I go back and forth on whether I think Huntress or Deathslinger is better but this is pretty much my list.
I agree with @Poweas, I think Hag and Oni are both stronger than Freddy.
If anybody thinks Plague is a weak killer then they have absolutely no idea how to play her. She is a solid killer in the right hands.
Everyone is gonna have different opinions though.
-
His ranged attack is not the easiest to pull off. The threat of him having that power and zoning you is better than using the power itself.
However even if you get a good map for him, he is nowhere on the level of Nurse or Spirit. He is a solid killer though.

You clearly don’t know what the word “simp” means.
The map is garbage because of how survivors can simply hold W and it takes the killers ages to catch up, and in the flip side, once the killer does catch up there are hardly and decent loops on the whole map. It also suffers from the same issue as haddonfield where you have great walls of China where the only option is to hold W up to catch up or leave them entirely.
if anyone is simping, it’s you
OoO is going to be absolute hell on Midwich.

Hag and Pig are boring because of how people choose to play them. 10 trap at hook Hag or Tunnel the trap Pig.
Huntress became worse to play against with Servers due to the fact that you get smacked by a hatchet around a corner.
Clown... meh, he's not that bad but being barely able to see anything cos he double gasses u at a loop is an eyesore
Legion is fine tbh unless you're one of these 4 slowdown + mending add ons players
Freddy has an overloaded kit god knows how it got past testing.
Oni equals Slugging and being Slugged on the floor not being able to participate in any gameplay IS boring, you don't play videogames to do nothing.
Ghostface just turn off your redstain at a loop for easy hits :) Can look at him long enough for him to expose you but you don't reveal him cos crap mechanic
Spirit, Deathslinger and Pyramid Head have little to no counterplay with their power. Spirit is self explanitory, Deathslinger can ADS instantly and Pyramid Head can remove pallets and windows with his power, the thing Survivors rely on in chases. Take it, you get range hit, fake it, he m1's you cos no penalty for cancelling.
You can have your own opinions on whats fun and whats not but i agree with both of them. They're killer mains that want a Survivor to have just as much fun AGAINST them as they are playing a killer.
Hag and Pig are not boring killers themselves but the way SOME people play them is annoying and boring as you stated. Trap tunnel Pig and 10 traps at the hook Hag is extremely tedious but it doesn’t make the killer boring but the players play-style boring. I’ve gotten a lot of very nice messages on the way I play Hag and a lot of nice replies on Pig because people love Pig for some reason. The actual killer is not boring.
ANY killer can be boring if the player chooses to play in a specific way but if you give any killer a chance and the person playing killer is not completely sweaty then the round can at least be enjoyable.
Yes I want the survivors to have fun in my matches but I’m not gonna cherry pick between killers and only choose between the killers people deem “fun”.
-
Female: I like all the female survivors honestly but my favorite is probably Nea.
Male: Steve

Give it a few days, it’ll die down. With PyramidHead being released less than 24 hours ago for console, many people are hitting him up.
I’d like to know where all the Pyramid Heads are...all I’ve been getting is Spirit, Legion, and Doctor.

Because the game and meta has become increasingly stale
Maps with little to no mind game-able loops where you hold W to win or run to a dead zone and die, killers with powers that are not engaging or take skill to outplay (Freddy, Spirit) no alternative objective outside holding M1, no strong perks for either side outside the same 10 or so as always, the COUNTLESS bugs with the game, hit boxes still feeling like garbage, balance issues, and more
Zubat and Scott as well as anyone who has played for a long clearly like the idea of playing Dbd, but when you load into a match and have to deal with the plethora of issues I listed, it kills any desire to play
My problem stems from the fact that literally EVERY killer is a complaint from somebody.
”Huntress hatchets have unfair hitboxes” which honestly I can’t argue that one. She is throwing refrigerators.
”Hag is territorial and doesn’t leave the hook, she’s boring.”
“Pyramid Head can fake his power and zone me so he’s uninteractive.”
“I have to gamble with Spirit so she’s boring.”
”Nurse doesn’t even play DBD because she can go through walls therefore she is unfair.”
“Oni can slug really well and is uncounterable when he has his power up.”
”Deathslinger can also fake his power and zone me.”
These are just random complaints that I’ve seen over different threads.
It just gets tiresome to see all these complaints. I get that everyone is gonna have a different opinion but if people are THAT bored and THAT tired of seeing the same shtick then why are they still playing?
And when big streamers start to dislike something or call something “boring” then people start bandwagoning without formulating their own opinion.
I do however agree on your views on map design. Holding W to win or getting all unsafe pallets like on the new map or Hawkins is very unrewarding. But that is because the game is super RNG based. Sometimes you get a gross set-up on Blood Lodge then get a dead zone on Azarov’s. One reason the game can never been competitive.
TLDR: People complain too much and hop on big streamers opinions without forming their own.

