I've reported this to the Team as yes as far as I'm aware - Soul Guard should take the priority to get you off the ground if a Hex perk is still up.
-
The first thing I thought when I read it was - lobby times would certainly increase a lot. For that reason alone I am not sure if this would work.
-
@Michael_Myers this is the information that we've made available with regards to Cross Progression.
-
As there is no cross progression between Steam and those platforms it's impossible to answer if this is ever implemented
-
I use a mori pretty much when I have a daily, not a big fan of them otherwise and I tend to mori on death hook - I want my BP plus I enjoy the chases in game so would rather have more of them - it's more fun that looking for super immersed survivors hiding
-
I think this would give too much information to players and could lead to some pretty negative play which would end up making all survivors use DS.
-
Perks are changed fairly regularly at the moment it seems, changes are made when there's chance to work on them all. As you can see from the recent patches, quite a few perks have been changed/reworked.
-
Is this currently not working on Safe Unhooks? Cos afaik that's the way it's supposed to be. If you do have any information that this isn't working as intended please complete a bug report.
-
Event hooks cannot be sabotaged so it's possible that you were trying to sabo these, which is why it didn't work for you? Are you having the issue with all hooks? Also you weren't running Sabo perk, I am presuming that you found a toolbox in a chest?
-
I haven't had any problems using keys, it would help if you have a screenshot of the hatch that you were trying to open.
And I can confirm, there will not be a refund of BP etc.
-
Please remain respectful when posting on our forum @Schinsly there's no need of comments like that.

No offence but I trust the person with developer communication than the forum member with 173 posts.
Thank you
-
We do not have that feature integrated into DbD

this isnt true lol, it will prevent you from playing the killer unless they are the only killer in queue, so yes you can use the block player @TheWarNung
no that's not accurate, there is no way to block players or characters in DbD that's integrated into the game
-
The thinking around it probably is probably to not reward unnecessary pips - nobody wants to rank up against a player who was not in the same skill bracket. It does work both ways, just in the examples that you provide, there's 4 players against the 1 killer, plus as was previously mentioned the higher you climb in ranks the pipping conditions become harder.
-

There's a "block player" function on PC. It might only block messages though? I'm actually not sure.
yes that's only for chat messages, it's not a game thing
-
I think it would be a big problem to add this feature - you'd be able to "avoid" someone playing a killer you don't like or a good survivor is going to get avoided by all killers that play against them. It would just be too unfair on players.
-
@greekfire774 as you specifically say in your comment "my internet went crazy" I made no assumptions, just used your own words where you blamed your internet.
-
99'ing generators was an old tactic against Piggy plus it was something that used to be done a lot in the early days of the game, 99'ing all 5 gens then just running around the map activating them all at once - this was before the killer could damage gens.
It's a tactic that can work on Piggy, but of course Piggy can still damage the gens now and if they have Pop even more so...so it's not holding the game hostage.
-
Please keep this thread on topic, it's about PH changes and nothing else. If you want to discuss something other than that, please make another thread for that conversation.
-
We understand that the name of Legions weapon could be upsetting or otherwise harmful to some of our playerbase and the decision to change the name was made based on that.
-
Can you please double check that you're logging in AFTER 11am EST please
-
I'm just going to put a quick warning on this post, to not let this thread get out of hand - be nice! It's the old "if you have nothing nice to say about this person, please move along" Thank you <3

