I just got it too on XboxOneX. How do we fix?
-
The game is definitely killer sided for new players but becomes much more survivor sided the longer you play. Used to be rank 20-16 killer sided and rank 15-1 survivor sided, so just keep going and it will get better.

That's the issue, they're wasting everyone's time! So why would you oppose a system or mechanic that mitigated that at least a little? Too many people have been slugging and letting everyone bleed out because it's a cheap and easy win, that's what has been happening recently.
Because the potential for abuse from the survivor side is even higher then the rate of 4 min intentional slug deaths. Killers don't pip if they don't get hooks and alot of them. The MMR system surly does not look kindly on multiple bleed outs because it means less chases, hooks and sacrifices. Slugging is a viable tactic sometimes and fair because its very counterable with perks and group cooperation. Killing yourself in any case is a DC with a nicer name.

That would work if the issue wasn't that you were intentionally slugged by the killer and left there to bleed out in four minutes. If the killer wanted to hook you, you would be hooked, and not slugged at all or for as long.
If they know where you are and don't hook you they are wasting your time and theirs. Which is why the timer is there. The current system works fine.
-
If you want this why not have a notification given to the killer if you are on the ground for a certain amount of time. They will get notified, find you and hook you. Game over.
-
Its is a niche perk that has already been nerfed previously.
Don't listen to them BHVR

This patch had some great fixes about the cenobite.
I also saw some bugs with the item drop sound BUT they didn't fix the item drop sound when a match starts.
They fixed some item drop sounds that I've never saw and they didn't fix the most obvious
Also they didn't fix the bug where you can't see the map name at the start of the match and the match result when you are in the final screen
But this was a patch for bug fixes about the new killer so I will not complain that much but these bugs are very obvious
++++we can't kick some gens from some sides on some maps like sanctum of wrath and one another that I don't remember know 😅😅
What great fixes? Bug fixes are great but not a whole lot about the Cenobite changed and worst of all his lunge momentum is still messed up
-
It immediately loses 6% and starts to regress like you kicked it. Problem is kicked gens regress at 1/4 the speed it takes to repair them so if a survivor is right there they can make it up quickly even with 16 seconds of not being able to work on it (4 seconds to make back the 16 lost)
-
Reduce the range survivors can see the box or shorten the default Chain Hunt timer.
Also let Pinhead see the box within 16 meters, it is impossible for him to find the box when improbable would be much more balanced
-
Getting them contaminated isn't worth having to hit them 3 times when Zombie's almost never get hits
-
Still have yet to try but I would think the totems would be hidden by Third Seal but definitely not the Lament Configuration
-
Yep, I'm noticing a trend here
-
Usually if I am on a gen I will face the most likely direction of approach and if I hear the TR start going the other way. Maybe practice with Spine Chill so you know when the killer is actually facing you. Above all plan where you want to go if you do have to run, closest pallet or window, even if you do get hit on the way there you can still produce a quality chase.
-
Agreed.
Fix the lunge bug
Takes longer for survivors to remove chains
Either shorten the default Chain Hunt start timer or adjust how far away survivors can see the box from
Boom! Fixed Pinhead
-
There is a difference between not being able to see it at all and the box having an Aura within 16 meters for Pinhead. The only way a chain hunt occurs is if the survivors let it. One would think BHVR learned their lesson about survivors taking the killers power hostage with the Twins chapter.

My build,
GIVE ME THE BOX;
Hex: Plaything -when you hook a survivor for the first time, they become oblivious until a hex totem that's assigned to them is cleansed
Hoarder -you gain a notification when someone picks up an item.
Hex: 3rd Seal -when you hit a survivor with a basic attack, they gain blindness
Undying- the first hex perk cleansed instead is transfered to a dull totem, this is cleansed instead.
So the idea is that players are gonna be busy with finding the box or removing their oblivious effect. Thing is that they don't get aura reads on the box or their assigned totem due to blindness from 3rd seal essentially making people walking around like headless chickens trying to find the box before you do. If they don't, CHAIN HUNT TIME.
Are you sure that survivors can't see the box with 3rd Seal? Killer items like Jigsaw Boxes, Pools of Devotion, Alarm Clocks and Cages of Atonement are exceptions. I would assume the Lament Configuration would be on that list too.

Killer sided from rank 20 to 16 when the survivors don't understand how the game works
Survivor sided from rank 15 to 1 when they learn how the game works
-
Yea, no chance.
You'd run into a team with 4 flashlights and there goes any chance for Hag. Good luck limping after everyone at 110%
-
Someone got DESTROYED by a Bubba and literally created an account to vent about it. That is a special kind of mad.
-
No reason to divide the community. This isn't a competitive game, no leaderboards and few tourneys.

