Huntress top tier, together with Spirit, Billy and Nurse ? Dude, she's dead without Ruin. And I heavily disagree with Plague being low tier.
-
I see Plague being put over Myers in a lot of tier lists and I definitely agree with that statement. I think people don't play her too often because she becomes a M1 killer with instant downs if survivors don't cleanse and her emblems and BP gain tend to be pretty bad. But I started to see a lot of high ranks survivors cleansing like crazy lately, so the no cleanse meta seems to be pretty much gone in my experience.

Yeah Huntress is also kinda map dependent but I think a good Huntress can do much better than a Hag because her power isn't countered by a stupid item or crouching.
Crouching at loops counters her hatchets.

I perform great as Ghostie, I love him! Leave him alone or I will curse you with 1,000 Insidiousface games!
Ugh, ok ? But what I said is still true.

I don't think Ghostie Boi is add-on reliant. Fight me 👊.
Ghost Face has a 30 seconds cooldown on a very buggy power. Being a M1 killer for such long time makes you very vulnerable to gens speed.

Not really sure because her power is countered very very easily. And Plague really depends on survivors cleansing or not.
The same can be said about Huntress. Also, I saw a lot of survivors cleansing lately, even in red ranks.
-
I would put Hag a tier higher and switch Huntress and Plague.

Dying Light is kinda trash. Not worth running in my opinion.

Well then, I would swap the killers from A with the killer from S.
-
I personally would put the A tier above Strong tier and Nurse instead of Ghost Face there.
-
B+ ? I can give him a C- at best.

No Mither is the best from the worst perks, it's very good in a gen rush build.

his bottles do still do work, and yeah clowns add-ons are great at all tbh and thats why plague ends up being better. my main issue with add-ons is the cost, sure you say average game is yellow and green which is 9k BP which isnt much but when you look into the amount of BP used to obtain those add-ons you use then it becomes more of an issue, im sure we all have our favorite add-ons and ones we hate and never use, but you still need to buy the ones you hate to get to the ones you like and doing this for all killers gets very costly indeed. i guess this is why im so for the ability to sell items/add-ons at reduced BP
No, his bottles are legit useless without add-ons, because he slows himself down after throwing a bottle, which cancels the slow from his bottles. So the hits you got with your bottles, you would've got them anyway. Also, his base reload time is awful and he has nothing else to help him outside of a chase. I really don't see how Plague could be more add-on reliant than him.
-
Clown legit has no power without add-ons. I take default Plague over Clown with perks and add-ons IMO. And Plague is good even with just yellow and green add-ons. And you usually are gonna use these types of add-ons on every killer.
-
They aren't gone, but they are definitely bugged to some extend. Dying survivors making no sounds, no footsteps sounds during a chase and Stridor not affecting Iron Will are the most common ones I see.
-
Builds : Pop, Surveillance, Monitor and Abuse and A Nurse's Calling.
State : good at getting pips and bad at getting kills.

Most players dont enjoy a camping based playstyle. Tastes differ, but if hag couldnt trap hooks, i'd play her a lot more, she is a very interesting character. Ruined by her hard-to-counter camping powers. And her natural strength vs solos compared to getting hardcountered vs swfs. Such an oddball, but her playstyle of trapping the map and turning it into her swamp and territory is really cool. But teleporting and protecting hooks ruins it for me. Its too devastating against solos
Just don't trap hooks, nobody is forcing you to do so if you don't want.
-
He was very lucky to get Lery's, which is arguably the best map for Spies. On most maps, you might not even get use out of Spies even once. And his build was kinda bad, not gonna lie.

Huntress is far superior than hag. And I can show it to you
Yeah, show me how she gets looped for entire minutes on maps with tons of high walls loops like Cowshed or Family Residence or how she gets infinited looped on the super safe buildings from Disturbed Ward or Grim Pantry.

I believe the guy that DC'd was on death hook as they dc'd after getting downed towards mid game. As for Ruin helping mostly against survivors that would have lost anyways: I TOTALLY AGREE. In fact that's what I said numerous times myself. You just notice it too often that people who run around like headless chickens because of Ruin are the same people that go down in seconds.
So by your logic Ruin change was not necessary because people who lost because of it would've lost anyway. By your logic, Ruin should've been buffed, so it has more impact against good survivors.

Thanks for that list. I personally dont have any bugs you mentioned there, idk maybe you play on console? But I have to agree that the "arc" throw of the bottles are pretty annoying sometimes and hinders the clown more than benefits him. He should get more bottles as baseline and a faster reload as basekit. His "HUH" while he vault is fine, I find that pretty funny and thats a meme from me and a friend :D It isnt that bad honestly.
I personally think that the extra slow bottles should be baseline too, since a gad cloud should hinder survivors more than a blood pool on the ground for my opinion. You should be longer effected by the toxin too. So to sum it up:
-Increase Reload speed to the brown addon as baseline
-Increase amount of Bottles to 6
-Reduce the arc throw by 50%
-Increase bottle fly speed
-Toxification from 2sec should be increased to 3 sec.
-Flask of Bleach as basekit
Also as I mentioned. A map travel ability or a ability to occupie survivors somehow. My idea with the throw up bottles or a bottle that you can drink to increase your movementspeed ALOT but you cant hit in that duration.
You are suggesting pretty heavy buffs there, so Clown is in fact weak if even you acknowledged how much love he needs.

