Get yourself boil over 9/10 grabs it won't do anything but o that 10th one.. nothing more funny then watching a killer unable to get through a door
-
I like BP but with out some sorting out you're going to get a bunch of easy wins for killers so how is that going to be any fun?
-
Alright so what's the answer more gen time?
-
.... Can't remember last time I saw someone bring a flashlight haha
-
Can you killers quit sweating so hard after dcers haha it's like man we had two dcers and this guy is camping me. What is wrong with you?

Those perks are not nearly as oppressive as eruption. Stopping gens from being done for thirty seconds is the only thing that enables that playstyle.
Not as bad no but a knight three gen is a tough nut to crack
-
Idk guys I think everyone here is being a tad bit dramatic. I've seen seen plenty of killers no sweat 4k survivors. Yeah some nerfs are coming for eruption but you guys will find something else to use.
-
I don't play killer but... I might start....

That's because 3-gens are too strong right now but once Eruption gets nerfed in the upcoming patch that should help quite a bit. That is not a good reason to keep CoH as strong as it is when it is not balanced. Saying "X thing is okay even though it's OP because it helps counter Y thing that's OP" is bad game design.
Eruption getting nerfed doesnt mean 3 geners are going to magically give up the habit. Brine, overcharge, nowhere to hid and the like are still there something needs to counter it and CoH helps out alot

Self-care fills that need and isn't a free perk for 3 out of the 4 survivors.
3-gens being too strong right now doesn't mean CoH isn't also too strong.
self care takes to long that gen has been kicked to the dirt by the time I'm back, not even included the rest of us. CoH keeps killers honest chase and hook or they just keep coming back.

Coh is fine the only boon that doesn't need a change
Stopped reading here. There's no way the rest of the suggestions could possibly be good if you actually think this.
Eh I think it's fine, it helps with three geners. You don't want to chase fine I'll heal and be right back on that gen
-
Hope not, I don't want to give buffs to the guy who can you kill you first hit
-
Eh it's an us vs them game, so you are going to get a us vs them board
-
Idk buddy I've seen trapper 4k a bunch in this game. Does he always? No, but still it's not gloom and doom that this forums seems to think.
-
I saw a post where the community thinks 80% kill rate is acceptable/desired. I dont want the community to make any decisions hahaha.

Dead hard in my opinion is better than it was.
Because now you hit the survivor with endurance they get a big ass speed boost and make it to another pallet or multiple.
Before : you swing (they dead hard) and dont get the huge speed boost but have a big DH distance
WHAT THEY SHOULD DO: You dead hard (no endurance) (no big dead hard distance) and you just avoid the hit without making way too much distance.
I dont give a damn if you disagree but tell me what you think anyway ( I PLAY BOTH SIDES EQUALLY)
EDIT: They should just remove dead hard 💀
When someone screams I PLAY BOTH SIDES idk I tend not to believe them...

At this point I don't want any more new maps until existing map design is heavily improved. There are enough maps in the game to provide variety to the point where I'm okay not having new maps for a while.
Idk they will never create a map that people agree are good, nature of the game
-
@Veinslay said:
60% is fine for kill rates because they provide buffer to account for hook suicides that doom an entire team and (somewhat) survivors that needlessly die in EGC trying to save a mate when they could have just left. Sub 50% kill rates would be a massive problem imo
Has the devs ever stated that suicides have tilted the kill rate?
-
@DBDVulture said:
Step one: we need a highly skilled killer & survivor player on the dev team.
Step two : the devs need to be willing to nerf the best things in the game such as SWF Nurse and Blight.
Step three : DBD needs innovative ideas to reforge the current meta so that tunneling gens/survivors is not how every game plays out.
Why nerf all swf, my brothers and I play some nights we are not pros. Just cause you group up doesn't make anyone good

I keep getting matched with killers with names like "quick game" and "free pip" - and they just stand there either not moving at all, or hitting the air and not moving. Really annoying, keep reporting them but it keeps happening.
How do people keep getting that.. ######### I'll take a free win
-
What maps you guys getting? I can sab a hook and the killer walks 6 feet to another hook.

