Nurse is frustrating but I’m not good with her. I won’t count Huntress or Nurse because I’m terrible. If I was good with them I’d have more fun.
I gotta say Legion is a snoozefest for me personally. I hate Legion. I have more fun with Clown than Legion and that is saying something.
-
I wouldn’t add Plague in there. Black Incense in extremely strong (probably the most powerful ultra-rare in the game) and Iridescent Seal is underrated.
-
Nurse can ignore all survivor’s defenses. Nurse doesn’t play DBD, she plays Nurse By Daylight.
Freddy still has to kick pallets and mindgame at pallets/vaults.
Freddy takes less skill and effort but if the player is good with Nurse than Nurse is easily better.
Freddy isn’t even close to the top killer anyways. Nurse, Spirit, Hag, Billy, Oni, and Huntress are better in my opinion.

Love playing as
- Spirit
- Plague
- Pig
Hate playing as
- Freddy
- Trapper
- Legion
Love playing against
- Oni
- Demogorgon
- Myers
Hate playing against

- Ghostface
- Legion

My teammates self caring with Sloppy Butcher. Why? What’s the point?

^ Also keep in mind that is uses Steam achievements (which have to be public). So generator grabs for example are only recorded since the Spirit DLC, when the achievement was added.
Generator grabs were not added on the Spirit patch. The achievement “Silent Approach” was added on the Ghostface patch.

Mindgaming is not easy but you are not doing much mindgaming at all as spirit. You are mostly reacting to the information survivors give you, like scratchmarks, grass, footsteps , grunts of pain, breathing and the actual mindgaming part is small.
That is all true but sometimes the Spirit is making a blind guess as well. She isn’t Terminator. She doesn’t always know your exact location.
She has scratch marks, injured noises, environmental queues (corn and grass), footsteps, and breathing but some of that can be negated but either Iron Will or broken sounds. I can usually only track breathing if it is a survivor with loud breathing like Meg or Feng.
I run Stridor on Spirit and sometimes I hear NOTHING. No injured moans, no footsteps, no grass shuffling (the little patches of grass on Lery’s make zero sounds as you walk over it). I’m not always going to phase right on top of them and know their exact location. I predicted them wrong and they lost me. The Spirit is not going to down you every single time even if she is great. Any little thing can throw off her tracking. Scratch marks going in the wrong direction has thrown me off multiple times.
Even as survivor (I run Iron Will) and I see the Spirit stop and start to phase I walk back in her direction or walk in a direction she wouldn’t expect and I hear her footsteps go right past me and she phased in the wrong direction because she had zero ques as to where I was so she was just guessing as to were I walked to.
There is zero “mindgames” with Spirit. It’s a guessing game, sometimes even for the Spirit when the survivors don’t give her any heads up as to where they are. That’s why it’s unsatisfying to play against a Spirit. You guessed wrong or gave her too many ques to your location.

That's true, for sure, but you KNOW (mobile FTW) what I mean.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1062464#Comment_1062464
I'll even go one step further and say none of them are probably the best killer/survivor content creators. There's hundreds of skilled players who are streamers sitting at 0-3 viewers, and YouTuber's who are amazing sitting at 1-2 views a month because they don't clickbait like almost everyone else.
Survivor is pretty basic compared to killer. You gotta know map layouts and how to conserve pallets. You can list a lot of good survivor players (No0b3, Zubat, Enaria Jendensie, etc...) and there is other good survivor players we don’t know of, but it’s more difficult that killer.
Streamers definitely have more leverage since they have a fanbase but a majority of them have already hit a skill cap when it comes to how skilled they are. They can’t get much better than they currently are. Some things are opinion based like “Umbra is the best Huntress” or “Ardetha is the best Nurse” or “SpaceCoconut is the best Hag” but someone is bound to be just as good as they are. Once a player hits a skill cap they’re all pretty much in the same league.
And it is also up to the survivors that the killer gets. Potato survivors can make one killer look like a million bucks but the next match they’ll struggle because they get competent survivors. The skill of the survivors have a big impact on whether the killer is skilled or not.
-
It would be be so fun to have a circus theme map where the entire map is a carnival or mirror maze. I hate that they made the map from Nurses’ template.
I also felt a bit cheated when they made Plague’s map the same template as Huntresses’. Just doesn’t fit. I was expecting an entire desert temple.

