yeah it's not meant to be days I'm afraid, its meant to show the hours. :( sorry to be the bearer of bad news
-
If that's happening, you're starting the blind too early, so the killer is still locked in animation when the blind goes through.
It's instinct for me at this point and of course a lot depends on what addons you have on the flashlight. This video gives a good guide as to when you need to start the blind (normally when the survivor is at around waist height on the killer, more or less :) )

For the release tomorrow the Live Changes will be as they were in the PTB - however, there will be space in the hotfixes that follow to make changes to those live balance adjustments. We need the feedback on them once they are live.

Is it possible to limit new accounts to only being able to comment for the first 30-60 days and not start new threads? Or maybe maybe make it to where they have to make 100 comments before they can make a thread? Anything to slow them down a little.
then we'd have problems for bug reporting and feedback, we don't want to limit people being able to report things.

A review is not necessary. Maybe just a couple of days, where they can only post on already existing topics before they can create their own posts.
This might help in reducing the amount of similar posts that get created (by whoever). The time/test period takes a bit of the energy put of their, sometimes radical, approach and makes them reflect on other posts and therefore think about what they want to do and how to do it before they create their own posts.
Unfortunately that's not something that can be implemented - we're guided by the software in cases like these.

If you guys aren't aware, there's one dude, yes, just one dude, creating a ton of burner accounts on here demanding an Arab server. And he mostly did this over the weekend, so there definitely needs to be some restrictions on new accounts.
Actually that's false, it's not one person - please do not assume.
We cannot restrict new accounts from being made and posting - reviewing each account before allowing a post to be made is not feasible, nor would it help given a lot of accounts are not connected to any other accounts.
Unfortunately we will always have people who make very random posts, some of those are genuine however, and immediately calling people trolls or alts for accounts that you think are not relevant or spammy isn't the way to go. If something breaks the rules, then please report it. We have moderators covering the weekends, if there's reports made they will deal with them.

The DC penalty cannot be appealed as it's an automatic system that's doing what it was designed to do - if you've quit a game for any reason, this penalty will give you the chance to cool off before ruining another match for the 4 other people playing.
Whilst I understand the frustration if the reason that you've been disconnected is due to your hardware issues, the penalty will give you time to sort out what problems that you're having with your set-up without spoiling the matches for the other players.
-
A lot of this is due to FOV, if you've increased your FOV you also increase the angle that you can be blinded by.

I was in 1v4, and I'm pretty sure a map offering wasn't used (not certain, though, I could be wrong), different killers each time. Do the variations count as separate maps in terms of the repeat prevention?
Thanks for checking it out either way, appreciate it.
yes the variations will count as different maps, which might be what you've experienced
-
Have just checked in on this, no map repeat prevention is working exactly as it should. It doesn't prevent going to a map if an offering is used and it's naturally not switched on for 2v8 so it's only on the base game, but there shouldn't be any instance of going to the same map back to back (unless an offering was used), you can of course go to the same realm, and it's quite possible to have that back to back.

Reporting bugs should never be a complex procedure.
The moderators should provide the points that your bug-report is missing before declining\locking it. Give a chance to put it into the bug-report.
And every report should be treated equally, no matter who posted this report and no matter which mod was working on it.
It's highly disrespectful of player's time and effort and straight up discriminative behavior.
There is no discrimatory behaviour at all with bug reporting or with any part of the moderation of this forum.
Whilst I understand the concerns regarding bug reports, unfortunately previous reporting was missing vital information that took longer to get from players, meaning that we were unable to ascertain what the main issue was. Hence we now have the reported formula - for 99% of bugs this information is essential to our QA in order for them to pinpoint where the issue lies.
-
Without even mentioning the balancing issues that would need to happen in that mode - killers would have to be heavily nerfed for it to be remotely balanced, which is not fun to play. It actually will just move the queue problem to the other side, it wouldn't solve the problem.

Holding people after spearing them just for an immediate double tap and insta down seems like this is not something that was play tested.
Spear someone, hold them, wait for huntress to snipe the stationary target, immediately hit them, profit.
I get that people will have different opinions on whether or not double teaming like this is enjoyable or whether it should be encouraged, or even a strong strategy, but personally it just feels very dull to be on the other side of and not well thought out.
I will say, this was partly a bug that we fixed earlier today. If Huntress (or any other killer), hits a survivor who's chained, that chain will instantly break to give the survivor a chance to get away. Unfortunately there was a bug that allowed the killers M2 to hit the chained survivor without causing the chain to break :( this was something we addressed today (it didn't require a download so don't worry, you didn't miss it, it's all done on our side).

love this, thank you for taking the time to make it. Pinning it for visibility <3

For shame, Mandy. I swear, a thread can't allude to two extremely buff serial killer monster creatures tying cute ribbons on each others' horns and doing ring tosses without SOMEONE coming in and making it weird. 😡
buff you say…🤫

"clean thoughts plz" I'm really not sure you're going to get that.

