Its not what we asked for in terms of a rework but I wouldn't say its bad. Its hard to say this early in its testing.

but Killers only tunnelled because they had to counter dead hard… that was nerfed ages ago so tunnelling shouldn’t be happening now.
Except it is because it’s the easiest way to play the game and there is a subset of killers out there who can’t be bothered to try. They’ll come up with any excuse to justify it as we have seen with the above scenario.
If you are already nearby - its just easier and logical.

Yeah, Freddy was ranked #3 for killrate with Pinhead. #1 was Skull Merchant and #2 was Onryo. This was in the 'Deadliest Killer (All MMR stats they released a while ago).
Obviously the stats might have changed over time, but Freddy is by far not the worst killer. I actually didn’t find Freddy that bad when I played as him and got his adept (got it the second try). He has good mobility with the teleporting and the dream snares are far superior to dream pallets.
I like that Freddy is getting more changes to survivors needing to constantly stay awake or they will be punished. It gives him something new to his kit and makes the interactions with him a lot better, but Freddy was never the worst killer, lol.
I agree completely.

That's quite literally just false.

I could say the same thing to survivors who "go next"
Literally. The match is over when a survivor just goes next. There is no coming back from that at 4 or 5 gens.

I would wish the Developers make it so you can't see Freddy at all unless you fall asleepUnless I'm missing something, this seems way overboard. Can't be seen at all? Awake survivors can't really do anything at all.
I'd make the alarm clocks only to be used if you're not in the terror radius of the Freddy.Seems unnecessary. Stopping to use something is risky to do with a killer nearby. Also removes risk taking and decision making on the survivor part lowering the ability to actually engage in counterplay.
I would also keep the teleportation as it is, as that involves some skill with either faking it or committing to it, keeping that mind game elementI love faking teleports, using a generator in front of a chased survivor and making them guess which way I'm from. I hope they revert this change.
and if you can fail a skill check you're out of the dream world therefore no information, this will only be suitable for lower skilled lobbies when people don't know of the counterplay, but more experienced players will be always evading the Dream WorldHere's the thing about giving survivors secondary objectives: you can't have them and then expect to still have the advantage if they actually successfully engage in those objectives. Failing skill checks are costly and give their own notifications.
This is like when Self Care was meta in 2017 and all survivors did was being healing themselves and fail skill checks to stop Freddy to being able to attack them again. If an asleep survivor engages in healing, hoping to just fail the skill check to wake up, they risk the Freddy teleporting to them totally destroying the heal (and potentially a quick down). Seems very different.
Unless I'm missing something, this seems way overboard. Can't be seen at all? Awake survivors can't really do anything at all.
Why would you need to? He cant attack you unless you are in the dream world.

I have been playing a lot of Marvel Rivals. If BHVR stayed true to killer designs they initially create and then added to that instead of scraping stuff in which causes confusion to the community, I will stick around more respectfully. Dont get me wrong, I love DBD and I love that we can play our favorite licensed killers in a video game because its the only game in the WORLD you can really do that, but what is the point when our favorite killers (licensed) at that just get scrapped and recycled with different powers.
Not to compare them for this by any means, but that is why I love Marvel Rivals so much is because they are staying true to their lore and character design. Will it stop me from playing this? No, but feedback is important and I want to give as well as be heard. <3
-
Yay for making Freddy stronger? However, another rework that went into the wrong direction. It’s disappointing truly. Sadako, Freddy, Skull Merchant, Trickster, twins all suffer the same fate.
-
I dont think he it needs anything truthfully. I think bhvr needs to allow for powerful perks on both sides. That's what makes the game fun. When more than half the perks suck or are useless which currently is the issue, than that is a problem.
-
I hope twins does get reworked again. It wasnt a good rework at all. The Devs have A LOT of work to do when it comes to the killer roster.

Oh, not in the sence of playing against them, that would be a cake walk if Victor could only injure.
I meant in the sense of their power, Legion would do everything better than the Twins if Victor could only injure (Legion has better tracking to injure more survivors, can vault pallets and windows faster, pretty much a guaranteed hit, unlike with Victor, whom is pretty inconsistent at all of those), yes it would fix the slugging issue, but it would make The Twins pretty much obsolete and really unfun to play as.
Once Victor is attached, you're just a basic m1 Killer without a chase ability, the only thing you could theorethically do with your version of the Twins is to use Victor for blocking doorways for injured Survivors to maybe down them, which isn't that thrilling of a gameplay choice tbh.
That's fair. I know this isn't a popular opinion for people but I would mind Victor being Ai. Moving on his own throughout the trial.

