Welcome to the Dark Side, my young apprentice. Soon we will rule the galaxy!

Nah, seriously though, most of us start off as survivor mains, but playing killer is where the meat of the game is. It's more exciting because you don't have any off time where you're just holding M1 on a gen. You're playing at 100% for the entire match. It's more emotional because you're punished more severely for mistakes, but outplaying people feels way more satisfying.

I beat 3 rank 16s as a Rank 19, I was so proud of myself lol

  • No Mother + Self-Care Combo with Diversion and Prove Thyself (for BP)

  • Sadly cross-progression has not been added. And from what I have heard Xbox One and PS4 will not be getting cross-progression. Only PC, Nintendo switch, and stadia are getting cross-progression

  • @Pipefish said:

They are reworking keys along with the mori to my knowledge. As for the toxic players they exist on almost every game. As for console optimization I admit that console has issues. Fixing bugs, killers, and perks doesn't make money like releasing new one does though :/

I know, I mentioned I know they are reworking keys/moris and about how the toxicity part wasn't limited to only DBD, it's everywhere. But the console thing, it shows they push console optimization on the back burner. They said they'd fix console fps 2 years ago, it was okay last year, but now it's garbage again.

  • Usually I only do it if it's a Pig or Ghostface, it's our form of communication.

I used to do it when I was a toxic survivor main but now I am hella nice no matter how #########/toxic my teammates or the killer is. I also learned, if you are nice 9/10 times the killer will let you go (especially if your teammates are scumbags.)

Or sometimes when the killer is chasing me and I am dead on, I will run to a hook and teabag under it.

  • Xbox player here, when I opted out of cross-play, I was often put with Red rank tunneling/camping killers. It was mostly when they brought an ebony Mori. But some did it without the Mori.

  • Hella Fun = Spirit

Okay With = Legion (specifically Susie, the people who play her have a playstyle I love lol)

DC/Suicide = If it came down to it, Doctor

  • Yes, all the exhaustion perks I can feel my powers increasing, thank you for bestowing this blessing upon us

  • @SoylentPixie said:

While I agree with you and have always maintained spirit is fine to play against, i find it quite disturbing that you have to make your point by spending most of this thread bashing other survivors.

That doesn't help. And some of these comments sounded very much like you were baiting survivors to come on in here and argue with you, which also doesn't help anyone. It's just more of the same "Survivor/killers are whiney babies" that keeps the inability to even entertain the other sides ideas going.

Good points were made here, but the execution just seems like bait.

Sorry it came off as bait, I tend to come off that way, though I don't do it intentionally. Even in real life, I come off as kinda controversial, but when people get to know me, they know that's just how I act. Sorry

Edit: Someone said something similar, not sure if you saw that though

Good news! Im pretty sure you are set to go! If you have discord my name is LIFT#7878 simply add me there and we'll go from there!

    Ight!

  • If you look at my forum, I see most people's issues with Spirit is that she has little to no counterplay, and they don't like facing something they can't see.

    @Mekochi said:

So I am a survivor main (if you've seen any of my comments/posts I've pointed this out before) and I don't get why so many survivors complain about Spirit. She is counterable, you just have to learn to do it. If she does a fake out in front of a pallet, don't risk vaulting it, that's your own fault for playing dumb because it's an actual strategy.

"But Stridor Spirit renders Iron Will useless." You might say, out of the hundreds of games I've played against Normal Spirits and Stridor Spirits, I've learned to counter both just fine, yeah I lose a few games here and there, but I give the killer a GG instead of coming to the forums to post "X killer is OP!!"

No, that just means the killer you played against knew how to use that killer, Hillbilly just got nerfed, and two killer perks were buffed(? I don't play killer so I don't know how to feel about new Franklin's/Knockout lol).

What more do you want? Every killer you can't counter to receive a nerf because "Woes me, x killer killed me and is therefore overpowered." Grow up, survivors still need DS to get a nerf, until that happens, none of us get to complain about Spirit being "overpowered".

    I just don't get it.

