  • and this will cause infinite lobby dodging because people can’t run the perks they want.

  • i’m going to get downvoted for this but jason is fine apart from totem jason. If you lose to a non totem jason it is 100% a skill issue. His spear is super easy to dodge unless he zoned you but if that happens it is because you messed up.

  • less: sadako, ghoul, legion

So you're telling someone there's no reason they should be losing while you're winning on the opposite side? Does that really make sense?

This is the result of 75 matches for me so far:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KBFRFOBLBXNW/screenshot-20260709-143517.jpg

And I'm not not even exploiting the killers everyone hopped on. The people I'm playing against are very much using the event things. That's why they're losing. They're playing with toys, trying to body block or refill tables, instead of doing gens. I had a 30 minute match last night that got down to two people jumping into portals and insthealing every time I landed a hit. They dragged it out, but they still lost. The people who have beat me during the event are the ones sitting on gens with Stakeout and Hylerfocus.

And it's kinda hard to say "use the event stuff" when it seems like most player are picking killers that mostly negate the effects. Something tells me now that the couple days of whining are over killers are doing quite well.

both of those killers work insanely well in the event though. If you were losing on them it would be 100% a skill issue. poison on clown is basically an I win button.

...so what do you do when you watch the hook timer ticking down quickly? Cause that sorta gives the game away that monstrous shrine is in play.

well i pay attention to the hud. I know i’m one of the few that do apparently based on the teammates i get.

  • @HexSlugged said:

i promise you that will not make survivors rescue you quicker.

They can still see your timer so even if it goes down a bit faster they are either going to just ignore you or they will wait until the timer is down far enough that they cant wait anymore and then will push a save.

Survivor players rarely make intelligent hook rescues

If i knew monstrous shrine was in play i was definitely adjust the gameplan. Time management is a big factor in this game. If i think i can stick a gen for 10 seconds and make it too you with time to spare i will do it. That plan no longer works when monstrous is in play.

one of the biggest factors i’m only going to agree that it should be changed is because swfs exist and will communicate the perk is in play. Soloq players should also have that information.

  • atleast you guys get codes, i’ve never received one for anything.

Sadly yes. I will probably just quit the game if every character has voicelines in the Trials. Especially because most of them are so bad, because either the voice actor is bad or the script they have gotten is bad.

if they replace all the screams, moans and grunts etc i’m going to leave too. They butchered steves hook scream. I don’t want them touching any of my mains.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4097225#Comment_4097225

Which they can do. Totally fine. IF they add a toggle to disable them.

I also dont think that everyone will be happy when voicelines are added to older characters. This will often also mean that there will be new Voice Actors. And we have seen with Steve that this is not always well received.

what do you mean if? Unfortunately for you they decided it is going to happen.

  • team wide instant heals + portals. Also the fact that survivors get to keep a morsel during the desert phase but we lose our poison even if we have some left is just wrong.

  • I agree, update her hud but also make death hook be a requirement for the mori to be more modern with recent killer mori’s.

  • yeah i’ve held firm in not buying this. Richter deserved better than what ever this monstrosity is.

What about the countless "Survivor sided" event posts since the Black Banquet started? All the new accounts made and new threads spammed…?

There is nothing wrong with you talking about perks you want to get help, but this is about Jason.

when i said posts i meant specifically in this topic not forum wide.

when i corrected someones list of things they got wrong about jason’s kit because it’s obvious they never played jason i still got down voted. Again people don’t like the truth. It isn’t me being unable to carry fourth a discussion.

What truth, people are just speaking their opinions, your assumptions people are "Survivor sided" is the issue, killers are even speaking in this thread.

You just can't have a back and forth discussion, that's all there is to it.

If you don't like that, then boohoo

When some posts in here say “its only survivor perks getting nerfed what about killer perks” and i list several perks that have either been nerfed or gutted and that post which contains factual information that isn’t based on opinion is downvoted it isn’t me that can’t handle back and fourth discussion.

