I made my account first but go off XD

Please fix this ASAP. What did they do to my girl 😭
-
I usually just go around the map and kick pallets or either stand in a corner and go make something to eat. Doesn’t give them the satisfaction, makes themselves look like idiots, and they’ll eventually leave.
It’s a win-win. I have time to make something to eat and they waste their time doing nothing 🤷🏼♂️

Guess I’m biased for having an opinion on a killer. Darn. What a shame 😭

There ya go fixed it for you :)
It seems as though you have more things to worry about than another persons opinion on a killer ;)
-
The forums are supposed to be a place for discussions but it’s usually back and forth bickering and the “us vs them” mentality. People can’t handle others having different views and start attacking each other.
I wouldn’t exactly say the forums are “killer biased” as much as I would say people don’t like others having a different view on things in game.
There are a fair amount of people who are killer and survivor biased, one doesn’t really outweigh the other. Once they start stating their views in certain topics that’s when the back and forth bickering begins.

To you. Not everyone thinks the same way. An opinion is just that, an opinion. Just because it’s different than yours doesn’t make it wrong and that is EXACTLY the mentality that you can’t have a discussion with.
Don’t like it? Well, that’s just tough ain’t it hon?

It’s my personal opinion on Spirit. Don’t he defensive.

The problem is that it's only being implemented for killers. Quick switching has always been a problem, and now that the Devs have implemented a system that locks characters... It only locks the killers. Survivors can still quick switch to whatever broken item they want, on whatever broken skin they want, and not give killers any time to react. It just feels kind of unfair, especially when you add in the cheating software that lets survivors see what killer they are going against.
I was agreeing up until you said “broken skin”.
How are a set of pixels somebody chooses to wear “broken”?

Well it's 100% a guess tbf and there's not really a "right" play for survivors. You can either not move, stay in the loop but move (either by vaulting towards her or by running around the sides a bit), or leave the loop. If you commit to the first option, she'll realize that, start phasing, and go smack you. If you commit to the third one, she'll start phasing and hit you before you get to the next pallet. If you commit to the second, you're still extremely vulnerable to phasing because she can still hear you and knows just about exactly where you are to start. You're also vulnerable to grabs if you vault and she is mind gaming.
That's why it works. Survivors have to 100% guess what Spirit is doing and whether they take a hit is mostly up to the Spirit. Guess wrong, you're getting hit or grabbed. Guess right, you're probably still getting hit, but you at least have a shot at getting away. With that said, Spirit is definitely vulnerable to perks like Iron Will, Diversion, and Quick and Quiet, and you at least have that chance of making a play and getting away. She still needs a nerf, though.
Yeah but why vault back into the Spirit’s face. You do the same exact thing that would do with a Pig trying to ambush you at a loop, run away from the walk or in Spirit’s case walk away if you are not injured or if you have Iron Will.
I also hate to be THAT person but if you are standing close enough to her and she is on the other side of the pallet and you see her start to sparkle then she is phasing. You can also listen for her footsteps if you have food enough headphones.
You could do anything and it would work better than vaulting back into her face. Don’t ever vault back into the Spirit. Ever. Unless you know for a 100% fact that she is phasing behind you by listening to her footsteps.
-
I don’t understand how survivors still fall for the stand still “MiNdGaMe”.
It’s funny because it shouldn’t work as much as it should. These are the same survivors who complain about Spirit.
-
No
-
High map mobility killers really don’t need gen slowdown perks. Nurse, Spirit, and Billy honestly don’t need any kind of gen slowdown perks.
A lot of other low map mobility killers (Plague, Pig, etc) or set-up killers (Trapper and Hag) could use gen slowdown perks so the gens don’t fly by too quickly.
I’m trying to wean myself off of using gen slowdown perks though because I’m experimenting with other builds since I find gen slowdown perks to be pretty uninteresting. I never use those kind of perks on Spirit or Pyramid Head.