Then definitely look why your PC is trying to load the Intel GPU - as that's an intel gpu driver file.
-
Temporary Bans are not able to be appealed with Player Support and I'm afraid we're unable to assist any further.
You can find more information regarding bans and their reasons as well as the lengths of the bans from our Knowledge Base on this forum:

according to the devs, 2v8 is effectively in an open beta state while they work out all the kinks and take all the time and player feedback they can to make the mode the best it can be once they do make it permament.
That's not exactly what we've said. We have confirmed that there's more iterations, adding in more killers each time etc. As that takes a lot of balancing and resources…we've not confirmed at all that this will be made permanent at any time.
-
I'd update your Intel graphic drivers, although please be aware that we don't officially support Intel GPU's so please be sure that your hardware meets the minimum system requirements to run the game.
-
Okay, I edited the Developer Update to reflect the correct numbers, it should be:
5% per gen completed and 2.5% for each cage state. Sorry about that.
-
Player Support is a separate team that has no connection with this Forum, also Mat Cote has nothing to do with Player Support!
There's also no bots working within Player Support, all tickets are reviewed by a human being, at least one of the team members on the support team.
-
Am double checking the numbers on this, as we might have made some changes to the 1% after playtesting. Will be able to confirm after lunch.
-
If you notice the Killer had Corrupt Intervention, meaning the generators were blocked - the perk cannot work through blocked generators, which is by design.

No they are not actionable reports - we do not ban for camping, tunneling or slugging.
They are there, because regardless of whether they are part of the report system or not, players will report them. It enables us to categorise the reports better.
-
That will depend on where your Store on the platform you play the game on is registered at - if you've moved for example, you would need to change that with the Platform owner ie Steam.
-
No you cannot get banned from a false report - if you've done nothing, you have nothing to worry about!
-
This forum is for the Core game, we are not part of DbD Mobile and therefore would not be able to give any updates.

who picks the stats to show?? like these are not interesting in the slightest
for something you rarely share, you'd expect it to be more discussion worthy
Some is given from what has recently changed in the game, or from recent events (ie 2v8). The others are taken as requests we've had from players about what stats they want to see. We try to give a variety each time to appeal to our wide variety of players.
-
The widget often doesn't show tweets, that's out of our control with the way Twitch's API has changed.
It's why we always advise to check our social channels, as information is put on all platforms but not always the same things for each place.
-
There was no forum post about this, it's a social media campaign - so separate to the forums.
-
We have a team of Regional Community Managers for the particularly popular countries that we support. The Community also regularly check out all language feedback etc.
-
I'm sorry, but once an account has been linked to the BHVR Account, you can no longer link another account from the same platform - we are not able to bypass this, it's avoiding some unwarranted behaviour that people might attempt unfortunately.
-
I want to be very clear on the wording here, so that no misconceptions arise and that no false reports are made to our player support team. This is not a comment on the feedback however, which is duly noted.
This is not a hostage situation, the killer is not preventing the game from ending - both sides are able to progress the game, the survivor can do generators, the killer can close the hunt / hunt the survivor.
-
This issue should now have been solved Nvidia's side, please let us know if you're still having problems.

I don't know what they mean by "limited-time animated Twitch chat emote" but I wanted to be sure the forums were aware of this news!
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YRI59G9D1AR4/screenshot-20241021-164936-chrome.jpg
the limited time animated emote, is one of the twitch global emotes, which will be available to everyone for a short period of time.
-
We put out various stat data, especially when things change drastically. Right now the last kill rate data still applies - so there's no real need to reproduce the data.
-
Yes you can get a permanent ban from chat offences and it can be immediate without temporary ban first.
The filter does not protect someone from a ban either, as we can see exactly what was said.
We're not going to go into what is considered severe or not, I fully suggest people behave in a mature manner in end game chat and remember that there's other people on the other side of the screen. IF you feel unable to contain yourself - switch off chat!
-
Can you put your PC specs here as well please and ensure that they meet the requirements listed on the Steam Store page.

with Bardic it seems like it needs a hold down - not for the entire performance, but a quick tap of the key is not sufficient.

Okay, I'll attach the logs if I see this problem again. Do you reproduce the entire match code using these logs and thus find the problem? It's just that when I open it I see strange unreadable symbols😂
the symbols are the encryption, so we just have to decrypt it to view what happened.

Just out of curiosity…
Does our game director checking this forum? And what section of the forum he does check (if yes)? (Hopes are vague tbh…)
Maaaybe… Just maaybe… - He is one of us? Using a different nickname just to appear as a player like us? (That would be terrifying)
What I know for 100%… Almo does (Game designer). Community managers (Peanits, Mandy) does.
I know for sure there are more members of the game management here on the forum, but they're not as active on this forum as our community managers (as it should be tho).
No he is not on the forum, has an account but is not used. Mat Cote is Head of Partnerships so doesn't get involved in the Design Direction of the game, that falls to the Creative Director and Design Director.
Designers pop in from time to time, but rarely as this is not part of their job - the Community Manangers and myself are on the forums very regularly (as well as our other platforms) to monitor feedback, issues etc.
-
Can you make sure you're not just tapping the button for the perk and hold it down please?