@Killing_Time said:
Listen, I played Docktah and several other killers on maps like Garden of BS, ARTIST MAP, and so on... Like come on. Without slowdown Perks, it's a 0k pretty much every game. Most of the maps are entirely too big and have so many tiles that combo you're left defenseless. I'm playing on console since I have more unlocked there and it's a pain not being able to use mobility killers. (not billy... He's terrible now.)
Map design eventually HAS TO GET ADDRESSED!
I disagree, I think some maps are to small. Knight for example can just 3 gen forever nowadays

THIS... I would love an easy game I get huntress who never misses an axe or a nurse that has mastered blink or a Wesker who downs me and then dances around while I bleed out. Sorry rant just frustrated. Grass be greener

...you use maps?

Couple things here,
1. Survivors have 2 basic objectives, Do gens and power the gates, and escape. The only way to do the 2nd objective is to do the first, or have all your teammates die.
2. Killers also have 2 objectives, Prevent survivors from escaping, and kill them. The killers objectives are not mutually exclusive, if the killer kills all survivors, they are prevented from escaping. If the killer prevents the doors from being opened the survivors die. Both of the killers objectives complete the other one.
It is literally impossible for survivors to be trying to do those gens and never creating an opportunity for the killer to get a chance at a chase. The killer is just not doing it, and holding the gens instead of killing.A survivor choosing to run away is not an obligation to chase, killers drop chase all the time for all kinds of reasons, in this case it's because taking the chase would be detrimental to the killers objective of killing the maximum number of survivors.
The killer isnt doing anything to stop the survivors from trying to do gens (Aside from the example of Doctor spam shocking everyone to keep them in tier 3 madness where they literally cannot try to do gens), the survivors are choosing not to do gens to preserve health/hook states, blaming the killer for not chasing you and therefore throwing the game is ludicrous because, and I will say this clearly, When the match timer ends the survivors are claimed by the entity and the killer wins.
End of discussion.
Ok so what do we do then .. throw ourselves at the killer? Maybe he)she will be merciful?
-
I would like to get DS back to NOED levels, what I mean is during end game I have to pause before going in for a save.... does he have NOED err maybe...but if he doesnt I can save...
DS ha killers dont worry about that at all they tunnel and pick up without a moment thought.
-
Yeah fogwise aside the perks are hilarious bad. Damn near slippery meat level

You are actively bleeding out. The game is progressing.
The killer has also shut the hatch. Endgame collapse has started. The game is in the process of ending.
I'm a survivor main who also dislikes being slugged, but this is all clear stuff.
I'm not crazy right? This is still bull that I've got to wait for the whole timer as the killer dances around? Why are people acting like this is a good thing? Haha let's say he hasn't closed it now I'm just slowly so slowly crawling around till I find it just to have him\her close it. How is that not stoping my progress there is nothing I can do. Can I at least bleed out faster?

No? Just don't like my time wasted. Are you here to throw insults and jeers ?

@Blueberry said:
Hard disagree. Base kit Unbreakable would have been one of the worst changes they've ever made.
Killers leaving survivors on the ground to bleed out is nearly a non-existent thing, like .1% of matches. Can't even remember that last time that's happened in a year. There are also tons of anti-slug perks available if it's actually happening that much.
If you don't want to left on the ground when it's only 2 survivors left then get rid of the free hatch escape, that's the only reason they're doing it.
I want this guys luck in games! I've been bleed out 4 times the past week

the game will end after one hour - so it's indefinite up to that period. There's nothing the player can do to progress the game, which is where the hostage situation comes into it.
Yeah but if I'm bleeding out on the ground last survivor there is nothing I can do to progress the game. I can't open the door from the ground and killer has shut the trap door isn't that hostage then?
-
@Mandy said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3336253#Comment_3336253
Whilst you might not feel that 4 minutes bleedout is very quick, it's most certainly not indefinite - which is where we draw the definition of hostage taking from, including not being able to progress the game. A survivor being slugged and bleeding out is not indefinite and is progressing the game as that survivor is dying.
Not trying to be a jerk but if don't do gens and hid for the full game or if a killer traps someone in a corner, it's not indefinite either the game ends after such a time. So where does the line between hostage and annoyance begin?
-
Face camping not a problem with the knights it's his 3 gen game... He can make a game go full distance with that

