Not really, there are a lot of people, but if you're not so well known, it gets swept under the rug. Scott making those type of videos encourages people to step up and make a thread about the topic. But it is true, there are some people that blindly agree with everything content creator says.
It’s just that every time a popular content creator does something whether it’d be a “hot take”, a killer they personally find unfun or fun, thinking a killer takes “no skill” or has no counterplay, or a tier list, etc...people will piggyback and not form their own opinion. I hate the argument of “*insert popular content creator* said this so it’s fact and I’m going to piggyback off their opinion”.
It’s not the content creators fault but people are so quick to hop on their favorites opinions. An examples is that I didn’t NEARLY see as many people complain about DS/Unbreakable until Scott dubbed it the “small pp” build. Now all of a sudden people wanna make threads saying it’s an uncounterable combo. Okay, where was this same energy before somebody said something about it?
But about this specific thread? Uh, I think we all knew how biased, wishy washy, and stubborn forums members are. It’s such a minuscule thing but we just GOTTA make the thread about “Scott Jund is right for the 80th time about something we all knew about”.
-
You’re right. It’s not a license to facecamp. Any killer can facecamp if they like. They don’t need a reason. If a Bubba wants to Insidious facecamp you he can. If an Iri Head Huntress wants to facecamp you, she can. If a sweaty Nurse wants to facecamp you, she can.
I don’t like it. You don’t like it. But the killer does not need to justify anything to you because they can play however they want to.

And what them not playable by a large chunk of the community.
I disagree. Meg is QUITE loud and she is probably the most played female character along with Claudette (who is also on the louder side). Even just her breathing is super loud. Feng is loud. Yui is loud. Jane is THE loudest and they are played quite often.
I don’t know why many people don’t played Jeff and Ash but it’s not because they’re loud or else everyone would be an Ace main.
-
The sky is blue. The grass is green. And here’s another “Scott Jund said so” topic.
I really like Scott and I enjoy his videos and he is right about what he said in this video but how come every time he posts a video about a topic that we’ve known about for the longest time now people piggyback and are like “Yep. Popular content creator said this. Now it’s fact”.
Nothing personal against Scott, but I dislike how people agree and make topics and typically agree simply because he’s a well know content creator.
I’m pretty sure most people already knew how the forums are. There is biased galore around here. Half the topics don’t even make sense.
-
I hate Lery’s but Midwich is just “run the long hallways and be as boring as possible”. I personally dislike Midwich the most on both sides.
The Game is probably the worst map actually though due the map being littered with nothing but safe pallets. It’s awful.

Nurse is slower than every other killer except when using both blinks, but then you have to wait fatigue plus blink cooldown to become fast again. Single blink nurse moves at about 105%, but ignores walls when going in straight lines, but no good nurse max blinks in straight lines when chasing a survivor. You can literally hold w to get away from a nurse provided you break los and get away.
Sure Nurse has a fatigue and has to wait for her blinks to come back but after her fatigue ends she pretty much has one blink already recharged and has to wait a whooping three whole seconds for the next one. Her blink recharge is barely even noticeable. Plus there are add-ons to lessen the duration of fatigue and the blink recharge speed.
She is punished by whiffing but it’s not nearly as punishing as people claim it is especially due to her add-ons and the strength of Nurse in a chase.

I don’t think you understand what the issue is with Spirit. It’s not about who can snowball the best or down survivors quickly. It’s about the lack of interaction she has when it comes to playing against her. Survivors have no way of telling what she’s doing which turns it into a blind guess for survivors. It’s not fun and rewarding gameplay, especially for the fact almost anyone with headphones can pick up Spirit and 4k most matches.
But to truly reply to you. Don’t assume that “I don’t know what the issue is”. Because have mained Spirit in the past and still play her (not nearly as much though). I think she’s very fun to play and I’m gonna play whoever I want.
She used to be extremely broken and she got a bunch of changes that made her more bearable. People will always complain about her regardless.
She only needs a few changes. Letting the survivors have a clear indication of when she is phasing. Maybe also small glimpses of her while phasing similar to old Freddy. Her actual power itself is not going to change but making it so the survivors have more information to work with while she is phasing would be the only thing she probably needs.
People will still find a way to complain though.
-
I got it last night. I am red ranks but I got three Rank 15 survivors and one red rank. I also got Blood Lodge so the map was in my favor.
Basically slug for the 4K and don’t use his power. Thank goodness that adept nightmare is over with.