It's really not that hard to track survivors with iron will if your using stridor and have good headphones
I used stridor before i prestiged her and only 3 survivors in all the games I've played managed to loop me for longer then 30 seconds
I am open to having my mind changed if someone could actually tell me how to counter her.
Im a Spirit main btw
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V83EW7FAL1FN/save-13.png
I’m a Spirit main as well, I have been ever since her release almost two years ago.
There is no clear cut “counter” to Spirit other than predicting where she is going to phase and not moving in a predictable pattern. Most killers “counters” are either basic looping or dropping pallets early (Freddy, Clown, Doc). Spirit is different where you're basically just predicting on where she’s going to phase and listening for her footsteps. Is it a guessing game? Yes. But that’s just how she is designed. If survivors knew the Spirit’s exact location while she was phasing then she’d be terrible.
My point is that survivors are STILL quieter than normal especially someone like Ace and you can still disorient and confuse the Spirit. It’s not impossible run a Spirit if you know what you’re doing and don’t make predictable movements. Of course you’ll eventually go down but that’s supposed to happen, it’s just more unsatisfying to go down to a Spirit because you can’t physically see her location.
You can still do things to disorient the Spirit in a chase and confuse her. She’s a strong chase ending killer. Of course a GOOD Spirit is going to end chases quicker than a Bubba.
-
Oh really? Well all I’ve been getting is Badham, Haddonfield, Badham, Badham, Badham, Yamaoka, BADHAM, Haddonfield as an offering, Cowshed, BADHAM.
Hawkins and Midwich are sooooo boring for any killer that’s not a stealth killer.
-
I don’t know if I’m just good at facing Spirit or if everyone else is just bad. I never complain about facing Spirit, she’s unique and different a and requires you to play differently.
If you have Iron Will and the killer has Stridor then you are still making injured sounds at 50% quieter than normal which can still throw off the Spirit’s tracking. I’ve gotten throw off of my tracking with Spirit even when I have Stridor equipped because the survivor was quieter than normal or something like wonky scratch marks.
Spirit can still hear you but you’re still super quiet (depending on the survivor you are playing) and you can throw off her tracking but when you make very predictable movements and camp pallets then it is a cakewalk for her.
It’s not like you can hear the Spirit’s footsteps or use pallets and windows to your advantage. Nope. She’s super uncounterable.
And usually when people say “change my mind” they are already set in their ways and won’t change their mind regardless so what’s the point.

That makes Leatherface and Legion too powerful if they can 4K without perks and add-ons. All I needed was Mindbreaker and I 4k’ed that makes Mindbreaker way too strong.
Please nerf.

• Hook struggle mechanic changed
• Bloodpoint cap increasing each after devotion level
• Prestige rewards
• Picking the background you like. They put so much work into the Silent Hill background, it would be nice to make it my permanent background even after they eventually stop using it.
• Being able to pick the menu music we wanna listen to. I’d love to have the Stranger Things menu music as mine.
-
He has slowdown, map pressure, and a good chasing ability. He’s a very good killer. A tiny bit overrated but still really good.
-
Bubba and Hag easily with Wraith following closely behind
-
@MrDardon Spirit can’t rely strictly on things like breathing and grass moving when sounds are absolutely broken. Half the time survivors don’t even make footstep sounds. Grunts of pain are really her only way of reliably tracking and sometimes survivors don’t even make injured sounds when they don’t have Iron Will equipped.
If sounds worked and STAYED working then maybe I can see it working but you can’t rely on something that doesn’t work half the time.
Spirit kinda has to rely on all of the things she currently has in her base-kit to be a threat especially with broken sounds.

Case in point.
Scott said he enjoys going against Billy.
hexy absolutely hates Billy and rages against him constantly.
I enjoy watching both of them play the game though.
Two players with combined like 10000 hours in the game or more and have two complete opposite opinions.
I just don’t see the point in making MAJOR changes to most killers unless they are game breaking (like old Legion).
You’ll never be able to please everyone and I’ve seen complains about every single killer. It’s just not feasible to make every killer “fun” when not every players have the same idea of what is “fun”.
I enjoy Myers, Demo, Oni, and Nurse. Two of those killers I constantly see people call “boring”.
I hate Billy, Legion, and Freddy. One is considered “fun” and the other are just on the long list of “boring” killers.
People call Hag boring to play as and against and I enjoy Hag on both roles 🤷🏽♂️
Maybe I’m just weird.

Then all the community are bad survivors. We are all boosted, damn! Since we are all bad, we should consider to go back to minecraft skywars! We were good here!
I didn’t know ALL of the community universally hated Spirit and can’t survive a chase for more than 20 seconds. Darn. I guess my entire SWF group is bad even though we can consistently beat Spirit. That’s a shame.
LOVE the sarcasm by the way. You’re messing with the king of sarcasm honey 😘
-
The reason people complain about her is because she has no interaction in a chase. She stands still and all of a sudden appears behind you without any indication of what she was doing. So I understand why she is disliked. Even I can admit this as somebody who mainly plays Spirit.
But people also potato against Spirit because they try to play against her the same way that you would a killer like Trapper. You have to change your playstyle against each killer and doing basic looping against a Spirit simply will not work.
Saying all that though, people tend to forget that she is purposely designed this way. That’s just the way that she is. If you had a clear indication of where she was during her phase walk then she would be significantly weaker. She used to have an omni-direction whooshing sound which made her very “meh”.
And the ideas people have had such as survivors making no injured groans during phasing would just butcher her. Sounds already are very bugged and having the Spirit rely strictly on footsteps and grass movement would be ridiculous. Or having the Spirit have a white stripe behind her like Nurse does while blinking would also make her much weaker due to the fact that Nurse moves faster and covers much more ground while blinking than Spirit does while phasing.
Maybe make it so her shards CLEARLY glow when she starts to phase so the survivors know “Okay, she’s now beginning to phase”. But knowing exactly where the Spirit is while she is phasing would weaken her A LOT.
I also run Iron Will all the time so my opinions might be skewed a little since I never have major issues against Spirit.