Every time a new killer gets released she drops a tier. Otz for example puts her in mid tier nowadays, and Tru3 Talent says she is one of the weakest killers in the game, which I agree.
She has no map pressure, is a 110% killer, with a giant lullaby that always tells where she is. The only thing she has going for her is a goodish chase, which does not compensate by her abysmal map presence. Before, she could kinda compensate with strong gen defence, but since gen defence is now weaker than ever, she has no chance of viability.
Shes a chase killer. She was even buffed last year which nobody asked for. I am gonna disagree with you…That's just me.

so, why should i play Twins instead of Legion in your example?
I suggested to make it so victor only injures. It would make slugging less annoying. Victor can still hold onto a survivor - They cant work on a gen or heal in this state. Increase the recall time so you can have him more often.

Hi!
On older hardware (e.g. PS4), my friend is experiencing longer and longer loading times as she accumulates more inventory. Before, she has occasionally experienced crashing when loading the game (as the loading inventory part took too long and PS4 detects a crash). This week, she finally got to the point where DBD no longer launches on her PS4 (she is given the blue screen PS4 error page). This could easily be resolved if there was a way to manage inventory, which players have asked to have for years.
Please please add a way to remove inventory items we don't need. We don't need anything back; even if you must give BP, give 1-10 BP per discarded item, something like that so it won't be abused. The game takes longer to load as we accumulate more inventory, and for those on not as powerful consoles (PS4, Switch, etc.), it is necessary after so many years of the game being live. She effectively cannot play on her account now unless she either buys a newer console or PC, and this is not something within her means right now.
Please update us on this if DBD has any plans for this. Almost every game has a way to delete inventory items except for DBD.
Its a ps4. Those are like 14 years old. The hardware is just not going to be able to keep up much longer truthfully to be honest.

I love David. He is probably my second favourite survivor. But gosh, his chapter stinks. Huntress is a very weak killer compared to today's standards and her perks are the worst in the game.
Not to mention that Mother's Dwelling was such a big map that needed to be reworked, and it is still very big.
Also, Dead Hard has been one of the most problematic perks in the game, so there is that.
Huntress by far is not a weak killer. I don't think there is anyone in this community that thinks she is a weak killer. Obviously other than you xD

I think that should be okay:
You can't down the camped one instantly again, and after the 10 seconds you could have done that with current twins too. That would basically only make it harder for survivors to unhook, that's good after the grab-removal that makes hookdefending super weird.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3865730#Comment_3865730
That would be pretty good, I feel like it's often not worth it to use victor on a healthy person because of this.
I agree - I dont mind using victor on a healthy person because it keeps people injured plus the addon where they are broken for 20 seconds afterwards is so good. Not to mention they can't work on a gen with victor on their back. I like to use the addon as well where it takes 2 seconds longer to get him off your back lol

The nightmare
BUFF- teleport to completed gens
BUFF- paint thinner basekit allows the nightmare to switch from pallets to snares like clown with his bottle
BUFF- placing nares will slow you down to 4.4 m/s instead of 4.0
BUFF- reduce teleport time to 30 seconds instead of being 45
BUFF- basekit cat block
BUFF- Generator explosions and missed skill checks no longer wake up the survivor
These are some changes that I would bank on. some changes I don’t expect but would be cool would be adding a way to make survivors fall asleep manually like how it was.
BUFF- Fire up from 4% per token to 6%
BUFF- Remember me will be changed to work like no way out and no longer have the obsession as a mechanicBUFF- Wake up will work like empathic connection and show the person who has it.
idk what they will do to vigil.
Deep wound changes- Screen no longer darkens as deep wound goes onThis sounds about right to me. I hope they give him his flare back. He needs to be scary again.

This demonstrates a staggering level of not understanding the game's fundamentals.
Grouping up on gens, especially early like you're complaining about, is the worst thing for survivors to do. They're grouped up, so the killer coming by will interrupt both/all of them at the same time, and there's no map pressure on gens. That one gen gets hit with pain res and pop and all that progress is gone.
They're also taking a repair penalty for no reason, so two survivors complete a single gen together in about 53 seconds, at 1.7 charges per second.
If they split up, they get 2 charges per second. So in those same 53 seconds they've completed more gen progress (53 seconds on 2 separate gens is 106 charges, instead of only 90 grouped up). And the killer can only interrupt one at a time. So the killer showing up means one gen is so getting finished instead of stopping all progress.
Grouping up is doing the gens slower.
I'll say it again: you aren't getting "gen rushed" by survivors who aren't bringing perks or toolboxes for it. Doing gens is not the same as gen rushing. And you apparently have no idea what it means to even do gens efficiently.
I know the breakdown and how exactly gens work in regard to efficiency. However, again I disagree with you completely, because time and time again. That's all survivors do is group up on gens and guess what? They pop it in those 53 seconds, IF they don't have perks and toolboxes to go with it.
There could be 2 survivors taking the chases while the other two are just tag teaming gens together, rinse and repeat when I chase those survivors off the gen. I have had several…many actually where games end in 5 minutes WITHOUT toolboxes and gen perks because survivors are just hoeing up on gens.