The problem is. That is still bullshit. You can get 2 kills(balanced right) because you camped one to death because you're down to 1 gen after 4 minutes. Then take one with you at the EGC...Balance right ? No. Thats far from balanced and what MOST games are going to turn in to
Oh I agree, a killer win for me will always be getting all 4 but I am hoping the system keeps me out of the games where that is impossible
-
They said a "win" is escape or kill so an average game should have two of each
-

The game is poorly designed because survivors go for unsafe unhooks? I mean... I think it has some design issues. This isn't one of them.
There is no such thing as a unsafe unhook when running Barrowed Time

But like I said they keep making perks specifically designed for you to be found, but lets say I'm not found first right? I do as many gens as I can but the second the killer gets me which at some point they always do, if they play toxic they will never let up.
I'm not sure what level your playing at but in my experience it gets better at higher ranks because those killers what to get everyone and tunneling will never get you everyone.
-
Don't get found first, problem solved. If you sprint to a gen right off the bat for the rush you are asking to be found quickly. Sure tunneling is no fun but at worst the other 3 people walk out with no problem, be one of those people.
-
Mostly map info and mutation ammunition, at best they will get a single survivor hit in a match.
Its is ALWSYS hilarious when you can run a survivor into them though.
-
My idea would be a shared perk pool for SWF, no repeats on the team. This would close the gap between them and solo survivors while forcing the very strongest players to not just the same few perks.
-
Making gens go faster in any situation would only make this game even more one sided for SWF.
As much I think increasing time to finish a gen would balance the game it is a complete non starter with the Devs. I've long though a passive regression would make more sense since it requires killer pressure to work at all. Like Ruin but not nearly as extreme.
-
Current system is fine. You DC you take the timeout. If you are crashing that often that's on you and your machine.
-
Who thinks Leatherface is weak?
He literally has an one shot on demand. When I play him I have to make an effort to hit a couple M1s or I'll derank.
-
Pig because of the inconsistent luck needed for her to succeed. Myers may be an M1 but he has a couple viable ways to play though add-ons and perks.

its killer sided rank 20 to rank 1. Its survivor sided when a cracked team of 4 sweating their asses off and communicating everything and all have the ability to loop for 90s which literally happens 1 in every 30 games maybe, its a killer stomp the rest of the time, survivors are lemmings. Even in swfs when 3 of them are good they all die because the 4th creates huge dead zones that no matter how good they are the good players cant get out of alive.
Play killer a few times, learn what they can and can't do. If you are spotted as a survivor run to the nearest pallet/window and make the killer work to hit you and above all just run forward, you can waste tons of time this way and it will allow your teammates to finish all the gens.

@GannTM said:
When you say the game is survivor sided, are you talking about a specific skill level or just overall? Because it all can vary. The game is survivor sided in the highest level and the game is killer sided in the lowest level.
Sure, but that balance is killer sided from rank 20 to 16 and survivor sided from 15 to 1. Basically once the survivors figure out the mechanics of the game they are the stronger side. So overall this is a survivor sided game.

Sure, some stink but all are toxic players.

I think its detective hunch because you get the information by doing your objective which get the totems done naturally over the course of the game. The worst thing i see happen is people using counterforce and Small game and wasting a min and a half of the early game knocking out all the totems and putting the team at a behind in gen pressure.
Unless that min and a half knocks out Ruin, Devour and Undying. Which I've both been done and has happened to me.

Myth: All Bubbas facecamp
Truth: While the multiple downs per chainsaw attack are possible after unsafe unhooks most Bubba mains don't need to rely on this
-
The best way to do this is to require a shared pool of perks for any survivors in a SWF. They can view which perks the others in the SWF have but solo survivors can not see anyone's perks. This would even the playing field of SWF and increase the diversity of perks. Its a win-win.
-
When the killer meta is all generator slow down perks what does that tell you about how fast the generators get done in the average match?
DEVS, IM LOOKING AT YOU
-
Its called playing the game for awhile and then take a couple months and rank resetting back to Rank 20 then trying to work way back up.
Ranks 20 to 16 survivors have no idea what they should be doing. THE PAIN!

Oh you poor thing. That's not the tryhard build. That used to be the tryhard build. The current tryhard build is Corrupt, Ruin, Pop, and some other 4th perk (BBQ because even bloodpoints).
You would think the Devs would get the hint when the meta killer build is ALL gen slow down that they can be finished way to quickly in the average match.

He is a noob stomper. More experienced players drop pallets early to avoid M2 and generally ignore the zombies.

Someone just got smashed on Hawkins

"Waaa! The killer is making me leave the generator I was rushing! How dare he hit me when I refuse to run away!"
Use Spine Chill and stop crying

Yes. On PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X, Dead Hard will freeze the game.
Again, this was an issue I experienced first hand when playing on Xbox One but isn't an issue with Xbox Series X. I cant speak for any other console but those two I can.
Same with Bloodlust, no frame drops on the new gen
-
What system are you on? I had this issue on Xbox One but once I got the Xbox Series X I never have frame drops with DH.
-
SWF, map, luck into a chill killer. Escape.
They shortened the time the hatch stays open with keys to make sure everyone is right there.
-
If you have problems with Clown, Hag or Twins you need to play more and get out of brown ranks.
-
If people are still buying them then they are not overpriced.

More Elodie's than Twins for sure but there are a ton more Legions than Jeffs. I notice because I play Jeff alot and I NEVER see any others.