You got looped being spirit? Man its not even bait at this point
Or maybe you’re just bad at survivor and don’t have game knowledge on how to play against certain killers. You can’t play against every killer the same way. I wasn’t technically “looped” but they weren’t bad suvivors. It’s not like playing Spirit always equals a 4K especially against experienced players.
I got OG Badham and they wasted my time because they knew how to survive for just long enough to get all the gens done since they all split gen progress and I couldn’t pressure everything since I run no slowdown perks on Spirit. I still killed two survivors but that’s a loss to me :/
-
Playing killer in general takes knowledge and skill whether you’re playing a hard killer like Nurse or a basic killer like Ghostface.
Spirit takes practice. You can easily demolish average teams but she’s still gonna struggle against good teams and if you haven’t put in practice as Spirit, you’re gonna be real hurt when you go against a sweaty SWF at Rank 1 because you won’t win. You have to actually know what you’re doing, it’s not a spoon-fed victory just because you’re Spirit.
People who say “I can play Spirit and 4K easy in red ranks” are going against average players or potatoes. You can 4K as any killer against a majority of survivors. I can play Spirit well and just last night I lost two games in a row because the survivors were efficient loopers and split gen progress. Even experienced Spirit players will lose from time to time especially against good teams.
I pretty much learned how to play killer well by using Spirit when she released so I didn’t have the typical experience :/

Was this seriously worth necroing?
Also Spirit got nerfed. She has a vaulting animation now, she can no longer clip against survivors when phasing, and a few of her more powerful add-ons got toned down a notch so she can't do things like performing a 16 meter lunge.
I knew the lunge was SUPER long but was it really 16 meters?
-
Am I being swerved? Legion stronger than Spirit? In what universe.
Spirit is less loopable, has better map pressure, and better chase potential. If the Spirit opens her ears and just listens then it’s very hard to counter a Spirit.
With Legion just pallet loop them. You can’t actually down survivors with Feral Frenzy. This isn’t 2018 Legion.
Their Frenzy gives survivors Borrowed Time and a sprint burst and they are basically playing tag with the survivors. It’s super uninteractive and tedious. Not strong whatsoever though.
Legion HAS to slow the game to halt in order to have a chance. All Spirit has to do is track well and quickly end chases.
Legion is low tier and Spirit is top tier. I don’t see how anybody can logically think Legion is stronger.
-
I don’t think any of the licensed killers are bad (except current Bubba but he is getting changed).
Even though Bubba is getting changes, I still feel like he is the weak link of all the licensed killers.
This is my personal tier list of licensed killers.
- Freddy
- Myers
- Ghostface
- Pyramid Head
- Demogorgon
- Pig
- Bubba
-
Huntress. She can either be a beast or a joke depending on how good the player is at playing her. She has reliable counterplay but is still able to be a threat.
However, due to the fact that she is throwing refrigerators she can be frustrating as hell to face.
-
@lucid4444 said:

The nurse at least closes the gap between her an the survivor and huntress isn't slowed down that much after a missed attempt. Deathslinger's reload hurts SO much, which is why the best and only useful addons are the ones that increase the reload speed.
Nurse loses line of sight super easily due to fatigue and has a lot of maps where she’s hindered quite a bit. Plus she can’t immediately blink more than once right after fatigue. You HAVE to be close to perfect with Nurse in order to be a threat.
Sometimes Deathslinger’s best form of offense is not even using his power. The threat of the gun is better than actually using it sometimes since survivors will try to juke your power and lose distance. Deathslinger doesn’t even have to use his power all the time to be a threat unlike Nurse and Huntress.
Let’s not forget that Huntress has to go out of her way to reload at a locker and drop chase. Deathslinger can still chase and reload.
-
There’s not many killers that I wouldn’t be okay with and I can’t think of any off the top of my head besides real-life killers since they shouldn’t be glorified in any way.
Springtrap would be a fine addition. I’d rather have Xenomorph, Jason, etc...but I see no problem with Springtrap.
People who use the excuse “FnAf Is FoR cHiLdReN” are just making excuses. DBD has it’s fair share of squeakers and adding a FNAF chapter isn’t gonna overrun the game with any more 9 year olds than there already currently is.