Again - them being content creators means nothing in terms of skill. For every content creator that streams DBD, or any game, there's someone out there who doesn't stream who is head and shoulders better than they are. Marth included. Marth and Zubat are just the best we know about. Again, I'm not saying any of them are bad (and I would put Ralph ahead of Zubat in terms of Huntress skill), they are just "nothing special" when compared to than any other red rank killer main. They are fun to watch, and that's why people hold them in such high regard.
I totally agree. I thought it was obvious that we were referring to players that we know of. Of course there is going to be players who are not streamers that are better than the players that are well known. Just the best players that we know of.
However this game does have a skill cap. Once you reach the cap you pretty much have already peaked, can’t get much better than that. There are better players for sure but I wouldn’t say they are “head and shoulders better” than players who are at a high skill cap.
-
If the survivor is skilled enough to survive then sure. Why not? Players have had streaks on 4K’s with killer. No difference.

I mean...Scott mostly plays one or two killers, but I can't really put him on a list that makes him any better than any other killer main. Not that maining killers is bad. He's a good killer, sure, but no better than any other killer, really.
As for Umbra, I mean, she's good and all...but like, I do think she's overhyped. She's a very cool person and everything, but having a following does tend to inflate peoples opinion of you and your skill.
Neither of them are even close to Marth or Zubat on a list of god tier killers, though. Not that they are bad, cause they aren't. Marth and Zubat are quite literally just...head and shoulders above the rest.
Scott mains Oni and used to be a very good Huntress main, definitely the first to popularize Huntress and be very skilled with her. I do think he’s slipped from “top Huntress” though. Umbra and Zubat take that crown. However in the past he’s played all killers extremely well (except Nurse) and proven he’s one of the better players in the game that play killer. His guides are very well put together and have helped me a lot.
I watch Umbra’s streams regularly and the way she plays is so smooth and perfect. It’s like she has the mechanics of the game down pat. I rarely see her struggle or lose and she doesn’t use add-ons on most of her killers and she can play them all pretty solidly. I am a fan of hers though so my opinion may be a bit based.
I do think Zubat is great though for all round killer players though. I haven’t seen as much from him. I’ve seen more of his survivor gameplay (which I believe he and No0b3 are two of the best survivor players). I guess I just believe Umbra is a better Huntress player.
Marth on the other hand I can’t speak on because I’ve never seen their content but I’ve heard nothing but great things about them.
-
Umbra is such a great and chill killer. Definitely the best female I’ve seen on DBD.
I know Jendensie is a pretty good survivor as well, I just don’t watch her.
-
@McLightning said:
If you watch some of the biggest streamers and think they are god tier survivors or killers in the last...you need to look closer.
I'll actually go through a few here...
ANGRYPUG - He's mildly above average. He has the most escapes in the game (which is actually true), but he also plays more than anyone else. It's a time based thing. If you watch him play, you'll see his spins are, for the most part, awful, and as a killer his main playstyle is tunnel/insidious camp. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not skill based in the least.
Vince - He's an average survivor and a below average killer who has amazing gimmicks and entertainment value (Officer Leathercock, anyone?).
Cahla - She might be the most wholesome DBD streamer you'll see who isn't StreamDad_, and as a killer, she's decent, but she gets tired of killer quick these days and switches to survivor, where she is slightly above average as a survivor.
Tofu - I mean, he can be good. He's like any of us. He has good games, he has bad games. He's unlike most of us in that he doesn't take it personally and throw his PC out the window when he loses. Though, he does seem like a survivor main who plays killer rather than a killer main. He has this "i won't use spirit fury because it's unfair for survivors" attitude. Mostly though, he performs as good if not slightly worse than your average killer. Great guy, though.
The only god tier survivors are really No0b3 and Zubat (and Edgar to an extent - he's an amazing looper. Still a shame what BHVR did to him). God tier killers are Marth, Zubat and...well, really thats it. Hexy is a great killer too but he uses tactics survivors don't approve of.
What I'm getting at here is that DBD isn't a hard game. You can be as good as them with a fraction of the time.
I would personally add Scott Jund and Umbra to the list of extremely good killer mains. They are excellent players.
-
I used to be a very good Spirit main, then Plague released and I stopped playing Spirit as much. Then sounds got bugged :/
Spirit isn’t braindead like players claim. She requires map awareness, tracking, and opening your ears and listening which some people are not good at doing. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve lost a Spirit in a chase because she made a wrong prediction. I’ve seen more bad Spirits than good ones. She’s still low risk high reward though.
In an individual chase you’re gonna lose quickly, you still win by pumping out gens but you’ll typically lose a chase quickly with little counterplay which is why survivors tend to hate Spirit. Nothing you can do except cross your fingers she’s bad or can’t hear you due to buggy sounds. She’s just boring to face when all the chases are predictable.
You are at the mercy of the Spirit. Most other killers rely on survivor’s mistakes. Spirit relies on her own ability to track.
If they’re mad then let them be mad. Let the salt flow.

