I'm thinking nerf bat to break up the endless Wesker

What´s the point? You are a killer, you hit a survivor, you made your goal, what do you get? 2% penalty to gens speed.
You are a survivor, you get hit, you failed... Tha killer got you... You are punished? No... Take this 9% against my 2%...
If the killer hit all four survivors you have 20% (8 + 12 bonus), if all four survivors get wounded what they get? 9% FOR EACH ONE! Total: 36%, if survivors have a Prove Thyself bonus increase to 15%.
I´m not including all other gens speed perks or Brand New Parts and toolboxes.
It´s not fair.
Want to state I hate that argument, the o they made a mistake they should be punished. Don't you killers have few perks like NOED that basically mean the same thing. You messed up but heres a second chance?

well the question was about whats the difference between tunneling survivors and tunneling Gen.
A completed Gen doesnt stop killer from playing. A dead survivor does stop a player from playing.
I dont defend on survivors’BM behaviour
Yeah pretty much this, getting gen rushed sucks but hey you can do stuff. When I'm being camped there isn't anything I can do expect having a staring contest with the bubba
-
Dh is dead, the forum would explode if they try and do anything positive for it

I don’t even remember the last time I was camped or tunneled.
You are quite blessed

@beefstew said:
Yes, let's nerf the killers even further by freezing them in place and the only way to thaw out is when the survivors fully repair 2 generators. This will make the game fair and balanced!
Yeah, freezing in place and can't do anything... Yeah that's what slugging feels like...
-
@illNicola said:
Also genrush makes me (and many other killers) want to quit this game, yet I don't think people complain about it as much as slugging, camping and tunneling...

@Bardon said:
Firstly, how is slugging punishment for playing "good"? Unless the Killer is talking to you via Discord or some other program there's no way for you to tell why you're being slugged.
Secondly - ever heard of a paragraph? That wall of text was painful to read just for the format.
Finally, your last statement "ps to the people who wanna contradict me I won't respond to it your comment will just be sitting here" means that there is literally no point to your creating this thread. This is a discussion board, so people will discuss things.
I got slugged and the Wesker danced untill I bleed out .. think he was saying great job on looping me for so long?
-
The year is 2030 gens now take over 5 minutes to do, killers still say they pop to fast. .
-
O no please don't do that what ever will I do if the killer slugged it's not like I don't get slugged nightly.
So you are going to slug, want a cookie?

I note that no developer has commented as this should be a very easy question to answer.
SWFs when using communications causes all sorts of imbalance to the game and as such BHVR have acknowledged this by trying to buff solo survivors (and by doing so almost always also buffing SWF survivors).
...how do you nerf swf? You going to punish someone for having friends?
-
Buff trapper
Rework Freddy
Nerf blight
Remove Wesker

Yeah i kinda wanted to say this
Playerbase so often reacts so emotionally to other players but when they do the same to them they block it or just go out of the way to invalidate it.
So all people is shout at each other
It is sad to see
Bro are you trying to take the high road right after saying it's funny?

Yeah, that's not how it works.
People read this thread and project their own issues onto it. The subject of slugging, in particular, is not your unique issue that will only be discussed in the manner you desire.
Like it or not, most of the things Survivors complain about, including Slugging, are extremely subjective. What one player calls "Camping" isn't going to have universal agreement in most cases.
Did the Killer message you and confess he was attempting to ensure you had an awful time?
If not, you are guessing at their motivations. If you have video of the game, we can take a look and see if we agree (though, as I mentioned, you'll get different responses).
If they did message you, just forward the message to the devs and your all set. Otherwise, ... here we are.
I had a Wesker watch me bleed out while shaking his head and slashing.... Think maybe he was telling me what an awesome looper I was?

