Unfair games aren't fun.
I thought you enjoyed DbD?

He is implying that different = unhealthy. He seems to not want killers that force survivors to diverge from the usual gameplay. What is the problem with killers having different counterplay to the usual looping? The 3 killers he gave as examples show this. You can't simply loop them like you would wraith because you would get hit with something. This does not make them too strong it makes them different. This variety is needed.
Because chases are the only thing that keeps most people playing DbD, and killers with no counterplay remove chases. And yeah, these killers have no counterplay. You aren't getting outplayed, because there's no play you can make. It's just get spotted, get hit, hold W.
-
Yeah, no, that's not how causal games work. This isn't Siege, it isn't Overwatch, it's Dead By Daylight. That means it gets balanced around the majority, not the minority, because it's a casual game that need to be fun more than fair.
Edit: Or, to look at it another way, people that play casual games competitively shouldn't talk about balance, since what is balanced for them will ruin everyone else's experience.

Neither was Victor. Dude didn't die right after he was born.

I don't really play Jumpscare Myers, but I do like playing against him.

You and others misread what I said. I'm saying that there would be no point to killers all being basically the same in response to OP. I'm not saying that's how it actually is now.
I misread nothing. The OP was pointing out unhealthy killers, you heavily implied that their idea of a "healthy" killer is one that survivors can bully, I gave a handful of killers with unique and strong powers that support the OP's argument.

If you start your attack and bl activate at the same time you covert more distance and that distance make the diference between a hit or a miss when survivor are at the pallet or window.
5% extra speed doesn't get you hits.

All the time you hit a survivor at a pallet is prob because of BL tier 1 or when a survivor greed a loop and you hit them just before the pallet its prob BL 1 too. I can agree with the removal of bloodlust tier 2 and 3 but bloodlust 1 is need
Nope, that is never true. I only ever get T1 bloodlust right as I land a hit, if at all.
-
I don't think Bloodlust has ever given me a hit that I couldn't have gotten without it. If the meta does magically shift, then it's not because of average players.

I still don’t get how dramatic people are being about this. They’re safe once, and once only. After that they become death traps. Some areas are actually death traps with the breakable wall left intact.
I love breaking the wall of the lower level bathroom in Midwich but leaving the wall above it intact, and if the opportunity arises, herd a chase into the area.
The problem is that its kind of just a big ######### you, from the Devs, to everyone that plays killer. Sure, break the wall and it's a deathtrap - but it takes longer to break the wall than it does to break a god pallet, meaning the survivor gets an immense amount of distance completly for free by using a resource that never used to exist and doesn't detract from the other resources they have, with the exception of the Storehouse.

Did you by chance read the post? If you did then you'd realize he DIED, AS A KID and then was resurrected. When you die your body does not age and therefore he can not be the same age as her. His husk may be, but development and brainwise that is a no go and because he was revived you can't count the years he was dead as his age. It is dumb to do so.
So you were a baby til you were a teenager?

It doesn't. Not even close but I was referring to the devs idea of "Lets shut off something to see what happens".
That's not what the Devs are doing. Ever since the first Badham rework, veteran players and every Fog Whisperer I've seen talk about Bloodlust has wanted it gone.
-
How does Bloodlust compare to DS?
-
Bloodlust only helps when the survivors hold W.
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
What point are you trying to prove? Just break the damn wall. Once it’s gone that loop is never safe for a survivor again.
And yet the distance gained is ridiculous to the point of who even thought this was a good idea. You've basically handed out an entire generators worth of chase distance spread across the three survivors that are doing the damn generators, and it's actually much quicker to just vault the god window and hope no-one else tries to use it, which is actually where Bloodlust comes in because if you've got T2/T3 Bloodlust then it is much quicker to let them run the god loop and hit them while they're being predictable. Which is a rare occasion, but with these windows reimplemented so very many survivors will run straight for them and make it pretty simple to get 30 seconds of uninterrupted chasing.
Not that Bloodlust is a good mechanic in most parts of DbD, and I really do hope they remove it completely, but unfortunately BS does fight BS.

The Devs have been releasing very good survivor perks with every chapter this year, they just aren't mindlessly amazing like most meta perks are. And I mean that for both survivor and killer.
-
Deathslinger. He's extremely easy against survivors that aren't that good, but he's one of the few killers that can take down the best teams, and given that he actually has the power to do so it makes mastering him extremely difficult. You have to know all the little trick shots and consistently land max-range hits with absolutely no misses. And if you do that, you really can stand a chance against almost anyone.
-
It depends on which gens get done. Usually it's a couple that are pretty far out and which shrink the map quite nicely, but sometimes a teams on to it (or quite often if you're unlucky enough to constantly go against co-ordinated teams, it happens, we've all been there) and they do generators in the middle and basically destroy you before you've gotten one hook.
-
I hate it. It never feels like it actually helps the killer win, like a perk should. It just seems to be a way of saving face by getting 1 extra little kill. At least it has its place in endgame builds, but it just never feels fair to have to leave someone behind because you didn't find the totem.

Canadians apparently also have their own "thanksgiving" but it's in Oct according to captain google.
I really just want more bloodpoints during any holiday :D
I feel like we should have some sort of international version. It gets confusing keeping all these holidays straight in my head.

