We don't discuss bans on the forum as you said you've contacted Support - so it's just a matter of waiting for them to reply to you.

We cannot do anything that is outside of the game, all we can do is act on what happens inside the game, if things are reported to us. Reports can be made (with evidence) to support for in game issues: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us For a sustained harassment report - we would need to see multiple evidence of this as quite naturally we need sufficient evidence before taking action against a player.
For things that happen outside of the game, it would be up to the relevant platform to deal with if it breaks their TOS - sadly, we are unable to be involved in that.
I'm sorry that your friend is having this trouble and I hope it's something that can be sorted out.

I'm not one for sharing too much about myself but here goes: I've got a teenage son who's naturally obsessed by video games and wants to become a games developer himself. I work as a fitness instructor and personal trainer and then as a Community Co-ordinator for BHVR on top of that plus I mod for a couple of our Fog Whisperers on their Twitch channels. I have a crazy dog who's half Rottweiler and half Labrador - he's rather large and getting old now though :(
Always played games, board games then PC Games with a bit of console thrown in - a bit of a tech nerd and love building computers. I hate cold weather and rain with a passion (not ideal when you live in the UK), am obsessed with travelling and find staying in one place difficult and have travelled a lot in life.
Really loved playing the old Tomb Raider games, which were the ones that probably got me into gaming the most am not much of an FPS player cos I have really bad aim! Favourite console game is Heavy Rain, I absolutely loved that game. I tend to enjoy a lot of story based games though.

If a post doesn't fall into one of those categories, or is a duplicate, it will be deleted (we often just close duplicates, but in some instances we will delete due to the voting system, because votes on a duplicate don't count and we don't want people to miss the opportunity to vote on a question that they want answered).

@PigNRun I haven't had a generator spawn there in ages either! I always used to get one, but recently no.
Back to the original post, I used to see a generator spawn there a lot when that map initially came out, it's been a very rare spawn for me recently though, I've seen it once or twice but that's about it.

We don't tend to advise people what action we have taken against an individual. But I can assure you that all reports are read and action is taken if something untoward has occured.

I'm most probably going to stick to BBQ, I can't not play with it - the satisfaction (and extra BP) of getting 4 stacks is just too much for me.
I think the balance of when to hook someone and when to cage them will still make BBQ and other hook related perks be beneficial plus of course you are not always going to be able to cage someone, only when they are in the tormented state.

I take issue with the term "stolen" and I will remind you to stay respectful on this forum @Shortyblatt66 nothing has been stolen, this is a live game and subject to change at any time - that's always been part of the EULA. Servers are being worked on, but a lot is down to an individuals internet connection as well. No matter how good the server is, if someone has poor internet connection they are going to suffer lag/latency etc in the game - that's something that is out of our control.

If you see anything you feel is untoward in game, please make an in game report and send the video evidence to Support : https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us . IF someone is caught cheating, yes they are banned, no we will not ban an entire Country from playing because of a few players who want to cheat.
There will always be cheats in game, people who want to get an advantage - our system will be buffed to find them, then they will find new cheats - that's unfortunately the cycle of all games of this nature.

From the description you made it sounds fine to post here. It's the excessive blood/gore that we would have an issue with as a team. I suggest marking it as a spoiler with a disclaimer - that gives people the option to pass it by and to please upload to the creations category.

Are that all the exclusives, because if that are all the things I can't get maybe I'll live through it :). But it's such a bummer for me that it's not possible to collect everything. I love DBD and I hope that in the future is possible to get some of the exclusive stuff.
The items I listed won't become available again, they are restricted for want of a better word and are unable to be released.
There are an absolute ton of cosmetics for characters in this game though, the store is pretty full and there's a huge variety of items.

There's a few items that aren't able to be achieved through grind. There's a Dwight shirt that was only purchasable with an item from the store, there's obviously Legacy for the original characters, some event only cosmetics, another Dwight shirt that never made it into the game that only Devs have access to, plus the Nea Crew shirt - again this is staff only. There's also some Streamer skins that were not included in the Charity Pack - Ohmwrecker, H20 Delirius, Bryce - I believe those 3 have skins that they do not give out codes for, and also there's a Dia Hype Shirt that I think is purchasable from Dia but I don't know if he's still doing that.

Our official line on this, is that anything you change is done at your own risk. Whilst EAC might not check those files today, there's no saying whether those files will get flagged in the future. And whilst we don't actively ban people for this, if you get an automatic ban from EAC we cannot unban you.

I'm closing this because I see absolutely no need to keep this thread going, everything that needs to be said has been said.
Death threats etc have no place in the game, they should be reported and I find it sad that some people won't report because "they want to play them again" despite the fact that these type of people need to be reported. Then we get complaints "reports do nothing" - which is completely false, it's just sad people would rather spend the time making a forum post rather than do the correct thing of reporting.