They would become just a worse Legion if that was the case tho
You think so? It's not a deep would affect though. Just an injury. At least it wouldnt be a mend simulator and I think it beats being slugged in my humble opinion.
-
What if they just made it so Victor couldn’t down you but only injury you? I think that would help the slugging issues.
I think Twain is fun to play as but the cooldown for Victor is way too long in my opinion.@Pulsar had mentioned in the ptb - after 2 years bhvr saying they would rework twins but merely what happened was a disappointing numbers change.

His main event is situational and not as good as it use to be. Hes also slowed down significantly.
May I remind you huntress can do the same thing but better? -

Before reading this, THIS IS NOT JUST "We should remove all of the hooks from maps", just me asking why
Why is it that there are so many hooks on maps now? I don't think that the number has necessarily gone up just there density and proximity to one another. So why do we need to have so many?
I think if I am not mistaken there is an average of 12 hooks per map. No offerings of course.

If people are "tag teaming" a gen, as you say, with 0 toolboxes or perks they're simply doing gens inefficiently and should be splitting up. After all, they're taking a -15% (or more) speed penalty just for grouping up for no reason. That's the opposite of "rushing".
While the definition of "gen rushing" is not very well defined in general, you have to draw a line somewhere. And a team with no toolboxes or gen speed perks is simply "doing gens" at the start of the match. The horror.
The gen is done in 60 seconds vs doing it alone for 90…

This is either the most trolling comment ever. Or you have completely lost your mind and are about to have a stroke too. Seriously if you truthfully think it takes skill to hit 8 knives out of the 50-60 you posses without reloading you must be indeed going crazy
Tell me you don't play trickster without telling me you don't play trickster. He starts with 44 basekit I believe. What does all those knvies even mean if you can't hit your mark? You still have to hit them 8 times, if there isn't a bunch of crap in the way, not to mention teammates taking hits, not to mention he throws a lot slower than he use to. Seriously.

You aren't getting gen rushed by base kit survivors. That isn't even possible unless you're literally afk.
Tunneling, camping, and slugging are base kit for killers.
I don’t know how true this is. In my experience I have….not often but enough been gen rushed by survivors with 0 gen perk because they’re tag teaming.

Deadlock isn't basekit because Killers already kill enough. Survivors shouldn't be able to get up after being cut down with a chainsaw, yet here we are, so much for immersion.

I did see that you typed that that moris are like teabagging at gate; you said the feeling from being moried is the same as when people get teabagged at the gate. But teabagging at the gate is taunting and/or gloating. And taunting and gloating don't have a place in games. That's why I asked if that's what you meant :)
To clarify - and I see where you had the confusion, my apologies. In my humble opinion I feel like Mori's are just fine. Its only a mechanic. Its not a means to gloat, and it doesn't have the same meaning as a Teabag. If you are going out of your way to teabag killers at the exit gate then that isn't cool. Its toxic. Its the same for killer that walk back and forth on a survivor when they are slugged. That is not cool. However - a killer deciding to just mori you, is fine. A simple mori.

Did you just say it's fine for people to taunt their opponent when they win a game? I imagine that's not what you meant?
People choosing to taunt or show off when they win a game is very much not fine in any environment and is extremely unsportsmanlike.
Did you see me type that or are you just putting words in peoples mouths/making assumptions to fit your appeal?
Mori is an ingame mechanic. By itself, it’s not toxic. Slugging isn’t toxic. Proxy camping isn’t toxic.
A simple mori isn’t “showing” off anything. Whether you die on a hook or by the killer makes no difference. The killer is completing their objective. If they wanna see a little reward animation for it, so be it. 🤷🏼♂️

Yes, thats correct. Until a counter is put in place, use Lightborne. Do I think we should have to do that? No.
However, you can't complain there is no way around it presently when there is.
