I'm not really having an issue with people holding down W, however, I will say I am having a major issue with Generators being completed WAY too fast. Its quite boring to deal with every match.

Bringing exhaustion/second chance perks isn't an issue? Or is it? In the meta of tunnel tunnel tunnel, second chance perks are now the issue? Genuinely asking, as this has been said a few times and Im just… baffled.
Is there exhaustion perks that are more problematic than others? Is my dead hard toxic?! :(
I've learned to see other views, and your view isn't wrong at all. I am just trying to understand the mindset better. Exhaustion perks are brought to counter things like tunnel, slug, any in general, facing a better player. I think this is accurate. Thoughts?
You are right! They are meant to give you some space and distance from the killer. Its the only way to really defend yourself. Its a great mechanic. I just have to make adjustments and counters.

yeah a survivor probably gains a couple inches of distance with a 3 second cooldown.
You gain more than a few inches especially with him being 4.4.
-
I am fine with the rework. She is not that fun to play as or against so they should make adjustments.

Don’t get me wrong I love playing as Henry and all that but it genuinely feels wrong with how I’m able to spam my M2 as I don’t think there’s any punishment for missing. I don’t want him to get nerfed too hard but he needs to be down toned down a bit. His underground attack is fine though but yeah this is just WILD.
There is punishment for missing. You get slowed down, you lose distance, the survivor gains distance. Seems like a fair punishment to me.
-
Blood Warden does not need a nerf. If anything it could be buffed.

Both cases are severely rare. Not impossible, but not at all common place. Also, that is not why killers tunnel so much. They tunnel because it is free. Its merely… free.
It’s not rare. Most of my games survivors bring so many second chance perks. I certain games I tunnel bc I know my gens are going to fly so I want to stay ahead of them pressure wise.
-
@exDbd said:
bc the game favors killer, they don’t give a rip about us survivors just bc they have been in matches with comp players, lets be honest 🙄
This is completely false lol. A group of survivors that bring in 7 or 8 second chance perks all while Gens are rapidly getting done. It goes both ways.

"Is it too much of a hot take to say using Deliverance shouldn't activate OTR, DH, or DS?"
They are already broken and injured. I dont think it would be a good idea to take away the OTR, DH, or DS.
-
I strongly disagree. I rarely win with him. His vines are pretty hard for me to hit personally even when I have aura. Sometimes I am too close when aiming and sometimes its just too far away. If they take away his "spam" then instead of his power hurting you after 3 or 4 hits it will need to hit you on each hit…Is this something you would want?
(My matches so far. I did so bad with him on the 4th game I had to hard camp just to get a 2k. I was terrible. Same with the 7th game going for my adpet. Was still fun at least trying to get my adept. Challenging.
-
To be fair a petition doesn't really mean anything. They are going to do what they want to do at the end of the day.
-
I want the zombies to crawl on walls… (Ngl.) LOL I know I know…Crazyyyyyyyy but I am serious.
-
They need to add this asap into the game! That would be so neat! Especially during World Breaker.

Unfortunately, with the ever growing mountain of content, BHVR can’t keep up with it anymore. A fixed number of devs to cover more and more content means that they have to abandon more and more older content just to keep up with the new stuff. We’re at the point now where we’re lucky to get more than 2-3 killer fixes/updates per year, so your favorite killer will be updated once every twenty years.
Right..Well, this is why we need a few more developers on hand to tackle this exact problem. You have an X amount of Devs working on New content and X amount to work on older content. Honestly just bringing a few devs to specifically only work on older content, reworks, addon passes etc would be amazing

Extreme maybe, I'm more just upset unlicensed killers get the short end of the stick most of the time, so maybe it's emotionally charged. I do enjoy playing against him tbf, I just don't like how spammy it is while my killer literally has such a long CD and I have to charge up my shot too AND it has travel time, also it has more chance to go wrong coz it bounces.
He just gets to point and then click, and reward until it works.
As for P.head you barely see him for such an iconic character, even with the rework people dislike playing him? Why? Clunky lol, that's the common consensus from any SH fan I know who plays this game.4.4 doesn't really matter much when your radius to hurt others is a huge circle around you, plus then you have the mobility albeit a long CD, I don't use it to try and land hits, I use it to close distance/go to a new target.
It'll get changes for sure, I don't think he'll be nerfed to uselessness, given how they've handled Kaneki, I imagine he'll probs not be able to hit as often again." I'm more just upset unlicensed killers get the short end of the stick most of the time, so maybe it's emotionally charged. "
I 100% Agree with you. Truly.

