This isn´t the flex you think it is.
I was flexing ?
-
I always loved the pallet stun still got hit thing.. should be one or the other
-
I must be playing at the wrong time cause I keep running into killers who get 4 k no sweat hahaha
-
Where are all these weak killers when I play!? I haven't gotten out in 8 games straight now
-
@Marik1987 said:
Thats simply not true.
Just do one of those 2 "awful gens" on RPD at the start and thats it man.
And what the killer is just going to let you do it? I had a knight the other night (ha) camp those two and one to the east. I basically suicided because the game went on forever.

What do you mean with evidence? Someone disconnecting or suiciding on the first down dooms the rest of the team. Is this even debatable?
Yesterday i had a match on the swamp against Blight. He tunneled hard but got his third hook (the kill) when we had 4 gens completed and my gen was at 30%. Next down instantly suicided on the first hook.
The match could have ended in a 2 or 3 man escape.
My point was how wide spread is it, is it enough to effect the killers 60% kill rate? I'm just not convinced of that.
-
@Tsulan said:
If people would stop disconnecting and suiciding, the kill rates would be lower.
Much lower...
Yeah, if wish were horses. But do we have any evidence of that claim? To me killers have it better then they have had it for a while now.
-
Really? I only see it after I'm/teammates are hit so we all have assume every killer has it
-
@MrDardon said:
DH (or any Perk) should not be designed in a way where you as a player need to A: Wait it out and or B: Assume someone has it even though they might not have it.
Those 2 things make a Perk way to strong and easily meta and is also a bad design in my opinion. Perks should always have some sort of telling if they are present or not, via icon or anything tbh. But some strong Perks don't have such thing while really weak ones do have them even though they don't need them.
Any perk? Can we get a NOED notification too?

well, if the constant knowledge of where the killer is and all your allies without any perks is fair, then for good the killer should also receive all the information perks simply by running the discord
by the way, constant communication in a game that is designed for the fact that survivors cannot talk to each other
Idk man they constantly tell us that swf are not really all that better than solos so I don't think it's that much of a problem
-
@HoodedWildKard said:
Tbf there's a few 3 gens like this I've noticed. And since the update a few gen postions have changed.
Rpd, haddon field and dead dawg all have super tight 3 gen setups that are mad easy to defend. Be way to avoid 3 genning is getvthe dangerous central gens done early and split the map. Then make sure to work both sides.
Yeah but we are not facing bots. The killer goes straight into the strong 3 gen and there isn't much that can be done call of brine you know

@DBDVulture said:

RPD is not a fair map unless two gens are in the main room.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3330491#Comment_3330491
-"Two Gens in the Main Hall is just stupid"
Counterpoint : maps over a certain size are not fair for about half the killers in the game because they have low mobility and no ability to deal with god pallets.
Every map should have a powerful three generator setup that the killer can choose to defend and it is up to the survivors to break. The stronger the map (like RPD) the stronger the three gen should be.
"Every map should have a powerful three generator setup that the killer can choose to defend and it is up to the survivors to break."
Yeah nothing more fun the game going into a cold war where both sides just kinda look at each other haha
-
Knight is terrifying when he three gens.
-
Yeah they keep shrinking these maps it's getting basically impossible if the killer just devotes himself to gen kicking simulator
-
@Gamall said:
Don't know what is going on but this is happening more frequently in recent times, especially on the new reworked maps (rpd and Haddonfield too).
Making realms smaller is leading to a situation when avoiding a 3gen is pretty tough, particularly if the killer decide to not move from there
Some of these maps are getting too small, hell fought knight just now, we got into a 3 gen (solo be fun) and he just kicked gens. With call of the brine and eruption. I kind of just gave up because the match was taking forever.
-
@Sanna said:
I agree with this, a lot of people in solo queue play selfishly and I think a BP reward for dead survivors at the end based on each survivor alive would be a good change (so like at the end of the trial the dead survivors could gain a certain percentage of bonus BP depending on how many survivors escaped)?
It would make things more fair for anyone who gets tunneled out early too so maybe getting tunneled won't feel AS bad.
Oooo that would be a good update. You get bonus bp depending on how many survive. Would make people really think I could just leave or could go for a rescue and get extra
Please devs!

