Is reportable to steal (an item being searched) from BEHIND the chest?

The surv searching has no chance to take the item if you are behind the chest with fast M1

    That sounds like griefing to be honest but that's just my sense of fair play but a dev/mod opinion would be nice. They might also get the search points as well if they do it right.

    Cant be worse than when someone sets down a halloween medkit to get your attention and you pick it up only to be followed until you leave with it....

    But yeah, I dont know about cheating, but griefing or maybe exploiting the area that you can pick it up from and the delay in animation they have to go through.

    Could be a simple fix of the opposite they did with 360 hooks. But it's an item pickup not a chest interaction at that point. Maybe they could add invisible walls around the sides and back of a chest like walls, to prevent it?

    Just spitballing as to why it happens or how it could be fixed. Unless of course its "working as intended".
