. I plan to make a post with a list of bugs, minor and major, along with ideas to balance the game. Things will be a tad bit easier.

Wrong answer. I don't dodge SWF unless I'm exhausted. If I recognize them I Mori one immediately. Since I play Mikey that is easier for me than for some. I want people to be able to play with their friends. I just think they belong in their own que, so Solo doesn't keep paying the price for us doing what we gotta do to level the playing field. I believe there should be two Ques.

Solo Que: Up to two people can join these Lobbies together, so limited Friends. No Identity information should be shown until after the match ends to prevent setting up Comms on the fly.

Group/Team Que: Groups of 3 or 4 may join these Lobbies. Groups must turn on one additional Generator to open the gates, i.e. a 3-Person SWF must activate five Generators, and a 4-Person SWF must turn on six. The Killer also gets a 5th Perk unlocked. Killers will be happy to fight these challenges on a level playing field.

*This method allows the DEV to balance for the Group/Team Que without punishing the Solos in the process. The suggestions I make for balance can be increased or decreased as necessary.

I agree with the idea, but with Xbox/PS4 you can check recent players and do that. With Xbox it's bugged though, but either way.

I’ll post here because they won’t let me start a discussion

There is no room for new players to learn this dumbass game. I hope something happen to the company and they can no longer run this bullshit. I don’t even think they know what they’re doing. Friday the 13th was and is way better. They need to settle that lawsuit so a real online horror game can be played

i know ima get banned soon but y’all heard what the ######### I said and that’s all that matters. Now let’s see how fast it will be🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hopefully my post doesn't get closed cuz of this comment. But I have a feeling the game will die because it's riddled with bugs, since the tournament every game has been tunneling and camping/face camping. Farming off hook, ect. It's bullshit.

I don't wanna bash the devs because it takes time and effort to make a game, but damn.

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

I've been playing with my friend because usually I solo, but it's nice to play with him, plus we haven't played together for a while now, but every match has been the same tonight. Tunnel or camping every single hook. It's getting to the point we both don't want to play anymore, which sucks since this is the only game we play together when we get the chance. I get some SWF will make the killers life hell, but this is getting beyond stupid now. I shouldn't have to constantly run DS because of this. I hate the perk so much, but killers are forcing people to need it. Yet they wonder why it's so 'overused'

Same for when they slug to avoid DS instead of eating it and taking the 3 second stun and whine when unbreakable is ran

  • @HollowsGrief said:

Because killers get annoying sweaty swfs all the time so they start playing like jack a$$es to even the playing field. Blame SWF not killers

Not all SWFs are bad, only sweat squads. Most I meet when playing killer are nice to me (I turn off cross-play as killer)

Try joining a Discord or a Facebook group. There are always good teammates willing to play swf.

I just don't wanna get bullied for not being the ultra chad at the game. I am not great but not terrible. Mediocre at best, and when I solo queue it gives me people below my skill level that play like someone who's only had the game for 2 days and thinks tunneling/camping is a God strat. But I will try that suggestion, thank you qwq

  • @Heartbound said:

This is confirmation bias but every time I play immersed the killer finds me and beats me over the head with a shoe.

Every time I want to get in a chase, I'm begging the killer like I'm a muffin begging for death and the killer won't give me the time of day.

Be bold, and crossplay. Us PC players will protect and cherish you.

I cherish PC players, I don't like the console vs. PC war qwq

I love PC players, all of them are sweethearts, I've had PS4 players tell me that most of em are toxic so I get so giddy when I am with PC players cuz they are nice. I will admit I am not great at the game, but I can run a killer for 3 gens when they are not trying to destroy me in game and irl. Sometimes they act like they haven't eaten for days and that survivor is their first meal.

Thank you for being one of the few players with good sportsman ship. It makes me happy

  • @Xyvielia said:

Yeah, jus chillax a bit til the frustration subsides.