The nerfs to Freddy were actually very minimal. I went from 4k 5 gens most games to 4k 4/3 gens. Survivors get more done now yes, but the difference is moot when they all still die long before the gates power.
And yea there are anomalies, but the same could be said about Hag's stats. So at the end of the day there are inferences you can draw about the strength of the killers. Nurse has a low kill rate because she is very difficult to use. Freddy is much easier to use. Hag is harder to use, but I don't see how she can apply more pressure than Freddy in the average match. She is a very strong defensive character, where Freddy is a very strong offensive character, and generally speaking offensive style characters tend to be stronger at the highest levels because you can actively win the game, where defensive style characters are more passive. Being more passive means there is more room to counter play because the other side can move at their own pace. Against offensive style characters this isn't an option, you play at the pace set by that character.
Sorry but nothing you say is going to convince me Hag is stronger than Freddy. She is a good killer no doubt but Freddy has more tools and is more effective at what he does, with fewer counter options and less room to make mistakes.
Your arguments also didn't convince me neither. Especially because most of your arguments were flawed.
-
@thesuicidefox said:

Yet Freddy has the highest kill rate across all ranks and the highest kill rate at red ranks. Hag merely has the highest kill rate to pick rate ratio. The stats contradict your arguments. And the difference is significant enough to say that Freddy is clearly a superior killer.
If we are going by the stats, Nurse is the weakest killer in the game and she should be heavily buffed. Stats include : red rank killers playing against lower ranks survivors, survivors suiciding on hooks, survivors being overly altruistic in end game and getting killed only because of that and they don't include killer and survivors set up nor their skill level. These stats also are before Freddy's add-ons were nerfed, when most people were giving up against "Forever Freddy" builds and thus busting his kill rate. So these stats don't hold water and I don't take them into account in tier lists.

But Huntress can potentially get hits/downs from across the map, and she can cut short loops on the first go around. Yea Huntress is hurt by certain loops but she also has insane pressure on groups of survivors. Catch them making a basement save and you can easily just eat through BT and down everyone really fast. They each have advantages and disadvantages. Like I said it's close.
Freddy is not close though, he is far above Hag. I'm not the only one who shares this opinion, I asked a few friends that have +4k hours and are really good survivors. They agree that Freddy is top 3 at least, if not the best killer potentially. He is insanely strong. Maybe you underrate him because he has literally all the tools needed to control the game. Like Freddy with Pop alone is stronger than half of the other killers.
Fact is Hag is not top 3. She is strong but not stronger than the best killers (Nurse, Spirit, Freddy).
Long range hatchets are situational and can be easily countered by aware survivors.
Hag can cut any loop in the game with her traps. There are loops that Huntress simply can't contest.
Hag also has a very strong basement and on top of that, she has better anti loop, map pressure and perk synergy. She outclasses Huntress in almost every aspect.
I am in a Discord with players with thousands hours in the game and all of them agree that Hag is better than Freddy. So your argument about your friends is irrelevant.

Nah, Hag will suffer. Unlike the other 3, she needs time to set-up her web of traps.
Her set up game time is better than Trapper's set up time and even without Ruin, she still can snowball in mid or late game better than other killers.
-
All killers will suffer. The ones that will suffer the least are the top 4 killers ( Spirit, Nurse, Billy, Hag ), while someone like Huntress will definitely suffer a lot, because she is a slow killer who already has bad perk synergy.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
Hag a good killer? Sure.
Hag the best killer? No. Not even close.
Spirit, Nurse and Freddy all have her beat very clearly. Billy and Huntress also but to a lesser degree.
Spirit and Nurse completely dominate in a chase. Hag has to set a trap to win a chase and survivors can just run to another loop. They can also bait her to teleport. Unlike Spirit/Nurse she is still a 110 killer with no way to actually go faster.
Freddy also dominates in a chase with snares and he is 115. He also has a teleport that is superior to Hag's, built in Oblivious, and optional slow down with add-ons. There is no way you can convince me Hag is better than Freddy. He is probably the most dominate killer in the game, even better than Nurse/Spirit all things considered.
Billy is better than Hag. Built in one shot and the ability to sprint around the map faster. Plus he is 115.
Huntress has ranged attacks. That automatically makes her WAY better in chases. Hag has her beat in map pressure. It's very close between the two but I think Huntress edges out Hag ever so slightly.
Hag's major weakness is set up time. Like Trapper she needs to set up traps or else she is powerless. AND her power is hard countered by flashlights and soft countered by crouching. What other killer I mentioned has such counters? None of them. The closest thing is Iron Will against Spirit but that's not a full on hard counter since she can still track you by other means or use Stridor. Hag has nothing to really counter flashlights except Franklin's but that's only going to work if she hits you.
Huntress ? The simple fact Hag doesn't get infinited while she does makes Hag much more superior to her. And her range attack is very hindered by map design. And you really overrate Freddy.
-
She's top 4 for sure, but idk if she's really the best. OoO still screws her over more than flashlights alone could ever do.

