@No1TheLarch Yeah because there are no farmers in higher ranks..... nice one dude, but a bit early for an april fool =)
-
Well you would have to pay me that I play killer on PS4 tbh^^
-
She was in PTB, but the movement speed nerf crippled her
-
BHVR is a developer and not a streamer, so I doubt that

ever heard of a Macro?
bannable btw

The issue really is that there is just too much of a power difference between new players, experienced solo players, and coordinated SWF.
Most killers are weak because most players aren't good. That isn't too disparage "bad survivors" dead by daylight has 20,000 players a day, 13,332 of those players are in the bottom 2/3rds skill bracket by necessity and likely struggle with Wraith and Clown as is. Billy is overbearing to *them.*
This is likely why Nurse has never been touched. The Dev's opinion seems to be "if you want to tackle rank 1 SWF commando squads, play Nurse" because having one killer that is that power skewed to handle the rarer SWF squad is well enough without a complete game mechanics overhaul to bring SWF in line with the rest of the game.
They just need to understand that playing Nurse all day every day is boring. So, so boring.
And until they realise that I will play the unviable killers I enjoy in the lower ranks

I've noticed camping is waaaaay up. This is why I asked the killer why they ran gen tracking perks if they were gonna face camp and that's the message I got. I get it if you run a something like insidious... @Nikkiwhat
Not surprising at all considering that double pallet jungle gyms are back. If I still played then I'd camp a lot more too I guess
-
Its sad but true, NOED is the only thing that does sth remotely against genrushers. Ruin debatable, but RNG and powering through... meh

@Master No, I say that using an item is looking for an easier match. Which is fine. Because why even bother having items if you can't use them? The same goes for killer addons and offerings. Both sides are trying to make the match easier for themselves. Dodging because you see a toolbox or dcing because you don't like what a killer brought is the problem.
As I said, killers are addon dependend while survivors are not.
-
@Jimsalabim No, the devs literally posted a week ago that NOED is in a good place and that they dont want to change it
-
The rank 1 killerstream I watched yesterday evening seemed to get lobbies quite quickly =)

@thrawn3054 said:
I see people pointing out that survivors bringing tool boxes, and the like are looking for an easier game, and the irony of them accusing killers of dodging for an easier game. To this I say it's the same as a killer bringing addons. Should I dodge every lobby where I suspect the killer is running strong addons or a mori? Or should I just suck it up and play the damn game? I think just playing the damn game is the better option for both sides. That includes the little bitches that DC all the time.
The difference is that killers are addon dependend
You say a killer lobbydodging is searchign for easy matches, I say survivors bringin items are looking for easy matches

Wait, how is Shadowborn considered a counter to items? I can see Franklin's and, in the case of flashlights, Lightborn, but Shadowborn?
Shadowborn might help you against stealth skins
-
"soon TM"
-
@Poweas Have fun =)
-
Will we get a killer with similar perks to Ash? You know, second chances, cancerous as hell, not healthy for the game? Or only survivors can receive such perks?
They didnt even give us a month without DS, now they just renamed it lul
And of course they let survivors pay for it =)
-
Yeah im taking a break now, theres no point playing in the current state
-
I almost never get dodged

You'll get banned if EAC sees some marco software running... but if you are using your mouse or keyboard driver to do the marcoing....
GL EAC.
The game technically can identify a macro due to the pattern a macro has, just fyi

You say that like it's a choice. You aren't going to break chase against a determined killer who is even slightly good at tracking.
You can if you want to, there are several perks that can help you with that aswell
-
Because nobody enjoys playing against him, because he bypasses game mechanics.
Same could be said about SWF and voice comms
-
The shack doesnt even last 8 seconds? Yeah maybe if it is run by you... lul
-
I just called the FBI
-
Macros are indeed bannable, but still unlikely you willget banned.
What I dont understand however is how you can macro M1 hits, there is a cd after every attack where the survivor can jump in and you cant change that with a macro

@Master Average survivors can loop but they fall into mindgames easily, can't assess your skill and movement patterns, can't foresee what you are going to do or not capable of understanding your way of playing. They just know how to loop, use pallets and windows. Of course it is enough against a killer who doesn't even know how to play jungle gyms, TL walls or shack etc. but it is definitely not enough if you are playing against somewhat competent killer.
If you are getting demolished by average survivors, you have to be, at best, average as a killer.
There are no mindgames in a loop where you can see the killer at any time. Look at the 30 sec of the video, was that a mindgame? lul
-
@TreemanXD 2 per game? Seems about right yeah
-
@Delfador Average survivors? well that depends what you understand when talking about average.
When I talk about the average player, I assume that he has gathered knowledge of the basic game mechanics and knows how to loop, how killers work etc.
An average survivor with this knowledge will demolish leatherface in a chase, he has no tools to deal with a looper. Every window and pallet completely denies him
-
Good, now find a way to fix it so that BHVR can implement the changes you suggest

Actually about 50% of people who DC lose connection to host
From my experience, less than 10% of all DCs are actual DCs. Around 80% of DCs happening in my games are definitely intentional ragequits

But they just released a new killer. The fact that they release a new survivor so soon after a chapter came out already amazes me. I think we should be grateful, after all, since we've been given a whole new chapter recently they were not forced to even give us a chapter that only contains a survivor.
Grateful?
Im pissed off. There are countless issues in the game, both bug and balance issues.
What do the devs do? Hey lets throw out another chapter, subsituting the nerfed DS not even after a month.