Or is this just how it is now? Playthings for the survivors?
Any word on this, or is killer in a good spot in bhvrs opinion? I dont care what the killstats say. Killer isnt FUN / SCARY anymore. I feel like its my job to just entertain 4 people.
Why are survivors compared to seal team 6 swf. I see a lot of killer 4ks. If all killers are buffed so everyone can compare to that high tier you are going to killer your low tier ( me) survivor base ahah

@KSzerker said:
25% survival rate would be fairly accurate to the horror films that inspired DBD.
Yeah but if I'm only getting 25% survival rate because " it's accurate to the films" then I better start seeing more skin because that's just as accurate /jk

I don't expect killers to go easy on me, I'm totally fine with them wanting to end the game quickly at that point. But if 2 people DC in a game, the third person usually sees it now as competition for the hatch and I'd rather just go next. So I'll stay on a gen until the killer finds me. The only time I get cranky is when, at that stage, they leave me slugged. Despite me not putting up a fight and clearly letting them kill me so I can go next. If I'm not the one wasting their time hiding for hatch, then just let me go.
Yeah thats part of the sweat hog thing, fine you win but must you slug for 4k ?
-
I think it wouldnt sting so bad if killers would just go easy on the group that had dcs, nope most killers I play still go full sweat hog.
We are a man maybe two down there is no way we were going to win.

You literally gave the answer... you'll die in 4 minutes. There's an end.
Yeah I don't think 4 minutes is very quick, hey if you got nothing better to do for those 4 minutes awesome, I'm jelly but I got limited time to play at night

@Mandy said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3336242#Comment_3336242
Because it will end very quickly...hostage situations are when nothing can be done to end it and it can do go on indefinitely.
You been bleed out before while killer dances around you? Can you honestly say it's very quickly haha?

@Mandy said:
Someone has already linked the official game rules here for you so I will refrain from relinking them.
Our official rules do state that tunneling is not a bannable offence and yes it is essentially part of the game.
Holding the game hostage is something we've answered many times on this forum, I am sure that you will find many comments by myself and Peanits addressing the situation - and those are official comments. And in answer to your question, yes blocking someone so that they cannot do anything to progress the game is against game rules - if they are not in dying state (bleedout), EGC has not started (countdown timer for end of game), on a hook (again hook timer will end) - there is nothing they can do to progress that game, so the player who is preventing them taking part in the game is at fault here.
We do not monitor anything that happens outside of our official platforms, we take action when our game rules are broken but what happens on other platforms such as Twitter or Twich etc, are on them to monitor and take action if it breaks their rules.
How is being bleed out for 4 minutes not considered hostage is beyond me.

I imagine its when the survivor team is built around such perks is the real problem. because as a killer the only time boil over really gives me trouble is when another survivor is running saboteur or a toolbox
Crys in solo

I hear killers complain about boil over but every time I use it the killer barely notices what gives?!

Well people are always saying they want other objectives thank just pressing M1 on a gen. They offer than and people complain it's taking away time from gens.
I can't speak for everyone but I I'm fine with gens. It's simple so I can keep my head turning around for killer.

I am sick and goddamn tired of getting multi-thousand hour survivor teams just because they keep whining about having long queues for being good at the game. MMR exists for a reason, if you're going to code the Matchmaking System to literally ignore it, then don't even ######### bother making it.
You could always Houston Texans it and tank for better games?
-
No hate, but I think it's a little annoying as I have to go on a marry walk to get to an envelope which is time wasted from being on gen. I also noted that when I relive mine the killer knows that someone is in that area.