I would say she's better then Oni and Plague by far. Well Oni is debatable just because he's like her and takes time for set up, but I say she outclasses Plague by a reasonable amount. Plague is entirely based on survivors knowledge of counters and looping. If they cleanse too early they have a high chance to fail while if they cleanse too late the same is also a thing.
Hag is currently bugged beyond belief and the Dev's refuse to acknowledge it going so far as to tell some Hag mains "that is how she has always been" when in fact she has not.
Glad to see your playing Pig though. Like I said though her real power is the versatility she actually has. While inherently not as powerful as some of the killers you listed she can do a significant amount of things many others can't. Her power lies in the versatility not in raw output of damage.
Plague is not a RNG based killer. Nothing she does is luck based or random. Pig’s entire power is totally RNG based. Survivors can either get the trap off on the first box or have the party hat last a while.
Plague is just more effective and her power is much better than Pig will ever be. I don’t have an issue if survivors don’t cleanse. So what if they don’t? You play NOED simulator with them being even easier to find. Yesterday I played with Iridescent Seal and it can actually be a good add-on. Makes them cleanse and I constantly get to use my power.
I could never put Pig over Forever Plague with Black Incense.
Oni on the other hand snowballs easily and after see Scott Jund play Oni for about two months, it’s easy to tell that Oni is a top tier killer.
I don’t see how Hag is bugged. I played her the other day and she was fine.
I do think Pig is slightly underrated but her power is totally RNG dependent.

That's it. That's the sad truth these days.
We will continue to go against game-obsessed comedians who have a "VICTORY ROYALE!" wallpaper on their PS4 profile.
I enjoy playing survivor, but playing killer is just crap these days (with the exception of Doctor, who is fun to play as or against for that matter).
Oh well.
I don’t struggle too much against most survivors unless I get a bad map or bad RNG.
It can be brutal to learn a new killer though. I tried Nurse today and I got two survivors with No Mither who had Boil Over and sabotaged all my hooks. I also play on PS4 so Nurse is not forgiving if you suck with blinks, which I do. Not a very pleasant feeling to see them butt dance at the exit gates because they think they’re amazing that they did something special by beating someone new to Nurse :/
I also played Oni and got my cheeks clapped but he’s a bit more forgiving though.
You win some, you lose some. It’s a game. Doesn’t affect me personally. Can be annoying but I’ll forget about it the next day.

