I also found out the hard way that it resets everything, annoying but whatever.
My main take away from those tutorials was what a pain it is to play Trapper with no perks or addons. Now I got all the bots but sweated a more than I should have.
-
Sprint Burst is the selfish play because you spend the entire trial walking while your team runs from Gen to Gen. Dead Hard is much more valuable as a tool to make up for loop mistakes, which is the only way a survivor gets caught in this game.
That said, Head On is the most fun exhaustion perk hands down.
-
Because he can down everyone in a single attack.
However I disagree that all Bubbas play that way, I know I don't. I would suggest that if this has happened to you that you not run toward the basement while being chased or if you see a teammate in the basement you not follow them down. Do the gens and leave.

I know people love it and I wouldn't say that its the worst perk, but I find whispers to be pretty useless. I've used it, I understand how it works, I just don't like bringing it. I think it can be good on GF and Pig.
Use Whispers on Doctor to guarantee a hit with your Static Blast every time
-
DCing is for quitters, don't be a quitter.
-
Ghostface overall because stalking isn't required to succeed but I love me a good peak a boo Myers on small maps
-
If you get camped/tunneled its basically a free escape for your other three teammates. If you don't want to be the odd one out maybe don't be the first one found.
-
Run DS, its on you if you cant escape.
-
There was so much negative feedback on these forums, how can you feel scammed when it was clear exactly how bad this killer was from the very beginning?

New DS means if the killer is tunneling he will get punished. Where as old DS the killer got punished even if they didn't tunnel.
Which is why I am fine with new DS. I was fine with the old one honestly, I didn't abuse it and respected it as a killer.
-
Maybe the terminology is what is upsetting everyone. DS isn't as much anti-tunnel as it is tunnel punishment. Sure, if a killer still wants to tunnel you they will but to say it only prolongs a chase by 5 seconds is wrong. It resets a chase completely and give the survivor another chance to waste the killers time. The point is to make the killer pay for focusing one one person no matter what. To that end DS is effective.
-
Even after the "nerf" its strong and it encourages the killer to keep moving to push people on gens. Honestly gen regression should be base in the game, this would even out the game a ton.

In what universe/world is trickster released in his current state?
Why. Just. Why.
In the world where you are designing more for cosmetic options than killing ability. Also without play testing against any survivors under rank 15.
-
@DontNerf said:
Seriously tho who looks at this killer and goes "good job!"
The cosmetic team at BHVR
-
Well Blight isn't terrible, the bounce mechanic is unique though a little hard on console. The Twins were a unique design just overall a pretty weak killer. As far as the Trickster is concerned he is neither unique or a strong killer.
-
The developers have no interest in making any killers strong. There are 4 survivors and one killer per match and it is in BHVR best interest to appease the larger percentage of the player base. Its sad, but true.
-
They say its random. The Shrine isn't a reliable way of accruing perks and even after unlocking them you still have to find them in the bloodweb. Of all of the issues with this game this is one of the least broken.
-
I play on Series X now, no frame drops on bloodlust. It is alot better.
-
Its an instadown problem. All of the killers who have this ability suffer from the same issue.
-
I don't think playing survivor is easy but I would say in most games it is a lot less stressful. And less players want to subject themselves to the stress of playing killer.
-
I can only only speak to the Xbox One Series X version but the PFS is much improved from the Xbox One X version. Bloodlust, Dead Hard and Sloppy frame drops are gone. It felt unfair to play against PC players on the last gen but I feel on level ground now.
-
Ruin is a necessity is most high rank games and even then you have to apply constant pressure to get the most out of it. Its the state of the game, plain and simple.
-
It depends, usually at ranks lower than 15 you can get unhooked pretty quick. But also depends if the killer is standing right there, unless one has BT rescuing is ill advised in that situation.

Take knock out, third seal and sloppy butcher on a hag and then just leave people on the ground after you down them; kill people by using the bleedout timer instead of sacrificing them. Unless everyone is down and no longer has unbreakable; then hook them of course..
Works with trapper and honing stone as well somewhat. Works on insta down killers too without knockout if you take like undying in its place.
You'll get plenty of insults, death threats and obscenities postgame- but you'll never be decisive striked or flashlight stunned out of a pickup ever again lol. Can't sabo a hook if you never use one xDDD
This only works because due to this playstyle you have depipped so far that you are playing against new Lvl 20 survivors.
It does sound like fun for a game or two though

I know. Also we both made a mistake, in total it's actually 6 times, so your total chances are 48% actually. Since you start off with 3 attempts, 3 added, with 4% luck added to each one.
I agree on the added attempts and maybe I am misunderstanding but when you say you have a 48% chance of unhooking that is almost 50% which would be a fantastic play and should be attempted every time you can. What I am saying is its actually only an 8% chance on each attempt, which is still a low probability play even with more attempts. The % don't add because each attempt is an individual event.