Oh yeah too many players do that because of one bad game everything the killer or survivor ran must be nerfed I feel like she shouldn’t get a nerf at all yet until they fix every other killer because if they do that what will anyone play? Most killers are too weak with the bad map designs and gen speeds

That's why I just made a slight idea the devs could add for counterplay which would benefit new people by her moving the environment such as grass, corn, ect. When she moves around, but it doesn't add much affect like it does when she's visible. That way survivors still have sight on where she is, and her footsteps can be heard a bit better. That way it's not a guessing game. Beneficial for new players/players who are bad at guessing.

  • Trapper was the first person I ever got a 4k with, but now I wanna shift to Ghostface cuz I am a Rank 4 survivor and Rank 20 killer, so I have the ability to do so ^^

  • Would cross-play (people from other platforms) be able to join as well, I am on Xbox and this seems fun

  • @xEa said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594722#Comment_1594722

So the discussion now shifted from "no counterplay" to "lets find ways that Spirit actually has counterplay" during those 4 pages? If so then you should mention that in your first posting because obviously i am not reading 4 pages when the first posting has a very direct and clear statement in it which has nothing to do with "lets find interesting mechanics"

Spirit doesn't have a lot of counterplay, and even then the counterplays is hard to perform, I will admit. Because there is a 5/10 chance you'll be able to perform a counterplay properly, but most people want Spirit nerfed as a whole instead of taking the time to realize some things can be changed without nerfing her to the point you get an easy win every game. Ya know?

  • @Talmeer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/187913/look-another-spirit-post

Thank you for making this thread.

In the past, I have sometimes made postings and tell that are survivors out there that know how to counter killer XYZ, even if the common mindset is, that they are unbeatable.

Some survivors really need to learn that it takes sometimes a bit of praxis to learn the counters, after my opinion. They shouldn't always flee to the social media plattforms and instead just getting better.

And before now some survivor main rushes up in anger towards me - the same counts for killers in similar situaitons.

No worries, I see that when killers try to defend themselves, majority are called "entitled killer main" so I feel if they hear from a survivor perspective, it can help address some things.

  • @RizeAki said:

I mean as someone who plays both sides and a lot of spirit I kinda agree with the survivors on this one she doesn’t have a counter it’s all guessing and even if you guess right her power gets her all the distance back in 2 seconds plus you never juke a spirit she just messed up her power a good one will hit you then within a couple seconds have you on the ground

I agree with you, she does need fixed a bit, especially for new players who don't know how to play against her. So I suggested a way to fix that, just check the third page of the thread. But most the arguments I see are braindead with people just wanting her nerfed practically saying, "I didn't survive, so x killer needs nerfed"

But I do understand where you are coming from, I am not disregarding it.

  • @xEa said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/187913/look-another-spirit-post

While you dont get everybody is complaining about killer you can not counter, i dont get how you can defend those kind of killer.

Lets check out the Nurse for example. Some funny people come up with silly ideas that she is counterable by using Los blocker. Technically, this is true, because it might increases the chance that she ######### up. But what if she does not ######### up and actually plays well? If that is the case, your theoretical counter just becomes a big useless fart and all you have is distance between you and the Nurse which can only achieved by holding shift and W.

Same with Spirit. All your "counters" are just some random attemps you can do in hope the killer is doing a mistake. If she plays perfect, you are dead, no matter if you played it perfect or not. Thats why everybody says there is "no counter" because technically you can not do anything if the killer plays perfect, no matter how well you do as survivor. Pretty easy to understand, right?

Slinger is also kinda the same #########. You can not dodge a Deathslinger, no matter how good you are, but then some people come here and talk about counterplay in a chase while it is not even theoretically possible.

From what people have replied with me with, some say she can't be countered, while others say they don't like to try and counter what they can't see. And so I came up with a way they can fix that if you took the time to read through the comments that weren't just about counters. She can move stuff in the environment such as corn, grass, ect.

@azame had a good idea of being able to hear her footsteps. But you only cherry picked some parts of my argument some people have already pointed out and I discussed with them.

  • @RepliCant said:

Regardless of if she's counterable or not, she's unfun to go against. Personally I don't like trying to outplay something I cannot see.

If you read through some other comments that have been put, I suggested and so did @azame a way for her to still be "visible" without actually seeing her, such as moving the environment while she is phase walking and her footsteps can be louder that way your two senses of sight and hearing can still be useful.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594559#Comment_1594559

Yes, I had a topic up about a month ago where I discussed some things with other Survivors who found her unfun and unbalanced. A lot of them said they just want an indicator implemented that lets people know when she’s phasing. However, I can tell when Spirit is phasing in CERTAIN outfits. Her skin gets all glittery and static looking but I was informed that not all of her skins have that effect. I can definitely stand behind having that placed in the game.