I personally think Pig should be the bottom of A tier. She's not exceptionally powerful, but she's a jack of all trades master of none. She does incredible work of you put the time into learning basics and my experience has definitely proved she is highly underused and underrated for what she can do. Being versatile has it's advantages and disadvantages.
I’ve been using Pig frequently and I typically win most of my games with her. Once you start trapping survivors the game slows down in your favor immensely.
Even saying all that, I can’t put her in A tier. You have Freddy, Huntress, Oni, Hag, Billy, and Plague all in A tier. Pig is nowhere near as powerful as those killers.
B tier maybe but not A tier.
-
Business as usual
-
No. It’s a waste of a perk slot and there are better healing perks. Good survivors do not care if they are injured through most of the trial.
-
*Starts a chase with Invisadette in the corn*
”What do you mean?! Where is she?!”
I can deal with corn but I can be terribly corn blind especially when survivors start to spin. Sensitivity on console is low even at 100%.
Corn isn’t that big of an issue unless you’re on Rotten Fields where 90% of the map is corn. I like Rancid Abattoir the most because there is very little corn and the map is small.
-
My personal tier list. I think Freddy is strong but in way is he S tier.

The old Legion (just basekit Legion) could at a maximum hit 2 times the same survivor with dw, before frenzy was over.
3 times if you had a really potato for you (or the surv was afk). Something that not so often happens as some assume.
Every number above that is not realistic and is either exaggeration, or it had happen from a Legion with addons.
The Legion was changed a lot, but with the rework, bhvr had made Legions frenzy duration and basemovement speed longer.
While frenzy is a toothless abilitie - since it didn't kill anyone and has a ton of restricitions - the pure fact that it is longer as the old frenzy, helps the Legion a lot, if we forget the fun and just thinking on success.
You see it also on the official killrate stats. The pre patch Legion was the second worst killer. Only the Clown was worse, if I remember me correctly.
The Legion today has the.... what was it? 7, or 6 best killrate (so Legion is upper average if we just talk about stats).
Of course, you can voice your opinion, to everything, but if you do, you should stay on the facts.
I remember how I saw 1 vid, of a streamer and he said "Legion is boring to play", while he was using Legion + franks mixtape and there I need to say... That whas his own fault.
Yes the Legion was boring to play with franks mixtape - I don't doubt it for a second - but when the Legion is boring to play with mixtape... What can I do as a intelligent being with a brain attached?
Right! I could simply not use franks mixtape and voila! - not so boring anymore.
What this streamer has made, like some others, whas crying and exaggerate, for the sake of more viewers and I don't and will not respect streamers who have done that.
If they would have had a serious opinion they would have talk about the Legion's basekit, the addons and the perks, but no, no, no... that was not to be expected from them.
Just playing with either op addons, or exploits and then crying about that they are op *suprised pickachu face* - how the people today would describe it.
Edit: I hope I don't upset you with this discussion. I usually like to read your comments and often have the same opinion like you... But we are humans and so we can't have everytime the same opinion^^.
I’m not upset at all. It is totally fine to have different opinions. Otherwise why need the forums?
Some streamers do think emotionally instead of factually. I definitely say Scott Jund made a pretty good video on why old Legion was poorly designed.