Yeah, the downside to Calm Spirit was an interesting choice. The scream interaction does cause unforeseen issues.

This issue with breaking a totem being heavily guarded goes back several years. Funny how old lessons have to be relearned. At least now Ruin doesn't have the teeth it had back then. As long as you spread out across multiple gens, Ruin doesn't play the pivotal role like it used to.

A three gen around the totem would cause a challege but the same could occur with a Trapper with a well placed trap.

I personally don't believe Skill Expression is an objectively good thing simply because once a player is good enough that skill isn't a limiting factor, they effectively break the game. Case in point: Blight 2k winstreak.

How would I solve it? It'd be a vastly unpopular change for sure, but she needs to be reworked and lose parts of her identity. Its the only way, doesn't mean it'll happen though, since the chances of running into a good Nurse are very slim.

If we are going to balance with the idea that skill triumphs all, why do perks on the survivor side that only get value if you are skilled at the game get nerfed? The answer is because something taking skill doesn't make it balanced, to the point where BHVR flat out nukes or reworks a perk entirely.

This never seems to get applied to killer though.

Examples: Dead Hard, Made For This, Spine Chill, Flash Bangs, Cross Examination, CoH etc.

eruption, call of brine, pain res, pop, knock out, franklins etc. please know your history before you say its only ever one side.

WhaWhat is the criteria for a Survivor win streak because, you could play extremely selfish and always get hatch in theory.

x9 is a team so 3 out is required. But even so its crazy you think anyone is getting a 600 winstreak solo even if they rat for hatch lol.

  • @bubsrt said:

And x9 doing the first ever unrestricted survivor winstreak on their 3rd ever try is already at 600 wins in a row despite only starting during the fast track meta. If we are using winstreaks as a means to nerf things, then why did we not mention that??

    because that exposes the narrative.

Weird how survivors should never lose but if killers lose its a balancing issue 😓

Additionally, I don't see how Circle of Healing is overpowered if bad survivors will just get hit anyways and spend all game healing. Can you elaborate on this?

I don’t think anyone should have to elaborate on why old circle of healing was busted, you never needed a medkit or self care. Just 1 person with 1 boon and the whole team could bring toolboxes. Get hit run to boon and reset for free. A single perk should not give the whole team self care. But it wasn’t even just self care it was better than self care and made self care pointless.

even the most die hard survivor mains agreed coh was stupidly busted that needed changes.

  • @hxp said:

It's not even fun to watch him play. It's sooooo boring and unfair. It's not even that killer particularly. Even the event mode is so killer sided. Using poison outplays everything. BHVR: DO SOMETHING!!!! or survivors will leave and killer queue will be longer and longer

killer queue for me is 12 seconds on the event mode. If your losing in the busted survivor sided event its a mega skill issue.

Do you also believe Nurse shouldn't get changes due to only good players using her well?

i don’t think s tier killers should exist at all sorry but this is a bad gotcha. A and b tier is where killer balance should be. But hey jason is b maybe b+ so he’s fine.

  • @Wyndsor said:

Why do you think these survivor perks needed to get nerfed but at the same time believe Jason is in a fine state?

Because 1 person bringing a boon perk shouldn’t be a unlimited self care for everyone. And jason isn’t as unstoppable as you guys like to claim. Again he’s b tier at best. People said springtrap was busted and op at first too but now look where he is.

Henry also broken. Nobody plays him because it's obvious trash.

Let's take a look at the flip side of this… Hens, JRM, Ayrun and Otz are playing Survivor together. Look at which Killer has taken most of their Survivors out of their Hardcore challenge. These are public matches and they are some of the best players in the game.

that isn’t a fair comparison because they did hardcore when jason was new and fresh so he was in 90% of their games, of course jason got the most kills.

I assume you would be okay with old Dead Hard coming back and old Circle of Healing?

Hey man if you look in my post history you would see been accused of being a survivor main pretending to be killer main even though i’ve always stressed i play both sides about 50/50.