You said she was the best snowball killer in the game besides Oni and I was simply saying killer that are BETTER at snowballing because I don’t think she is a killer that she do that AS well as others can.
The “lack of interaction” the Spirit has is a problem yes but that’s not what you said in you initial post that I quoted. You were talking about her strengths not how interactive she is in a chase.
EDIT: I confused two different people for each other. I’m a big brain.

I disagree.
Their powers are somewhat similar in execution: The ability to quickly close in on survivors. They both come with a drawback. The nurse has to time her blinks to cover the right amount of distance, while the Spirit cannot see survivors while out of phase.
The -huge- difference, though, is that Nurse suffers really heavy repercussions for whiffing this very strong power. If you mistime or miss your blink, you are stunned for 3 seconds AND you can't see anything!
Whereas if Spirit gets thrown off during Phasewalk, she just picks the chase back up -immediately-. This lack of a consequence to getting juked makes her so unfair. A perfect outplay will barely net you any distance against Spirit. Against Nurse, it adds a ton of time to the chase.
Spirit would need something that would heavily punish her for misreading a situation or getting juked in order to bring her in line. Perhaps something like "Once you let go of phasewalk, for the next five seconds, you can't see survivors or their scratch marks. You can still attack during this time".
Just make her pay for getting thrown off, like the nurse does.
Why though? If Nurse messes up she’s not punished as heavily as people think. She has like a 3-5 second recharge on her blink and with add-ons she can basically blink right after her fatigue. She’s insanely fast in her blink and can make up a lot of distance.
Spirit can’t be punished AS hard because she’s 110% with a 15 second recharge on her power so if the survivor is at a relatively safe loop then Spirit has to play normally until her power is fully recharged. Nurse just doesn’t care because her blinks are back super quickly especially with add-ons.
Both of their “punishments” for messing up their power are pretty equal. Nurse loses LOS due to fatigue but has her blinks back quickly. Spirit gains a speed boost but if she screws up then she is out of a power for 15 seconds and is just a 110% killer.

How though? She really doesn’t have any weaknesses compared to the rest of the cast
She has insane mobilty and is great at pressuring gens that are higher up
she has exceptional chase potential and is by far the best killer at getting downs
She has the best snowball in the game besides maybe oni
i don’t see how this is balanced
Spirit is not a snowball killer. Nurse, Myers, Oni, Twins, and Plague are arguably better at snowballing than Spirit is. Sure she can end chases easily but she still has a recharge on her power and is 110%. She’s not downing the entire team in 30 seconds like an Oni or Myers.
-
I find morning survivor matches to be causal and usually chill. Morning killer matches are usually rough and sweaty. It’s the exact opposite for the nighttime.
-
Legion has absolutely no chase power. They’re the killer with the weakest chase potential. Their power is to give survivors BT and a Sprint Burst and to slightly annoy them by mending. A lot of survivors don’t bother healing leaving you with an even less threatening power. It’s boring and tedious to face a Legion, it’s just no fun. It’s a basic M1 killer that can run just a bit faster than you and then leave you to mend. Hit and run is so boring because there is barely any interaction with the killer leading to a snoozefest. Which is why I also dislike killers like Wraith and Ghostface who follow the same “hit and run” concept.
Legion was flawed from the start and their power can’t be too strong since they circumnavigate windows and pallets leaving the survivors with no counterplay (as we saw with old Legion). Legion needs to be reworked from the ground up in my opinion.
-
Spirit and Nurse are very unique killers so I tend to enjoy facing them because it’s a different experience from the other killers but they’re not particularly enjoyable if the player is very good at either one of them.
There is just not much to do in a chase against them. They’re the only two killers with limited counterplay, great chase potential, and map pressure. Throw on slowdown perks and it’s a nightmare.
I don’t run into many REALLY good Spirit or Nurse players. You can usually try things in a chase but those good ones? GG. You’re done. Game over.
Spirit and Nurse along with killers like Deathslinger and Hag are only enjoyable to face if the player is either bad or mediocre. If the player is great at them then it’s a slog.
-
Both but usually killer. It depends on the killer though. I find killers like Legion and Huntress (because most of the content creators I watch main Huntress) INSANELY boring to watch. While killers like Oni and Plague I find super enjoyable.
-
They’re all just skins, nothing different other than aesthetic purposes. It’s all on the player.
BUT I do dislike some survivors due to their voice. I cannot stand Elodie’s voice. It’s like nails on a chalkboard. It’s so bad.