Look... If something happens like dcing imo, the topic shifts away from XYZ is unbalanced (as example) to this very toxic behavior.
If you ignore this - no matter which reason you have for it - you give a small percentage of toxic people the possibility to spread their vein.
And if you do it, it will not stop anymore. Then more and more people start doing it and more and more people coming up with "excuses" for it.
That is the very reason why you have to hit this guys in the beginning and you have to hit them hard.
If you don't do it, for whatever reason, a situation will develop as we have it today.
And today we have in dbd a huge amount of people that think, that their toxic behavior is ok. Just because its their nature, or they justify it with some crude viewpoints.
Bhvr has make the mistake to not act in the moment were it would have been possible, but that doesn't mean that I have to change my viewpoint about it.
If 99% of the playerbase would be toxic because of some unbalanced thing, I would not care, just to make things not even worse as they are in the moment. Instead I would listen to the 1% who is able to write threads in a forum and so on.
If you act differently, you will always have to struggle with what has dbd to struggle today and the situation today hurts dbd more as every unbalanced thing before, imo.
Btw. were Franks Mixtape and the exploits the op things, that I have not use (like other addons).
A Legion without those things had much counterplay as some tutorial videos have shown on YouTube. Why did you think, have all those whiny streamers that have complain about the Legion, always shown the Legion with those op things?
The answer is: Otherwise they would have not been able to show a op Legion.
The basekit of the Legion today is stronger as the basekit of the Legion back then. It makes less fun imo, but that doesn't change the fact that the Legion today has a stronger basekit.
I’m not condoning players DC’ing, but all this toxic behavior you speak of has always been in the game. Players have always DC’ed and BM’ed their opponent whether it be the survivor or killer. It’s just that DC’s went through the roof when Legion was dropped. It was a dark period in DBD.
We aren’t going to agree but look at it this way. Legion could stab at the air five times like an idiot and still continue to do so until it eventually hit the survivor. It took zero skill to use Legion. You couldn’t use vaults or pallets on them, they would just vault and down you with no counterplay other than as I said...hope they are bad. It’s fine if you don’t agree but that’s my stance on old Legion.
And just because streamers made complains about a killers doesn’t make them whiney. Players have the right to voice their opinion. If players never voiced their opinion we would still have five blink Nurse, Prayer Beads, vacuum pallets, old BNP, etc...if a majority of the playerbase didn’t like old Legion, why did that make them “whiney”?
Old Legion could activate their power without it being fully recharged (I believe, correct me if I am wrong), had a shorter fatigue, could stab the air and have MULTIPLE chances to hit survivors like a madman with no cooldown MULTIPLE times, a faster vault animation, and could down survivors while in Feral Frenzy. How is current Legion’s basekit better than old Legion?

-I have write my last posting not as a Legion main - what I am - more as an former admin of some community portals, with forums, chats and so on.
-The Legion had counterplay, as long we speak about the Legion. If we talk about the Legion with certain and I bet often used addons, then not. I know this, because I had play the Legion without addons, like I do it today also.
-I don't give toxic behavior any recognition. If someone dislikes aspects of the game, he can write in the forums, or let a bad review on the steam dbd page.
However, what you are should not do in my eyes, is exploiting, cheating, harassing other players and dcing. If one starts to do it, I am not interessted anymore in what he is thinking and I either stop doing what I am doing, or I do the one thing that will possible upset him the most.
If dbd really likes to get rid of dcing, the whole community needs imo stop to find "reasons" for toxic behavior. Especially since the devs were to weak, to ban everyone to a time where the situation whas controllable.
Using the “moonwalk exploit” and Frank’s Mix Tape had literally zero counterplay except hope the Legion was terrible and missed all 28 of their swings. Even base Legion had very little to no counterplay. I don’t see how old Legion had ANY counterplay other than cross your fingers the Legion was bad.
Don’t get me wrong. Legion wasn’t a good killer, but it wasn’t an enjoyable experience to have nothing to counterplay the Legion with. You felt cheated. Darn. What could I have done better? Nothing.
Again. Having a large portion of the playerbase DC against something is a very telling sign that something needs to be changed.
Players are never going to play against something they don’t like. Making DC’s bannable won’t do anything. People will either AFK or suicide on hook. You’ll never force people to play against something they don’t want to.
I do agree on the harassment and exploits though. It’s uncalled for and needs no recognition.

I would say, that would have been also the perfect time to end it.
Would bhvr in this time have punish everyone who is doing it with bans, not nearly as much would do it today.
That is at least my experience as admin in other communitys.
If you see something like this rising up, you need to deal with it fast and ruthless, or it goes out of control.
Instead, some devs still use dcing as an argument for the Legion rework, even today (and encouraging with it those dcing guys imo).
I don't feel there any pity for bhvr. It was in my eyes, there own fault, that this situation has develop as she had. The only sad part of it is, that the playerbase has to suffer under it.
I know so many players DC’ed against old Legion. When a good majority of the playerbase DC’s against something, it’s a good indication that something isn’t balanced. I hate using the term “it’s not fun or fair” but that was Legion in a nutshell. Nothing you could do in a change would change the fact that you were going to go down and you didn’t have to opportunity to counterplay it at all. At least with killers like Spirit, you have the opportunity for SOME kind of counterplay even if normally you’d die within 30 seconds.
When you get a 4 man DC and can’t have a proper game without survivors leaving it’s doesn’t just make them “entitled and whiney”. Something is seriously wrong. No other killer got as many DC’s as old Legion. The devs had to do something.
I don’t agree with the changes they made to Legion. I don’t agree with the entire design of Legion, but what’s done is done. They can still change Legion 🤷🏼♂️