I’m solo surviving in red ranks (2 currently) an get matches with red rank experienced killers an combos of green/ purple survivors (they seem to have very little DBD common sense) who are downed fairly quickly, then proceed to immediately race for the unhook w/o BT right in front of the killer. DCs, quick 4K matches resulting in neg-pips. Not fun.

I’ve also, lately, (in the past 2 days) experienced a trend of red rank killers who are tunneling right off the hook. Not sure if they picked this “strategy” up from other streamers or from the recent tournie, but this usually doesn’t happen amongst red ranks killers, especially where they tunnel after the BT. Killers often go into matches expecting a team of aggressive SWFs, all on the same page, who play offensively and are linked with coms to benefit them even more. They’re so experienced from learning to deal w SFS that when they get a team of solo’s w/o the 5th perk of coms, it can be a complete slaughter fest!

I’ve heard a good majority of players voicing their opinions on experiencing the same.

So you’re certainly not alone in this.

Certainly never any harm in some good, healthy, non-violent venting.

Take a rest, regain your peace/sanity an have another go.

When you return tho, remember to be focused an fully aware that it could (probably will) happen again; that’s half the battle. Choosing then to respond to the circumstances calmly, letting all the nonsensicalities fall to your feet an disintegrate, is a great way to patiently tolerate the DBD dysfunction.

    Too much anxiety otherwise, imo.

Thanks, I wish there was more people like you, this eases my anxiety a bit. It sounds pathetic, but it got to the point I felt like crying cuz I played the game for nearly 6 hours today and it was just all tunneling/camping

It just sucks cuz the devs encourage it, I just wish people were punished for it. Had a Laurie farm me off hook, and not take a hit. It doesn't happen on Xbox though so I can't pinpoint which platform it is mostly coming from.

I don't think it's PC cuz all the PC players I know are sweethearts and so nice to me. So I can only guess PS4, Stadia, or Switch. But like I said, I don't know for sure.

  • @Moundshroud said:

Actually SWF CAUSES all those problems. Killers are tunneling more because of SWF. They want to reduce the 4v1 to a 3v1 as rapidly as possible.

Like I said, I'm doing solo queue

  • @skarsguts said:

Don't worry, the devs say camping and tunneling is a legitimate strategy.

That means they could not care less about the solo survivor experience or how killers ruin a game.

I don't care if it's not bannable, I just think that survivors shouldn't be punished because a killer wants to play crappy. Notice it mostly in purple/red ranks (surprisingly)

  • @NivlacACE said:

Maybe give killer a try? I play mostly killer but survivor occasionally and boy does it get frustrating. Killer can be frustrating too, but you can at least outplay annoying survivors, unlike survivor where you individually can’t really outplay a camping killer (your team can, but that’s not very satisfying when you spend all game on hook).

I do play killer once in awhile, lots of Smurf accounts, had a Meg teabag on hatch, hooked her and tea-bagged her before closing hatch (played Ghostface)

For me It would be Springtrap/Fnaf. I know to many it is refereed to as a "kids game" (Which it really isn't if you delve deep enough particularly with Fazbear Frights books). But personally it would be the liscense that would make me cry happy tears, kinda like how others did when Silent Hill was announced to be in the game. The reason is that this was the first game that really got me into the Horror genre and got me engaged into a community that I really enjoyed to be with, it really holds a special place in my heart, in short I probably wouldn't played DBD if I did not get engaged as I did with Fnaf. I hope the serious becomes darker, and more for a mature audience later on which looks like it is, and then maybe our perspective might change.

Now there is another Liscense I would like, Outlast in the game, because how could the Devs not, it is by far the most ######### up horror game in the entire genre! Like how could the Devs deny Outlast?