Have you or anyone else noticed more frame-slowdown-bugs with Houndmaster? Since this update I got the slowdown bug three times and it feels so awful. It could be really unlucky but I play HM quite often and never had this bug so common in such a short time.
On the chase command? If so, yes.

It doesn't clear anything up you just prove my point more, I think all you have to do is play against him on midwhich with no aura read protection when he has an aura read build for you to actually get some context.
It's an extreme case but it shows how badly designed they can be, this also goes for nurse actually. No its not the map, it's a perfect example of a map which should be used for testing to point out these issues early.
Unknown also loses their apparitions at a single channel, then has to go back there and wait for it to replace, that needs to be considered, not just mister pancake who can go through breakable walls and windows at high speed. Nemesis still needs to strike twice and needs to be in range, Vecna has clocks that can be used as information tools with addons.
P.head doesn't need mobility, he needs better control on his projectile, its horrible and clunky, and it takes time to prepare and shoot and then it takes time to come out, Vecna is a point and click adventure game that you can keep spamming while moving quickly and have full camera control.
Also you missed the point re interaction: He doesn't use windows, he doesn't use pallets, he barely respects walls. That's not good design at all. He's 4.4. If he misses he loses a lot of distance. Aura reading is really good on most killers to be fair especially on a map like Midwitch. The odds of you just getting that map is small as well. I have played a lot of vecna. I have gotten mostly outdoor maps. Survivors have had no issues making cuts, dodges, and using LOS breakers to get away. Which is good! Its counter play.
The illusions can be replaced though and it still waste the survivors time to get over there to take it out. In terms of your last point PH can do the exact same thing except you are instantly injured. Horribly clunky? Not true at all. I guess if you are playing on Console sure. On pc he is rather smooth.
I don't fully agree with you. I think your views on Vecna are honestly a bit extreme for someone who has played several hours of him and against as a survivor. Plus I played against him on PTB.
I tried aura perks which was helpful but gen slowdown is all I can handle personally right now.

I'm not saying it nurse level and agree he is well designed but the power is much more on the killer to hit than the survivor to dodge. Just saying dodge puts everything on the survivor and takes all agency away from the killer when their power is much more on them than the survivor. Predict the survivor or land it right under them and you ARE guaranteed a hit. Not everyone will be able to do that and fewer will be able to do so consistently but some players will and if it turns out to be easier than you think we could have a nurse situation.
To be fair you lose a lot of distance if you keep missing. The pressure is there on the killer for sure. Especially since he is 4.4ms

I'm sorry I disagree very strongly, any killer player can see their killer is being powercrept by this guy, you don't need to interact with anything and you can take health states, you have mobility and you dont even need to respect walls.
As an Unknown player seeing Krasue and now Vecna, or even like you compare his power to say Nemesis or P.head, what's the excuse there?
So many killers are getting left to rot and they keep making new ones instead of helping the ones we love.
You of all people should agree with that with the state Houndmaster is in."you don't need to interact with anything and you can take health states"
This is just false. Survivors have to dodge this power much like nurse, the only difference is nurse gets an instant hit. Vecna takes multiple vine attacks before an injury occurs.
"As an Unknown player seeing Krasue and now Vecna, or even like you compare his power to say Nemesis or P.head, what's the excuse there?"
I do agree Unknown needs some buffs again. However, we cannot forget Unknown can get to the other side within an instant due to his TP. Krasue and Vecna cannot. This needs to be considered. My point stands. Unknown still needs some buffs. Nemesis only needs 2 total tentacle hits for injury. He does have zombies that cause distractions and annoy survivors to give him a chance to make his way to the other side of the map. PH gets an instant injury everytime. He shouldn't have mobility.
"So many killers are getting left to rot and they keep making new ones instead of helping the ones we love."
I advocate for this a lot. You know this. I wouldn't argue this point. Lots of killers do need love whether buffs, QOL or bug fixes.
Hope this clears up anything.

He needs to be left alone. He's one of the most balanced killers ever to come out of PTB. If we tweak or adjust him its going to just ruin the character..Do we really need another killer that just gets ruined….again?

Unless the killer, you know, aims. With enough practice it will be nearly guaranteed.
You still have to aim. It still takes multiple hits before you even take damage. Be so for real. It could be another nurse situation but it’s not even close.
He’s designed very well
-

Nothing is guaranteed.. He has to aim in a small radius. Literally dodge.