(just watched all the vids)
where did you get such bad survivors??
seriously... these videos dont rly show how "strong bubba is", but actually how bad these survivors played.
lemme break down vid #1 ("If survivors try to pallet loop this may happen:") for you:
00:00 - 00:19 you spawn in and immediately spot a jane. good for you.
00:19 - 00:30 jane completely ignores the bus window, turns away from a great loop and also does not throw down the pallet, even though you are standing right behind her.
00:30 - 00:32 jane goes down (obviously). claudette just got unlucky there.
00:32 - 00:46: claudette immediately ragequits once she realises she'd be going to the basement. the team is now down one survivor while you didnt even have to insidious camp the basement, leaving them no time to get the gens done.
00:46 - 01:07: nea screwed up the flashlight blind AND let herself get hit twice, while you were carrying the claudette (which made you slower than nea btw)
01:07 - 01:13: you hook jane #1 and jane #2 misses a skillcheck (wouldnt have changed a lot, as you would have seen her with BBQ. however, i guess she was aiming to go for that locker in order to prevent being seen. in that case, why did she only start moving after you already downed nea, instead of going for it the very second you pick up jane #1?)
01:13 - 01:14: nea ragequits.
01:14 - 01:19: jane #1 ragequits. now only jane #2 remains in this trial with 5 gens and exposed position.
01:19 - 01:26: jane #2 is standing in front of the locker she probaply wanted to use to dodge BBQ. she gave up at that point (with 3 ragequits and such an... special team, i am not rly surprised)
01:26 - 01:32: you down her and won.
see? this had nothing to do with how "good" bubba is, but is actually just showing how bad these guys played.
right now im really just hoping this is bait and you werent serious...
Should have stopped watching after the first 30 sec, "survivor trying to loop", yeah thats how it looks when a rank 20 survivor tries to loop for his first time

Improving the gameplay? I'd like to think that raising the bar would do this as well. But from what I have witnessed thus far, I have seen a lot of players just no longer caring and not really playing anymore because they are good players who are being down ranked or not ranking up at all. Anyways, whether you believe it's about ranking up or not, the matchmaking and the frequency of people ranking up are related and affect each other.
And yes, when it comes to dc's from either a teammate or the killer early in the game, it would be nice if there was a compensation for the players remaining. However, I am sure the penalty of taking away the ability to rank up(at least in the high ranks) when someone dc's is to discourage rage quitting. Because now when you do dc(or even suicide on your first hook), you are now causing everyone in the match to suffer rank wise.
And why is that? Because there is not a single reason for ranking up.
I dont know what happened to the seasonal rewards promised on the 2018 roadmap, you better ask that question to BHVR

What about the first clip? The survivor only tried to loop the pallet once and still got downed (and his team mate as well)
The survivor doesnt even know how to loop, he doesnt cut corners, has no idea of pathing and literally walks through a pallet without dropping it and gets chainsawed afterwards
-
I dont even wanna imagine how awful the game would be if every survivor would run WGLF and farm everones ass

Play legion with thana.
That results in some fast games usually, thanks to DCing
-
I just watched the first 30 sec of the first video.
Yeah leatherface is a strong killer if survivors dont know how to play, a really strong one if they throw themselves at the hook
-
Countless sound bugs, Lery's scratch mark bugs, matchmaking bugs, perk bugs, this version is filled to the brim with bugs.
Tuesday will just bring the chapter.
Im taking a break in april from DBD, really no point playing anymore, especially if they didnt even wait a month to introduce the DS-subsitute... its ridiculous
-
If you can believe the survivors on the forums, then DCing is the best strategy to make a survivor depip. Cant verify though because killers never DC in my games.
But other than that, yeah camping might be the best strategy if you wanna make a survivor depip (gotta use leatherface though).
The best strategy to make a killer depip is genrushing as the depip squad proved

@Master | No one said that it was.
Survivors said that for 3 years. The killer should just git gud
-
@Bravo0413 Summer will basically show whether DBD has a future or not
-
@GraviteaUK I know, but I like it when survivors have to face the facts thhey cant deny
-
The problem?
No reason to rank up, no rewards
-
Nah, actually i turned down the game music quite low and listen to my own music instead.
BVHR has turned down the volume of the sounds you actually want so low that you literally go deaf when certain actiosn happen (survivors tapping TOTH totems etc)
-
Im not quite sure, but what I can tell you is that the last maps that have bene itnroduced are just really really big which means that your traps are really really far away aswell because the number doesnt scale (pallets do hwoever lul?)
-
But a rank 18 killer facing rank 1s has been fine for 3 years?

You aren't understanding.
Having to spend 100k going through other offerings and addons to find one isn't included in the cost because that is getting you the other addons and offerings as well. The only reasonable argument you can make is the 6k spent on that specific addon. I've already got 40 of them stacked up.
Because you never use them, there is no way running consistently a build with the dream transition addons, just like it is impossible to consistently play with insta heal in yoru builds

It's not 100k stop exaggerating. Even without it he has a built in Deerstalker which makes him better at it than most killers.
Exaggerating? I still remember truetalent trying to play freddy on stream but he wanted exactly that addon, he had to go through 3 complete bloodweb and in the 4th there was one. That is a lot above 100k
Also I challenge you, next time you wanna spend BP on freddy, save up 1kk and make a video of how much you get =)
-
@GT_Legend2 Either play as SWF or take a break. I heard civilization is a good alternative game =)