Alternative theory, they are just straight up bored with the game itself. Probably good for Scott to take a break then.
I absolutely agree They have THOUSANDS of hours playing DBD and play it as a job, of course they are gonna be bored after a while.
It’s not the killer’s themselves but the game as a whole. Not even five minutes goes by on Zubat’s stream where he doesn’t use the word “boring” or I see a resident sleep emote in his chat. The pessimistic energy gets draining. Sometimes you just gotta ask yourself why you’re even playing if you’re THAT bored.
-
I think you’re forgetting Demo’s pink add-on that makes him undetectable after exiting a portal.

Personally I find most of those killers named to be boring and most of my friends as well, maybe they are onto something
Not every killer you face is going to be your favorite. I personally love playing against Demogorgon but I rarely play against him. Do I want to only face Doc, Freddy, and Spirit? No. But I’m not gonna complain every round I go against them.
If over half the roster of killers is “boring” then why even play the game if you’re just gonna be bored? That makes no sense.
-
It’s understandable why anybody would wanna take a break ESPECIALLY from killer. Sounds are absolutely broken and it’s a pain to play killer when you can’t hear anything. No footsteps, silent slugs, no breathing when you have Iron Will, and survivors making zero injured grunts when they do not have Iron Will equipped needs to be addressed ASAP.
However I don’t agree that Pyramid Head is not interactive or boring. He has the same zoning playstyle as Huntress and Demogorgon.
I like Scott, I really do but he and Zubat both are super pessimistic at times and throw out the word “boring” a lot. I’ve heard at least one of them say Hag, Huntress, Freddy, Pig, Clown, Spirit, Legion, Ghostface, Oni, Deathslinger, and now Pyramid Head were either boring to play as or against. That’s over half the roster of killers claimed to be “boring”. I understand the game gets stale after you have so many hours in the game but the word “boring” is thrown around a lot.
^ watch this become the next copy pasta.
-
My guess would be Samara from the Ring. That would make a lot of sense.
-
It’s terrible. So bad that I’ve been playing Pig because I keep getting the new map. I played Huntress and got the map three times in row last night and that was enough DBD for the night for me.
The map is only bearable if you are a stealth killer.
-
I’ll one-up you with all my Spirit cosmetics 😎

-
You don’t use the Rite of Judgment unless you are pretty certain you’re getting a hit, like when a survivor is vaulting a window or going to a pallet and you think you can hit them. Don’t go for it unless you know you can hit it because he is punished by a long cooldown.
The threat of his power is more dangerous than the power itself. It’s just like Huntress and Demo zoning survivor into the area they want them to go.
-
He is the normal 115% but he can zone extremely well and has no cooldown when putting his knife away and he can immediately attack. So he can dig his trenches and zone you to an area and put his knife down and immediately swing. It’s not like Huntress putting away a hatchet.
I believe you also get a very slight slowdown when running through his trenches (I think you do but I’m not 100% sure) so he may seem fast when you walk through his trenches.
-
Killer: Spirit. She doesn’t have an outfit I don’t like
Survivor: Nea. She’s got A LOT of different colorful varieties that make her different from most of the cast.

Doctor's one sounds really cool, and it somehow motivates me to do better in the chase? It has an odd effect on me.
Oni's one is really awesome and the sound of it is really cool to me.
I'd say Doc takes it though, that's definitely my favourite chase music.
I like Doctor’s chase music from his perspective. Me and @Cornpopers_Evan always make fun of it though and say it sounds like a train coming after you. “Oh no, here comes Mr. Choo Choo”.
The only chase theme I DON’T like from the killer’s perspective is Demo’s. It’s too repetitive. They could’ve made the next verse in the track play from his perspective.
-
Out of the custom chase music, in order...
- Myers
- Demogorgon
- Oni
- Pyramid Head
- Doctor
- Deathslinger
They’re all really well done though.