Edit: Don’t know why it quoted you twice. DBD Forums hates me.

to be honest I think the forums hate everyone when they try and submit something. Sometimes I can try and submit something and then it just doesn't send.

But back on the main topic, because I don't want this thread being closed, I feel like an indicator would be good for newer players who have yet to learn how to counter The Spirit.

someone else had a idea for an indicator, which would be making her footsteps slightly louder because right now they're really hard to hear. So combo this with her still moving the environment while phasing, that would be really useful to new players.

Legion was nerfed into oblivion he needs a complete power rework but despite that its do much fun playing as him. On top of that it must be regional but I find so many legions when im playing I'm taling 2-3 legions in a row. Ghost face is weird I'll have my character model stare at him and still be exposed other times I'll break him out through a wall the devs have failed to make him more consistent. I'm also talking like in his face.

Nurse did need her nerf omega blink was broken and the fact that you had barely any window after fatigue was terrible. You would instantly get back 2 blinks. The survivor barely has any time to get anywhere. Survivors whining isnt getting killers gutted it's the killers powers just being outdated and needing to be reqorked. Except billy, billy didnt deserve that :(

Ghost face had zero nerfs iirc he had a buff because now you need to look at him with the center of your screen and he has solid perks honestly.

I didnt understand your first statement my bad usually a new player survivor or killer has some insane claims. You have put the time in the game so I'm not gonna disregard your opinions.

Definitely some survivors say killers are op which Is out weird. Even spirit isnt op shes annoying but far from op. She becomes close with mother daughter ring and the amulet but that's just an add on problem. She moves no environment during phase she needs that itll make her better. I personally just want a tell when shes phasing louder footsteps and environment to be moved. That way I can use my senses to find po ut where she is and capitalize on it.

Thank you for having actual conversation with me instead of just getting mad at me for my opinion. I will admit Ghostface does need to be worked on because he is inconsistent like you have said. And I will not disregard what you said about Nurse being overpowered with Omega blinks. I just wish she didn't get Nerf the way she did because now she's filled to the brim with bugs that still haven't been worked on.

but back to the main topic of this post if the devs do so happen to look through this thread I hope they take into consideration what you recommended with hearing her footsteps it would I recommended with her still moving the environment even while phase walking.

Saying run x perk is not healthy nor is it a good arguement for a counter to spirit. Sure it works but you shouldn't be forced to run a perk to counter a killer. If I said "run corrupt if you dont want to be genrushed lol" I would be attacked.

Are you new? Old legion definitely needed a nerf it had NO counterplay like actually no counterplay you were going down no matter what. Good nursenplayers have adapted and re learned nurse she can still be strong the only problem she suffers from is the bugs they left her with.

Billy can still 4k and be good people blow this nerf out of proportion sure I hate the cooldown but I can still get kills with him and double engraving flicking is still possible. Ghostface has been buffed you still cant break him out looking at him point blank btw. Name some killers that have been nerfed due to survivors actually right now.

Devs dont appeal to survivors matter in fact it's been nerfs straight from 2018 patch 2.0 name a meaningful buff survivors have gotten since then. I'll wait.

Again the devs dont appeal to survivors and we are still playing. Window and pallet hits are still happening. If you are gonna claim something be ready to back it up.

Forgot to mention in my original comment, I'm not saying the game is balanced either. The game is far from balanced there is so many issues going on, on both sides, and it makes the game unfun for some people to play. Even if some nurses did adapt to the new nurse, you barely see any of those nurse players. personally I think Spirit doesn't need a counter because she's fine the way she is, but I was looking at some other comments and I'm thinking Spirit will be harder for newer players to face, so I'm not defending the killer as a whole saying that it's easy for new survivors to face off against her, because newer survivors don't know how to counter the Killer is yet. So I do agree she does need some counter play but she doesn't need a full-on nerf to where she's unplayable.