You must mean PC. Still trash tier on consoles.
No. I play on PS4. I’ve gone against good Nurse players who know exactly where to blink and are great at predictions. It’s not only PC that Nurse is capable of doing good on.
Nurse when play at her absolute best is the best killer regardless of platform.
She just not easy to learn on console. Sensitivity, FPS drops, and having a controller makes her automatically harder...same as Huntress and honesty any killer. They are all handicapped because it’s not as easy as it would be on mouse and keyboard.
She’s never been trash on any platform.
-
That’s the LEAST controversial thing on Coldwind maps. The tile RNG is horrendous. You can have a jungle gym connected to cow tree connected to a cart loop connected to a long wall connected to shack. Then you have the good window open on Rancid Abattoir/Torment Creek or the barn. Half the map is strong connected loops
The tractor loop isn’t even close to being a problem on Coldwind maps.
-
Stealth is still viable. Avoiding the killer, predicting their movement, and knowing when to hide and when to run takes game knowledge and skill. Using perks like Iron Will, Dance With Me, Quick and Quiet, etc...are great for throwing off the killer because good killers rely on sounds just as much they do their eyes. If you waste the killers time by having them check your area and effectively avoiding them can win the game for survivors since killers are on a time crunch.
Hiding in a bush or corner and crossing your fingers that the killer is blind isn’t stealth.
Stealth is still an extremely viable option for survivors.

Well, i played against some god huntress players recently that make even zubat look like an absolut beginner.. so i might be biased.. but the only reason i dont see huntress even higher on that list is that she is on some maps really not that great.
Hag is definitly a strong killer, with the right addons extremly powerful, but she is also not that great if she is up against a coordinated team (in relation to other Killers)
Hm, some say, Freddy is even top 3. While i dont agree, i understand their point.
Plague is a one-trick pony. Cleanse and you probably loose, dont cleanse and you probably win. Its always the same...
Yep, opinons my friend :)
Personally I think Umbra is the best Huntress I’ve seen, but I play on console and good Huntresses are few and far between and I only watch certain streamers. As you said she is extremely map dependent. On Autohaven maps I would argue that she might be the third best killer, even better than Billy or Hag...but she is just too map dependent so overall on other maps, Hag and Billy will do better.
Hag with Mint Rag/MYC combo is so deadly. I hate going against it, but thankfully I very rarely run into it. I actually like facing Hag unlike most players.
I think that Freddy is really good but players think he is third best? Nah. He has no way to end chases quickly like Nurse, Spirit, Hag, or Billy. He has to either spam traps (which I hate) or trick them by fake pallets which doesn’t work all the time and isn’t as good as traps. I personally think Freddy is very boring so I avoid him :/

I never said they killed her, but she isn't in a good spot. Most of her addons are complete trash and give her useless benefits (making Survivors scream when you blink past them, disabling your power for a speed boost, etc.)
I think they tried to make her more versatile and change her playstyle similar to Myers. You have wall-hack Myers, Tombstone Myers, perma-T3 Myers...ya know, variety. I think her add-ons are a cool concept but don’t help her that much. Like most killers, her ultra rare add-ons are not great.
I play on console so I’m absolutely terrible with Nurse, but I still see people play her perfectly. I can definitely see how she isn’t as fun as she used to be though.