I respect your opinion, but personally I feel like the Lord should be finished up in FNAF before they add it to dead by daylight

Imagine hearing a horse go neigh on the clown map and thinking it's the undead horse that's under that building then hearing galloping. I'd be like oh ######### I'm dead

Same lmao, his mori is he puts a pumpkin on x survivor and kicks the back of their knees knocking them to the ground, stepping on their back and then uses his weapon (sword) stabbing it through their back (where the heart is) before pulling it out. While his foot is on the survivor's back they try clawing at the grass to escape

Don't want: I have to agree sprintrap doesn't fit too well. Chucky would be kind of cool but I think it would really suck being camped out and tunneled across the map by a midget.

True, but an idea I had for Chucky is he can jump on a survivor and it causes this thing where you have to hit tremendously difficult skill checks to throw him off. Succeeding with cause him to be stunned for 5 seconds. Failing will apply the broken status effect

Yeah I kinda thought about his entire kit on the spot. Although I need to specify fast the horse goes, maybe as fast as oni's demon rush

That seems pretty balanced, this coming from a survivor main. Killers aren't that scary right now. Though something that's be super cool is a Headless Horsemen killer. That can be a killer released in fall. I have been working on an idea for it, but I wanna get the kinks sorted out.

    Not necessarily.

Most FNAF players are like 12-14 or something. This means that not many new players are coming to this game, and all you end up with is lot of unhappy dbd fans.

I don't know if a lot of people in that 12-14 age range play dbd or not though, so don't take my opinion seriously.

So, don't get me wrong I agree with not wanting a lot of people in the 12-14 (for me 10-14) age range. I am within that age range, but I turn 15 next month. And personally, I wouldn't wanna see many people in the age group on the game, most have short tempers. And we have enough of that with the few grown adults who already act like the are in that age group.

Please don't hate on me for being in that age group though, I swear that I am a good sport on both sides.

  • @ToxicMyers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/discussion/192669/if-you-could-have-any-dlc

    A medieval killer.

I already have his kit thought up

This killer has a power known as bloody chivalry, every 120 seconds he gains the ability to ride on horse back for 15 seconds.

While on horseback he cannot attack but he can cancel his ability early to have a shorter cooldown and get closer to a survivor, but canceling the ability or it ending has a 3 second cooldown where you cannot attack but you dismount your horse. His m2 attack is called chivalrous strike. This move is an insta down but he has to get close and it has a 30 second cooldown that only starts to go down during chase( kinda like how exhaustion doesn't go away while running). His weapon is an english longsword. His lore is up for discussion.

So I think that's really cool, personally I am a fan of Greek Mythology, Egyptian things, Asian Culture, and Medieval things. So personally I find this to be a fun addition!

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    What I'd want added:

A Bloodborne DLC (even though Sony would never let that happen) would be an instant buy, cosmetics and all. There're a lot of enemies they could use, from the werewolves to the brainsuckers to even the winter lanterns or bell maidens. Hell, they could make the Orphan of Kos the killer if they were creative enough.

The survivor could be the first non-named survivor as the player character from Bloodborne (maybe even have 2 genders to choose from like Legion) and the cosmetics could be the various armor sets you can acquire in the game. Would probably be hard to model them though, considering the proportion differences. Otherwise they could just use one of the chapel NPCs.

    What I wouldn't want added:

Same with me, no FNAF/Springtrap. There's a certain cheapness to that series that I just don't think belongs in DbD. It's basically creepypasta tier, but even then some creepypastas are more interesting and iconic. I don't want a Chuck-E-Cheese lookin' ass in DbD.

Maybe for the survivor or the Bloodborne DLC they can have a contest.

Have a base female/male design that can be designed by contest contenders and whenever they prestige the survivor it can give a bloody head/torso/legs for both the male and female and the name can be gender neutral.

There are probably tons of concepts about how a resident evil chapter and perks could happen, so I won't get into it, but here's a sample idea of what I think Kyoya's perks could be.

True, so 049 is the Plague Doctor's number?

If so the map can look similar to the villages in the fourteenth century. The melee weapon could be a cane and for the power the could have an animation that splashes a vile of liquid on vaults and generators that can cause the survivor to get sick. Everytime the killer gets stunned in some way, they drop another vile (the antidote).