I never said Legion didn't need a nurse, he did need a nerve, except the devs ended up nerfing him into oblivion to where barely anyone plays in anymore. Ghostface can still be knocked out of stock mode, except you have to be with any 32 meter radius as well as looking at him with your Survivor eyes not just your camera. There is also a trick with Ghostface where if you can't see his knee when he's crouch stalking you then it's going to be where you have to get closer to him to knock him out of stalk.

I never said survivors didn't get nerfed a lot as well, tool boxes are almost impossible to use now and barely anyone runs them unless they have a sabotage challenge. but so many nurse says happened to Killers recently due to survivors wanting that killer nurse, nurse got nerfed into oblivion and barely anyone plays her either.

I'm not saying all killer nerves stem from survivors whining about it, but most of them do. My brother even said during the first week Ghostface was released that Ghostface was going to be nursed. I was expecting it because that was my first time playing dead by daylight last year.

And you cannot use the argument "you haven't been here long", because it doesn't matter how long you've been playing the game I'm still eligible to make my argument. It's not like I've only been playing the game for 2 months or 1 month, I have put 700+ hours into this game, I know it doesn't seem like a lot to those people who have thousands upon thousands of hours into the game, except I've seen quite a bit to know the situation.

people don't like playing against Spirit or strider spirit because they can be good at the game. And because survivors aren't always winning their matches some of them come to the forms to complain and say that the Killer is overpowered. If you looked at some of my other comment I did agree for newer survivors Spirit does need a way to be seen when she is phase walking, and how I suggested that is when she's running around you can notice the grass or corn moving slightly. She still affects the environment but not as much as she would if she wasn't phase walking.

  • @Unicorn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594023#Comment_1594023

I heard that Iron Will is pretty useless against her if she has Stridor. Fixated I can see it helping a bit, but not if the Killer is smart and or has the glasses add-on (I believe that’s the one that lets you track blood).

It's just a good combo on the off chance it isn't a Stridor Spirit. I'll have to go to the custom match lobby to check my Spirit (I don't play her, I just have all the DLCs) and check the add-on. But I did make a few suggestions on how they coulda sorta nerf Spirit if they were to, that way she doesn't get destroyed like Nurse.

I suggested just make it while she's phasing, she affects stuff in the environment, but not as much as she would if she wasn't phasing. That way people can't complain about being unable to know where she's walking. So the corn map for example, would be a bad map for her, but maps like Springwood would be good for her because it has many houses and open areas.

So if they nerf her, this would be the best route to go so Spirit mains don't have to change their play style.

I play her with out headset just tv speakers and I don't use stride.

I am glad you agree, because it'll help counter fake outs and people don't have to guess unless it's in an open area, it's a pretty fair trade off to be honest. Better than her being nerfed to where there is only the rare occasion being put against her here and there.

  • @sad_killer_main said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594085#Comment_1594085

Maybe I got confused because yeah, you need basic killer knowledge with every killer lol.

    Decent headset.... Depends.

Before, I had a regular stereo headset, now I have a virtual 7.1 headset. It's true that it adds more directions, but it's kinda the same. As long as you are not playing DbD on speakers or regular and casual "headsets" you are good (I'm not a native speaker, so it doesn't come to my mind the exact term, but I'm talking about those little speakers that you put in your ears with cables, you know).

My earbuds that I connect to my phone go brrrrr cuz I won't have a headset til' winter, speaking about the topic though, I hope one of the forum mods read through this thread, because I came up with a way that can help people guess where Spirit goes.

Make it to where, while phasing the grass, corn, ect. Move a tad. But not enough for it to be seen across the map, but enough for people to have a basic idea where they go. It forces them to stay on their toes and keep their senses heightened. You think Spirit is performing a fake out? Guess what look around the environment and see if something is moving.

  • @sad_killer_main said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594072#Comment_1594072

So he wanted to add those points to the list? I'm kinda lost right now.

Yeah, most likely. Because it is true that with Spirit you need a good headset, especially on Stridor Spirit. And you need basic killer knowledge, because well, it explains itself.

  • @sad_killer_main said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594056#Comment_1594056

I have talked about this before but.... I do have a good headset. And I don't want to sound entitled, but I think I have basic killer knowledge at the very least.

I think they meant in general, because you made a list of things for a killer. But for some Killers you do need a good headset you do need to have a basic understanding of how killer works. So it's not just you specifically it's just in general.