Funny that you say he's just a Freddy even though Freddy ripped off Clown's power with his rework, and he ripped off Hag as well by being able to teloport although he can't do it as much as Hag can.
Freddy can do everything Clown can do but better. His traps slow down survivors for a longer period of time (without Clown using add-one of course), can teleport and have way better map pressure, and has semi stealth when survivors fall into the dream world. Freddy just has it all. I just think Clown is discount Freddy personally.
Maybe Freddy did “rip off” Clown but he can still do it better than Clown.
I don’t like either of their playstyles however because it doesn’t suit me.
I’m sorry but so but there are so many killers better than Clown.
-
I just don’t think Clown is good and provides extremely boring gameplay on both sides. It’s just “drop pallet early and move to the next loop” for the survivor and “chuck bottle and kick the pallet that the survivor inevitably drops early” for the Clown. He’s just personally not fun for me.
You have killers who can teleport, go through walls, go invisible, have insta-downs, use a harpoon, throw hatchets, etc...and what does Clown do? Chuck bottles that slightly inconvenience the survivor.
He’s just a Freddy that can’t teleport or have any sort of map pressure :/
Sorry I just don’t like Clown’s gameplay.
-
The reason I believe people are saying that the latest chapters have been “underwhelming” is because there has been no new maps. I understand why because of the reworked maps but it’s been so stale as of late because of no new maps. The maps are usually a big part of hype for the new chapter.
They could’ve done great with maps for Blight, Twins, and Trickster.
I still believe the Legion chapter was worse than Twins though:
-
100% Legion. Everything about Legion is bland and a snoozefest.
-
I guess every killer should have to reload their power at lockers.
Blight gets his serum at lockers. Nurse gets her blinks from lockers. Spirit gets her phase ability from lockers.
*This is completely satire by the way*
-
Killer: Plague. She’s such a great killer with amazing potential that people sleep on.
Killer perk: Probably Make Your Choice? But I feel like people already know it’s good. It’s just not used often unless it’s a Hag.
Survivor perk: WGLF. It completely counters a slugging killer especially if they have Sloppy Butcher. There have been many times where the killer couldn’t keep up enough pressure with slugs due to WGLF.
-
Whenever somebody says “The Dark Times” I think back to the Legion release and all of their complete and utter BS. That was when everybody immediately DC’ed against a Legion and everyone was having a terrible time.
I hate that phase of DBD. December 2018-April 2019 was so painful.
-
You can’t say tunneling or camping because sometimes despite the rank, the killer HAS to do one of these things to secure a kill.
You can usually tell the difference with a few things
• The killer has map awareness
• The killer doesn’t commit to chases that will waste their time
• The killer doesn’t easily lose track of the survivors
• The killer tries to mindgame jungle gyms and use red stain manipulation and doesn’t just run the tile like a complete bot
• Usually more experienced killers will slug more often
• The killer isn’t easily 360’ed and doesn’t whiff as much
-
A seemingly enjoyable killer by most that I hate is easily Huntress. I HATE chases with Huntress so much. The overall match is usually never a curb stomp but the individual chases with her are so unfun. I hate the latency issues with her.
-
They changed Demo, Oni, Pyramid Head, and Doc’s from their respective PTB so I am hoping they change this one. It just doesn’t do it for me. The menu music for Trickster is absolutely amazing so I’m hoping they change it to something more like that.
-
Winning the game
-
Ah yes. It was all the Trickster that killed the mood for DBD. Not Dwelf. Not penguin Zarina. Not elephant OR Santa Clown. Not bunny Legion.
I just enjoy the fact that it’s not another bland slasher knock off with a mask and a knife. It’s new and they are expanding on different tropes. The fact that the killer can be pretty and charming (which most serial killers are) is something NEW. Not every killer has to look like Billy and Myers ya know :/
-
The killer being “scary” is a matter of opinion. Not every killer has to be big and imposing to be scary.
I personally think Legion is the lamest design wise. Legion looks like a slasher villain from a D List movie