Sure Nurse is powerful, but she isn't fun. You have to choose wheither or not to save your blinks for map pressure or for chasing. She used to be able to do both but now she can't
Oh you mean Omega Blink where ANYBODY could play Nurse and win? I’m the worst Nurse ever and I ran that build and won. (I’m not taking a dig at you, I’m just sarcastic by nature XD).
Nurse still has the same amount of map pressure that she did previously. Her blinks don’t take that long to recharge. It’s not like Spirit’s phase where you have to wait for it to recharge. Spirit can’t have map control and chase potential, Nurse can. With recharge add-ons both of her blinks are recharged after fatigue.
I don’t agree with the Nurse changes, I think it wasn’t needed...but people act like they completely gutted Nurse when she’s still nearly the same as she was before. It wasn’t the worst they could’ve done

It’s just RNG. Some maps you have close hook spawns then you have swamp where there is like one or two hooks in the middle and all the rest are on the outer edge.

Problems with nurses they usually get genrushed.
Making a bad blink with her is way too punishing.
Any killer can be gen-rushed. Gens aren’t gonna fly by any faster than they would with Nurse than they would with Trapper.
I can play perfectly with Spirit but if a survivor has a strong enough map, three gens could pop when I’m done with my first chase. Not that I did anything wrong, gens just go by pretty quickly.
Making a bad blink is punishing. So is making a wrong prediction post-phase. So is missing your last hatchet with Huntress and having to abandon chase to reload. So is all survivors hiding during Oni’s Blood Fury. So is Myers not getting any use out of Tier 3. Killers making bad plays are going to be quite punishing.

True. He can be annoying. Any killer can be. Any survivor can be. What in this game isn’t?
I don’t particularly like having to play scummy and slug because in my first chase three generators popped. I guess I should’ve “applied pressure better” on a map the size of Saturn and I’m playing a low map pressure killer.
Just because you don’t like something means it’s not beatable. I don’t like Freddy. I don’t like Ghostface. I think Spirit is boring to go against. I’m not going make threads about it though. All you can do is move on to the next match.
Go play Doctor and see how “annoying” good survivors are gonna think you are. They aren’t gonna care.
-
Let’s say hypothetically a player can play any killer to their fullest potential and is the best at every killer. It’s Nurse.
Even in her state at the moment she can apply pressure to the map (with recharge add-ons) and end chases super quickly. I’ve seen Umbra and Zubat still destroy teams with Nurse, she’s still extremely good in my opinion. She’s just not overly powerful above the rest. She is on a more equal level compared to the other killers.
Spirit is also still extremely good but sounds are holding her back to her fullest potential.

First thing that needs to be addressed is map changes and having certain tiles not able to spawn next to each other. You shouldn’t have a jungle gym connected to cow tree connected to a cart loop connected to a long wall connected to shack.
If maps are shrunken in size and tile RNG is taken care of THEN we can talk about killer/survivor balance changes.
Even then I don’t see any killer who is too overbearing to need any sort of nerf to their base-kit.
-
I had to message the group and ask them to help me get it. They were happy to help and I put on BPS and we farmed.
Unless you get lucky or are really good at Nurse I don’t really see another way.

Killers lose and then get told they just weren't pressuring gens. Then they pressure gens by slugging and the survivors complain about slugging. Slugging is the only real way the killer has even a chance of applying the appropriate pressure to slow the gens down. It's a lose/lose scenario.
Killers don't want to slug but the devs force it with so many badly balanced maps.
As a survivor I don't mind being slugged. I don't get why people hate slugging, there's no difference between you sitting on a hook and laying o the ground. At least laying on the ground you have something to do (crawling and recovering) and you may even get picked up without costing you a hook at all! The hate for slugging is irrational.
Not to mention the multiple perks available to counter slugging anyway.
Stop making sense Blueberry. Don’t you know that slugging is only for bad killers and that it’s not fun for survivors and that DS is the only perk to counter slugging and it makes you an ugly killer (I swear somebody legit messaged me that).
I still believe all maps should be the size of Coal Tower/Rancid Abattoir and at LEAST no bigger than Groaning Storehouse, so between 132-156 square tiles.