I mean the maximal chance without perks is 12%.
Also slippery meat is a decent perk, in total it's 40% chance.. but then again deliverance just needs you to unhook someone else.
Stupid thing is, if you attempt at your last try, you are on death hook now, which is stupid and should be fixed.
With Slippery Meat each attempt is an individual attempt, you just get more of them. So its a base 8% chance, 4 times. Which is still not great if its not boosted by luck offerings.
-
I'm not 100% sure but I think you may have faced a SWF team. It happens to the best of us.
-
If one player is on the hook and he is camping don't have the other three run in at the same time for the save, that is literally what he wants you to do since he can one shot multiple people in close proximity. Just finish Gens, leave and move on.
-
OP has 3 hours in the game, of course he feels this way. 3.000 = 3.
This is a quality thread and not salty bait at all.
-
Fully expect Hex: Undying to get the nerf hammer, which is unfortunate since its high use is due to how impossible most games against high level SWFs are
-
If you aren't cleansing against Plague you are doing her a solid. Having everyone injured all game is ideal and allows her to snowball the entire team by slugging.
-
Use Iron Maidan for max success, by the time they get out they will be exposed and you will be that much closer.

In what way is it unreliable and which offerings effect its reliability? Out of curiosity? Not sure what you mean by that.
In regards to it working better on some maps than others, I believe that to be dependant upon the killer?
Nurse has no problems with it on any map. Huntress however would struggle on an indoor/multi level map but even then whispers would be just as useless.
I am saying you can only control the map with an offering but Spies works much better on smaller maps as the crow density is higher and the survivors are more likely to be in the detection range. I can see your point about it being useful on Nurse but if it requires a variable you usually cannot control it is not the most reliable strategy.

I disagree. Moris were a problem for a long time, and they shouldn't be used to steamroll a game for free.
Every one talks about this "Problem Mori" game but how many times did it actually happen? I've been playing this game for a year and a half and think I only saw a game or two where the killer Moried everyone in a first few min. I feel like it was I thing we all feared but it never really happened.
-
Moris are now pointless because they were a way to have some success when as a killer you were not doing well. If you have already hooked all of the survivors twice you are doing fine and the Mori is not needed.
-
The issue with Spies is it works much better on certain maps and unless you are always using an offering its unreliable.

The only combo I would see this perk being ok with is Franklin's Demise.
Sure but then is the plan to give them more items just so you can knock them out of their hands? That isn't a very viable strategy. IMO giving the survivors more chests is a buff for them even if the killer gets alerted to them being opened.
-
What did you expect? There are alot more survivor players than killers so the complain has always been much stronger from that side.
Moris were always for Memeing anyway
-
If its still giant that seems like a fair trade off
-
What if I told you that you don't have to run meta perks to have fun or usually be successful. Make your own role (healer, unhooker, sabo, totem finder, killer runner).
-
Camping does work very will against inexperienced survivors because they don't usually exploit the mechanics of Borrowed Time/DS and they don't seem to understand that gen rushing is the best counter.
-
Yes, froze 4 times in 2 hours last night. Hopefully a fix coming soon.
-
According to what I've seen the PS5 will eventually have backwards compatibility with most PS4 games. Although not all PS4 titles will be compatible with the PS5 initially, Sony's goal is to have the top 100 games from the PS4 compatible by the PS5 launch date. So maybe?
-
Gone are the days that everyone expects Ruin in every game. Most survivors are to busy rushing the Gens to look for totems and think they can just push through. I don't think a change needs to be made.
-
If you have DS you can force it with a locker, otherwise as an attempt to Head-On if the killer doesn't imminently open.
-
Dead Hard is a perk that sounds useless on paper but works surprisingly well in game. Getting to the next loop or tanking an easy hit should double the chase time and keep the gens flying.
-
70% for killer and 75% for survivor on Xbox. They need to be at least this high to replicate what PC can do with mouse and keyboard. I don't usually change sensitivities but its much needed for this game.
-
Ruin, Surveillance, Sloppy, Nurses
Find them, hit them, hit them again when they try to heal. Repeat.
-
I got it on Xbox last night for several new bloodwebs
-
You have to play ALOT to finish the rift, even if you can get all of the challenges. I for one know I will never finish it since I only have an hour or two a day to play DBD.