I mean, I'm pretty sure a lot of killers have been using NOED/Blood warden before they announced Ruin changes. And I'll be honest, new ruin is actually kind of nice. Plus, most games it would get destroyed right away while it was the old ruin. Honestly, I wouldn't even run NOED seeing as the survivors can cleanse all your totems so when end game does come, you don't have it
I rarely see high ranks killers using NOED and I don't even remember the last time someone used Blood Warden.
-
They don't make only survivor sided changes, but you can't ignore that the last patch notes were incredibly survivor biased and that was a hard hit for many killer players. Plus, devs didn't even said something like : "We nerf Ruin now, but we'll keep monitoring gen speeds, to see if they need changes as well" or "We are gonna reduce some maps in size, so patrolling gens can actually be a thing". They just threw this Ruin nerf and then call it a day.

Isn't that the idea behind the perk? Force the Survivors into a smaller section/selection of generators so you can have an easier time going after them?
Also, regarding how CI only lasts two minutes, I think an argument can be made it's a RELIABLE 2 minutes. Nobody's going to find the Hex Totem near instantly and get rid of it, which is a complaint I often see lobbed at Hex perks. Corrupt Intervention works for its time limit, which you can take advantage of without worrying about losing the effect early. Granted, there's the flip side of that of a Totem not getting cleansed and giving you its effect all game, so it's on the killer if reliable early pressure beats potentially longer but less certain pressure.
Except that the killer can still chase only 1 survivor at a time, while the other 3 do gens without any penalty, plus, Corrupt Intervention most of the time makes survivors spread out, which usually guarantees you a bad gen set up in late game.
-
Very weak without Enduring and even with Enduring it isn't too amazing. On some maps, even the EndFury combo isn't enough to stop survivors from reaching a pallet or window.
-
Nemesis, PWYF, Pop, NOED/Monitor and Abuse/Surveillance with Pinky Finger and extra bottles add-ons. This is the only build that makes Clown not complete garbage.
-
Zanshin Tactics by far. Tho a lot of perks are useless/very situational.
-
BBQ, A Nurse's Calling, Sloppy Butcher and Monitor and Abuse.
Infectious Fright, Deerstalker, A Nurse's Calling, Sloppy Butcher.
BBQ, Pop, Surveillance, I'm All Ears.
As add-ons, you should use double recharge time add-ons or 1 recharge time and 1 range add-on.

-

-
I said it once and I will say it again, Corrupt is overrated and it does nothing to slow down the gens, it just makes people move from the corrupted gens to the unaffected ones.
-
Most people didn't even think that he is good.
-
I never see anyone using Premonition. And Spine Chill is better.
-
They didn't rework Disturbed Ward when they "reworked" Nurse, so what makes you think they will do different with Billy and Coldwind Farm maps ?
-
Plague is much, much better power wise and they are kinda equal perk wise. So I'd go with Plague.
-
I think that might be a bug, if I'm not wrong, devs said Pop and Surge shouldn't stack.
-
Yes, he needs buffs and needs them badly. Starting with all of his traps could be a good start.

Well, untill I see the new Doctor with all his final changes, I can't say if he's weaker or stronger. But on PTB, he really didn't look stronger.

SMH it's really not.
When 1 person is injured it won't do much.
When all 4 are injured it will slow down the game A LOT.
I don't get why people sleep on Thana. It is really effective when everyone is injured.
Also you can repair through anything, even current Ruin. So I don't get what point you are trying to make honestly. The idea is to slow them down to give you more time as killer, either by forcing them to heal or actually slowing gen progress. It's not supposed to outright stop them. NOTHING can outright stop them.
It's still garbage and a placebo effect most of the time. And when it gets value, if it gets value, it's probably too late and you can still easily counter it with a toolbox or medkit.
-
Good survivors will just spread out and do the middle gens first, probably even avoiding a 3 gen strat because of your "wonderful" perk.
-
@thesuicidefox said:

Spirit and Ghostface I found to be the most effective. Legion and Plague only need Thana because survivors don't heal against them anyway. I don't play Wraith or Myers but yea it's good for them too.
I also found it effective on Trapper, Nurse, and Clown.
What ends up happening is that survivors start healing to get rid of Thana but then because of Sloppy it takes a lot of time to heal. Once you get them sucked into that healing vortex you can keep them busy for a while and off gens. If they decide to forgo healing for gens, well they are slowed down by Thana. It's a catch 22; either spend a lot of time healing or spend a lot of time doing gens.
Thana is mostly a placebo effect, so they can still easily repair though it.