Killers are all freaking plastic man you'll get hit a mile from vault. It's just his this game runs killers get the advantage of there is a difference between the survivor and killer view

You're assuming quite a lot. When it's not that complicated. SWF does do better than Solo's. Duo's alone performs far times better than Solo's. Taking away the Killer's ability to see when they faced SWF is only making it harder for them to learn for the long run, and with that ruins the Killer's playing experience. A better assumption would be by giving players better ability to know what's going on and happening in their match they will know the areas they are underperforming, and be able to apply that do better. Killer has no information during or after game than a few scores. It's almost like you guys forgot it's players that have to perform these roles in the first place.
My man the guy just said yeah swf don't really perform all that much better on average

Skill issue? How often are you being bled out?
In the last month it's only happened to me once, and it's because I was memeing with soul guard/exponential/no mither/breakdown.
But you know, I guess you'd rather have an unlucky situation play out with an instant loss coupled with a SWEET mori animation!!!
Fine skill issue can I be off and not laying there for 4 minutes. And if you haven't been slugged for 4 k man what a blessed DBD you got haha
-
Man I must be playing in the wrong games as survivor haha I've seen killers get 4k a few times since patch

lol, I used to not struggle, then a huntress once walked the whole map with me on her shoulder to find hatch, when she found it, she dropped me close to it and let me crawl a bit, when I got real close she closed the hatch, picked me back up and hooked me. LOL
Never again I did not not struggle. hahahaha
Yeah man I've had so many killers do that I always struggle too

It's boring and prevents comeback plays. It strips player freedom.
And yes, as evidenced by the PTB a while back, it will encourage slugging.
It's a horrible idea and if they ever implement it, DbD will ultimately die.
I feel very free bleeding out for 4 minutes hahah

Or just run unbreakable, personally in the last month I think I've been slugged for the sake of being bled out twice. Once by killers choice, 2nd by my own hiding in a deadzone to deny them emblem points.
If it is happening so often in your games that it is an issue, then you should bring a perk to help with that situation if one exists, which in this case it does.
Yeah unbreakable doesn't work for bleed out killers

Match Summary:
Wraith finds a three-gen to hold instantly. I have Deja Vu and try to break it, Wraith hits me, I run away. I quickly figure out he isn't going to leave, no big deal, I heal up. Overcharge skill check, almost miss it but I hit it. Wraith comes back. Repeat until one player gets hooked in a dead zone and tunneled out. Nobody else except for me can hit Overcharge consistently, he also has Eruption. Those gens are not getting done since he refuses to leave.
I get slugged in shack (there is a gen there). He just dings his bell and shakes his head as I crawl to basement, trying to get him to hook me. Instead, he leaves me slugged for the rest of the match until he wants to 4K, where he picks me up and drops me until I wiggle free. I force him to grab me out of a locker, he tries it again and I bleed out too fast. Queue messages saying, "eZ, trash player, expected better" and one thing that got him comm banned.
Very enjoyable experience. Definitely one of the matches of Dead By Daylight of all time. In summary, I wish I was either able to be mori'd or that UB was a thing. I literally do not care which, I just don't want to do that again.
Yeah at least tell us it's canned if true cause I just want to know what's going bout that.

The feeling of Huntress hit you with hatchet at range near the exit, then the race between you to escape and her to pick you up. The mechanic makes you instantly die after the hatchet.
The healing tech from teammate prevent killer pick you up, so all can escape. The mechanic makes it teammates escape and you instantly moried.
Teammate escape/die while you're slugged on the ground, the feeling of crawling and find hatch near by. The mechanic makes you instantly die.
Those are moments that make DBD vids always fun to watch.
What that happens once maybe if youre lucky twice my friend I've been slugged for 4 k or bleed out at least once a night
-
My friend simple answer if the killer does it it's not reportable haha
-
Drives me crazy too, why are you searching boxes nothing but trash in there. What ever you get is not as useful as just getting on a gen

Hey! I don't care about all that, the whole point is the killer experience is now significantly harder! Everything else your saying about swf is irrelevant!
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3327519#Comment_3327519
Desperately? I disagree, people are just bad at the game overall because they make dumb decisions that gets themselves and the team killed! That's the truth and the matter of fact!
The game is horribly unbalanced now! You can't tell me it isn't!
Its like being in a swf, it doesnt make you Mr. Amazing I think some people just hit the high end mmr and got slapped back down to where they are supposed to be. No shame Imp not high level either.

Only if it was a specifically conditional one. There's enough people DCing on first down without giving them a way to quit instantly in-game.
Ba if people are going to quit they just will specifical conditions are easy to mess with so just let me go

Why should it stop?
Why should Killers always be forced to pick up within 45s, no matter where the Survivor is, whether their teammates are around (and preparing sabo stuff), whether there's flashlights obviously ready, whether there's literally no hook nearby, and if the slugging creates more team pressure than hooking the Survivor actually would (death hook etc.)?
If you want one side to have an entire tactical choice taken away from them, give a better reason than I don't like it happening to me.
Fine can I at least get a suicide button?!