Isn't that the colonialism celebration thingy?

bro imagine thinking indoor maps are survivor sided what the-
Killers have no info and survivors have some of the easiest stealth of their lives, and on the Game they also have the easiest chases. I'm not saying survivors have no problems - the info thing cuts both ways, after all. But there's a reason I fear a Hawkins map offerring more than Haddonfield or Ormond.

no it’s not. Just because you have a definition of what tunnel vision would mean in DbD does not mean your interpretation is the one and only.
or- other interpretation: tunneling in DbD is just Legion or Nurse having their fatigue. That’s the only real tunnel vision in DbD. You can’t tell me otherwise since it’s literally getting tunnel vision. Nothing else comes closer.
It's not my interpretation or personal definition, it's how the term came to exist in DbD.

There are people with other definitions of tunneling. It’s not well defined
It is, actually. The term came from "getting tunnel vision." Just because people want to change it to fit their narrative doesn't mean that the term is actually undefined.

That's a pretty normal Billy trial for me, and I neither main Billy or am particularly good with him. Just run around sawing people and, if you truly are a casual player, you won't care if you pip or depip. If you aren't so casual, well, just do it anyway and you'll have gotten the challenge out of the way one way or another.

I completely agree! I have seen hardcore tunneling and slugging-- Like, body camping and walking over them as they die while everyone else does gens and escapes. I just think that's cruel!
And on the other hand, I've seen killers get accused of that despite just slugging one person and immediately chasing another. Like, c'mon...
-
I agree, to an extent. And that extent is "when you aren't trying to hurt someone." Up til that point, though, it is just a game. Mori's, keys, tunneling, genrushing, whatever. Those are the Devs problems for allowing them to exist, not the players problem for... playing... them? My grasp on the English language just vanished, but I hope my point got across. Playing a game? Great. Playing to hurt someone? Not so great.

I am playing killer. But when I tunnel I don’t act surprised for getting called a tunneler.
Please explain how chasing the only survivor you can see is in any way ignoring everyone else
-
Blight with Make Your Choice, Dragons Grip, PGTW, and either BBQ for points or Discordance if I don't feel like points.
-
Dragons Grip. It might activate once or twice in a trial, but the sheer paranoia will stop them from tapping gens you've recently kicked, thus also giving you a little free regression.
-
Pretty much every perk. Right now I'm making builds around Built to Last and Visionary.
-
It depends on the killer, but generally yeah. It's like how the survivor meta is to run full second-chance builds - when that's the strongest thing you can do, people do it. Also, not shitting on second chance builds, but if anyone reading this plays like that, at least consider swapping one of them out for an info perk if you're solo.

The funny thing to me is that Doctor is so weak in certain areas. No mobility like Nurse or Hag or Billy. No 1 shot down ability like Billy or Bubba or Oni. No range like Huntress or Slinger. For all the things they can do they are still an m1 killer with normal speed.
He's only an m1 killer if the survivors hold W. No matter what, he always has the very powerful ability that is his shock therapy attack. I'm not saying that he's overpowered by any means - any killer than can be looped by running in a straight line and instadropping pallets isn't that strong in my book.
-
Loops are trash, but stealth is extremely easy and borderline overpowered. Worst kind of balanced, but still pretty balanced, in the sense that everyone gets screwed over.
-
I just wanted to laugh at how this answer is for a different question. Although it is still totally true.
-
Clearly, I main David, Quentin and Tapp.
-
Doesn't it increase your shard income, since it's much quicker to level up at lower levels?
-
Long story short, nobody likes denial. That's all Doc is about: Denial. Denying stealth. Denying healing. Denying generators. Denying pallets. Denying windows. Denying exit gates. Everything Doc does is about removing an ability from the survivors already-barren arsenal. It's pretty understandable that people hate him.
Personally, I just hate that his add-ons are so ridiculously strong.
-
I'm getting real sick of people seeing BBQ and PGTW together and assuming that they're some sort of big power combo. If you're looking for the actual combo, it's PGTW/Thrilling Tremors. BBQ is pretty much just there for points - it has so much counterplay, and so many people automatically expect it, that it is probably one of the least useful tracking perks in terms of actual tracking.
-
Got some skills to keep that many stacks of PWYF. I normally only get 3...
-
Kate with the flower ponytail and jeans and whatever top I feel like at the time, usually her bloody slip dress.
-
Oh, yeah. Remember toolboxes/instaheals/instasaw and learn from them, PLEASE
-
I like the educational Blight mori, because that's why you don't do drugs that glow bright orange and also that you found in a horrifying alien realm of endless torture, death and resurrection.
-
Deep Wounds has been completely gutted and nothing will change that, not unless an internal decision within the Dev team is changed (reworking chase mechanics to be uncheesable instead of removing/avoiding any negative to being in a chase as killer). Everything else is either too oppressive or too weak.
-
Okay. I prefer Plague over Oni.
-
[Insert Second Kate Denson Giving "The Pointer"]
-
Because Freddy in the hands of a mediocre player is nearly indistinguishable from Freddy in the hands of an amazing player, and he's strong enough that nothing but slamming gens gets escapes. Which is all that DbD tournaments are, even the BP ones.
-
To be fair, Q&Q is such a good perk... Just the ability to bamboozle the killer is so nice.
"Hi, hey, you wanted to chase me? Oh, how sweet, I'm gonna fast vault this window halfway through your mindgame, you're gonna think I faked it, and now I've got some sweet, delicious distance candy!"
I ######### love that perk. Especially when I'm going against it. It's just a new dynamic to chases.
Edit: by new I mean "something that's been in the game since forever but I rarely see so it always feels new"

If you dont want to repeatedly slam your face into a wall, I don't want to hear about it.