Bleed out is also a mechanic in the game you could say by your own logic survivors who purposely go down in a corner where someone has already died on hook so there's no where to hook them are purposely dodging the hooking mechanic in the game. Either survivors should win fair and square or it doesn't mean anything.
Much like unbreakable don't you guys have a perk you could use? But I'm trying to go for adapt? Yeah... We got that problem too...
-
@[Deleted User] said:
But staying at the exitgate and T-bagging the killer for 2 minutes of every match is ok?
The killer can just push survivors out, they cant be helt responisble for their own actions right?
this ^ have been happening for a very long time, i see this as karma striking back.
Also, i rarely play killer and i still get groups there run to no hook spots on the map when i do, no options to let them bleed or let them win.
There be a difference, those inbred morons are not preventing the killer from playing. Now imagine if survivors had a way to stop the killers from chasing, from breaking pallets, hell from moving all that much! For four minutes all they could do was watch the survivors teabag them... The forums would be set a blaze.

and when they break all the hooks and run to the corner? This happens at least once a day for me or they'll go out of their way to die in the same spots preventing me from hooking the last
I know this is mean and I'm trying to say this in nice terms. You know how survivors are always told your fun is not my concern, well....
To be honest however I don't see how that happens regularly most maps don't really have dead hook zones unless you just happen to only hook in one area.

You didn't read it and that's obvious because that's not necessarily what op is saying. Op was talking about the times in which during your adepts you feel you have to slug for the 4k to avoid a hatch game and then can't find who you slugged. That's not "going for bleed outs."
I read it, yeah still bull trying to dodge a mechanic in this game by bleed out. So yeah imo no reward. You want your adepts you play fair and square. If it was easy it wouldnt mean anything.
-
@Dead_by_David17 said:
This is probably a subject matter that has been touched on a billion times since they changed killer adepts to 4ks only, but I'm hoping by making yet another post on it that BHVR sees it and at least considers it.
A survivor DCing or bleeding out because you couldn't find them shouldn't end a killers attempt at an adept. At the very least, DCs should be made to count. Even with killer adepts being made easier with the change, it's still up to factors out of the killers control to successfully get their adept.
Ironically I think the old system was easier because at least then at lower ranks you could still pull it off thanks to the emblems.
Reward a bleed out.. yeah no thanks. Should go for hooks not bleed out.

I don’t think you get it. Hiding doesn’t progress the game and you get crows because of this. Slugging can progress the game because it gives the killer pressure and results in a win if they manage to down everyone. That’s a bad comparison. Furthermore, I wouldn’t care if they removed the crows. Experienced killers don’t need them to find people.
How is refusing to hook and dancing around progressing the game?

It also prevents:
Slug races
Gifting hatch
Clutch Deliverance plays
Clutch Power Struggle plays
Clutch Unbreakable plays
Clutch Soul Guard plays
Clutch Adrenaline plays
Clutch Sabo plays
Potential of crawling to hatch/exit gate
Choosing the location of a mori
Mori'ing anyone other than the last survivor
The entire purpose behind Devour and Rancor
Killer agency in deciding to mori/hook/mercy
Sorry I'd rather tab out for a couple mins once every 100 matches and not lose a ton of potential game outcomes for the sake of a canned cutscene animation that will get old after 2 days.
O God not slug races what ever shall we do with out slug races. I would rather never see any of that again if it means no more bleed out.
-
@_Demidrol said:
Repeatedly SWF use tactics where one disconnects and the last one escapes into the hatch. Is it fair? I understand if you forcing yourself die on hook, but just disconnecting is not sporting. Therefore, the idea: the hatch does not appear if one of the last two disconnects. What do you think?
Maybe if the killer didn't try and dance around hatch by slugging for 4k then people wouldn't have to do stuff like that.
Killer does what they can to bypass hatch survivors should be allowed to do the same.
-
@I_CAME said:
Is it currently ban worthy? Like if you send a video of the killer bleeding you out and bming will they get a temp ban for griefing? There's a very clear line between slugging to win and bleeding people out just to be toxic. I've never actually known the answer to this. I feel like people would be less likely to do it if escalating bans existed.
Nope, this is behavior you got to do some crazy vile thing for them to notice. They are the most griefer friendly company I've seen haha.