@MandyTalk Is there any statistics providing a chart or something, so we know how many times one has to DC to get to a specific number of Ban Time?
There is nothing official posted by us with regards to this or the decay time of the penalty. We tend to avoid giving this information out as there are ways that things can be abused.
-
Technically there is a bleedout feature when you are slugged, as you do bleed out. If something were added to speed up this bleedout it would have to have some definite circumstances around using it, because otherwise it would be easily abusable AND there are times as a killer where it's beneficial to slug for pressure - and I will remind everyone that slugging is not bannable, the fact that you bleedout when slugged shows that it's pretty much a game mechanic.
-
Must admit, I agree with S4bertooth, I've seen a lot less DC's with the penalty in place, it was pretty much every match prior to the penalty being implemented again.
And whilst I sympathise with regards to the poor internet connection, you must remember that when you play an online game such as this, your internet affects other players so you do have a level of responsibility to make sure that you're not ruining the match for the 4 other players.
I appreciate that these things are not as easy to sort out as "not dc'ing in a game" but the outcome is sadly the same - the game is ruined for the other players, which is why DC penalties exist across the board.
-
I'd love if DC penalties weren't needed, sadly it doesn't seem like this is the case.
The problem is, people DC for various things - get downed early in a match = DC, playing against a killer you don't like = DC, playing against a perk you don't like = DC, getting a hex totem broken early in the match = DC....I've seen all these things happen in game. And sadly, it just ruins the game for the other players.
I do believe when you're playing an online game and you ready up in that lobby, then you've committed yourself to play that match, regardless of whether you end up on a map you don't like or any of the reasons given above, that's the whole nature of the game - for both sides.
Yes it sucks if you have bad internet and then get DC penalties for it, but also on the other side of the coin - should other people's games be ruined because of your bad internet? I don't think they should be.
As the DC penalties start at a really low time, this takes into account the time for IRL emergencies which is what the Leave Match button is there for, not for leaving because you are losing in a game. It's a PvP game at the end of the day, spoiling the game for everyone else who's playing really isn't on.
-
As you're pretty new to the game and playing Meg, I'd suggest running Sprint Burst as it's Meg's perk so you will have it.
Builds are tricky because it depends on what you have unlocked, most people use perks from all different characters once they've leveled them up and found builds that suit them.
I remember Spine Chill being a staple of mine when I started back in 2016 or it could have been Premonition, too long ago to remember. But one of those with Spine Chill is a good start, but don't rely on it, use your eyes and always be wary of your surroundings - where you're going to run to for example.

Can someone grab me a video of this please?
-
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us this is the support address, you can send the clips and profile information there.
Thank you.
-
Hi this is know, there's an acknowledged bug report in on this.
-
You still need to be able to play online with your PS4, so will still need to have a PS Plus account
-
😉 I see no issue here...
-
Thank you! I've passed the information along, only had screenshots previously so the video is very helpful <3
-
If you can get me screenshots/video that would be a great help
Thank you

I'm a trap magnet! The Trapper can place one single trap on a map and I guarantee that I will find it with my feetsies, it happens all the time!
-
I think I am probably the only person in existence who actually presses the Spacebar - I just can't help myself, I do it automatically 😪
-
For Killer it has to be Enduring for me, I cannot play without it (I'm weaning myself off Brutal Strength, I got terribly addicted!)
For Survivor, that one is harder for me but I think Quick & Quiet, I use it in all my builds it's pretty much the only constant perk I run.
-
That's the right log file, thank you for being so thorough in your report!
-
I think a lot of it comes that many people don't play both sides of the game, so they don't fully understand the frustration that the other side feels about the game. Also, there is skill involved in this game and I do hope that the MMR system will help to level out that playing field a bit, then maybe there'll be less disatisfaction with individual matches.
Also, I think human nature does tend to lead to us all having a bit of a moan at times and focusing on the negative more than the positive, however positive we try to be as individuals, the negativity can creep in at times.
Just my opinion though.
-
So happy to hear that! Thank you for your feedback.
-
The team try to get a variety of cosmetics out for all characters that we can do that for - obviously we have licensing restrictions to take into consideration as well.
Also, the joy of cosmetics is that they are optional and some might want dirty trousers whilst some want clean - so at least that option is there.
But thank you for your feedback :)
-
I'll close this thread, please if you have feedback on the FPS issues use the Feedback sub forum so we can check on how the fix went
Thank you.

Yes they did. I just played a match and its sooooooo much better. The relief.
you have no idea how happy I am to hear that! Thanks for the information.

Because of the laws of specific Countries with regards to competitions.
-
Unfortunately whilst we would love to be able to offer the competition in every Country we legally have to abide by those Countries laws, so we are unable to do this, as a result some Countries are exempt from the competition.
-
Can those that have this issue please upload their log files for me, so I can get this looked into properly?
1. Press Windows Key + R to bring up "Run".
2. Type this in the "Run" prompt: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
3. The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file.
^ that's how you get the log file. We'll need this so we can get further information from it.
Thanks for your help
-
Only certain Countries are able to be included due to the laws in those Countries.

Please make sure you are opening your game after 11am EST. You have to restart if you've got the game open and you have to do it before 10.59am EST the following day...so the 24hr period basically.