No i don’t think either of those should come back but i’ve also stressed in this thread that jason isn’t problematic on his own. Its this totem build which a lot of killer players use because its busted. Jason just happens to be the strongest user of it.

  • just saying again but balance should never be made because one of the best killer comp players are crushing pubs. At some point you guys just need to accept that hens is high level, this isn’t the first high winstreak he has had.

This anti-tuneel isn't overpowered, it just allows him to instantly kill the Surv and removes the ability to wound two at once. He can still wound with the spear, but the survivor isn't immune to the spear's damage, only to the spear getting stuck, so Jason can't kill him outright. and he doesn't have a normal hint, it would be really good if it worked on all floors and on all maps, because Jason can teleport across floors, and not all maps have that much grass

i think you miss understand what i meant, i don’t think he has an overpowered tunnel ability. In fact i still think there are way worse in the game. What i think needs to change is no killer powers should work at all within the anti camp zone, while anti camp is active and for 5 seconds after an unhook.

No bubba/billy chainsaws, no huntress/springtrap/jason/slinger/plague/trickster projectiles etc. if your going back to hook while anti camp is or recently in play you can only m1.

  • omnipresent evil should not have a cooldown, drcula’s batform doesn’t and neither does wraiths, he can’t hurt you in the form and there is a delay between how soon he can hit you after leaving his power. If you get hit its your fault for not positioning yourself properly.

His scrap piles are fine we do not him to have the same issues as huntress and trickster. Infact since we’re on this topic huntress dredge and trickster could use more locker placements - just keep them away from pallets and windows please.

No only crouching should keep you hidden any conspicuous action or movement should reveal you

the unhook protections you describe are too strong and can be weaponized since it is based on time. I say ALL killer powers should be disabled in anti camp range.

He has a subtle cue you just have to actually pay attention to your surroundings

coroners coffee is a bad addon anyway could make it make it worse won’t matter since it only helps if the survivors have put them selves in a bad position anyway

Deputies badge should be nerfed or out right changed it is busted

What are you on about, I'm literally asking you to tell me this killers downsides, not the downsides of my statements, because those are inarguably what his power does I didn't state exactly what they do or that they are overpowered, just there is a lot of them?

As a collective they are very very strong, that's very different

Anyways I've stated what I came to contribute, if peoples reply is just "its lies and omg killers need this" and that's it, then we are done here.

I don't want him nerfed into the ground, I literally think he could have somethings taken from him to make facing him less obnoxious, coz infact i do enjoy facing him and I do enjoy the counter play.

I've even stated this in other threads, on the other hand people like you who are defending him aimlessly are going to very disappointed if he does get nerfed and you'll move to the next OP killer, rinse and repeat.

a lot of what you posted was inaccurate. Or nonsense

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4095450#Comment_4095450

So all I can read is dismissal of facts

You havn't stated a downside at all, just trying to downplay everything I said which is more acknowledgement lol

Coroners coffee literally lets you move survivors out of position from the loop they are in, away from the pallet etc, or window… it's a win win for him.

The crouching takes about a second to kick in, you're expected to stay crouched for a while before it counters Jumpscare, you can't do it reactionary, especially on latency

Both of you are just replying to the points rather than making your own as to what downside he has, I'll keep asking: Tell me a downside?

you lied about his kit now are trying to get me to tell you the downside of your lies.

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4095438#Comment_4095438

I'm not inflating it in bad faith that's actually an honest mistake coz I'm not writing a hecking thesis for people like you, I'm literally listing what it does to show people like you… who are in fact the ones arguing in bad faith by dismissing with no valid points other than "Plz no nerf he makes me feel good".

Post me some clips of where he doesn't do well, tell me what he doesn't do well, tell me his weaknesses. If you want to make an arguement, make some points please.

i’ve been giving advice its just doesn’t result in “nerfs” so you dont want to hear it.

Like you say he shouldn’t know you’re in a locker but that is just how killer instinct works for any form of it.