Being “worse than Plague” is nothing to be ashamed of because Plague is a super strong killer in the right hands. I don’t see how people don’t recognize that she’s able to snowball super easily with her corruption. She is just as good at snowballing as Oni is.

Doesn’t Oblivious go when you’re within a certain meter radius of survivors though?
Whenever a survivor is asleep they suffer from the Oblivious status effect, so whenever you see the survivor outlined in a glowing bluish-white aura when playing Freddy, they you can tell they are asleep and oblivious.
Super easy to get as Freddy.
-
I like it aesthetic wise and it has a bunch of easter eggs so I can appreciate that.
I hate it gameplay wise though because it is walking simulator, it is massive, and it has confusing routes making it hard to locate generators and stairs. If the map didn’t have such a confusing layout then it wouldn’t be so bad.
-
On a good day, I am very good on both sides. If I’m having a really good day I’m probably escaping 90% of the time and 3-4K in my killer matches.
But I do have my potato days where I dead hard into walls and run into the killer. I also have my rough days as killer.
-
Depends on the killer honestly. My main three are Spirit, Plague, and Pig.
I usually use add-ons on Spirit but I don’t need to use them on her. I just prefer add-ons and now that I dropped PGTW on her, I feel as though I need SOME form of add-ons even if it is just brown.
Plague I mained for a long time without add-ons but I’m so used to the cooldown add-ons now that it is painful to play without them.
I never use add-ons on Pig.
-
For me it would be Plague. I’d love for her to have an archive story soon.
-
Any time I can actually hit hatchets with Huntress. She’s easily the most rewarding killer.
-
The only two I can’t play very well is Nurse and Deathslinger. I’ve become decent enough to not completely embarrass myself with Huntress.
The killers I’m most comfortable with is Spirit, Plague, and Pig.
-
The killer should only be able to mori survivors after they have already hooked every single survivor at least once.
So let’s say Meg gets hooked and Claudette saves...the killer is gonna chase Claudette so they can actually work towards their mori instead of tunneling Meg and ending her game in two minutes.
After the killer hooks every survivor at least once in the trial, THEN they should be able to mori who they want.

I think your forgot to mention that you're @Unicorns senpai
Don’t forget me and @GrootDude!
@Cornpopers_Evan is also our senpai as well 🥰❤️
-
I’m boring as hell but I’ll try...
•My favorite color is aqua (put me on blast all you want for being basic @Unicorn but aqua is such a pretty color).
•I have a brother who is two and a half years younger than me.
•I’m 21 🥂
•I love seafood specifically crab legs and salmon.
•No I am not actually a “Meg Main” but she was my first character I got to P3.
•My favorite TV show currently is probably Stranger Things and my favorite cartoon is without a doubt SpongeBob.
•I prefer single player games over multiplayer. I’ve played others like Rocket League and White Noise 2 but F13 and DBD are the only two multiplayer games that I have thousands of hours played. I usually like story-mode horror games like Until Dawn or Alien Isolation (which I still have to finish 😭)
•I have negative aim so I dislike FPS games.
•My sexuality is confusing even to me but I like both men and women.
•@Cornpopers_Evan is also my senpai 🥰
-
Yea because it’s not always a good idea to send a survivor to a cage. Plus those sweet sweet double bloodpoints.
-
I like seeing TTV (if they are streaming) because I get to go back on their VOD and watch the round back from their perspective. Helps me as a killer learn from my mistakes.
-
Reminds me of back in the day when two generators could spawn in the main asylum building.
Did a gen also spawn in the bathroom?
-
ARE THEIR ULTRA-RARE ADD-ONS GOOD
Trapper- Yes
Wraith- Yes but why choose either when Windstorm exists.
Nurse- Ehh...they’re okay
Myers- Tuft of Hair is one of the best ultra-rare add-ons but Judith’s is meh.
Hag- Mint Rag is super strong. Waterlogged Shoe is niche.
Doctor- Both are good
Huntress- Probably the most broken ultra-rare
Freddy- Both are good
Pig- Rule Set #2 should be base kit and Amanda’s Letter is mediocre at best
Clown- Pinky Finger is good. The other is meh.
Spirit- MDR is amazing but Father’s Glasses is for newer Spirits who can’t track.
Legion- Both are decent
Plague- Black Incense is the best ultra-rare in my opinion and Iridescent Seal is pretty good
Ghostface- Meh
Demogorgon- Terrible
Oni- Terrible
Deathslinger- The exposed one is okay the other is meh.
I don’t think many killers have TERRIBLE ultra-rare add-ons but most are just “meh”. I don’t believe many need a huge add-on change. Demo and Oni are the only ones that have both terrible ultra-rare add-ons.
-
The “Last Gasp” one that is based on Spirit.