  • @SCP_FOR_DBD said:

  • Technically not really, @Pawcelot has a point. It'd bring new players which is healthy for the game. Bigger player base is gonna be good. But I still stand by my point too that the fanbase is mostly made up of kids with a little under half being adults. The "it's a kid's game" argument doesn't cut it in my opinion. Like it or not, but the FNAF franchise that have a large and engaged fanbase and the game series have sold well despite being a niche horror game. Even if you might not like some animatronic bunny robot possessed by a child killer who's corpse still remains within, it'd be a smart business move to add Springtrap as a Killer to DbD as it'd attract the massive fanbase of the franchise.

I understand that, but considering most the fanbase is 10 and younger I expect most (not all) to throw a hissy fit when they die/don't get a kill. Also for the survivor, they could add one of the nightguards.

Do you play this game for 3 months??

I've been playing this game for a little bit over a year now

  • Honestly, yesterday I was playing against a leatherface, and I ran him long enough for three generators to be popped, almost got the second phase on my first hook, and two people D/C the first time they get picked up/are hooked.

The only person who didn't D/C in the game was the other person on Xbox and the killer that was on another platform. Only knew cuz I was on Xbox.

D/C penalties just need to be fixed, people are taking advantage of it and abusing it.

  • Spirit never got a nerf despite all the whining of survivors, ruin was nerfed because both sides were unhappy and new ruin is better, Lightborn and Knockout were buffed.

You say survivors only get buffs, toolboxes have been rendered useless, flashlight angles were changed so everyone had to adapt to new angles. Killers recently got Hex: Undying, pair that with Ruin or Haunted Grounds and you are definitely getting more than one kill.

Survivors have DS as an anti-momentum perk, yes. But it also helps if they are dead on hook, plus the stun is only 3 seconds now. Eat the DS and move on. I have cross-play on and I can't tell you how many times I got tunneled by killers in purple/red ranks yesterday.

If you want kills, either eat the DS and render it useless so it can't be used or force them to use unbreakable early, again, so it can't be used. That is all I can tell you, sorry if this comes off as an entitled survivor main, but that's all I can really tell you. I've been trying to help avoid getting Spirit nerfed, Stridor on Spirit is the only thing difficult to counter.

  • Pig was the first killer I bought with real money, and Legion was the first I bought with iridescent shards

  • I think I did this one, I am also rank 5 and to be honest, I only got lucky cuz my friends and I brought Ghasty Gateaus and BPS. But just hope you get a potato killer, also faking pallet drops work too. Good luck

Highly recommend 2 changes eventually as you get further in killer experiences.

    1) Drop Sloppy Butcher and Bring up Nurse's Calling. Lack of Sloppy promotes healing from survivors (that might be more willing to hit up a gen rather than healing) which is actually an outcome that your killer's biggest strength is actually 99% stalks and instant downing. Nurse's is very powerful on Ghostface from my experience results in quite a bit of slowdown even if they finish heals off outside of your NC range - while doing it within it is usually just a free down with shroud.

    2) Drop I'm All Ears as it's a crutch perk in most cases (Although it could directly counter certain survivor perks and help you out in chases occasionally) but you'll get to a point where you don't need it anymore for chases. Things like Whispers and Corrupt Intervention are strong contenders for me but other chase perks to directly replace it like Brutal Strength or Enduring are good too

Chewed Pen Green addons are invaluable and his best one. Yellow Address books and brown matchbooks are passable if you don't have anything else - basically all other addons are pointless other than his pink outdoor surveillance camera - pair that one with infectious fright and get perfection information whenever you down someone.

I have him at level 44 no prestige, and I only use power recovery items ^^ and thanks for the tips

Not to brag but after you play killer for awhile, you'll start to understand why so many threads on these forums are begging the devs to stop nerfing killer.

Be surprised, I am one of the few survivor mains standing up for killers ^^