You also say he should have stronger anti camp protection like other killers when his is already stronger than theirs. Try actually playing him and using his power at hook.

coroners coffee gives him 13% haste with hook spikes but it’s only for 3 seconds but you throw the survivors even further by 25% so unless you’re already in a bad spot there is no value

Hook spikes do not give perma aura reading its temporary - why even lie about this?

Hook spikes having a mini blood warden is an addon you fail to mention, also pinning someone to the wall is bugged where jason can’t grab the survivor which gives the survivor a free escape.

    Reloading isn’t instant another lie.

Reloading giving undetectable is an addon

killer instinct and scream from oe - crouch you have the most brain dead simple and free counterplay stop whining

The ability to change elevations - true and guess what actually is bugged right now frequently putting you on the wrong elevation in the wrong spot.

Deny pallet/ window - every ranged killer has this why would it be any different if you haven’t learned how to counter this by now you’re doomed.

I know i didn’t bother addrssing everything but that is mainly after fully intending to chop your list apart i noticed how bloated with complete nonsense it is actually wild you thought they were worth including. Again i can only assume it was to bloat the list to argue in bad faith.

  • @Rogue11 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4095431#Comment_4095431

If you can't play a killer without all the information in the world constantly handed to you, and refuse to use perks to augment that weakness, its understandable why you're against balancing him.

one could argue the same about you survivors wanting to nerf him because you fail to use his counters right.

  • i did read, you mentioned things like getting undetectable from grabbing a hook spike but failed to mention it requires an addons. It was the only instance.

Why would you do that for some but not all if you weren’t trying to inflate his toolkit to argue in bad faith. Which you are.

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

Every killer doesnt need what Jason has, "good snowball potential" is awful design on either side. You lost me there, that makes the game unforgiving, very unforgiving.

The First is actually pretty balanced now, he doesn't interact with the map at all… he shouldn't have a power which is incredibly spammy and oppressive. I see him often enough and he still does fine.

Jason can be nerfed so he isn't the answer to everything like he is currently, Let's see what he gets from Omni present evil:
-Stealth to creep up on survivors
    -Information on survivor interactions
-Information on locker hidden survivors (Bullshit and needs removed)
-Gen regression on ALREADY REGRESSING GENS with an addon and also create overcharge like skill check with this same addon
    -The ability to fix hooks
    -The ability to reload
-The ability to change elevations (correct me if I'm wrong here coz I can't test this, but I'm sure he can in midwhich, which is a huge advantage if true)
-The ability to deny a pallet or a window (IDC if its short, it's zoning and it is effective)
    -Haste upon exiting
-Killer instinct upon exiting and screaming to find where they are
-The ability to Exhaust with an addon
-The ability to injure with his husk if a survivor is unsuspecting of what it does
-The ability to reveal survivors upon reloading at a hook with an addon

    —-^This is on a 12s CD btw

This isn't even going into what he can do with his spikes:
-He can move at basically 115 out of OE which allows him to zone with a ranged projectile which instantly deals damage and puts survivors out of position
-Hook spikes give him perma aura reading
-Hook Spikes give him 10 percent hindered if the survivor tries to remove it
-Hook Spikes make his slugging MUCH stronger
    -Hook Spikes give him Mori's
-Hook Spikes can give him 13 percent haste
-Hook Spikes make survivors scream with addons (Particularly bs on hex builds)
-Hook Spikes reveal auras with addons
-Hook spikes punish body blocking with the ability to injure 2 survivors.
-Hook spikes can deny an entire team from exiting if a survivor is pinned
-Hook spikes can deny healing and give great pressure for that
    -Reloading is instant
-Reloading a hook spike can give him undetectable
-Great tunnel potential because he can put a survivor into deep wound from a spike and they have to remove it, read the above, information on the tunneled survivor and a hinder potentially is awful
-Anti camp needs to deny him all teleport points by the hook at this point, like every other killer with this sort of denial

I could probably list more and more, especially perk synergy, but if you can't call this and overloaded toolkit thats basically on the levels of skully getting ######### for free, his spike hitboxes are massive, I'm gonna edit this to give you a video example, but the environment collision is small.