You guys share different opinions and aren't tearing each other apart?! Disgusting lol I thought this was Dead By Daylight!
Nah @Poweas is a cool dude who never tries to start arguments with anyone. It’s totally fine if he has a different opinion, that’s what the forums are for. I respect whatever opinion he has.
What has DBD come to though? People who don’t tear each other apart? That is unheard of! XD

Same lol, but I can see why it'd be reworked to add more pallets and make the current ones less safe. That being said, it is one of my favourite maps.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1331384#Comment_1331384
Yamaoka is FAR better than Saloon, and that used to be my least favourite map before I realised how badly designed the Saloon is.
Springwood is bad, yes but it isn't half as stupid as the Saloon, at least it isn't COMPLETELY survivor sided.
Haddonfield is also badly designed, definitely, but all the devs have to do is reduce pallet safety. But I still see the Saloon as FAR more unhealthy for BOTH sides, but Haddonfield does make one side (survivor) way too strong, so I can understand this taking priority.
Mothers Dwelling can easily be reduced and Ormond can have the amount of pallets reduced.
Dead Dawg Saloon is just an unhealthy map for both sides. It deserves a rework. Although I can definitely understand if the devs were to rework Haddonfield or Mothers Dwelling first, but that doesn't excuse the fact that the Saloon is a disgusting map for both sides.
I personally hate Yamaoka because it’s super dark on console and you can’t change the settings, it’s a stealth players paradise. It’s still not great balance wise but it’s not THE worst.
Unpopular opinion but I believe Springwood is worse than Haddonfield. The school is an awful building for most killers and the map can also spawn fences that are longer than the Great Wall of China. Now that Balanced Landing got nerfed a while ago, Springwood is far worse. Haddonfield isn’t even that bad with it’s pallets, it’s mainly the buildings.
Mother’s Dwelling isn’t bad based on what tiles can spawn but it’s the size of Saturn. That map needs to be shrunk like the Temple and it’ll be fine.
Ormond is the worst IMO. It is nothing but one giant pallet loop with a strong central structure. The map is huge, has nothing but safe pallets, AND a strong central building. I also HATE those long wall loops that spawn on Ormond, Red Forest, and Yamaoka.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Saloon is a great map but it’s still relatively new so I’m doubtful it’s a high priority map change when they have maps like Ormond and the main building of Disturbed Ward that has existed for far too long. Especially because it implements the new breakable wall mechanic and doesn’t have any loops that are problematic. Most are unsafe.

Why wouldn't I understand? Do you think PC players don't experience framerate drops, ever?
Anyway, this is an issue for the devs to solve. Your solution, such as it is, is a band-aid.
All the OP was asking for a solution to an issue that we get on console.
It’s well known that console has more frequent FPS drops than PC does so no you DON’T understand how bad FPS drops are on console DBD specifically unless you’ve played on console yourself. Sure PC players get FPS drops but not to the extent of console players.
It’s so bad that it’ll turn your character around and you’ll lose track of the survivor. It’ll freeze your entire screen for a second or two. Which is why players either want an option to turn it off or for console to be optimized (which who knows when that’ll happen).
And how is the OP’s solution a band-aid mechanic? Bloodlust itself is a band-aid mechanic that was implemented to deal with infinites, strong windows, and pallet loops. If players rely on bloodlusting pallets and windows for kills then that is a band-aid mechanic. Opting out of bloodlust is literally the opposite of a band-aid mechanic.
-
I don’t see what the issue is. That looks like the average red rank survivor loadout. I see those builds all the time.
Now if they burned an Ormond offering, all had DS/Unbreakable/OoO, all had keys, and were all decent loopers then I’d agree with you.
-