I’ve never has issues with Spirit’s Hallowed Blight cosmetic. I’ve had issues with Hag’s Hallowed Blight and Demogorgon (when I play as those two killers).

This could not be further away from reality.
Imagine being a killer who:
1. Has an incredibly high skill floor and ceiling.
2. Gets no guaranteed rewards for playing well.
3. Has to suffer through more than 10 seconds of cooldown for a single down, no mistakes and as optimally as possible.
4. Is slow as #########.
5. Is tall and visible as #########.
6. Gets punished the MOST for not being absolutely PERFECT with his power.
7. Barely forces survivors to play differently. The amount of loops he's able to cancel is negligible.
I believe Nurse and Huntress are punished more for not being perfect with their power. Nurse has a long fatigue and a cooldown on her blinks and Huntress has a wind up and can’t fake out a survivor as well as Deathslinger.
Deathslinger can just walk at a survivor to “fake” them out due to the survivor not knowing when he will shoot because he has instant ADS.
-
Not against it

The thing is with a fnaf chapter, what would be springtrap power? In the games the animatronics are attracted to koud sounds. This was one mechanic that the player also used to keep springtrap away (that hello sound in fnaf 3).
So maybe when survivors makes a loud sounds springtrap goes into a frenzy and runs towards the place where the sound came from. But all over the map there Will be certain boxes that can make a hello sound that also triggers springtrap ability (so Basically survivors are going to use these boxes to bait springtrap to go to the wrong side of the map).
Another quostion for a fnaf chapter would be who the survivor is? Maybe the nightguard from FNAF3?
I dunno what Springtrap’s power would be but I feel as though he should be a stealth killer. In FNAF 3 he can just show up out of nowhere and pop in the doorway and kill you.
-
If I had fun then I win. If the match was enjoyable for me then that is all that matters. Whether I escape or kill them all is irrelevant. All I care about is having a fun match.
-
Because a lot of killers who use iridescent add-ons notoriously play super sweaty just like survivors who used old syringes. Using Iri Head with an ebony is basically spoon feeding you a victory. Who likes going against that? And how can anyone feel good about winning using that?
A lot of killers most powerful add-ons aren’t even ultra-rare though like...
• Old Prayer Beads
• Old Frank’s Mix Tape
• Insta-Saw
• Scalped TopKnot
• Omega Blink
• Pig and Demo’s best add-ons are brown and yellow
-
SPIDERS. Their faces are creepy and seeing a picture of a spider face will quite literally makes me throw my phone across the room.
I’m not afraid of the ocean. I love going to the beach but things like shipwrecks and seeing things that shouldn’t be underneath the surface is very spooky. Seeing the wreck of the Titanic or a sunken airplane is very ominous. They’re basically graveyards underwater.
I also have a fear of being in small places and being trapped like a cave or an elevator.
-
I personally enjoy the female killers more because they typically have cooler powers, an intriguing backstory, and are very well designed. Not saying the male killers aren’t but the female ones just look better IMO.
For the females you have a killer who can go through walls, a ghost who can go invisible, a priestess who vomits on you, a grandma who can teleport to a different body, and a Russian who sings a lullaby and chucks hatchets.
I wouldn’t want more female killers just for the sake of them being female but I’d want more females because they just seem better to me than most of the male killers.

Killers are forced to bring two and sometimes three perks to counter genrushing. That sounds fun
You’re not FORCED to bring any gen slowdown perks. I play Spirit with BBQ, Nurse’s, Stridor, and Shadowborn of all perks and I do just fine. Once you wean yourself off of boring slowdown perks you find matches to be much more enjoyable now that you have perk slots to use.
And I used Spirit for an example because I know you main Spirit.
-
Yamaoka because it is way too dark and survivors play super immersed leading to boring gameplay.
Midwich is easily #2 and the worst indoor map.
-
Midwich doesn’t have many breakable walls that you HAVE to break in order to continue chasing. There is only like one or two walls that you HAVE to break.
On the Saloon, you HAVE to break most of the walls to even chase normally. The entire main building is an infinite if you don’t break the walls on the top floor. You absolutely have to break most of the walls to even chase. That’s bad design.
If the breakable walls are like they are on Midwich but the map is the size and layout of Saloon then they would be fine.
But no I don’t want them to add breakable walls to older maps EXCEPT the Disturbed Ward, I feel like breakable walls could make the main building a little less safe.