Umm…big overhaul? No…small minor buff to his shred? Sure? I guess.
They barely touched his addons.
-
This killer was well designed for sure! <3
He's a lot of fun to play as and go against!
-
That's odd. Not sure. I just got it though today when I was playing on Hawkins. It might be based off that map? I am not sure. Thats where I got it.
-
No nerf comes close to when Pyramid Head got his butt size reduced. :(
-
I don't mind it at all thankfully. I enjoy character dialogue. It wouldn't hurt to have a toggle though.
-
He's all about mind games. Makes sense for this killer? Unfair to verse? Not at all.

Yes, most of the time what you see on a Roadmap they go through with. We had some inconsistencies last year for sure, but that from my experience that doesn't happen all the time.

The original concept has some sort of 'elegant pattern', to the tentacles, while the updated design has them sprouting at random. It's realistic, but ugly (and not in a very good way).

Yeah Monstrous Shrine is my fav perk to use on Sadako but the problem is on small maps Survivors are just countering that by just simply insta unhooking, that's a really strong perk to punish genrushers but the fact they can unhook like 2 secs before the survivors hits 2nd stage is absurd to me.
The counter to insta unhooking is TP right back and punish them for it. :D

Well to really get value from this perk it should been at least 40% faster Entity progression, and would be amazing if the perk gets highlighted when you are far away from the hook.
Just make it 20m away not 24 that's obnoxious and unrealistic to get value from unless you play Killers that can teleport away after hooking in basement lolI get good value with it on Sadako. “Poof!” I am gone. Now pass away survivors 🤣
It really punishes greedy survivors. -
Why do we keep going back to a “spider” there are way scarier monsters to choose from. I want something just as creative as The dredge.

Right on all with exception to: Clown, Trapper, Hag and Nemesis. Doctor in particular has no issues I've noticed, and along with wraith, unknown, Demo, Artist, and SM, is very stable and bug free.
Clown has 1 annoying but thankfully RARE bug wherein sometimes when you throw a bottle, it just explodes in mid air right as it leaves your hand, but that sometimes works out in your favor, so it's not that bad.
Trapper Would be great, except right now, there seems to be a server Desync issue with his traps. Sometimes survivors are vacuumed to traps they see as being passable, which works out for him, but other times they waltz right over a trap and it doesn't trigger, even if on the killers screen, there's no possible way it wouldn't nab a survivor. Until they fix this desync issue, his traps are really unpredictable.
Same goes for Hag, but along side the desync, there's also the long left uncorrected bug with her wherein she teleports to a trap and has a brief pause before she can move, giving survivors ample space to avoid getting hit. This bug has been a part of her since back around the midchapter patch before Dredge came out, and hasn't ever been corrected, leaving her in a pretty unviable state.
And of course there's Nemesis… Nothing wrong with his main Whip power or infections, but his zombies are super buggy. They get stuck on literally nothing, Their pathing and detection is all messed up making sound queue perks the only viable means of detection for them, and sometimes when they spawn they just don't move, as if they got stuck in their spawn position. Honestly with all the improvements they've made to survivor bots, you'd think the devs would pass some of the code over to the poor zombie, they're totally unreliable, and if it weren't for their 6m audible range, survivors would never get surprise hit by them.
Skull Merchsnt is not bug free. She has a very glaring issue where when you put a drone out to scan, the drone won’t be placed so you are out of a power for X amount of time till you can replace it.
Small visual bug. Upon loading in her neck breaks every time she loads in. Both of these bugs have been in the game for over a year. Both reported. None have been fixed. -
@Emeal said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4047556#Comment_4047556
and I am pointing out that fixing all those issues does not start with a poll, it starts with clear and good bug reports and ideas that can actually convince the developers and that can be implenented.
I understand and while I agree, the community has been helping with bug reports as well as detailed feedback for sometime. I believe the community needs to be heard more often BHVR. A poll is just a means to get a point across. “Could BHVR do a lot better with cleaning up the game in regards to issues that have been talked about more than family gossip on a thanksgiving dinner? Yes…yes they could.”
I get where you are coming from though.
-
@Emeal said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4047396#Comment_4047396
I'm not pointing fingers at you, your bug reports might be flawless, but there is a lot of them that serve nothing more than a vague hint that a bug exists, which isn't going to help getting it fixed.
And the problem with vague posting, with the message you specifically posted is that the game works fine, people just wont admit it does and prefer to talk about the game like its broken and doesnt work, when it objectively does.
To be clear, I am pointing out that the poll is harsh. Does BHVR have a lot to work on with the game? Oh yes. Very much so. Killers need a lot of help and love. Too many bugs with them that need fixing.