  • @Kumnut768 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594055#Comment_1594055

the reason most people want her reworked is because when playing survivor players want to use their experience and game knowledge in order to feel like your actually outplaying the killer but often with spirit it feels like "i shoulda just guessed better" i think the best way to go would be either a full rework or something to her basepower idk but she does need a change, spirit in her current state is not healthy for the game

I wouldn't say a full rework as it can possibly put her in the same situation as Nurse. But I also wouldn't say she's overpowered. Personally yes she does need a slight tweak for newer players. But if it's red ranks playing against her then most of them are able to hold their own, but some people still can't. So if they added something that helps with the guessing a bit that could help.

  • @Kumnut768 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594046#Comment_1594046

i do want a change because no killer should have a power where its just a 50/50 guess all of the time

That is true, I personally find the guessing fun. But others only want her nerfed for an easy win. So I think her moving stuff while phasing, such as grass or corn, would be a good counter. It helps to make guesses more accurate. What do you think?

  • @Kumnut768 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1593179#Comment_1593179

yh i guess thats fair actually but if they were to change her which at some point they are going to do if they dumpster her the backlash they would get would probably be enough for them to revisit her

I am glad you said this, cuz I don't want Spirit to end up how Nurse did. The devs have done so many killers wrong and I feel bad for killers cuz of it

  • @Unicorn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1593282#Comment_1593282

I’m not sure about the counter thing, I just know that she’s not all as bad as people make her seem. I think she’s pretty fun to face.

Fixated and Iron Will can counter pretty well. But if you don't wanna run those two perks that's completely fine. Doesn't mean she still can't be countered. I just hate people basically summing up their argument as they want to survive. Yeah, surviving is nice, but it's also nice not to have every killer nerfed where the game is unplayable.

Legion, Nurse, Hillbilly, Ghostface, and some other killers have all been nerfed thanks to survivors whining that they can't win. Some survivors and killers actually gave feedback on how they could be more balanced, but the devs appeal to the group that wants the killer to be unplayable, or easy to counter for the "GG ez" win.

But if the devs don't appeal to those whiny survivors, they stop playing the game. And that's not the so called "good for business" I mean you lost the whiny people, but you still have those who genuinely like the game and provide good feedback.

  • @nursewannabe said:

Oh look, another player confusing the killer screwing up out of pure chance with them actually outplaying because of skill

There's no outplay in what you do because there's no information/feedback on what the killer is doing.

It feels good to survive, but that's not an outplay. And I really doubt that out of "hundreds" of games vs spirit they all went this flaulessly. Either those spirits adapted, or they were bots, or you're talking #########

I have played at least 100 games against Spirit or more, some normal, some Stridor. I have done fine and I have won over half of those but not every single one. Do I come to the threads to get mad about it though? No. Because I genuinely like the place Spirit is at. People wanna nerf her on the off chance they find a good one.

But the player's skill determines whether they should lose or not. @Bradyguy99 explains this better in their comment. It's a mixture of a guessing game and what perks you run. But people make the argument they don't wanna run two perks (Fixated and Iron Will) on the off chance they face Spirit.

Same with people who don't wanna run Calm Spirit. If Spirit does get a nerf, she'll most likely be in the same position as Nurse where almost no one plays her. The people who adapted to their play style with Spirit have to change that because a handful of survivors wanna throw a fit when something doesn't go their way.

Once you learn to counter her, congrats, but Hillbilly just got a nerf, and two perks were buffed. If they change Spirit then this game has no hope of survival.

Because they decided to appeal to a whiny group of people who didn't survive. Sorry if that comes off as harsh, but it's true.

Spirit for example, is not for me.

I am hoping to be a 50/50 main, been trying to slowly get to it but the fear of facing rank 1s as a baby rank 20 scares me lol

  • I feel like an unranked game mode would be nice, fewer sweats than ranked. And everyone can have fun (aside from a few toxic players here and there). I think it'd be beneficial for everyone, so if people get tired of sweaty ranked with tunneling/killers, they can go to casual where everyone can vibe.

In casual, keys, and moris would be removed just to prevent arguments about that.