If you're new to live service games and call this balanced and not power crept, you're naive. I think everyone defending him rn is tonedeaf, I gave him a fair chance, but considering this is his early days and he is this effective… yeah no, his players are only going to get better.

when most of that list depends on addons and you can only run 2 at a time it falls apart.

When the rest is based on half truths trying to push a false narrative it falls even more apart.

Wow its crazy how Spirit, Demo, Freddy, Sadako, Springtrap, etc., are able to lose auras briefly while teleporting and still easily track and start a chase with another survivor quickly, but Jason players….can't.

Lmfao yeah its clear that you haven’t played jason. As a dracula main, former demo main, springtrap dabbler, you don’t have a clue in what your talking about, dracula’s bat form is quicker with no restrictions and very little delay. Demo’s killer instinct and xeno’s killer instinct is stronger and can’t be punished like jason’s can.

Or just use your game sense to predict what gens survivors would be working on. You know, like most every other killer on the roster.

oe turns off aura the milisecond you go into power. Once again play the killer before you even think about thinking about balance. Its clear so many people in this topic haven’t played as him a singular time.

the scream goes off no matter what I believe if your within 3m, but the rest shouldn't. Might be wrong on that, don't quote me.

I agree, I also don't want every aspect of his power nerfed, I was just pointing out that one of the nerfs you were asking for was a bit much, and would essentially make a part of his kit useless, which would mean other parts would need to be buffed to compensate at which point we get another ranged killer with an insane ranged attack and has some form of mobility (although itd be near useless if you couldn't see stuff)

And OE already gets limited information, you can crouch to remove any and all information it gives, and allows you to choose which survivor he goes after (which no other killer does btw). Doing either of these makes the power useless because either theres no downside to survivors just stopping everything and he loses power (making it useless) or he gets no info in his power (making it useless)

That is the thing that grinds my gears. Survivors have a great method of preventing tunneling by jason by controling who jason finds in oe but they just don’t see the vision. It just hurts reading the oe complaints because they’re borderline stupid. I just don’t understand this community.

Then they have the audacity to say well oe is busted because of ruin + thrill but when i point out other killers are just as busted with that perk combo or even more busted and that combo is the real issue i get downvoted because of the lack of critical thinking.

This community deserves the game it gets at this point.

It's less that its impressive and more that these winstreaks are evidence to suggest that on average, a competent killer can win the majority or in some cases all of their games, no matter what killer or set up they're running.

This contradicts many of the arguments on this forum that killers are in a dire state.

some killers are in dire states that can’t be argued. As i’ve said in this topic several times what this streak and hen’s vecna streak clearly has shown though ruin + thrill are a problem. Even more so on the most oppressive killers and definitely require changes.

I don’t think we should be talking about nerfing killers based on how they perform using busted perk combos.

In the hands of a good player Jason can easily get downs within 30 seconds of appearing, especially against the average DbD player today. So I really don't get what you're on about.

just because survivors are bad doesn’t negate there is a delay where jason can’t m1 or raise his spear coming out of the omni.

  • the nerfs were necessary what are you talking about. Ghoul still gets bs hits they don’t deserve too hopefully one day bhvr will learn that people can’t get bitten through walls and on different floors.

Well Jason can appear out of nowhere right next to a survivor on most generators, get a quick M1 and follow up with a quick spear. Often he can get a down in less than 10 seconds and I bet Hens does that often. After that then only a maximum of 2 gens get worked on while Ruin does its work.

It's the same old routine in DbD discussion when something needs a nerf, people call for nerfs and other people counter with "Just do X!" It's never that simple.

I think Jason needs better telegraphing on where he was while he is using Omnipresent Evil. Something like if he is within 24-32m of a survivor the fog changes in some manner. He shouldn't be able to pressure the entire map with an ability that never goes on cooldown, that's why he's such an excellent pub stomper.

Jason can’t do anything quickly coming out of omni. He has a delay, you have more than ample amount of time to get away unless you opt to greed. Further you can see foliage move around him.