Saloon isn't necessarily hard it's just really boring. It's genrush and hope the killer can't handle it, or get genrushed and have to sweat for the 4k.
No looping or interaction in it because of how unsafe the damn pallets are. That map SUCKS and is even more worse designed than Hawkins.
I don’t mind Saloon in general but I hate the fact that some tiles (especially the main saloon building) you HAVE to break the walls because it’s too safe. They’re basically pre-dropped pallets. No mind-gaming anything, just break the wall and chase to get a normal tile. Then most of the pallets are super unsafe.
I won’t complain about Saloon though because there a far worse maps than that. Springwood, Haddonfield, Mother’s Dwelling (it’s WAY too big), YAMAOKA, and Ormond are all far worse.
-
I don’t think slugging needs a change. I agree it’s unfun to be on the floor and bleed out but killers have to slug good teams in order to win.
Survivors also have PLENTY of perks to deal with slugging like Unbreakable, the upcoming Soul Guard, No Mither, and Flip Flop helps as well. Slugging has it’s counters.
-
I face Doctor, Freddy, Deathslinger, and Ghostface the most which explains my pessimistic attitude toward playing survivor.
I don’t face a lot of Nurse, Hag, and Demo sadly. I see them from time to time but not nearly as much as the other killers.
Every other killer it just depends on the day. I see them all a good bit.
-
I tend to do terrible on Lery’s. The map is super dark and boring gameplay because survivors just hide. Unless you’re a stealth killer.
-
Nurse is the hardest to learn with the steepest learning curve but I say Huntress is the hardest to master and become really good with.

Looking back on this, I truly think this comes down to if the character is executed well. As someone who has been part of both of these franchises for multiple years, I know that each has grown and FNaF is no exception.
FNaF fell into a pot with young kids obsessing with thriller/mild horror indie games, and at this point and time, seems to have gotten out of that pot. Though the younger audience may still remain, it is definitely a minority. The majority seems to be teenagers and older, and though that may not be reassuring, look at the Stranger Things chapter. It's specifically aimed for teens and up as well (TV-14) and well, a ton of teenagers and up watch it. That doesn't mean that some younger kids don't watch it, but that is a minority of people who watch it similar to FNaF.
A concept of this I came up with on Reddit got around 1.5k upvotes and rewards for Springtrap as a character, and it made me notice that it's not the character itself that's bad, but the fear of the execution and younger parts of the fanbase that may follow. Nobody wants some goofy unfitting animatronic moving through the Entity's realm, but it can fit well if it's retextured and slightly redesigned. Furthermore, the Demogorgon doesn't fit that well either, but it still works.
I think that a character like Springtrap would work well and play on many fears as well, as @BirdFlox said, it's unique but not too out there. A clanking abomination of a rotting corpse and metal would be terrifying to hear across the match and to see and hear approach.
TLDR: A FNaF x DBD (specifically Springtrap) crossover could totally work if it was executed well.
I agree. I just wanna see something refreshing. That’s why I loved the Demogorgon, because it’s completely different that all the other killers. The entire roster are just humans. I wanna see some beasts, monsters, creatures, robots, etc...
But as you said...it would have to be executed well.
-
I usually get nice messages when I play Pig because people are huge simps for her
-
I don’t hate playing any killer but I find Trapper the least enjoyable of the bunch. I hate having to sacrifice two gens to set up my power.
I dislike some killers because I‘m drained playing against them because I play against them WAY too much but let’s say hypothetically I went against every killer the same amount of times. I would dislike playing against Freddy and Billy the most.
-
I’m not even gonna lie...I have farmed a bit with Huntress because I’m terrible with her and since she has a new challenge out, I see it as my opportunity to farm for the “Skilled Huntress” trophy.
Usually I’ll message one survivor and they are more than willing to help me out, they are typically in a group. Some people catch onto what I’m doing during the round and we just farm.
I don’t farm often...actually I never farm unless the survivors initiate it and I’m in a good mood. But this opportunity with Huntress is too good to pass up.
Plus I’m sick and drained of sweaty matches.