The issue with this, we have no way of knowing what game time people have - there's no way to tie up your game account with the forum account basically. And whilst I would love this function because from a moderation point of view it would mean dealing with spam/troll accounts a lot easier, I don't think it's anything we will be able to implement for the time being.

I would say, yes please report it. It's enough that I would be concerned about what that person was saying in after game chat and would want that to be looked at.

Whilst I appreciate it's frustrating, if you've not had chance to play the game - at least send the screenshots to Support to report these players. We should still be able to check their chat logs, even pre game.

The reason people dropped SC was due to healing speed nerfs.
At release, SC healed as fast as normal heal from other survivor. It took 6 seconds to fully heal with a self care (it was also affected by we will make it back then, thus you could do it in 3 seconds. AFAIK medikit addons also boosted SC, even though you didnt use medikit directly but just carried it).
It was then nerfed with % penalty.
Not sure if overall healing went from 6 to 8 first, then to 12 later on, doesnt matter. SC at first was meta, it was still meta when it took 12 or 16 seconds to heal (20 or so with mangled/sloppy), it was further nerfed by global healing nerf up to what we currently have, where it takes 1/3 of a full gne repair time to fully heal yourself with an SC without any speed perks/buffs.

It's not a bad perk per se, there's just better perks to use. The time you're taking to heal is detrimental to the team as a whole - when I play killer, I love if survivors run self care because then I know they're not doing gens and are giving me more time (which is the thing that you are pressurised with when playing killer). I run Inner Strength sometimes or rely on my team mates to heal me, find medkits etc
Most people ran self care for the longest time, it was pretty much a staple perk back in the day but once the healing changes went through I think most of us realised how much time we were wasting by self caring.

I change my perks around a lot anyway, depending on how I feel like playing that particular match - so I can't really see me changing my perks for one specific killer. I can't imagine not playing without my beloved Head On & Quick n Quiet, I change out the other two regularly though, currently collecting items so am plundering like crazy.

Farming is something we frown upon as as a rule. It's also something that is reportable in game especially if you are forcing players to farm against their will.
Speaking as a player, it's incredibly boring to be stuck in a farming match!

Yes that's fine for Artwork Contests - it's only the in-game cosmetic contests that it was restricted for, for obvious reasons.

Just because some people blamed AA for that, does not mean that they were correct, and no I'm definitely not going to show off video's of people cheating in the game!
The files were blocked at that time and as I said the ability to switch off AA was just a side effect, we were unable to implement it any differently at the time.

Anti Aliasing wasn't locked due to it giving an advantage to some over others. That section was locked because people were able to make adjustments to files in that section that DID give an in game advantage and unfortunately the whole section had to be locked and the side effect of that was that people couldn't switch AA off.

Head On is definitely working as intended, I use it in every single match. The timing of it is the most important thing but latency does play a part, due to the killer having priority to the server right now so things might not be exactly as they appear on the screen, but you can usually tell if there's a lot of latency at a start of a match so I do my Head On stuns slightly earlier than I normally would to compensate for that...seems to work for me.
I think it's a case of practice getting Head On stuns with the timing, rather than blame a perk for not working - same with flashlight saves and pallet saves, it's all about the timing and it does take practice.

The Trusted tag is give to regular forum users who we've found give helpful advice on the forums and people that remain civil.
It doesn't mean they are above the rules etc, they have to follow the forum rules the same way everyone else does. It hopefully shows that they have game knowledge and can assist other posters as and when required.
And no, they don't know where the donut stash is!

I think it would be fine to have some sort of Community favourite category, that was purely for the bragging rights, due to how easy it is to manipulate voting. But when things like Auric Cells are being given out, I do think it should be a BHVR only vote because at the end of the day, the winning entry is representative of the game at that point.
Arranging the community to vote is not that easy, it can't be done here on the forum because people have a tendency to make alternate accounts etc and then it's just making a mockery of the competition.
For competitions such as the recent In Game cosmetic, it should be totally judged by BHVR because they know what they can put into the game, what can be done, what will work etc and at the end of the day, it is their game and they should have final say of what goes into it.

@saranghei no the answer isn't lacking and missing the point, the question was will there be another chance at getting Legacy Prestige again and I've answered and explained that no, there's no more Legacy as it was a one time thing that is not returning.

No Hex Huntress Lullaby doesn't work on the cage skill checks neither does Unnerving Presence, this is by design.

Your reward for doing an adept achievement is getting the achievement, it doesn't require a further reward. Please read what I said about Legacy not returning to the game.

No @GreenPufferFish as I said, Legacy is not coming back. The closest we have is Hallowed Blight and who knows there might be similar skins like the Hallowed Blight ones in the future, but they will not be Legacy.