@RainehDaze said:

Because iron grasp can't actually counter sabo play half the time; if the hooks get too spread out it's impossible. When it's buffed, it literally doesn't matter; you don't get enough distance to reach hooks in the time available. You can get something like an entire fifth of the map with a single hook, everyone will go down in one corner, and that one hook gets sabotaged. Carrying someone literally halfway across the map, with obstacles, just isn't doable.
And it would need to be agi+iron grasp to even have a chance. Iron Grasp on its own adds 7m before wiggling out, but that's nothing with dedicated builds; weirdly enough, most maps don't let you walk in a straight line across them and the difference between 59 and 66m isn't enough to help.
Then put that into context: if a Killer wants to have a chance against a dedicated sabo team that they don't know is coming, they should use half their perks when those are otherwise only useful for carting someone off to the basement. Unbreakable can at least have value when someone's not going to slug to death.
Really? I've just been unlucky then I've seen iron grasp and that trapper perk take people basement from across the map haha

If you find that waiting for 4 minutes (which does not occur every match) is too much for you to handle, I would suggest closing the game and spending that time on something much more productive like learning a new skill/spending time with loved ones.
My friend I don't have hours to play those 4 minutes add up
-
@RainehDaze said:
Sabo play being stronger leads to situations where Killers can't hook anyone, ever. Take a look at when they buffed Boil Over and what it did on pre-rework RPD, or full sabo teams and hook offerings on Eyrie.
It can't be buffed, because you get a game situation where one side can't win properly (no matter what they do) and the only option is a 4-man slug (which can take even longer when people start mucking around with exponential and unbreakable and even no mither).
Not trying to be an ######### but when I'm slugged everyone says welp should have brought unbreakable. Why should I feel bad for killers and not just say welp should have brought iron grasp
-
@HoodedWildKard said:
Sabo plays are supposed to be extremely hard to pull off. Really a successful sabo should only cause a carried surv to struggle out so the hook shouldn't stay sabo'd for too long.
For a killer having a surv struggle out is a huge loss. And as mentioned above most teams that regularly pull off sabo plays are remarkably awful to play against.
Idk I've sab hooks and the killer just drops the guy and waits for it to come back... Not much of an advantage since we have two people of gens and how risky it is to pull off.. I agree with op don't bother with sab

What does 'often' mean?
As opposed to 'seldom' or 'sometimes', it refers to a rare of frequency at around 50%, but generally greater than 50% of the time.
You absolutely are not getting bled out 'often'.
If it happens once a night that one to many in my book
-
I feel you brother Ive been bleed out or down for 4 k alot. People (killers) will squeak about unbreakable but my guys it only works once after that youre eating pavement for 4 long minutes.
It's bullcrap everyone knows it now we are just waiting on a fix

Nothing like ghosting a killer and you can see him/her spinning around in frustration looking for you. It's a good feeling haha

There's A LOT of pallets on the map. And I mean A LOT A LOT.
There is a perk that allows you to restore pallets, it is called: Any Means Necessary
Depends on rng, I've had maps where they spawned dead zones where there isn't a pallet in sight and others where they may have 2 or 3 good ones within running distance. And AMN only works if killers don't destroy them which most do
-
Yeah sneaky brothers stealth killers hurt can't recharge for anything. But man nothing is as good as a killer kicking a gen doing a quick 360 and walking away why you are literally behind the gen
-
Survivor main so take it with salt but I find it annoying and cheap but hey nothing going to happen to you and it is an easy w.
I do hate that there are so many hooks and all damn close that you can pull stuff like that but hey them the breaks
So going back yeah it's not like you are going to get any official backlash but if you are looking for people to say good work camping yeah that's probably not going to happen hahah

It's not true in the slightest. While I'm sure he can find some third party site that claims certain statistics, we actually have data from BHVR on this that includes 100% of all DBD players:
Latest report was October 2022, average kill rate is 61%. This is kill rates, not 'wins'. If we define a killer 'loss' with 0-1k, and 'win' at 3-4k, calling a 2k a tie game, the win rate is roughly 50/50.
Even using a different definition of 'win' doesn't change the fact that killers are averaging better than a 2k using global numbers.
That's what I thought, it was really low from the games I've seen
-

We need a base game update of the crow system. Did you touch a generator in the last two minutes? If no then you get crows. Crows achieved this way can only be removed by either being in a chase with the killer for 20+ seconds or completing 20 seconds of generator repair. Healing yourself or another survivor should be adequate to prevent "stalling".
I don't support these guys but your suggest is a little harsh, as a survivor main I've had a few times where I couldn't get 20 seconds on a gen because killer is 3 genning hard and no amount of pull will take him away from them. O and trying to get that killer to chase you for 20 secs is pulling teeth.

Yea, but the game isn't necessarily unwinnable, and even if it is, salty players just DC at the drop of a hat, so it may be "nice" but it's just not fun to have to basically throw every other match. I mean I like to run Video Tape and Crate of Gears on Pig, then for perks I bring Blood Warden, No Way Out, Remember Me, and Terminus. So if a player is like "OMG Video Tape, sweaty Pig I quit" and disconnects, why should I stop playing? I don't expect the killer to do it when I am playing survivor, and I don't do it when I am playing killer.
If you got a DC at the first down, not saying it's impossible but yeah I wouldn't put money in Vegas. I usually appreciate a kinda killer on that but even if you aren't going to let us go can killer not tunnel and sweat hog it up ?