No need to apologize. I didn’t mean to come in here all defensive like that, I just wanted you to understand that there are Survivor Mains on the forums who are good debaters and can have a decent conversation with others they don’t agree with (same with Killer Mains). If it wasn’t your intention to instigate, then allow me to apologize for seeing it as such. The forums do consist of unnecessary toxicity from both sides, trust me I understand your POV. I’m just tired of it personally, and didn’t want to see it emerge in here.

No hard feelings, we stand together 💜

(Also, I find Spirit very fun to face personally.)

Gosh people like you are a blessing.

For example, today I'm spamming spirit to prove people that spirit is not as strong as they think she is.

    Spirit can be strong:

    • If you know how to play spirit
    • If it fits your play style
    • If you enjoy playing her
    • If you have played her a decent amount of hours

You can't just play spirit and instantly win games. That's not how this game works.

It's nice to find people on the threads that are just really sweet and nice to new people/people who have played the game for awhile. Or just killers/survivors who are nice to the opposing side. It makes me feel bubbly.

Also if devs buy into the whole "Nerf Spirit" movement, I will feel bad for Spirit mains, they'll have to adjust their play style because the devs keep pleasing the survivors. Not only that, Hillbilly didn't even need the nerf, only the add-ons.

And I can't begin to count how many people have said "Nerf Blight" when he's still in PTB, he's not public release, that's not the final product. Sit down, relax and just play your game, maybe eat a snack while you look over the final release version.

I agree about Spirit, I’ve made at least two topics trying to get people to see the fun side in facing Spirit.

I will say, however, I don’t like your delivery. It seems like your gaslighting and trying to get people to come and argue with you who oppose your opinion. A lot of us are adults & can comprehend/understand that people have their own opinions. I, too am a Survivor Main and yes, I don’t agree with a lot of things that people who are also Survivor mains spew (NOED is OP, Spirit is OP etc) but I don’t try to instigate negative discussions.

You had my vote until you said you were “waiting” for Survivors to come in here and get mad with you for agreeing with Killers. Not all Survivors disagree with you, & I’m pretty sure the ones who do won’t come in here and trash talk you because majority of us are better than that.

I wasn't meaning all Survivors in general if you thought I meant that, my apologies. I just see half the survivor mains on these threads get mad the second someone disagrees with them. Same thing with killers. If it came off as me trying to instigate toxicity, again I apologise. But I was honestly just waiting to be insulted or whatnot, because it happens so often that someone will get bashed for having a specific opinion and thought it'd happen to me for stating mine about the whole "Nerf Spirit, she's overpowered!" Argument.

Thanks, a survivor who uses the brain that's rare, but I appreciate those ones A LOT.

Actually, one thing I want to add for stridor, is that is not SO OP as people think it is. The volume is so loud, that sometimes you can't tell whether you are right next to them, or just a little bit far away.

It's just so many killers get loads of backlash and called toxic, but in reality survivors are just as toxic. We gotta defend each other, it's only a game. Just like PC and Console are both platforms that get played on, no need to group together the toxic people of a specific group and call the whole group toxic.

Games are meant to be fun, someone tried making a post saying removing SWF would remove toxicity, but killers can be toxic too. It's not only one groups fault, everyone has a contributing factor. And if a solo queue plays coordinated, they get called SWF. Honestly, people just need to learn to counter.

Spirit's Stridor has to be used correctly and you have to be able to pinpoint locations. It's a guessing game on both side. Spirit that doesn't have a great hold on Stridor yet? "GG ez baby killer" whelp you got yourself on a list of people to Mori, tunnel/camp, or just any way to ruin their experience.

If they learn to play good with Stridor, they get called toxic for using an "overpowered" killer. Yeah, okay.

Taking a break for an hour doesn't help when you're a Killer in the low ranks. I've been a solo Survivor since I started playing and even gotten to the red ranks before (and that's from playing multiple Survivor's, starting from level 1 each time). I'd say I do fairly well against Killers and since I like to mess with them, being camped/tunneled *when it does happen* feels deserved. In the end it's still enjoyable because my experience makes me a pain to deal with individually and the Killer's attention and persistence to get me makes it enjoyable. If you're trying to compare that to the stress Killer's have to endure when playing against SWF's then I'd say you're full of it.

Well SWF can still be nerfed instead of being removed as a whole, as I said before make it where more than one person can't use decisive strike, or borrowed time for example. It would stop them from using the same meme build constantly and add some counter play, one person may run a looping build, another an altruistic build and so on.