I mean you should play other killers than Nurse and Spirit because a lot of others are unique from them... Hag and Myers are nothing like Spirit and Nurse and are fun in their own way. The point of this post is that Trickster ISN'T unique enough from Huntress to be as bad as he potentially could be.
Why do people resort to comparing every ranged killer to Huntress? People compared Plague to Huntress and Deathslinger to Huntress and it’s always the same “Why would I play this killer over Huntress?”
Maybe because I can’t play Huntress well? Maybe I don’t like Huntresses playstyle? Maybe another ranged killer is more aesthetically pleasing to me? I just hate the comparisons to Huntress when every killer is unique.
He’s nothing like Huntress gameplay wise. He throws tiny blades and she throws orca sizes hatchets. Her hitbox is a sphere and his is a needle. He can throw over more loops and has a shorter wind-up time and throw massively faster and a lot more projectiles than she does. They have their differences.
If anything he is more similar to Plague. I see no similarities to Huntress other than the fact that they are ranged and Trickster is a LIMITED range while Huntress is unlimited range.
-
Why play any killer when Nurse and Spirit exist? They’re clearly well ahead of the entire roster in terms of strength.
You see how dumb that sounds? I personally have my fair share of killer I enjoy and I’ll even play the ones I am not comfortable with because I get bored of playing the same ol’ killers. If I only stuck with playing comfy killers I’m used to like Spirit and Plague I never would’ve gotten better with killers like Deathslinger and added more variety to my play time as killer.
People will play who they want regardless of if they are good or bad. I believe Legion is the worst killer in the game but I see them more frequently than I do killers like Spirit and Freddy.
I’m gonna play Trickster because I love his look and his looks like he has a fun power to use 🤷🏽♂️

I can guarantee you one thing for sure...

I personally do want him, mainly because of just how unique in design and power wise he'd, hopefully, would be but, I'd absolutely have a complete field day if with just how much people would get pissy over it! xD
So you woke up and chose chaos?
-
Me and you have had countless back and forths for about a year in party chat between chapters after teasers. I really think this one is an original, I know you want a licensed chapter though :/
I mean it’s a glitched logo and if it does happen to be licensed then I think I know who that could be.
Purple G...no
William Af...no can’t say that
Springt....wait, no that is a kid’s game, can’t be added in this super serious game with no goofiness.
Yeah I’m drawing a blank here.

If we are talking from a genuinely unsettling horror atmosphere then I’d say Alien: Isolation and Outlast have a great soundtrack. Definitely amazing and unsettling.
DBD and F13 also have great soundtracks but I can’t view them as genuinely scary because I’ve played both games for thousands of hours (around 6000 hours between the two). The soundtracks are amazing though, just not from an unsettling horror aspect.
Also the O’Death theme from Until Dawn is continued in the Dark Pictures games Man of Medan and Little Hope. It’s guess it’s a theme that Supermassive Games just likes a lot, can’t say I blame them.
-
I don’t wanna talk about it
-
I like Spirit’s the best because it’s the most unique one. I love the way her katana materializes back into her hand. Hag would probably be my second favorite.
Deathslinger and Clown are the most satisfying because of their laughter.
-
Claudette is right alongside Nea, Meg, and Laurie in S tier. Claudette and Meg are basically in a tier of their own.
Swap Steve and Nancy and then you are right on the money.