Any change you could make to prevent “unnecessary” slugging would also hurt instances in which the killer needs to slug.
I disagree, hell hiding is a valid strategy for survivors but we still got crows because prolonging the game isn't very fun but someone the killer is allowed to prolong the game?

I get that, and it sucks. But it dosnt make a killer or a survivor OP. The player is just a toxic fool. When i was killer I have had games with SWFs that as soon as they saw that i could not catch them, they just stopped doing gens and harassed me and dragged the match, because they apperently were bullies. Should the survivors be nerfed because of that? no.
I have also had matches with almost any killer that if they would, they could have dragged the match.
It all comes down to the person behind the screen.
Fine give us a way to rate them then, these days of sunshine should be forced to play each other.
-
Only killers love the new coh haha, I play solo and I never see it. Why would you? You expect someone to just be in the aura waiting on you to heal? Nah they are doing gens or (most likely) hiding in lockers.
They made one of survivors best counters against 3 geners into a joke. O well overcome I guess?

I’ll be honest: If I start the match with heartbeat (happens every ~5 matches) and I get downed within seconds ingame I don’t wanna play. I don’t even try when the killer directly chases me 2 seconds after spawning. I can’t remember spawning literally next to the killer was a thing in the past. Last week I had a match where I saw the huntress in the camera animation at start. Nah thanks.
All these maps are to damn small
-
Please just give me a suicide button or something. No one likes to wait on bleed out.
-
I know killers don't want to hear it but the last official stat has her at what like 60 or something kill rate.
Would like another stat block from behavior to show that some killers are not as bad as the crowd has deemed
-
Of course, but some people have a hatred of change so if they ever announce it the forum will be a fire strom haha

Would it be possible for one or two of the Devs to show us how to play solo queue at the moment? Since the update, many matches have been virtually unplayable. It would be great for Devs to prove to us that it's a skill issue and nothing more..
It would be funny watching them try and explain how it's fair and fun to play while being bleed out by a bm killer.
4 minutes of the camera on them slugged, " Well.. yeah.. this isn't great but it's umm a valid strategy and we just can't do anything about it because umm....blah blah blah..."

Anyone know a way to sneak a legion, he's the one killer I'm like welp guess no stealth this round.

I swear sometimes we're playing different games. I've got like 3000 odd hours and I can count the negative interactions I've had on both sides with one hand. My end game chats are usually just ggwp or someone saying they got juiced well by someone or something.
Chat I don't really read or care so no problem there but if you can only count on one hand the amount of times you have been bleed out, you are one blessed survivor

I play Wesker and I mainly go against 1000+ hour swf. I play him pretty decently and can get a down in under 45 seconds usually. The problem arises when I literally lose a gen every down because I don't have any gen regression perks since I never much cared about investing in the shrine and this month it's been pretty terrible. They literally sit on a gen as I'm right there in chase with someone injured which I can't leave otherwise they'll just heal up. I still play fairly, but when it comes down to one gen being left I facecamp because why would I want to lose my rank especially if I'm sure the last gen will pop any second anyway? The entire team always comes to save the unhooked person, body block me completely the entire time and never forget to tea bag me as if I couldn't have just tunneled the survivors off hook at the start. The toxicity is just absurd and I want to know if I can ever please survivors enough to not tea bag me and respect my plays? Is it too much to ask for a game where the survivors just leave instead of making fun of me facecamping endgame after they fully gen rush me? NOED is starting to look really nice right now in my loadout and I don't mind tunneling.
I think its just another chapter in this flame war.
Survivors are told that their fun is not the killers problem and git gud.
Then you are going to get an increase of tea baggin, gen jockeys, and EZ NOOB!!11!!. Why not spit in the face of the enemy? This mole would camp you on hook if he could!
Which only makes killers just assume all survivors are jerks and play to max scum.
Which ends up in me hooked here, having a staring contest with this Leather Face.
Some cycle of abuse here.
Kind of sad really.