I never played many multiplayer games before DBD/F13, I always stuck with single player.
Only time I’d get frustrated is when I was going for an extremely hard trophy like surviving the ENTIRE game on Alien Isolation without dying. It’s scary at first but then if you get a long way without a checkpoint and you die it’s annoying as hell. The ship is like maze as well so I had to watch walkthroughs on how to complete a level. Still never completed the game yet :(
No other game triggers me as much as DBD. It’s not even the players that annoy me, it’s the fact that the game can be broken. Ya know what I mean. Ghost hits. Getting hit when you medium vault. Sound occlusion. Sound bugs. Myers and GF stalking being bugged. “Hook techs”. Getting hit through pallets. Dedicated servers, etc...

The thing about it is...slugging only works if the survivors screw up. Survivors who complain about slugging are basically saying “I got caught out of position and I’m angry you took advantage of it.”
Most of the time killers HAVE to slug because they simply don’t have enough time to hook all survivors 3 times each. A slug can’t do a generator and it forces the other survivors to come and pick them up especially if another survivor is on a hook.
I will admit that slugging can be boring, but it is effective.
The only time I understand why survivors complain about slugging is when the killer is Billy or Nurse with Infectious Fright and ALL the killer does is slug and not start hooking until all four survivors are on the ground. It’s pretty boring and unnecessary. Other than that, slugging is fair game 🤷🏼♂️
I agree with basically all you said

Any killer can be a “noob-stomper” below Rank 10. If the killer isn’t that great but neither are the survivors I gotta say Plague. All other higher-tier killers (Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Hag, Huntress, Oni) take some kind of skill to use and killers who aren’t experienced aren’t going to do as well. With Plague all you have to do is vomit and they’ll probably cleanse and go down quickly.
In red ranks I’d say Nurse if you’re good with her. She’s still simple to 4K with if you can properly play her.
-
The DC epidemic started when old Legion was released because NOBODY wanted to face Legion, which I understand why. I gotta say Old Legion got the most overall DC’s.
Prayer Beads Spirit used to get a lot of DC’s (Spirit in general gets a lot of DC’s). Killers who slug a lot (especially Nurse and Billy). Basement Bubba, etc....
Oddly enough, I rarely get survivors who DC on the rare occasion I bring a mori. They rarely quit during the loading screen nor suicide on hook.

Exactly. I do not actually respect slugging when it is used unneccessarily, with a build and from the beginning of the game. Just killers who like self-aggrandizement and being toxic usually bring it. In other scenarios surelly it is OK to slug, tunnel or camp. I also DC in this condition. I hate being on the ground and doing nothing. So I DC. Neither me nor the killer will get that much BP.
I understand why killers slug and it is perfectly fine to slug...sometimes you have to to win.
But when you are Billy or Nurse with Infectious Fright and you have five gens up and you’re slugging all survivors and 2 of them bleed out, it is just unnecessary. What’s the point? Nobody is going to get that many bloodpoints and the match is boring for both sides.
Thankfully I rarely run into this. I vividly remember a really good Nurse and a Billy bringing BPS and slugged us all with Infectious Fright. Weirdly enough both maps were Yamaoka. I just don’t get the point of killing the entire team in three minutes by slugging (when not needed) with BPS.

Jokes on you, Nea is the Entity. 😎
This isn’t even my final form.

It’s extremely frustrating to go second state on the hook when solo but I won’t let go unless it’s justified.
If my team is actually doing gens and being a productive team then I’m obviously gonna keep struggling (if they were truly productive I wouldn’t have gone second state).
If they are a bunch of bush hiding crouching Blendettes who aren’t being chased by the killer, aren’t doing gens, AND I’m not getting camped...it seems to me that the game isn’t worth staying in. Who really wants to stay in a game of players who aren’t going anything to progress the game?

We're looking at you Meg. That poor girl does deserve better.
I don’t mind her outfits but some of her head pieces are terrible. The blonde/red short swoop head pieces are THE worst. The cornrows are bad as well.
I usually stick with the long red hair though. That’s her best.