Shadowborn. I was going for adept Wraith, and after the game the survivors claimed I was using op perks.
Shadownborn gives you 15° of speed and you drank your five hour energy so you had extra speed. Easily an OP perk.
I can’t play some killers without Shadowborn. It’s addictive.
-
I USED to be very good with Plague but then I stopped playing her and now I’m washed up 😭
She’s not consistent with her vomit due to the fact that sometimes you’ll hit a survivor and they won’t get sick. Her puke is wonky and travels slow (and after playing Deathslinger and having instant ADS and a fast travel time, playing Plague is painful) and her deviousness gain is terrible.
I still love her but she’s so inconsistent. Best advice is to spread the sickness and fast as you can and hope to snowball with her corrupt purge. Very similar playstyle to Oni and Myers. She can be great at slugging.
-
Wraith and Nurse seem the most likely to take mercy on survivors. Nurse even looks like she’s trying to say she’s sorry in a weird way but rubbing a survivor’s face after she moris them.
Spirit and Plague also seem like they’d be more likely than other killers to give someone mercy.
-
Freddy. My will to try is immediately drained and I want to go play killer. Huntress is the only other one that makes me feel that way.

Pyramid Head is literally a monster who uses the blade of scissors to attack his victims
Blight uses a cane
Spirit and Oni use Katanas
Freddy uses gardening glove claws
Hag uses her bare brittle strength, and her claws
Billy and bubba use a sledge/hammer
Trapper uses a machete
Wraith uses his bosses spine
Nurse uses a bone saw
Charlotte uses a sickle, Victor uses his fingies
Doctor uses a torture stick (I call it that, but it does have other names lol)
Plague uses a incense lamp
Pig uses a hidden blade
Deathslinger's side b is gun
Huntress uses an axe
While the only knife wielding killers are Ghostface, Michael, Legion, and clown
So yeah, not that many knife users
(Pig really doesn't count as hers kinda ejects from her sleeve)
EDIT: Really quickly gotta add context for anyone who doesn't look in detail to his Great Knife, Pyramid Head's great knife is the half blade of scissors. Thank James Sunderland and the birth creator of Pyramid Head Masahiro Ito for confirming this for us
You do know that machetes and katanas are a form of a knife right? Maybe not a katana as much but it’s a huge sword. Different forms of a bladed weapon. A knife isn’t just the basic kitchen knife or small knife.
My point is that I would prefer NOT to have many more knife killers and would want something unique. Not just weapon wise but aesthetic wise. I want something non human like Demogorgon. Just a preference.

I'll be honest, I in particular don't really want Springtrap in the game. While the subject matter is dark, I don't feel he fits the aesthetic of the game. But hey, you aren't being obnoxious about it, so I'm also gonna respect your opinion.
As for the perks, they seem cool. I really like the idea of Paranoia. It would be niche but also hella fun.
I’d rather see something new and unique like Springtrap added to the game than the 80th “man with knife” that we’ve seen countless times.
As long as the killer is unique, has a cool power, and is healthy for the game; I really couldn’t care less. Just as long as it’s not a rehashed slasher villain concept
cough Legion cough
-
Easily Friday the 13th. That game was a BLAST when it was first launched bugs and all. It had such a special charm to it and having late night matches with friends was one of the best times I’ve had while playing games 😁
-
The unexpected jump scares such as...
- Stepping in a Hag’s trap
- Mirror Myers
- Being on the absolute cusp of the heartbeat and getting grabbed off a gen by a Spirit because you didn’t hear the whooshing.
- Ghostface in general
- Those unexpected pallet stuns when you weren’t paying attention.
- Running into a Jeff with the face paint head piece and thinking he is Myers.
-
Freddy, Nurse, and Huntress are the two that immediately come to mind. The only two really add-on dependent killers are Trapper and Wraith.
People are saying Spirit, while I don’t think she is add-on dependent...she is MUCH better with add-ons. Her add-ons make her more hated to face than she already is. Spirit without add-ons can be a pain to play as against a good team with pressure on gens. A no add-on Spirit can’t have as much map pressure, chase potential, or pressure gens as well as she could with add-ons :/
I usually play Oni and Pig without add-ons and do fine.