"My friend it just not fun not playing the game," Then why play it, why are you here at all?
Call it passive aggressive if you wish, but you started with claiming what I was saying is bollocks the reason for which was "other people will complain about something else"
Its both aggressive and irrelevant, so I opted to give you some relevance but you don't have any good replies other than you don't find the game fun.
So I say again if you don't find it fun why are you here?
You don't need me to insult you, it seems like you are doing just fine beating yourself up on your own if you are spending your time playing a game you don't like and being angry about it. Why do that to yourself?
Because it's still a fun game, just need tweaks. Kinda of like basketball when they put in a shot clock in 1954 to decrease stalling and just unfun play time.
They're were probably people like you saying "But stalling is part of the game!!!" Yeah well times changes friend.

So you may need to apply some thought on when best to use it so as not to waste it. Thinking is good for the brain.
"O bollocks to that, if survivors could stop the killer from doing anything for 4 straight minutes the forums would be on fire" <- this is not the statement of an objective opinion. But making the point that "killers complain too" in a very "us vs them" kind of way, however factual it may turn out to be, doesn't legitimize your point or counter the points I have made.
I offered a solution to the scenario you pitch here, but you didn't read that did you?
My friend it just not fun not playing the game, you can write me a passive aggressive book all you want but laying on the ground and not contributing to the match isn't fun.
But continue on with your insults I'm sure they are the high light of your day.

@pseudechis said:

Ah the ol "other people complain so why can't we argument" as if that lends legitimacy to any kind of complaint. But lets unpack it anyway.
That does happen in a way, players whine all the time about survivors hanging out at the gates for the full 3min timer. Not exactly the same but its players whining about timers so semi relevant.
People whine no matter what side they choose to affiliate themselves with, moreso if they have chosen a particular side, because blind tribalism tends to obscure objectivity.
About the only time it makes sense to shorten the bleed out timer is if all players a slugged and there is no way to recover the team. It makes sense in that scenario to speed up the timer.
Otherwise 4min is not the end of the world any shorter and you'd probably bleed out too quick if repeatedly slugged throughout the game. (maybe 3 mins would work, but the goal is to give your teammates enough time to pick you up before you bleed out).
Also slugging, and knowing when to slug are important tools in the killer arsenal so we don't want to completely remove it.
A base kit UB would just render a lot of play options mute making it a relatively bad fix also.
Being downed needs to remain a genuine threat to avoid, if you could just pick yourself up for free then where is the threat? So not a great idea.
Its good advice to say if you don't like being slugged then bring unbreakable. There is a tool to help you escape from that condition so use it.
"But I want to avoid being slugged while still brining the build of my choice waah" is the common response to that and now we are moving into the realm player entitlement which leads to stale meta.
We can all bring the most optimal build possible every game because there are no in game effects we have to consider or avoid as the tools to avoid them are all built in. Why have perks at all at that point?
So the ol mantra goes lets get rid of this one "boring' effect because it takes too long, by making the game less varied, threatening, exciting and generally more stale on the whole, that'll fix the bor... er... wait a minute?
I like to remind audience that unbreakable only works once... And it's not tribal to think waiting four minutes while the killer dances around you is kinda bull
-
@pseudechis said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3416158#Comment_3416158
Bleeding out is just part of the game and a rather thematic part at that.
It takes 4 mins in accumulated time which is not long at all.
O bollocks to that, if survivors could stop the killer from doing anything for 4 straight minutes the forums would be on fire
-
@Sava18 said:
I mean if you haven't preformed a conspicuous action for 60 seconds then your aura should be straight up revealed. I really don't think there's a valid argument for why that shouldn't exist. Crows can be easily circumvented. Imagine if the killer could stand still and all gens would be blocked during that time.
60 seconds is a little short, hell sometimes I've had to hide that long while killer searches around the gen I was working on