But OP wants to remove over half the player base claiming less toxicity, no matter what you play or fix in your game there will be toxicity regardless. OP treats it like killers can't be toxic either saying it's only SWF's fault. Regardless though, SWF is not being removed as it draws in most the playbase and therefore devs are going to keep it.

I find most people who say she can't be countered are the same who try and loop her like a normal killer.

Or admit she can be countered but dont like the fact that its alot of guess work. I personally dont mind that aspect of her, it feels alot more satisfying to juke her or at the very least make the chase last a long time. She's fine the way she is

It also has the surprise factor when she comes outta nowhere when she guesses incorrectly

What do you need to pip up for each set of ranks? I'm unsure of how that works nowadays (I've been away a long time). I noticed that now that I'm rank 6 I'll have matches where I'll do 2 gens, safe unhook 3 people, heal 2, & then survive--and I'll still safety pip?

Pretty much nowadays, you gotta do most the stuff in the game/do everything yourself. Stupid, yes, but also whether you escape or not is a huge factor

"Get gud" lol classic response of a toxic swf turd. It has nothing to do with thinking I'm "entitled" (I hope you stretched before that reach) it has everything to do with game balance. Every single swf I've ever seen has been a "deathsquad". I said it needs to be removed from public matches. There is no way to nerf an swf group. Aside from removal. Why would I care if we lose half the player base and are left with non toxic people who just want good games and not a toxic environment? I wouldn't miss them at all. Please, do tell, how would you nerf swf?

One perk limited to one person, OoO not included, and whatnot. And if every game you go against a deathsquad, take an hour break come back and continue. Try playing Solo Queue and see how you do against a tunneling/camping killer with teammates who don't care whether you live or die.

  • Git gud, killer, not every SWF is a Swat group or death squad. The entitlement is showing sweetie, and it's not pretty. But SWF doesn't need removed as a whole, probably a nerf and that's it. Plus if they did remove SWF that's over half the player base gone, good luck finding matches that way.

'Trying to make a point that survivors have it easy', 'you survivors.' This whole topic shows that you don't know what things are like on the survivor side.

I am a survivor main, Rank 4 Survivor, Rank 20 killer. So I have a good clue what things are like

  • I really enjoy the game, yes it has a fair bit of toxicity, but that hasn't stopped me I usually just take a break from the game and come back about an hour later. I have anger issues so I take things more to heart than most people. But I have been working on my anger issues, so I feel like when my anger issues are gone I won't get as frustrated with the game. Other than that, once the bugs are fixed and any other issues with the game I'm completely fine, because majority of the player base are nice, while the rest were just toxic. But I'm not going to let a small minority affect my overall view

I play 60/40 killer. (Mostly play surv with the gf.) I dont understand the compaints. I love being chased. To the point where, if im bored ill look for the killer. So naturally i learned how to counter killers in chase. Hardest ones for me to counter is a good doc and a patient ph. Other than that its cake.

The only ones I have an issue countering are great Nurses or a good PH, Freddy is kinda iffy

    1) That doesn't work if the Spirit isn't a potato. If she is phasing, she should still be able to hear you breathing when she passes by you, even without Stridor, but especially with Stridor. If you disturb any grass, corn, crows, etc. while she's phasing, you're dead even if she didn't hear you. If she isn't phasing and she's baiting you, that's a free hit. Depending on the situation she could also stop for a second before starting to phase just to see what you're going to do, and if in that second you start slowly walking back towards her, that's also a free hit.

    2) I assume you mean Iron Will, but am I supposed to run two perks at all times just in case the killer happens to be a Spirit?

Yes, I meant Iron Will, I was thinking Borrowed Time cuz I was talking to someone else about a build I run to make a point Survivors have it easy. But it's the same argument with Doctor and Calm Spirit. Usually you don't wanna run that build, but if you're gonna get upset you didn't win against a Stridor Spirit, run the build, or if you encounter a Doctor who spams shock blast, Calm Spirit.

You can never know exactly which killer you're going to face but so many people complain about these killers even though they don't face them 24/7 might as well run fixated and iron will if you have such an issue with Spirit, because apparently everyone who's played against Spirit faces her 24/7. Or anyone who has played against doctor faces him 24/7 so run calm spirit.
